241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [TIP] Vanilla coin will be rebranded ! on: March 06, 2016, 11:34:39 AM
I feel sorry for you TPTB.  Sad You are spending the last days of your life on fighting as you called it "flawed currency". So either you were lying that you are terminally ill or you are taking Vanilla coin as a project of great importance. I have never seen you scrambling so much or even posting in a shitcoin-related thread. I don't even have to argue with you, because your behaviour contradicts your words. I'm not going to waste more of the precious time you have left on the earth.

Quote
We are committed to "Decentralised Governance" and have started drafting our "Decentralised Governance" protocol. Active proposals will be paid out via the Node Incentive system in Proof-of-Work blocks. Voting participation will require (incentive) collateral. Some proposals will have no payout, for instance, voting on a technical change to the network.

https://talk.vanillacoin.net/topic/355/thin-client-support/3

Quote
We've started implementing bip-0037.

This will allow for "thin clients" such as Electrum or Breadwallet, etc in a completely decentralised manner using almost no bandwidth or storage. The network will be able to scale to millions of nodes with little effort.

Woow decentralised governance and thin client support are next in line.  Shocked Cool Great development.

It's a balm to my heart when I see that monero holders and developers are sweating and scrambling so much. That's always a good sign.  Cheesy

Vcash is the best coin on the market, lightning fast, scalable and anonymous. I'm spoiled by Vcash tx times and I can't stand waiting hours for bitcoin deposit to get confirmed. Sad Hopefully John deploys apps to google play and app store in the next days. If it was widely accepted in stores... ooooh maan it's way better than Visa/Mastercard.

As I said earlier if you have btcs you can get added immediately(i.e. droidz ico). It's worth sending tweets, maybe some people learn about this coin but I'm encouraging everyone to trade as volume is always the most important factor. Just don't say 25 tweets is enough to get listed because its bs.
245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] • CYGNUS • [CYG] • X11 POW/POS • Consensus Polls • Dynamic Development on: March 05, 2016, 04:06:45 PM
LOL Bittrex is in money making business not in tweet sending business. Cheesy Start trading this coin to create volume or hope someone pays them/has connections there and they will list it.

lol.
do you know how to read?
they "REQUIREMENT" to get list is community demand.
tweet is also their "REQUIREMENT"

>> Thanks for the request. Our policy is to not comment on whether we will launch coins but we only add coins under active development with high community demand.

We gauge demand based off of tweets, hash power, length of bitcointalk thread, volume on other exchanges, etc. Follow us on twitter @bittrexexchange and tweet about how much you like this coin and Bittrex. We respond to creative and insightful posts to help market your favorite coins and Bittrex. I'd also consider coming to our irc channel #bittrex on irc.freenode.net and do some guerrilla marketing. The traders there can help you gain exposure for your coin.

What did you expect their reply would be? This is really funny how naive are people. You can tweet thousand times it still doesn't make any difference for bittrex as they are making money on trading fees.  If they see low vol at yobit they won't add it anyway, unless someone pays them(of course it's not neccessary but it's one way of getting things done).

This is the part of the reply that you should have bolded. Volume is the ultimate gauge of demand and popularity. It's just a matter of common sense but people keep arguing.  Undecided

Whales are accumulating. When they fill their bags we will get added to bittrex and then... You know what's going to happen. Look at DNET it's trading @5x Yobit price.

@cygnus.dev Could you post some of the ideas that you received?

Coin Supply During PoW Phase: 64,800,000
PoW Phase: [0000002-0259200] Approx. 180 DAYS

Am I missing something or there will be >50 million coins mined in the next 5 months?

IMO a month without any development is waaay to long. Week for the submissions of new ideas + few days for voting is more than enough at the beginning. It's a small community.

Don't worry, Yobit isn't going out of business. You'll have enough time to dump.
251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How about Vanilla coin on: February 20, 2016, 01:30:42 PM
No one whose opportunity costs is $200,000 - $500,000 yearly wastes their time on your nonsense tiny bounty in a coin that doesn't have sufficient liquidity to short and in which the mining (i.e. Zerotime network) is controlled by the flock of delusion shrills.

Yet for some reason they keep wasting their precious time...  Cool

He really asked smooth if John is a good coder. This is ridiculous.  Sad

LOL  Cheesy

What's ridiculous about it? G maxwell said in his comments (for exact words look up the thread ...) he sees the work of a general coder not someone with specific talents in the field of decentralized crypto currency? I was merely asking a reasonable person who is know to work in that field for a 2nd opinion.

I have a few VNL i was wondering if I should get a bit more or just put the rest into a different project. I was also asking about initial distribution because I don't like coins where there was a huge instamine or premine.

Question are not allowed?

Are you in a position personally to make in depth evaluation of his design and coding skills? if so you are probably in the minority.

What is ridiculous?
Well, it's like you ask Opel car salesman whether Audi is better car and he says, look I never drove the Audi but I think not.
Regarding G maxwell, he speaks about john-connor as 'general coder', but hey that general coder made ZeroTime while G maxwell even with raised $55 Mil can't explain how should Lightning Network work. So, if he can't explain how the hell he will make it.
If you have VNL and not only have them on exchange you should already know what is all about.
Initial distribution, about that you can hear stories and as far as I know and I mine VNL from almost beginning is that john-connor was always in fight with those who were looking for ways to instamine or rape the coin through mining, but than again after a year on exchanges that question becomes irrelevant.
Questions are welcome.
Everyone is in position to read the code, can one evaluate it is other thing but commenting code while claiming you read none is just BS.

I couldn't have put it better myself. It's a common sense and natural thing that no person can judge a case in which they have an interest. Not every source of information is trustworthy. So far the only objective, independent and trustworthy party which reviewed the code is Poloniex. Besides bitcoin this is the only 1conf coin listed there.  So there is no need for academic discussions - if someone think it's flawed then double spend it or stfu. People can keep talking shit about extra brackets in the code(sic!) but life already verified those bs claims.

There is no point in arguing with those idiots since they have a clear conflict of interest and they'll say anything to harm the reputation of this project.
Up till now Poloniex is the only independent, trustful party which reviewed the code. They gave a positive opinion about it and allowed it to be the only 1conf coin besides bitcoin.

Who do you trust? People who are in danger of losing a lot of money if this project succeds or Poloniex who has nothing to gain(and actually can lose reputation and money by adding flawed cryptocurrency)? (Don't answer, it's a rhetorical question) This should really end this pointless discussion.

It's about to be added since august. Cheesy Unless you are CEO of btc38 you don't know shit. The thing with those exchanges is that they will not add a coin unless there is stable, high volume or you pay them. Truth is that you can send as many requests as you want, it's not going to make a difference.  Sad Maybe after the next updates VNL will gain some momentum and they will add it.

If you're so fucking wise, tell me why they add tagcoin, worldcoin, megacoin or digitalcoin in 2013.

..... I guess you don't know, so I gonna tell you.... trusted developer with real ideas for his coin/project.

I've already said why - high volumes(huge pumps at the end of 2013), or they simply paid them to add the coin... You can have the best, innovative coin, if no one is trading it there is no incentive for an exchange owner to list it(I'm not talking about VNL, it's just a general example) - it's that simple. Why would exchange owner waste time and money to list such a coin? I think you'll agree with that. IMO they will add it after the release of darkpp, it will bring a lot of attention to VNL.

But that was like 3 months ago? Vanilla had >100 BTC trading volumes/day back then. He even said that polo didn't want to add it to margin trading since there is low volume and it doesn't surprise me. Think what you would do as an exchange owner. Why would you add a coin with 3BTC daily vol?

From what I've observed I can tell you that there will be no name changing. It will stay as vanilla or vanilla pay etc. Otherwise why would John buy new domains with the word "vanilla"?

didnt john have it in his timeline that there will be rebranding

He might simply change the logo or name to vanilla or vanilla pay etc. and you can say its rebranding. Despite that he will never agree to change the name to Dark - related to other coins or p&d stuff. However I think this coin needs DRK like pump, but it doesn't depend on a name.
