Total supply one billion and you giving away 200 + 400 for KYC. Do you really think that someone will be irresponsible enough to send you ID for that?
242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Idena is the first Proof-of-Person Blockchain on: March 21, 2020, 10:45:12 AM

Showing private messages in general it's a piece of shit conduct. You coudl've just tag my name and that would've been enough, right? But when you are dumb as fuck..that's it.

Yep I am selling my right to invite people, if anyone will decide to want, you should send me PM. If not, gl.

It looks like the community is being corrupted by these people I even see one guy offering to suck a dick just to get an invite  Cheesy, no this is not right Andrew is giving us something free here why not share your blessing too I have given invites to people that failed but I never blame them, this is not how a community is build.

It doesn't matter what's fair or not, the common consense matters ;Wink

Exactly, I personally see nothing wrong in selling invites but I won't sell them tho.
I wonder if it is you.

From the perspective of an investor, the more community will try to stop people from selling invites the higher it's price and coins will be.
243  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1.1 BTC Puzzle by Phemex on: March 21, 2020, 09:55:57 AM
the hard part is figuring out what the hell this puzzle means and WHAT to try because it is the least clear puzzle i have ever seen and i've seen lots of them.
This. It's not really a puzzle when people are just blindly bruteforcing thousands of potential combinations. The whole point of a puzzle is that there should be logical clues which one can follow to reach the intended outcome. There was zero way to know we are meant to convert the words in to a number before he said so on his blog. There was zero way to know we are looking for a 27 digit number before he said so on his blog. And even with the additional "hints" he has released, there is still no logical path from start to finish. There are people on twitter and GitHub who have bruteforced hundreds of thousands of combinations and methods of turning those 4 words in to numbers, and combining those numbers with the 21 digit prime, and turning the result in to a private key. At this point, it is just a guessing game. Somebody might blindly stumble on the right answer, but it will be through sheer luck, not through any logical reasoning.

It's a bad puzzle, and it's only the size of the prize that is keeping people interested.
You just understood the whole idea of this event. The main idea of this puzzle is to get the Phemex exchange more popular. When I showed this puzzle to my friend who is a senior developer he said that the puzzle is probably that hard that you have a miracle to solve. I'm not arguing that it isn't solvable but it requires a tons of free time.  Eventually, the puzzle will be solved probably by the person from Phemex and they will split the prize. Seeing how people with extreme knowledge about cryptographic and programming failed I really doubt someone from outside Phemex will solve it.

You can not expect 1.1 BTC to just drop on your lap. Can you?
See, I was right the Puzzle was impossible to solve/

246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Takeover of PoS blockchain on the example of Steem on: March 10, 2020, 10:01:43 AM
Steem is a blockchain-based social platform. So when you create content, it is saved on the Steem network, in short you get crypto for posting valuable content.

However, Steem has a dark history - the so-called Ninja Mining, a classic element in cryptography. The creators Ned Scott and Dan Larimer have been mining the cryptocurrencies for a few days together with others (in the sense of the entry itself was announced, but without any documentation on how to run the PoW node, so they mined a lot of coins). Dan Larimer left the project probably in 2016 and started developing EOS, and Ned Scott continued his work. The company "Steemit Inc" founded by Ned is dedicated to providing the Steem node, hiring programmers and the Steemit.com Ok interface. 3 weeks ago Justin Sun (the one from Tron) bought Steemit thinking he was buying Steem (blockchain). The scandal was quite big, because users were confronted with a fact that was done. Justin often announced that he would take over the network and it would be fun on Tron and all. Ok. 1 week ago, the Witnesses (such counterparts of miners, but selected by the community) activated Soft Fork to block Justin's access to their funds, which he bought on the occasion of Steem's purchase, and today the septic tank has been spilled - Asian stock exchanges such as Binance,(funds are safu) Huobi or Poloniex (this one belongs to Justin Sun himself) using client funds, locked them in the network (stake) and chose their witnesses, completely namelessly taking over the network. What's the moral of this? Of course it's worth to be careful when investing in such shitcoins - even with TOP 100 as you can see. At the same time, you should watch out for the stock exchanges, which hold your money. Not your keys, not your bitcoin. Keeping your money on the stock exchange does not have to mean losing it, but also using it in quite controversial stocks? Three - it is quite possible that this does not only apply to DPoS, but also to Proof of Stake itself. Often the creators generate 100% of the tokens at once and then sell them on the stock exchanges. How do you know that by the way they don't buy them back (or get them) and don't have 51% of shares in the network?

247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nexus [NXS] - The TAO Framework Tritium, Amine, and Obsidian on: March 02, 2020, 11:56:15 AM
What a joke this has turned into.  It can’t even stay above 22 cents because people are so eager to dump it.

Then the “Founder,” who has hired at least 6 con artists in a row, put on two wastes  of time/money conferences, entered into partnerships that make Nexus look awful because they lead to nothing, claims that Nexus has no leader.  What a dishonest, gutless  piece of shit.  If Nexus has no leader who hired all the scammers, put on the ridiculous conferences, and entered into all these partnerships?  No wonder someone who worked with Colin called him “diabolical.”

need to buy more NXS cheap try move prices down?
good plan as longterm any NXS added into ur pocket at this prices will make u happy

there is not many blockchains with that big x100 chance as NXS nexus have it

in fact i would not wonder when this hidden gem outperform all top 50 coins on coinmarketcap

because it clearly deserve a place in that top 50 and is far undervalued project

tech wise and also from dev quality that stand behind this project and their visionary aim to nail exact what blockchainspace will need 2022 already with their roadmap
make this a 10-20% of ur portfoliosweight investment

i suggest a portfolio with like 40-50% btc 20-30% ETH 20-40% spread over high potential altcoins and NXS is one of the few top ranked coins for that high potential slots

opinion vs opinion?

VS

yes thats true!
everyone should inform himself and make himself a own opinion based on the facts of his research
This project won't stand up again no matter what you will write. The price will keep decreasing until it reaches the bottom as the other project outside the top 100. Just look at the disproportion between recent bitcoin pumps. The nxs price barely even moved. No matter what potential it could have the price is the most important thing. How do you think NXS  can beat DASH?

On your website we can find information about great partners and publications on mainstream news platforms. Unfortunately, there is nothing about the partnership details or links to publications. Will this be added to the website or can I ask you to provide more information and links here?
javascript:void(0);
I am especially interested in your cooperation with Coinbase. As far as I know, Coinbase does not support ERC20 tokens, so how look your cooperation with Coinbase?
All their partnerships are probably fake. Linkedin links unavailable.
My theory is that they pay some random people for their photos and upload them.
Do you share Headquarters with this company?

This company seems to be much older than yours and their status is live.
So you are probably lying about your headquarters.

Would you mind if you will state some good instructions on how we will going to solve the puzzle? All I can see is a face and an eye wuth numbers and it is pretty hard to guess on how we wre going to solve this puzzle and problem. But it seems that the puzzle was s really hard one because until now no one solve it and maybe there are some people who still don't understand this puzzle like me.
Just state some good idea and instructions.

Address is 1h8BNZkhsPiu6EKazP19WkGxDw3jHf9aT

The compressed public key is 02b4a72e4aaa69ba04b80c6891df01f50d191a65eccc61e4e9862d1e421ce815b3.

21 digit prime is 957496696762772407663.

Some words from the image need to be converted into a 27-digit decimal number.

The solution consists in 3 steps:

Finding the 21-digit prime
Converting some words from the image into a 27-digit decimal number.
This step is not known yet but is probably a function of the numbers found in steps 1 and 2 to generate a private key.
The 27-digit number does not start with and probably doesn't contain the 21-digit number (since Max claimed he could only recognize the 2-leading digits easily).

Puzzle is solvable without hints.

Capitalization of words in puzzle matters.

27-digit number is not necessarily a prime.

27-digit number doesn't involve consecutive digits of e.

Max's birthday, username, etc. are not relevant.

Only Max knows the private key but both Jack and Cecilia (chief marketing) know the method.
Letter from MAX:

"The first 21-digit prime found in consecutive digits of e is: 957496696762772407663
Already known
"The private key you derive from Satoshi’s portrait is a big integer, not Wallet Import Format (WIF)"
Seems self-evident since WIF is just a copy/paste friendly encoding of a private key.
"The filename of the picture is irrelevant"
"The next step involves converting some words from the portrait, without I/O, into a 27-digit number"
27-digit decimal number is too small to be the output of a hash function so we can probalby exclude their use for generating the number.
I/O possibly refers to Input/Output which could be a synonym for communication with the outside world (e.g. the puzzle is solvable without additional information found on the web).
I/O possibly refers to the fact that base58 encoding excludes the letters I, O, l, and 0.:

People are given free stuff and still complain.  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

PS. Somewhere  in chat room, devs mentioned looking for private investors to keep going with the project. This was before it ever was listed on an exchange. It was mentioned as a way so they could keep working on the project so everyone and their mama could keep mining on their crappy 10 year old Dell laptops.  Wink
which is ~$1225000 at current price. Isn't this enough?

This project starts to smell fishy... I hope the devs can come up with some explanations and make some light regarding this matter.
No. In the best scenario, they could only get 0.9btc which is approx 7-8 k$.

It is understandable that they are looking for investors, they put their time on this project.

@Flangler i jak poszło?

Przy okazji statystyki sieci:

Telegram przekroczył 1000 uczestników -> obecnie 1009. Od poprzedniego odczytu (720) minęło zaledwie 17 dni. 40% wzrost w niewiele ponad 2 tyg a wszystko marketingiem szeptanym.

https://medium.com/idena/idena-community-report-current-state-and-next-steps-dce97a0e3034

The idea of this project is very good, but there are still issues with wallets and flips but overall I think the project will be successful and eventually will hit big exchange.

What is the issue you have with the wallets and flips?
Post them in here and maybe some community members will help you with them.
Mainly my issue is with synching, finding peers no matter what kind of internet I use,  it is always the same. I have read od Discord that I should use VPS (remote server) instead but there is only Linux client option available. I have managed to unpack Linux client (deb. extension) but I have no idea how to run this on Windows.
From Faq channel on discord.
2.  chmod +x idena-node-linux-0.16.2 (make file possible to run)(??)

You can use Linux VPS for the node and Windows client at the same time, there is no need to unpack Linux client or anything like this.
Just set up a VPS and connect from your Wndows client to the VPS, you should have 18 connections all the time.
Ok. Thank you.I will try it tomorrow.
258  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I fail in trading on: February 24, 2020, 02:51:30 PM
No one can guarantee success in the crypto trade. I have learned trading for 4 years but have not found a good solution for my trade.
everyone has different talents and I decided trading wasn't a good idea. I quit.
Failure to trade is normal for me because in the past I have experienced this feeling and actually it was the most difficult time for my life. However, I still believe in myself and continue to invest because after failing, I have accumulated a lot of new knowledge and so far, my mentality is completely okay. In addition, this is my passive income so I always have a reasonable investment strategy before starting trading.
Investing differs from trading, investing is long term action while trading is short term action which requires a lot of patience and self-control.
I would suggest investing rather than trading but if you really want to trade remember to put stop losses!!! and when you have profitable order do not cancel it just put take profit. In my trading historie price went many times lower/higher just when I executed order.  I could get sometimes even 5 times more profits if I would do that.
