Hello, I'm new to BitCoins and I wanted to know if faucet pages are really worth the time?
Welcome to bitcointalk. Nope IMHO, the faucets don't worth your time. You can only get a few cents an hour on faucets, but you can get much more with real life jobs and bitcoin jobs ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0).

I don't really get it.
While the thread is "US Marshals: One Auction Bidder Claimed All 30,000 Silk Road Bitcoins", the replies are "Re: Lowest Unique number Wins 0.0001 bitcoins".
Did OP put the wrong stuff in the thread originally and edit it very quickly? Or did the repliers reply the wrong thread?

The good things about cex.io are that: 1. You can sell your hashrate at anytime 2. We do know that cex and ghash actually have the mining power they claim to have
The bad things are: 1. Very high hashrate price 2. Very high maintenance fee

Could you generate the private key for this for me ? 16modtb1c9UChJtAZr6m4hWk47AVsoSRZD
Thanks Jambola2
No he can't if i am not mistaken this if FBI silk road seized bitcoins address and he doesn't steal wallet priv keys he just generates something like 1yakuza(random numbers) public keys and just gives you part of the priv key the other part must be yours. The difficulty (and expected time to get a match) goes up 58x for every character added. You could indeed try getting the private key for that FBI address, but the success chance would be infinitesimal small. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

It seems to me OP has lost his/her interest in bitcoin real fast, and didn't come back after creating the account for a few days... ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif)

When i send BTC i have to pay a transaction Fee who gets it and Why?
The solo-miner (or mining pool) that confirms your transaction into the blockchain gets to claim the transaction fee for providing you this service. Another perfect answer from DM. In the design, bitcoin block reward will be halved every 210000 blocks (about 4 years), and will be zero (in about 2140). So, the tx fee will be more and more important, and eventually it will be the only incentive to get people mining bitcoin blocks.

When you check an address balance or a transaction status online, which block explorer do you use ?
I use blockchain.info, blockr.io, biteasy.com (in that order). The search function on blockexplorer.com is really very slow IMO.

Welcome to bitcointalk, and welcome to the bitcoin world. It is always nice to have more and more businesses accepting bitcoin. Good luck OP ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

I have been waiting to see the "The Rise and Rise of Bitcoin" for months. While the premiere took place in April, the firm is still in post-production stage...

So is there a script for the freebit.co.in already ?
freebit.co.in is just a blank page, or do you mean freebitco.in instead?

The bitcoin price has come back up to the level of 650 now. That being said, I myself don't expect to see a 50% increase in the next few months, unless we have some really big good news. But well, I hope I am wrong lol. ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

So there is no use of using CEX.IO? Are there any alternatives?
The most viable alternative is not using cloud mining at all to be honest, it's just too uncertain. Even though PBmining seems good and serious 5 years is a too long time span to be investing, at least imo. For all we know they're gone before 2015. Pretty much so. Bitcoin mining is needed to put unconfirmed transaction into the blockchain, but as a bitcoiner you don't necessarily need to be a miner yourself, especially when there is little profit but huge risk in the mining industry.

Everyone says that mining on a laptop is a bad idea because it will overheat and fall apart. They say that laptops weren't designed to have their CPUs or GPUs running at 100% for long periods. But how is mining different from running Crysis on max settings? I've never heard of people having their laptops break because they played too much video games. Shouldn't both mining and intensive gaming put an equal amount of stress on the laptop's components? Just curious because I'm going to buy a new laptop soon. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) As others mentioned, even on max setting, your GPU isn't running at 100%. And also, you probably won't play the game consecutively for hours, days and weeks. You may try mining on your new laptop for say an hour, and monitor your GPU temp closely to see how high it reaches.

Thanks for the link. Writing later on her own blog, Kaminska went further, suggesting that "the whole auction was a sting."
"For, if I was the government stuck with a bunch of bitcoin I couldn’t shift because everyone knew my coins were the Silk Road batch, I too might be inclined to 'launder' the association away via a sealed auction that would make everyone assume that the coins were no longer on my book but actually still were," Kaminska said.
That is an interesting theory. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Probably already been said but be wary of installing wallets for new alt-currencies, I've heard of at least two wallets with keyloggers. Also make sure to download from official websites and not random links posted up on the forum.
Would you mind sharing a little bit details? I have tried to search with Google but got no results.

Just curious how you come up with the 1.41% daily revenue drop estimate.

Is it really worth it to do mining these days? I mean, the energy consumption would probably eat all the profits. Am I wrong?
If you are hoping to get some profits in bitcoin mining, I am sorry to tell you the good days are gone. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Not only you need to consider the electricity cost, you also need to account for the uptrend of difficulty.

You could use localbitcoins for small trades, but if you are selling a good amount, you'd better complete the verification with an exchange and sell through it.
If you are just day-trading for profits, you could use btce without any verification.

Looks like the market is charmed all in a sudden. Price is standing at 632 usd now !!! What caused this ?
Pre-speculation bids that the result was an overbid instead of an underbid in the SR auction is my opinion OR the news got released somewhere and I need to start searching ^_^. That or sentiment is swinging upwards as June ends and we enter into July. Does anyone know if the SR auction is over ? Market is steadily rising. It is 652 USD now !!! Yes, it's been over. I don't think we will get any announcement as to who the winner was or what the price was, though. Apparently, it was one bidder for all 30k coins, and as far as I know, he/she hasn't come out of the woodwork. http://www.coindesk.com/us-marshals-release-new-data-silk-road-bitcoin-auction/Some info (no. of bidders, no. of bids) were announced, but no info on the winning bidders or winning price.
