241  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: January 28, 2014, 05:00:51 PM
My question for the doubters is:

Why has Ken given us shareholders (for no outlay) the added potential of the custom 55nm chip when he had no obligation to do so under the terms of the IPO?

because he had no choice?

Can someone else try because that answer makes no logical sense whatsoever. He had no choice?? Can you elucidate?

Sure.
He has given you nothing.
Neither the 28nm chips he originally promised, nor the 55nm chips he promised more recently.

There are creators and there are wreckers. Wrecking is easy, simply pleasure, that's akin to eating a refined desert... you get the idea Smiley

Well said.

What's being "created" here is your very own killing floor.
A slaughterhouse so attractive to cattle that it needs no chutes - cows moo each other on, pay admission, and finally present their bowed bovine foreheads to the guy working the stunner.

Sorry if I seem unimpressed.

Hiya!

I hope you guys don't have your hearts set on trading any time soon.  Ken didn't promise you that you'll be trading within a week the last time he broke radio silence.
No.
He promised that he'll *START* moving your shares in a week,
Ken is a perfectionist.  Can't rush perfection.  No telling when he'll be finished Cheesy

We are selling Ukyo shares on Crypto-Trade to recover our losses on Bitfunder.

We will start moving Investors shares to Crypto-Trade within the next 7 days.

That silver-tongued devil! Cheesy

It's one person now with a ridiculous number of socks, posting on multiple threads basically being a twat. Seems to think this forum is his own personal play thing.

It's Eduardo from Hashfast. Welcome to bitcointalk.

We appreciate the critical analysis of our business, offer and recommendations.

So let's have another IPO?  The second one worked pretty well?

Do you know what an IPO is for? Raising funds. We don't need to raise anymore funds.

You can't really have a second one anyway it's an initial PO. There really was only one, the 'second' was just a re-write and offer-price of shares was adjusted due to market demand.

I still like the idea of the third IPO, we can use the funds to refund the millions Active Mining got in pre-orders for the 28nm boards that Active Mining won't be delivering.
And then Ken could use the rest of the money for the .005 bid wall?  Why not?
249  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: January 27, 2014, 10:10:14 PM
I thought the .0005 IPO was for VMC, and the AMC IPO was @.0025?  Or were there there 2 AMC IPOs?
Would it be possible to have a third IPO?

Yes, the original IPO (for VMC) was re-written after shareholder demands into an IPO for ACtM. that was to ensure shareholders get a guaranteed 0.0025 BTC per share payout before Ken's shares get any dividends.

VMC is now a wholly owned subsidiary of ACtM. Essentially VMC is the manufacturing side of ACtM and shareholders in ACtM get all of the VMC profits. There are no longer any shares in VMC.

There is no need for a third IPO. Ken has sufficient funds to progress. He has never said we need to raise anymore funds from shareholders and has not asked for any more funds from shareholders.
The second IPO was actually a continuation of the first and was the shareholders idea.

So let's have another IPO?  The second one worked pretty well?
250  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: January 27, 2014, 09:56:18 PM
I think Ken should put up a bid wall at .005 before we go live to prevent panic sells.
Anyone else think it's a good idea?
So basically you want the company to throw away money buying shares back? People panic selling has no impact on the company's ability to move forward. If you really want share buybacks then they could be done 10x cheaper for .0005 which the original IPO was done at.

I thought the .0005 IPO was for VMC, and the AMC IPO was @.0025?  Or were there there 2 AMC IPOs?
Would it be possible to have a third IPO?  Start fresh on the new exchange?
I've been doing some serious brainstorming, I got really cool spreadsheets with formulas and shit if you guys like math...

The blockchain is both our greatest asset and greatest liability if you ever do any transactions in Bitcoin involving anything your government doesn't like. Imagine how happy the feds were when they discovered that we keep a public and easily searchable ledger of every transaction we make. They don't even need to get a secret warrant, it's all laid open to them.

And when the big fish are fried, they can break in teh baby feds by letting them grep our Securities subforum Smiley

So the point here is ACtM are the only mining industry company with uncertainty over the viability of their product...

If you mean to say "not the only," then you're right.  Labcoin is having some issues...
*you guys trading yet?

I'm here to rid my Bitcoin of this fail & aids.

What a stupid thing to say. We're here to talk like adults. If you want to talk like a child, go associate with other children.

What made you think that a post ending with "Okay, noted, thx bye." was written by an adult?  You, though better mannered than most, nevertheless ignore my arguments, choosing to focus instead on irrelevant asides.  Now, for instance, you have commented on my reply to another user, ignoring my reply to you.
You ask a question.
You get an answer.
You ignore the answer, telling me instead that users here attempt to mimic adult speech.
I know they do.  But I want to talk to them using language that they may actually understand.  I hate cosplay.

For the likes of creekbore, claiming that legal issues are irrelevant to bitcoin, a bit of news:

"The CEO of BitInstant, a Bitcoin exchange, has been arrested at JFK airport and charged with money laundering.
Charlie Shrem, along with a co-conspirator, is accused of selling over $1 million in Bitcoin to Silk Road users, who would then use them to buy drugs and other illicit items."

Yes, Dorothy, people do get pwnt for stupid shit.

What makes NeoBee any different from Ukyo's WeEx, other than renting an office?
So presumably you're hear to rescue anyone considering investing BTC in this or any other BTC based security/venture/scam?

Okay, noted, thx bye.

No.  You can't be helped.  I'm here to rid my Bitcoin of this fail & aids.
Please stop shitting up my bitcoin by being scammed over and over.
It's hard to keep the rats at bay when so many here offer their limbs to feed them, but it's a job worth doing.

257  Economy / Securities / Re: [IPVO] [Multiple Exchanges] Neo & Bee - LMB Holdings on: January 27, 2014, 04:35:16 PM
What I'm trying to say is a scam is indistinguishable from a failed venture when done right.  I believe that Danny is smart enough to do it right, so that there will be no consequences at all.
It will look exactly like a failed business.
Failure is not a crime.

Wow. Ok, for my education, can you name any other 'scams' like this one? And not bitcoin ones, real world ones like NeoBee.

What makes NeoBee any different from Ukyo's WeEx, other than renting an office?  What type of IRL example are you looking for?
Danny is a d00d that funded his "bank" by selling (at best) gray market shares by floating an IPVO (there's that playful "V," lol) on an unlicenced Canadian exchange purportedly sold to a Panamanian shelf co in the meantime.
What here inspires you with confidence?  The wacky picture of him on the cover of Cypriot TV guide?
Other than his desire to buy into a fiat bank and jetting around the globe on your nickel, this bag is right in the same back alley as Pirateat40, Tradefortress & Ukyo's efforts.
258  Economy / Securities / Re: [IPVO] [Multiple Exchanges] Neo & Bee - LMB Holdings on: January 27, 2014, 04:30:19 PM
...
I take your point that there Bitcoin has had more than its fair share of scams in its short life. However, for this particular idea to actually be a scam would take balls the size of Jupiter for only a minor payoff.
...

I'm not sure what you consider "minor.'  A healthy sum was raised by the IPVO [sic], and more coin continues rolling.  At least the hand's out.
I never thought about the size of Danny's balls, but since you bring it up...  How big were Pirateat40's, TradeFortress' and, finally Ukyo's?
My guess is Danny is a bit slicker than the others mentioned, and when this fiasco goes tits up, it will look like a real failed business.  Not a scam at all.

And I'm not even touching the logic of tying up & risking money in shares that can be bought later @ exactly the same price.

Nobody is stopping you from buying later at the same price (if it stays that way - again, no guarantees here).

What we are trying to say is that this would be such a monumental scam that there would be real-world consequences for Danny and the others.

Yes, businesses fail in the real world. But a business like NeoBee needs to come along sometime for Bitcoin, and Cyprus + the Euro is the perfect storm to allow it to happen here and now. That's why I've invested.

What I'm trying to say is a scam is indistinguishable from a failed venture when done right.  I believe that Danny is smart enough to do it right, so that there will be no consequences at all.
It will look exactly like a failed business.
Failure is not a crime.

And no, Bitcoin needs no banks.  That's the most interesting and attractive thing about Bitcoin.
Danny trying to buy into fiat banks only makes the whole thing stink more.
Do not want.

...They cannot release miners with the same hashing rate increase that they previously did. KNC is already at 20nm. Therefore they are going to release batches that don't have the same percentage of increase from the previous generation at similar batch numbers. IOW, their next batches after Q2 are going to add comparable hash rate as the batches they deliver in Q2.

You're ignoring the fact that Bitcoin ASICs are at this point a cottage industry.  The thing about making chips is it scales real nice.  People here focus on ActM's ability to rinse & repeat, but they forget that all of the other ASIC makers have the same ability in spades.
