Why do people say it's unprofitable to mine this coin? I can get ~5.3 coins a day which comes out to $5.xx a day and it's not costing me nearly that much to run my rig. Am I missing something?

CoinsPerDay/ Mh = Block Reward / (Difficulty*0.0497102696) On the IRC #darkcoin channel, you can run a command like this to get an idea as well <tifozi> !calc 1000

I wish I could feel safe storing some coins on and exchange  I don't want to miss out on a huge pump having to deposit coins. You can always do this with only a part of your coins, not risking to lose them all. Yea, and now cryptsy won't even generate a deposit address for me... Edit: Nevermind, it finally did. |

Just wondering about the difficulty, it's at 317 right now, what would our difficulty be if DRK was a scrypt coin? Or I guess if everyone mining DRK switched to a scrypt coin how many GH's would we have? Just trying to compare our hashrate to a scrypt coin I guess. I'm not sure how to word this haha.

honestly, the biggest thing that will get people interested is if they overhear others talking about it and they feel like they are missing out.
