To those who seem stuck, have you gotten the rest of the chain yet?
Have you tried restarting the wallet?
Sometimes it just hangs for a little bit and catches up eventually. But if it's been hours I'd try restarting the wallet / maybe your pc. If that doesn't work maybe try backing up your wallet.dat and deleting everything else in the swing folder in roaming then starting it back up to redownload from the start.
Tried restarting wallet, then rebooting the machine still stuck at block 3013 a couple hours later. I will try installing the wallet and restoring it later today. Let me know how it goes. I can't think of many reasons this would happen. So i installed the swing wallet using my wallet.dat as a different user on the same box. This time i got stuck at block 3004, but i was able to transfer my coins to yobit. With my coins safe at yobit i removed the old original wallet and compiled a fresh wallet with a new wallet.dat file hoping this would resolve my issues, but once again it got stuck on block 3004. very strange... I just checked the seed node to make sure everything was ok there and it's up to date at 6070. Yobit is also at 6070 as well as my personal wallets. Maybe try giving it one more fresh install and let it sit a little longer this time. I can get get you my peers file if you think that would help too. I've got 14 connections right now. |

Sup Dev, and fellow Swingers  I've noticed something off with the wallet: I've made two deposits today, from exchange to wallet. The transaction itself works flawlessly (and FAST!), but the notification bubble doesn't pop up on the taskbar (which says incoming transaction) for HOURS! I know it isn't that big of a deal, nothing risky, but shouldn't I get a notification approximately the same time it actually deposits into my wallet? I keep thinking there are extra deposits incoming Cheers! I was not able to replicate this issue. Is anyone else having this problem? I've noticed that sometimes when I stake a block the notification bubble doesn't get dismissed, so if I glance over at it later it's still there and I briefly think I may have gotten a payment. Is that what you are experiencing or delayed notifications? That's the closest I've been able to come to replicating the issue you described. I don't think it's a dismissal error, but then again I've always closed the bubble manually. Although the two times I did have incoming deposits, I can say with 100% certainty that it was a delayed notification. I'd replicate it again if I could, just to see if it's my client in particular bugging out...but I got no SWING to bring in lol that and my stake time has been on '3 hours remaining' for....two hours now! I'll let you know if I hit a block... Alright  Keep in mind that time is just a guestimate. If net weight or POS difficulty went up that would explain your estimate not going down. Just let it sit you should break blocks eventually. |

Chatting with a developer frind atm to see if that chart is even possible.
Trying to figure out how to estimate the miners cost per coin.
I.E if a miner broke a block right now, how much would 1 Swing be worth to them?
generally you'd just see how much you spent and how many coins you got and do the math. But to estimate that?
Nicehash has an API that we could probably use to get an estimated cost of mining, but then what?
suchpool doesn't seem to have an api either but we can pull the difficulty and expected reward from the wallet.
Disclamer* Not saying we will get this custom chart for sure, just looking into it still.

Lots of swaps today.
11,607.23706777 out of 160,000 Swing remains. (7%)
Please keep in mind that means only 116,072 GE can be converted to swing.
After that point any additional GE created through mining or staking cannot be converted!
If extra is sent before I am able to close the swap form I will do my best to get in contact VIA the supplied email to return any un-swapable GE before destroying the private keys to the burn addy.

I wish I could afford more...only 90 SWING  I fear this could be the end of my glorious ride across the swap-lands of greed ;_; There's nothing wrong with holding 90 SWING when the supply is so small. If you can manage to stake a few blocks at the right times you could generate plenty more too. |

Dev: Fonzerelllie was referencing people's dissatisfaction with the coin swap IGotSpots did.
Spots swapped 4 coins into 1 and, 1 of the coins had just been sold to holders at $1 per coin
less than a month before the announced swap.
The 4 coins included 1 that were practically worthless. The $1 coins were cut from $ per
coin to $.12 per coin including staking prior to swap and the fact that they gained 6 to 1 for
their portion of the swap. Can't understand why people who just bought at $1 (like me),
got upset when forced into a swap before the $1 coin even hit an exchange and, in
such a short time frame. Apparently, Spots sold the coin and then, woke up one morning and
decided to force swap it in with other coins (preplanned? Who knows).
It's old news but, you were unaware of the reference. Hopefully, it does not bring a shitstorm to your
thread. My apologies if it does. Spots has enthusiastic supporters and detracters.
There is a huge difference in your personal style and swaps. You treat all with courtesy. All questions
are answered politely and without attack even from a clueless newbies (like me). Your swaps are for
the development and progress of the coin. You develop a market with an exchange long before a swap
so people can get out or continue on their choice.

Very small inputs may take longer than expected to gain their initial weight. Most are getting initial weight very quickly. Been over 12 hours since I received the first coins, but still saying I don't have mature coins...  That is strange, got mine ~3hours ago and they started to gain weight right after.. Did you unlock your wallet? You may have that issues if you have an extremely small amount of coins too.
I reinstalled and just now it started staking, but the small amount of coins probably was the reason. Good to hear Also there are no plans for Swing to swap it's not designed as a 1-2 month staking game like Greed and GE was, and I'm not sure who spots is so.. |

I don't think so, this is just like Greed Evolved, right? No ICO there unless I missed something...all about swapping, correct? I have one question: Is staking up? Or does POS start another time? Not an ICO, just upgrading the GE holders to the new chain. Nobody wants to be a bagholder. Staking started at block 1, you can start cracking blocks whenever you want. i try to compile the mac o linux wallet ! same error : qmake

I wonder if more developments are in the planning, since it kind of sounds that Swing is an experiment too, although a more complex one.
Basically the plan from here on out is just to watch the impact of the swing supply, try to get on as many exchanges as possible, grow the community and spread the word about swing. Swing is meant to last unlike Greed and GE that were designed to live for about a month and get replaced. That being said, as the community grows and developers get interested I wouldn't be surprised at all if holders start coming together to progress swing in their own ways in the spirit of open source development. That involves zero work. But +1 for honesty. I'll watch closely. And that's the point actually. Your coins are not valued on my work ethic. In how many other coins can you say the same?
