I am not really worried but actually annoyed ...
The 5000 USD was within reach and now we are going slowly down and even crashed through the 4000 USD mark I didn't think would happen.
Every time we slowly move up again apparently some whale dumps because we then get one big red candle. This is going on for weeks now.
That is price correction works, and we need price correction which will define Bitcoin lowest point for the time period, We can't just look for ATH we need Slopes so Bitcoin can come in a closing median price with low mark and ATH mark. I do believe Bitcoin is Never going to Touch $3500 again rest is up to all of us. For me $3500 is confirmed. |

Of course you have to pay taxes on your profits in cryptocurrencies. This is well established.
Whether you have to pay taxes on exchanges of one cryptocurrency for another depends on whether such transactions can be claimed as "like kind" transactions. Whether "like kind" applies to exchanges between cryptocurrencies is controversial. I think that the IRS will eventually rule that these transactions are _not_ like kind and I've read extensively on the issue. Others disagree.
If you choose to treat exchanges between cryptocurrencies as like kind transactions you have to declare them as such on IRS form 8824! Absolutely everyone who trades cryptocurrencies ignores this (except me, of course).
If the IRS rules that these transactions are not like kind, and you have filed form 8824, you are likely to be OK except that you will owe taxes, interest, and possibly penalties. If you haven't filed form 8824 I wouldn't want to be you.
Not a lawyer - just my well researched opinion.
You are rite about we need to pay tax but IRS Form 8824 that is not compulsorily we can report taxes and we need to report taxes, IRS recognize Bitcoin and crypto currencies as property so which will come on Capital Gain and loss which occurs in each and every transaction so if we trade that with any other alt coin and we make some btc than profit btc should converted in USD for that day and calculated tax to report. Each and every transaction profit and loss record should be kept if IRS finds some error they might need that For me that didn't happen yetVery simple Understanding is If you buy your car in 1200 and sell in 1900 you have to pay Tax for 700 because it is more than 600$, You have to pay each and every capital gain which exceed $600 in a fiscal year. |

Op stated this topic last few years ago or in the year of 2013 and for sure if they bought bitcoin at 2013 and hold it until today they can earn a lot of profit because the price of bitcoin is very high compared to the previous price last few years. For me I dont think bitcoin price will reach 50k dollars even you wait more years because for me the highest price of butcoin is around 20k dollars or maybe 30 k dollars.

It is not impossible for bitcoin to reach 50k. But it requires much time and more demands. As a matter of fact, the demand is always growing, thus bitcoin always rises. I have a target of 10K usd per bitcoin. If it reaches within 3-5 years, I will be happy to sell of majority of my holdings and pay off my mortgage and buy an expensive car. First Of all Your question is Incomplete, But as i was trying to understand according to me and at my current location (USA) we need to pay taxes in the net profit. so if you will sell your altcoin for 1 Btc which you actually bought 3 months ago in 3000$ so you have to keep records of 1 btc total today's value so your net profit is 1848.3 same way to each and every altcoins and most important you have to keep record everyday and you can report bitcoin price for that day, or week

We can keep our coin safe in Windows also (My Own View) I use windows and I have all my wallet in windows in this 7-8 years period I dont have any problem. But i do still suggest keep in your Mobile, Laptop or Exchange what you can loose if you cant loose then either Keep Hardware or Paper Wallet.

Quick answer to this is because bitcoin transactions can't be monitored or controlled by government authorities and they can't stop money laundering with bitcoin.
But there are lots of other hidden agenda governments/big banks have which can be affected by introduction of bitcoin. Many countries have legalized the use of bitcoin but it is still not accepted as official currency like other fiat.
Quick Answer government can track Bitcoin Transaction I don't know about anywhere else but we do, If IRS suspect any fraudulent transaction and suspicious money laundering type of transaction IRS can track that which is already started, Its not easy but its not hard to find who is actual owner. |

According to the chainz explorer bittrex is one of the top stakers of this coin. of course All other exchange has very low trade and most traders are holding there SNRG in Bittrex, there are very few to hold this coin in wallet, As i did for few months but not any more Snrg is a game changer in this few Pump and Dump i was able to take out some 5 Btc so why to keep my coins in wallet and stake for for few 100s Snrg |

I sold few in 0.008 and again bought @ 0.004 just to recover my amount of SNRG am still waiting for 0.002 that will be the day for me, Will be 34 BTC that day only from SNRG. Yes right, the 50k price is too high and it seems hard to happen, I'm sure before reaching the 50k price, bitcoin is dead and abandoned user. But I'm sure the bitcoin price can reach 10k. Maybe the price is too high for bitcoin to reach it. However, bitcoin price has proven to be very unpredictable and perhaps there is a chance that bitcoin can reach this price. Even other market analyst are saying more than $50K can be attained. I don't think that bitcoin will be dead if we ever touch this price. Getting bitcoin is very hard so its possible that we can reach this price in the future. This is true, predictions of 50k not only comes from newbie members on the forum it comes from some respected analyst so we must think that even if it is not likely bitcoin is going to reach that price any time soon, that price is a possibility in the long term for bitcoin and that is why we need to hold as much as possible. yes, but this price is impossible for now, its not easy to reach that price, many months or years before it reaches $50,000. maybe 5 or 10 years from now. since its demand is increasing there is no doubt about it, but again, it takes time. It is crystal clear that bitcoins or even any other currency can’t touch 50k dollars in a year or two. At least a decade is required for bitcoins to reach this value. The good thing is that we all are sure that it is not impossible at least for bitcoins to reach this target. We just need to be patient and loyal to bitcoins; so they can reach this value. As in this post there is no any prediction about when it will be 50K, and I am not saying today or tomorrow It will take a lot of time, As the progress till today we are at 4k+ and not to forget we did this travel from $14 to 4K in less than a decade which was such hard and now on travel is not easy but lot less hardness then it use to be in 2009 to 2015. I've been analyzing all this happening with bitcoin and I'm coming to the following conclusion:
Before the most important asset was the gold in which everyone wanted and possessed, the governments were displacing gold with money a centralized asset which lost its value day by day.
Bitcoin is an asset that goes up in price for all the features that Satoshi thought and gave to it.
Today there are hundreds of altcoins and for sure there are some that are much better than bitcoin, and that these will be more used than bitcoin in the future, but bitcoin will be the king of all the new digital gold. People will use other altcoins as well, but the savings and investments will be in bitcoin, and this is for the simple reason that it was the first altcoin, and that people believed in it from its beginnings.
The bitcoin is here to stay and has created a revolution in the monetary system around the world. And we can be proud to be living the moment when this is happening.
Bitcoin is heading to $4,000 usd per coin and I am sure that the price of bitcoin in 3 years will be exponentially higher than is today.

Please, Alt coin is useful and used a lot but it alt coin will never surpass Bitcoin because Bitcoin is always there for alt coin to be in the movement so whoever creates there value cant be used less than who has value because of Bitcoin. My Point of View Bitcoin id Bitcoin and Gold is Gold, They are not comparable to each other I Believe you are not going to make a set of Jewelry of Bitcoin and wear it Gold is asset, used to make Jewelry, Cannot be send from one wallet to other wallet as a form of payment or transfer to anywhere in the world as easy as Bitcoin. So I think everything. Just what will you do if bitcoin starts with the same speed or even faster to fall down? You must understand what ever the price may increase and someday it will happen.
