You've turned it off for an hour to let it cool down and tried again? Worth a try.
If it was working yesterday and you've not touched it, could well be hardware problem. Seems like an odd part to break though, the ethernet controller wouldn't be my first guess as to something which would overheat.
You could try the hardware reset, check the instructions, you have to bridge two pins briefly, and then it should reset to the default IP address I think.

Well his game certainly isn't doing BlockRun any harm at the moment, they made 0.909BTC profit on that one.

So at a guess he got out of newbie jail as quickly as possible by spamming crap 5 times, which were later deleted, then attempts to sell this as soon as he can.
Seems that if newbie spam posts being deleted by mods doesn't actually reduce post count then there's NO incentive to at least try and be useful in newbie jail. Great.
PS: no apologies for derailing your ripoff off a thread.

Says he has 6 posts but in his "Last Posts" link I can only see this one - where are the others?

I actually don't care about the ads that much. The forum's income is much higher than necessary for its survival, and the ads probably aren't necessary for executing the forum's mission (though they help). But: - If we're selling ads, I want them to be as effective as possible (without being annoying).
Emphasis mine. So why sell them in the first place?

Wow, could you not at least try to pretend to play the game properly?

Anywhere below 50 is fine.
Actually even at just over 30% of the network there is a decent chance to get six blocks in a row (the criteria for a 100% successful double spend attack). So we do not want to get anywhere near 50% or risk being seen as a danger to the network. Having 51% simply guarantees a successful attack. Someone correct me if I am wrong. BTC Guild have indeed already done it multiple times through luck.

With regard to growing Asicminer's total hash rate to more than the current 20s%...
An attacker who controls 30% of the network has a 20% chance of solving 6 blocks in a row...so even though we are not the dreaded 51% attacker, the network would still be exposed to some risk by friedcat having 30%.
Moreover - if friedcat does get 30%, imagine that competitor pools of total size 40% gets taken out (eg ddos). Now Asicminer's 30% suddenly becomes 50% of the total, and again we are the attacker.
that's why what I was saying the hashing needs to be monitored. if you only 2.4 blocks of each 6 blocks (or 4 out of 10 in you like base 10) mined you will always be 40% of the network. ..if the network slows down you shut down some hash. nobody cares about a luck streak. . .they care about sustained hashing power. remember % of hash (and total network hash) are calculated by speed the blocks are being solved over time is what matters for network perception, not your potential to hash things. So if there is a software governor controlling the hardware and we never allow more than a 4 of 10 you will never be more than 40% of the network. you don't have to worry about sudden drops in network hash or any of that, because the governor will never allow it. Sorry, this is all pointless. The only time that controlling >50% of the network is a problem is if the person controlling it is malicious. With that in mind, if some software is responsible for shutting off hashpower temporarily, that malicious person could just disable the software whenever they felt like a bit of double spending. The only way for everyone on the bitcoin network to be assured that friedcat can't take advantage of having >50% of the network is not to have that hashing power in the first place.

OS X 10.8.3 - upgrade from 0.8.2rc1
Launch attempt #1 - splash screen abruptly disappeared during "Verifying blocks..." and process became unresponsive. Killed the process and tried again.
Couldn't reproduce this, started just fine first time on OSX 10.8.4 (dev seed) upgrading from 0.8.2rc1. No release candidate warning splashed all over this one?

My prediction: Grue is going to continue betting .99 BTC for each 1 BTC you put up. I see his plan and have a good idea why he's doing it.
My prediction: Grue is on Dipsy's payroll. He paid Grue to "win" the two auctions and made a tidy profit of BTC1.145. Why else would he risk 1 BTC to earn 1 BTC? Can anyone come up with a more likely story? Nah, grue's early posts on this thread paint the opposite picture to him being on the payroll. I have no idea what he's up to either, it can't be the net profit of 0.0001 per auction :p

and where do we get the 2800W from? Not from the power socket of any normal house hold!!!
Bless you guys on your 110v, so cute

Dunno why you made another thread, now anyone interested has to watch two places instead of one? Anyway I don't doubt you're genuine, but I'm much more interested in a finished product produced in conjunction with evilscoop, than I am in just some chips, so please shout loudly when you have that available

i'm sorry about the confusion in the hash rate but its 1900gh/s - 2100gh/s for half the cost of the 50gh/s BFL miner.... BFL has a 1500gh/s mini rig bitbuster, but there out of stock and have been for awhile now, so when you think about it at around 1400 - 1600$ per board your getting a product thats half the price of their 50gh/s miner...
We don't believe you. Also FWIW they've abandoned the 1500GH/s rig and changed it into a 500GH/s from what I've read. You saying you'll succeed where they failed? For a much lower price?

The problem with offering a bounty like this is people are going to blanket spam you with often irrelevant things.
Try setting the difficulty to 16 in pool.
I'd expand that to don't remote with ANYONE, they're no more likely to be able to fix it looking at your desktop than they are on here.

maybe you guys can give me a hand, those who have the blades up and running:
i just got the first shipment of the AM USB miners. blugged it in, installed the apparently required c210x uart bridge driver and... well, cg miner doesn't see it at all.
Probably want to find a USB miner thread, the blades are completely different and don't use cgminer at all.

Now, if I disable the wireless radio on my Verizon MI424WR Rev. E router then the blades will connect to the stratum proxy just fine, and hash ~12.5GH/s. They perform better via getwork as well, around 10GH/s. What the other person did to get around this was to connect a different wireless router and use that for wireless. I tried this, and still have the same problem - the blades will only perform properly with the connected wireless router is disabled. Leaving the wireless disabled isn't an option for me.
I've tried modifying any wireless setting I could think of, but nothing makes a difference other than shutting the wireless off.
So it sounds like it's just RF interference? With the blades not being enclosed in any sort of housing they're pretty vulnerable to this I suppose. Have you tried physically relocating them to another room?

My motive for winning the auction will be disclosed 7 days from now.
I'm not sure I can take the suspense!
