I think that ninja nonsense was just something people told themselves to justify the lack of communicating and marketing. Someone said it and it has been repeated a bunch of times since then. Really disappointing how the foundation is handling things. There was an announcement months ago about Lon leaving and a new marketing team being put in place and a big marketing push.. but nothing has really happened other than a few shill articles on obscure crypto websites.
We need something that will truly move the needle or we're totally fucked. In reading interviews with the devs and others associated with the coin, I honestly believe them when they say they don't care about price.. and that much is obvious. Makes no sense to me. We're gonna lose so much marketcap and one more big slide and this coin will be out of the top 20.. and it's coming. Vechain is slowly creeping up while we fall.
Very frustrated with how things are being managed. This coin should be showing everyone else the way, instead they seem content to eat the crumbs left by the real big dogs.
Any constructive criticism for the foundation / marketing team? It's not like they're not doing anything. They just spent A LOT of money on the consensus pavilion, for instance. Granted, the success of that is somewhat debatable. Development of catapult is ongoing, but slooooow. Wouldn't a HUGE marketing push now be a bit counterproductive? Do you really think a public roadmap would make any difference? Imo, it seems like there's still a general awareness problem. I don't think there are any constructive ideas to wait for. Mostly the people only claim to be interested, but all they are interested in is the price. There were no Fudder at 1$. The only thing the complained is that they haven't bought earlier. It would be wrong not to be present at Consensus or the other major events, but itīs true that the actual impact is hard to catch. I have actually no problem with catapult taking its time and the marketing would solely make everyone more impatient. But it sure would help most people to have some milestones or dates to look for. I can understand the demand of a roadmap because it is easier to wait for something defined. |

I don't think they allowed to talk about application status, else the exchange will reject them. All exchanges right now are very strict with their rules about listing. Involving the disclosures the coins have to sign in the process of applying. They won't have any updates regarding the listing. They even might not receive updates from binance too. They will announce the listing as soon as everything fits, so its the best to just be patient |

This is why I sold everything beginning of May and am damn glad that I did. No one cares about this project, period. What will happen is EOS will implement some inferior technology which everyone will herald as the best thing ever and everyone will use it. NEM straight up fucked themselves with their invisible approach. They're done. If you have no community, hype or marketing it is over. Companies will be reluctant to even pick it up simply because "no one else is using it." Very, very sad but possibly true. The whole $2 run up was a giant fluke that all started with that stupid chinese chat app rumor and was piled on by a hyperactive market we will not see again for a long time. Nothing to go by and had nothing to do with tech or awareness. I truly believe in this coin and honestly think it's one of the best out there. But I don't think the vast majority agree with that statement. Nobody seems to give a shit about it, and that concerns me.
I used to think that catapult would "catapult" nem onto the main stage and in the spotlight. But I wonder if catapult mainnet will even move the needle. With the way things are going I think not. If a superior solution exists and nobody cares about it, is it really superior?
I understand the whole market is down and that plays a factor, but a bigger problem is the coin itself and lack of marketing and awareness. Although on the plus side, Last time we had a big lull like this we came storming out of nowhere to reach $2.

I'm absolutely agree with you. NEM team have lost big piece of crypto pie, there are a lot of real ERC tokens in market and no mosaics. Only 3 devs are developing catapult, omg, how long will it take? 3 years, 5 years, 10 years? Every feed-news startup has more then 10 devs in team and develop their project during 1 year, so catapult will be finished in 10 years. I also sold all my XEM and I'm going to buy ETH, ETH is not perfect, but ETH much more better then NEM ! First of all, how do you define real ERC token? As long as they are running on ETH as Token, there is nothing special. The only real project about them is REP to be honest. There are a lot more ERC20 token just because ETH alone is such a strong Buzzword to attract new user. ETH is far off being the holy grail. Everyone got the projects he likes and itīs good that you switched to ETH. But please keep in mind that many in here don't share your opinion. Catapult will be released in the moment its finished. Yes a lot of P&D people don't like that because there is no real chance of accumulating before a big pump. But that was never the Plan of the NEM Team. I know itīs frustrating sitting on a loss of investment but that's just because you are not patient enough. What level of return do you expect from ETH? It might break the ATH and even make 4x ($wise), that is something which is surely achieved in the future by NEM too. In a bull market, itīs bad luck to chose the ones not pumping and leading to nearly same returns. No wizard skills needed in those markets You're a saint man. I hope someday the market recognizes and rewards quality over BS. It just doesn't seem we are any where near it unfortunately. I don't even hold XEM right now and I'm concerned because it is a bellwether for the whole space. The campaign has been EXTENDED BY 2 WEEKS! (due to ICO being extended by 2 weeks as well) Dev's have confirmed that there will be a budget increase, that will be proportional, I'll get final number in USD/MTV tomorrow.
Since the increase in the budget might not be 50% of the 1 MIL tokens, I have closed all campaigns for new participants. So, worst case scenario, you'll have to do 2 more weeks of work to support MTV for the last week's of the ICO.

How will distribution be done? Will people who don't have MTV accounts/KYC get tokens?
I will be assigning stakes via how many people where accepted, it won't matter if they completed KYC or not, they'll just need to have an account to recieve the tokens (you need KYC to withdraw, you will still be able to see the tokens in your account dashboard, but you wont be able to withdraw them unless you complete KYC).

There is none. You need an account to receive tokens but KYC to withdraw. Just make an account so I can send you your tokens.

Whre did you read that Elastic will have masternodes? I don't really think that you can label XEL as a security, it's an utility asset/coin/token whatever you wanna call it, used to buy computational power On a sidenote, this new 51% attack meme I'm sure as hell that will lead to a new wave of shitcoins with the sentence "51% attack resistant" in it, mark my words  I think they mean main net not mssternode :p That would be a first for me to read about masternodes. There is some reward system by the usage of forging. Maybe they really meant main net in the original post. I can only advise everyone to watch the vimeo video posted above about the usage of the project. That is really great and gives a first look and feel for the capabilities of the project |

i cant see the added value above what NEM itself delivers
but i see many aspects where it delivers less then NEM by not use the newest catapult technology
So, spentak mentioned this above, but we originally considered launching a Catapult network and then launching Cache on it, but we didn't because Catapult doesn't support transaction fees yet and there is also no governance/staking at the moment. If we used Catapult we would have had to make sure we ourselves had a stable network and somehow convince users to host nodes - all without harvesting and incentives. Token purchasers wouldn't have felt comfortable buying tokens on Catapult yet. We are coding every day on Blockstart (which is using Catapult) and working also on nem2-sdk. Interesting approach of the project. I like the idea of opening up the Catapult blockchain to a lot of developer of develops. But itīs actually quite hard to see the full idea behind the project especially in regards of the usage of the NEM Blockchain. The built functions are open source but working on a separate blockchain and not as a layer on NEM right? And what will happen with the unsold tokens in the token sale, since its not planned to burn them right? |

I really like the video too. Very well done and a good recap of consensus. $EOS 4 Billion dollar ICO was the biggest scam in the history of crypto. You do not need $4 Billion to develop software, Bitcoin is proof of that. Satoshi had no ICO and did not need or want to raise money for Bitcoin because he actually wanted to change the world. My advice buy as much more XEM as you can
EOS is such a unique case of hype and sometimes exactly the wrong thing what is happening in crypto. I don't really know how to think about that project and it really sheds some bad light on the good projects in the space too. But the good thing is that its quite short lived too and will have to prove that they are actually worth what they are promising |

I dont know how BDG tokens will be acquired to swap with fiat. In the short term students will have to acquire tokens on their own. However in time as BDG platform is fully implemented that feature should also be implemented. Hopefully we get on good exchanges sooner where we get plenty of liquidity.
What i learned in Telegram from the admins, is that students/users pay with fiat and the platform converts it to BDG. I think they gonna buy it up from exchanges automatically with a api or something. That's definitely the best and easiest way to go if it works like that. The payment process needs to be smooth and nobody wants to be bothered with several payment steps. I guess they will just act as a broker in that case. They rely on different exchanges but integrate the simplified buying process. That is quite a good way to handle everything since it might be a easy way to just use credit cards or PayPal etc. It might even be a cool idea in the future to have some sort of voucher codes or something purchasable to make it even faster. Bitdegree will win if they make it easier to learn online than buying a book for example. it has to be intuitive and userfriendly |

Every day I see more and more negative thoughts about NEM in world community and russian comminuty. There are reasons for this. It's not too late to change everything in order to solve all these fails.
I don't know what's in Russian water there but you need to start filtering it. Almost every Russian who voices an opinion about NEM is negative about it. It's impressively consistent. I did hear some related news about that in the telegram channel. Not sure what to think about that. Is there any russian community member willing to share the sentiments and thoughts ? would be interesting to hear since the NEM russian community is quite big and I had the impression they are quite active too. They are building on top of NEM aren't they ? I heard about the partnership and the aim of education. I guess the projects born via Cache are focused on the Catapult too, which could be a good enhancement in the future |

Now that we know how this Bit-Z works, what should be our next step? Of course, we need to list DIM to other exchange but what will be our new prospect exchange? Or, can we just focus on the product itself? You may be right. I don't think they really planned to list DIM any time soon, more like free marketing from the exchange site. Works perfectly for me...  works perfectly for me as well. Keep in mind that it is always goo to have your wallet updated to the latest version and fully synced. What exactly is your problem with the wallet. I don't hear complains regarding this that often, so maybe you would be better off just joining telegram ( which is very active) instead of FUD and claiming its a scam |

How long is kyc approval going to take?
Around 48 hours is the last thing i heard. But i think it might be longer due to long list of people registering for KYC now. The project is gaining more and more interest every day and that might slow it down a bit. I like how the contribution is getting higher fast. When people will learn, they don't give fuck to coin price, exchanges and promo. They already sold their premine at 2400 satoshi per shitcoin and now it's trading at 150 satoshi. How much percentage out of the circulating supply is the premine? I actually came here from a good review of the project I saw on YouTube sometimes back. I have forgotten about the coin but when it spiked 45%+ today in coinmarketcap, I have to come here to check things out with the intention of buying but man I must confess that my morale is down seeing all of these comments here. I just noticed that 96% of the trading volume is only at stocks.exchange - my worst exchange after Etherdelta. . Seems I have to check back when things are little better and whale holders gone. The vast majority of trading volume is at TradeOgre.com. Most of the negative comments are from the same user/troll. The exchange is working very well for me and I did not have any problems till this date. Sure for the investors it could have performed a lot better. Nem is most definitely able to afford it, but they might not see this as a good next step for them. Listings are expensive and they're already on the biggest exchanges in the world (Binance, Bitrex, OKEx, Poloniex), so improving their tech is the obvious choice
I've never heard of this exchange. Why the fuck should the NEM foundation throw money at nobodies? You have not heard about Poloniex exchange, which used to be biggest exchange in crypto ecosystem serveral months ago before losing position to Bittrex, then Binance. Really, ledgendary? I actually never heard of shardax too. For me the exchanges have to operate at least 3-6 months before i even think about creating an account and using them. The risk of getting scammed is just too high and how wants to give every exchange their personal data too? This new team is a joke... Clearly they do not have the Zero's community at their best interest. They cant even respond to some questions i asked in their thread. I even started with some optimism to make them feel better! It's nice to see how things are finally progressing here. But I would like to ask the New team, what new direction do you plan on taking this coin? I know that in the past Demarsac talked about his 'Mach Wave' theory and how it can help with instant transactions. Is that something that the new team will be exploring as well, or is that just a bit too ambitious of a project to explore? What is the new team's objective this time around? What kind of improvement's do you all plan to make and ideas you all plan to explore? We all know that the Crypto world is extremely competitive, so I would imagine that since the new team took over, they must all have some great ideas for this coin.
