Hat? Hat! Go Bitcoin Go!

Provide an image to xhomerx10 (copy it here or send a PM) and he will most definitely come up with something more than awesome!

This is actually really depressing, people are getting excited over bitcoin at $3600 after where we have been.   Roll Eyes

Would you be more excited if we had gone down? Even a small move upwards is positive in these depressing times Smiley

Yeehaw, nice to see some green for a change.

Litecoin started to pump first, someone said that always when LTC pumps, BTC follows, wonder how many times this has been the case?

Anyways, lets hope this goes a bit further.

Have a nice and green weekend WO's!

** snap **

You don't suppose that particular officer was tendering your money to the government coffers, do you?

Do you really think I thought the money was going to the government? Or where do you see me being ripped off? I was talking about me, myself getting ripped off, by locals, the people. I still don't see how I got ripped off in here, as I paid 5k THB where it would have been 20k or more.

Even worse. That you can't see it is rather confusing. Some person was using the fact that he/she was employed by the local government as a tool with which to steal money from you. And you were oh so happy to have him/her do so.

How on earth can you interpret this as 'not getting ripped off'?

Now I'm starting to think you're delusional.

How is me "getting ripped off" with 5k worse than getting registered and paying 20+k?

You think an unofficial police check point in Thailand is a reality? Well, it isn't.

You're just showing how inexperienced you are when it comes to travelling. Another basement pro?

You have to ask homer (xhomerx10) for one, he will gladly make it.

You can even PM him (just don't spam please).

Give this guy some merits already so he could wear the hat, he has well deserved it Smiley

I'll take your word for it.

For some who are new at this:

Quote
Data Sources
We are gathering data from the five following sources. Each data point is valued the same as the day before in order to visualize a meaningful progress in sentiment change of the crypto market.

First of all, the current index is for bitcoin only (we offer separate indices for large alt coins soon), because a big part of it is the volatility of the coin price.

But let’s list all the different factors we’re including in the current index:

Volatility (25 %)
We’re measuring the current volatility and max. drawdowns of bitcoin and compare it with the corresponding average values of the last 30 days and 90 days. We argue that an unusual rise in volatility is a sign of a fearful market.

Market Momentum/Volume (25%)
Also, we’re measuring the current volume and market momentum (again in comparison with the last 30/90 day average values) and put those two values together. Generally, when we see high buying volumes in a positive market on a daily basis, we conclude that the market acts overly greedy / too bullish.

Social Media (15%)
While our reddit sentiment analysis is still not in the live index (we’re still experimenting some market-related key words in the text processing algorithm), our twitter analysis is running. There, we gather and count posts on various hashtags for each coin (publicly, we show only those for Bitcoin) and check how fast and how many interactions they receive in certain time frames). A unusual high interaction rate results in a grown public interest in the coin and in our eyes, corresponds to a greedy market behaviour.

Surveys (15%)
Together with strawpoll.com (disclaimer: we own this site, too), quite a large public polling platform, we’re conducting weekly crypto polls and ask people how they see the market. Usually, we’re seeing 2,000 - 3,000 votes on each poll, so we do get a picture of the sentiment of a group of crypto investors. We don’t give those results too much attention, but it was quite useful in the beginning of our studies. You can see some recent results here.

Dominance (10%)
The dominance of a coin resembles the market cap share of the whole crypto market. Especially for Bitcoin, we think that a rise in Bitcoin dominance is caused by a fear of (and thus a reduction of) too speculative alt-coin investments, since Bitcoin is becoming more and more the safe haven of crypto. On the other side, when Bitcoin dominance shrinks, people are getting more greedy by investing in more risky alt-coins, dreaming of their chance in next big bull run. Anyhow, analyzing the dominance for a coin other than Bitcoin, you could argue the other way round, since more interest in an alt-coin may conclude a bullish/greedy behaviour for that specific coin.

Trends (10%)
We pull Google Trends data for various Bitcoin related search queries and crunch those numbers, especially the change of search volumes as well as recommended other currently popular searches. For example, if you check Google Trends for "Bitcoin", you can’t get much information from the search volume. But currently, you can see that there is currently a +1,550% rise of the query „bitcoin price manipulation“ in the box of related search queries (as of 05/29/2018). This is clearly a sign of fear in the market, and we use that for our index.

Actually, its pronounced Agama not Adama...
Actually, its typed/spelled/written 'Agama', not "pronounced Agama". The written form of how it's pronounced would be əˈɡāmə or ˈaɡəmə.  Grin

<...>
I hope the price keeps dropping LOL

You realize of course that many people on this thread hold stacks of BTC right?
I point it out, because hoping that BTC will reach $1000 by the 14th - so that you can buy some, well..

Of course you are allowed to be all the bear/bull you want, but I find your thesis some what insulting.
We all want to buy cheap BTC, but you are taking it to another level.
Almost r0aching. Sorry. Had to get it off my head.

Give this guy some merits already so he could wear the hat, he has well deserved it Smiley

I really don't give a shit anymore JJG, I've said this before it's too fucking much. Quit posting annoying paragraphs for every fucking reply, no one gives a shit about your opinion, you're the long winded dude at the party no one ever ask a question to twice.

You're just as fucking bad as R0ach when it comes to having to read post. A short and sweet I'm a fucking racist post or your a three paragraph I'm a fucking psuedo intellectual who thinks he's better than everyone. Every fucking post is the same.

Don't be such a diptwat.  You are the one who made the dumb comment that invited my response.  Hello?  You start something, but you cry about follow through?

I agree with kingcolex. And do you remember JJG you started calling me names and stuff when I predicted bitcoin was going to 3k? Had a whole JJG lengthed post about that.

Do you mean the fine money going to the government and thus to the people? Or what? I do not get your point here.

Look how you shill BCH and don't get others points about it, some cognitive dissonance in there?
252  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 05, 2019, 06:52:07 PM
Shouldn't the whole Quadriga scandal be bullish?
If keys are lost forever, it means 26k BTC are gone.
Less supply = higher price right?

But the coins are probably not lost, but stolen.
253  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 05, 2019, 06:14:28 PM
Now that I did a small research I think most people could be diagnosed with it Smiley

jbear even more so (BCH weeeeee).
254  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 05, 2019, 06:03:12 PM
No, that's why I set everything aside as an injunction first.

I just saw the beauty in it. no offence.

May still need the doctor as I'm just mad so that cant get you off the hook

l

So if a person tries to explain their views/statements, they automatically have cognitive dissonance? I doubt it works that way but if it does, I then might have it. Doesn't change my story Cheesy
255  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 05, 2019, 05:47:05 PM
Doesn't seem to be a cognitive dissonance where I see it.

Leaving everything including the question completely aside.

That is just a beautiful quote regarding cognitive dissonance.

heh

Hmm, I didn't see a question, just a statement. Maybe I lack the language skills to understand it? English is my third language after all.

Or then I just got diagnosed in an internet forum, should I seek medical help now?
256  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 05, 2019, 04:02:20 PM
And if you have any trouble with the police a fairly small amount of THB will help you out.

...

I've never been ripped of or scammed over there

Looks like some cognitive dissonance there.

Well, this one time I had to go to 7-11 after I had a few beers, took a small scooter and drove slowly. Drove straight into a police checkpoint and had to take a breathalyser test which came out positive. Some bahts helped me out there, instead of going to the station, getting filed and a much bigger fine + a mark in the register. Things like this. Doesn't seem to be a cognitive dissonance where I see it.

It's much easier for a tourist to pay it off than being a local.

I don't see this as being scammed or ripped off.
257  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 05, 2019, 03:38:37 PM
Some of them have dicks.

There is something deeply wrong with a culture that thinks trannies are normal.

That's one of the reasons I always avoid a vacation in Thailand. I don't like to see trannies everywhere especially when I am trying to empty my head. I don't hate them I just don't wanna to see them I guess I have that right don't I. I mean I can look somewhere else right? And if they are everywhere then its my right to not go there.

I never understood what is so fun about about Thailand neither. Maybe because it is cheap as fuck to have sex with little kids. Disgusting.

I've been to Thailand 2x times, been there with or without a girlfriend, never really cared about the sex industry (yes, I have experienced it whilst single in my first couple of trips, but it's more like, meh). If you want a prostitute, go to Germany or Amsterdam. The trannies thing is overrated, there are many, yes, but most of them stay in the sex tourism areas, where I normally keep out of, I do go there sometimes for shock-tourism, when a friend visits me with family for example and they haven't seen much of the world. If you keep away from the sex tourism areas (Pattaya; some areas in Bangkok; Patong, Kata, Kamala in Phuket) you will have no trouble. There are some girlybars elsewhere too obviously but nothing stands out and won't disturb you.

I normally go there to let some steam out and by that I mean riding a motorcycle. Thailand (by my opinion) is one of the best places in the world to do so. You have good roads and as much as I don't want to admit this, you can speed as much as you want, never seen or heard anyone getting a speeding ticket over there. I know it's dangerous and wrong but what can you do, I guess I'm an adrenaline junkie. You can rent really good bikes for cheap and drive them around the country. And if you have any trouble with the police a fairly small amount of THB will help you out.

The nature is unbelievably beautiful at some spots and the cuisine was already mentioned here, really diverse and there's something for everyone (I guess). And Thai people are generally good, again, this applies to places away from tourist spots, I've never been ripped of or scammed over there, which has happened more than once in Europe (by Europeans).

Can someone give a TOP 10 or 20
Of troll ranked from 10 or 20 all the way up to NR1 TROLL
I’m curious how that list would look like by diffrent guy’s  Or TOP 5 ....

1. kwukduck
2. NotLambchop
3. r0ach
4. proudhon
5. gembitz (this is arguable, but the "weee" and constant yelling (using caps lock) got him there)

butterman...........? = one of the most stupid as well I think, kwukduck I even don't know to well Roll Eyes

rebal15 Roll Eyes

Butterfuck Cartman is still a newbie and I think he isn't around so much, same with rebal, more like a semi-troll.

Kwukduck was the worst one imo, the whole WO thread was full of his doomsday predictions in 2014-2015 and he spammed a lot, 10 times more than cartman and rebal.

I've been interested in PR for the same reasons.

I think Argentina might now have a higher ratio of white people vs taco people, mestizos, black people, etc than the US does.  Their black population is only 9%.  They even have clean public transportation that's not littered with graffiti and level 5 chimpouts 24 hours a day:

I was actually just looking at the statistics yesterday.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_Latin_Americans

Also according to Wikipedia:

Quote
[the]total White population (including White Hispanics and Latinos) being 76.9%

I started researching Uruguay in some more depth. It's temperate, prosperous, and extremely safe. It makes the short list of possible countries to move. Unlike the economically unstable Argentina, Uruguay was able to weather "The Great Recession", while actually achieving some economic growth.

I was actually doing the same this morning (before I read your post), researching Uruguay´s visa options etc. They have the worlds poorest president, who gives 90% of his income to charity and drives a Volkswagen beetle.

Visa options for me are quite straightforward and easy to obtain, all in all the country seems to be a great place to live in, even weed is legalised. Might have a trip there soon to check everything out.
