Hey i noticed the wallet 1.2 is only available for windows, can you guys publish the source for the 1.2 on github so we can compile our own wallet binaries (Specially for linux)?

Interesting observation, such news was not mentioned in the newsletter, I guess more surprises for us to consume. If so this will be a first for a TOR coin I believe as you mentioned. If we will really be able to store small files in the blockchain, then this will become one hell of a feature. I hope it's true  No any file storage on blockchain is expensive as hell as you take space from the blockchain itself. Its not feasible Yeah thats why i asked earlier if it was using a IPFS client in the deepvault to store the files, like many others coins are already doing. I guess that the first document that will be signed will be the wallet with the deepvault feature right? Its a good way to validate if the wallet you have is the official one |

By using the blockchain, you are sure that the hash is the one you generated at the 1st time.
Otherwise, the hash you stored could have been altered.. I think this is the point.
Yes storing the hash in the blockchain prevents the hash from being altered and timestamp it as well. So that way you can prove that the document was signed at a specific point in time, i believe factom does this as well, but not over TOR thou. |

DeepVault DeepVault is a blockchain innovation brought to you by the DeepOnion Development team. DeepVault allows users to determine whether or not a file has been changed or corrupted by enabling hash verification of the file.  Non-technical users:A hash is a random string of characters of fixed length (for example: hello = 2cf24dba5fb0a30e26e83b2ac5b9e29e1b161e5c1fa7425e73043362938b9824, hello1 = 91e9240f415223982edc345532630710e94a7f52cd5f48f5ee1afc555078f0ab). A hash is unique as no two inputs (files or texts) generate the same hash. For instance, hello and hello1 will have completely different hash values as witnessed in the previous example. One use for hashing is the ability to generate the hash of a file. What this means is that the current version of the file is hashed at that moment in time. As previously mentioned, even changing 1 character in the file will generate a completely different hash. This is obviously very useful if you have an important file (such as a legal contract) that you wish to verify its integrity. Upon signing a contract, you could generate its hash using the wallet and store it in the blockchain. You could then check in a few months time that the hash generated earlier matches the current hash of the file. If they match, it means that the file has not been altered and thus the contract is still valid. If they do not match, it means that the file has been altered (if this is a legal document, you need to make sure that someone has not maliciously tampered with it). The benefit of utilising the blockchain is that it is immutable (cannot be changed). That means that when you store the hash, it is available forever and can never be changed. Technical Users:The hash is generated using SHA-256, a current hashing function with no known collisions. The function can also incorporate the user's wallet to provide restriction as to the hash value (a form of cryptographic security). Important:DeepVault is not a file store, it is a hash store. You seems fine, your airdrop addy still have about 120% so you're way above the 90%. You just need to be over 90% when they run their check But if they see the explorer it seems that I received more and spend more although it is not true. Only happened that my funds were mixed. I know, it was my mistake, because I just put my "custom address" and did not check the entry.
You could get blacklisted this week due to this error. There is a lot of information regarding coincontrol including videos. Do your research(DO forum) people and your onions will be safe and secure.
The funny is, i MADE a TUTORIAL about this and made this mistake too...  Maybe im wrong, but someone could move all their balance, go to 0, then 5 hours later put it back and i don't think that would matter, unless your addy was checked between the 2. Any mod to confirm this? Can someone make a mistake and repair it afterward and will it still count? |

Great, that DeepTrust was renamed DeepVault. This is more intuitive.
However, I am not entirely sure, how this works. As far as I understood, you can store your data or files in the blockchain. Is there any other coin with this kind of feature or is it a unique feature of DeepOnion?
What about the integrity of data? If it is stored in the blockchain, it will remain in the blockchain forever. So as long as you have a code or hash, you can acces the files forever? Do you have any examples, what kind of files we should consider for this feature?

To what ive understand you're not storing the FILE ITSELF on the blockchain but only a hash of it, so that way you can check if your file has been altered and it also proves that you were the original owner of the file (since it was signed with your private key). But the file itself, no it's not stored on the blockchain, that would required too much space. Some coins are storing files thru IPFS which is a P2P protocol for file handling. But i haven't heard of this kind of feature in this project yet. But who knows, it's not out yet... |

Well you need to set your signature based on your bitcointalk rank. Pick the right signature, make sure you replace the XXXXX in the signature with your profile id ( in your case its 1163545 ).And set your bitcointalk signature. But your account cant currently join since it was created after sept. 1. I would recommand to do all the required steps, contribute for a few weeks and they might change the rules later on. Hope you can get in some day! |

Good morning, last night I dream that deeponion reached 100 $ after entering several exchange houses, this is possible !!!
Already had that dream since the first airdrop i got accepted in. It will be a reality, Dumpers will get away and only true supporters will remain here, we'll get the price increasingp everyday. Until we got in that level. Yeah i believe we wont get very high until next june, we need to wait for airdrop to be over so the "free coiners" drop theirs. The airdrop will end in april 2018 so give it a couple of month for the weak hands to leave and this should do the trick. If the price was to rise to fast before the end of the airdrop it would cause alot of problems, people would dump and alot of people would try to get in the airdrop for the wrong reasons, its already like this so just think what would happen if prie was 10x what it is right now. Be patient... Not all is money you know! |

You can check the requirements on official forum. https://deeponion.org/community/Just for your information, you can check by youself. What exactly is considered "burst posting"? I only come on the forums maybe 1-2x a day myself.. so i tend to check all of my watched threads and browse for more and post a handful of times within a certain span, a couple times a day at most. I have been accepted and all is good.. I just dont want to do anything that could possibly get me looked at wrongly.. You're burst posting if you post all your messages in a short period of time. Like 10 messages in the same hour. Try to come once or twice per day every day or once in a while. |

If you got blacklisted because you made a mistake you gonna need to reapply to their support thread when they will re-open it. Make sure to keep your eye open, it will be on the community forum ( https://deeponion.org/community/), try to be quick since they usualy open a certain amount of slots and many people are looking for one. Also if you get in there, please read carefuly the instructions they will give. Don't PM the mods unless they ask for it. And most of all, be patient, continue to contribute and help others. If you dont make it in time for the next drop just continue to contribute and you'll be invited back in it! Hope this helps you out! |

Hey Guys, I did not receive my airdrop for this week can someone let me know why? I did everything I was supposed to do Thanks They stated that the airdrop is postponed, because the airdop maintainer had an urgent issue. The website seems offline too, maybe they are upgrading their forum too I spoke with him this AM - he is feeling much better. He also had major ISP issues yesterday, which didn't help. The site being down at the moment is due to a maintenance upgrade to the site, and is of no concern. So the airdrop should starts soon too? Dunno if I should go to sleep or should I wait that sweet noise that wallet makes when you drop some fresh coins in it Delayed 24-48hrs. I wouldn't wait up, but that's just me. Yeah no point to wait for an airdrop, even if you received it it won't change anything, the coin will simply stand in your wallet. Im betting that forum upgrade is the escrow services, but who knows! |
