You must take note that it is "going" to ban them. Has not done it yet.
Not sure how the legislation would work there. If they ban cryptocurrencies they also ban US dollars, Euros etc.
Lets watch this space. If there was an easy way to do this it would have already been done.
Cryptocurrency is decentralized. There is no one to attack to stop it!! Governments already know this and its a HUGE headache for them.

Remember reading this here. I am confident this will be one of the best ICO's of 2017 to ever have invested in. I have completed a comprehensive investigation into it.
Its Galdius. Its not just another cryptocurrency, jumping on the band wagon. Its block-chain development for CDN (Content delivery) and DDoS.
You will be hearing a lot more about it as this idea gains more and more attention. The idea itself is brilliant!

I have recently become involved with a project where they will be distributing unused "bandwidth" via the blockchain to provide a decentralized service for CDN (content delivery network) and DDoS protection.
Its an awesome idea and I am really excited about the future possibilities here.
Interested in thoughts for other services that could be possible by "mining" bandwith and providing a service.

I have yet to see a bounty campaign (this is advertising for ICO's) NOT put bitcointalk as the largest part of the ICO's bounty payout. That in itself answers the question I feel.

ICO's are creating so many new opportunities. This is how new ventures start.
Take the one I am currently backing with my signature. Its a bunch of young guys from Maryland university, brilliant minds who will probably make a massive change to the security of the Internet at reasonable price. A fantastic way to utilize block-chain for the Internet.
The problem with regulating cryptocurrency is that the same rules would then have to apply to FIAT currencies. FIAT is in actual fact a cryptocurrency - the difference is the technology with old style encryption. IE water marks and difficult to copy patterns on bank notes.

The truth of the matter is the answer is probably both as I am sure you have seen from this thread.
What is needed is a strategy - then stick to it.
If you buy Bitcoin now for a long term investment - IE you do not want to sell for 2 years. Its probably better to not buy Bitcoin since after Bitcoin gold is released the price will probably fall again as the majority of people buy back into the ALT market. So your strategy would be to buy after this when the price drops.
To buy up bitcoin right now to profit on bitcoin gold - probably means your strategy is too late. In other words you should have been buying bitcoin 2 months ago for this event.
The best strategy for now is to probably wait or maybe buy up the cheap ALT's.

There is only one problem with this strategy. That is everybody has the same strategy. What does this mean?
1. Bitcoin price will become overvalued and ALT's under valued.
2. As soon as Bitcoin gold is released there will be a rush on the ALT's again.
Will Bitcoin Gold be as valuable as everyone is speculating?
Everybody is following the same strategy however.
A clever strategy maybe to buy up all the really undervalued ALT's by selling your over-valued bitcoin.
Just a thought.

Remember we are dealing with cryptocurrency. Its exciting but extremely volatile.
Its all about speculation at the moment. Bitcoin gold. Everyone is trying to convert their ALT coins into Bitcoin to get free Bitcoin gold.
A better strategy is to buy the ALT coins cheap.

It really is all about being careful. Investing in an ICO is no different to investing into the stock market. There will be losers and winners.....always.
RISK versus RETURN is what its all about. People invest into ICO's to make a bigger return than they would in safer investments.
The higher the RISK the possibility of a higher return is greater. That works both ways however.
Simple rule - don't invest in anything that involves RISK is you cannot afford to loose it all!

Yes I think everyone was surprised at the value on Bitcoin Cash. Now as humans we will want to be greedy.
A definite strategy would need to be considered.
Sell Bitcoin "high" and buy ALT's cheap.
Sell your ALT's and buy Bitcoin.
Personally I think the first option is the smart one simply because the "majority" will be following the second strategy.
As they say...When one door closes another one opens.

I have studied the white paper and it is so refreshing to see the use of the blockchain used in the actual service that they will be providing.
Brilliant in my opinion. I will explain.
Cryptocurrency is what it is today because it is de-centralized. This is important because no government or group can attack it - IE kill the General and win the war!
This also works in reverse with DDos Protection. The hackers go for the centralized protection - destroy that and you destroy everything underneath it.
Read the white paper - there are some brilliant young minds that have come up with this. Its excellent in my opinion.
