I know that 1.4.15 is supposed to be updated to the latest version of BFGMiner but just to be clear, is that 3.3.0?
242  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: BFGMiner 3.2.0: modular ASIC/FPGA, GBT, Strtm, RPC, Lnx/OpnWrt/PPA/W64, BE Blade on: September 01, 2013, 07:27:27 PM

Also make sure the user account have access to ttyUSB0 or run the miner as root using sudo

This appears to have turned the trick!  As always it's the little things that trip me up.  Many thanks!!

I'm trying to move my block erupters over to a MacMini running Ubuntu 12.04.  I installed bfgminer using the instructions on BTCGuild's setup page.  Bfgminer appears to have installed without complaints but the block erupter I've been using to test the setup isn't being recognized.  When I run bfgminer the only output I get is

Code:
$ ./bfgminer -o stratum+tcp://stratum.btcguild.com:3333 -u username -p pwd -S all --icarus-options 115200:1:1 --icarus-timing 3.0=100
All devices disabled, cannot mine!

and when I check to see if the BE is showing up this is what I get.

Code:
$ ls -la /dev/ttyUSB*
crw-rw---- 1 root dialout 188, 0 Sep  1 13:18 /dev/ttyUSB0

Any help I might get would be greatly appreciated.

No. Just up to twenty. Like holding your breath to get rid of the hiccups. Feel free to join in

We have to be careful though.  If we count too fast we'll run out of numbers before this block ends.   Grin

Hey!  At least we notched another 0.01%!!   Tongue

I think the chain popped off...

At this pace it's looking like a 12 hour block.   Roll Eyes

19436, 19437, and 19438 all just over half reward for me... and that is half with regards to our new increase in hashing power.(another 3+ TH/s! nice!) Wondering if it's cause of the increase hashing power that blocks need to be recalc'd more often. or maybe i just don't notice it so much sometimes as I do right now.

I agree they do seem a bit off but the luck has been nice.

I just checked mine and with 2 confirms left, block 19421 is now showing a normal reward.
yep. fixed now.

Anybody thinking this block is a little light?

Yeah, I'm waiting for the same 3 blocks rewards to move from unconfirmed to confirmed.

I wanted to install MacMiner on a Mac Mini late 2006 but currently it isn't compiled for 32 bit support.  If I install Ubuntu 10.04, which is the recommended version for this hw, will I still be able to install bfgminer from the PPA?  Is it compiled for 32 bit support?  I tried to compile it, bfgminer, using Xcode but it kept throwing errors related to the fact that Snow Leopard apparently uses a legacy version of C or ObjC.  Or will I have to upgrade the hardware and go from there?

By the way, I'm not all that adept in a shell environment but I'm willing to try...   Grin
255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: The official MacMiner thread [BTC/LTC-CPU/GPU/FPGA/ASIC] on: July 28, 2013, 02:40:16 PM
I'm trying to run MacMiner 1.4 , for 10.6.8, on a late 2006 Mac Mini, it's got the original 1.66 CoreDuo processor.  I've downloaded it and once extracted the app has a circle/slash and if clicked upon gives a message that this app is not supported on this type of mac.  I've just skimmed through the entire thread looking for something specific to this and nothing caught my eye.  I was also looking for a link to an earlier version in the hopes that I could try that.
Hmm, I must have compiled without 32 bit support, the first few intel Macs were 32 bit - I'll look at fixing that in the next update, thanks for the report!

Thanks for the effort with MacMiner!

Hmm, too much luck, or something else?
Pool luck (1 day, 7 days, 30 days):   171%, 121%, 100%

On a separate note, having multiple rounds each more than 20 minutes apart still displaying "processing..." greatly displeases me. not that it matters at all whether i am pleased, lol.

You must be even more displeased now that it's four rounds!!
