241  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much can you earn with gambling? on: December 26, 2015, 07:46:06 PM
It depend on your skillset, If you can play good, you could earn a lot but you could lose a lot too.
Always asses you risk level and make sure to be realistic when playing.

Unless you are playing poker or something that requires some skill you will find it hard to find a gambling game that requires a skill set to win. Some common sense is enough usually. To original post I won't recommend any sites for you to play and only strategy I know is only deposit what you don't mind losing.
242  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cheapest price you bought your Bitcoin(s) on: December 23, 2015, 12:07:56 AM
0.0135 USD/BTC (2010-07-12).

Damn! One can only get a little disappointed that he was not around to spend a few k at pennies to stock up. That as good times for you early investors granted some would have been sold on the way up but would still have held a few thousand coins for the ath thats for sure.

The cheapest i managed to get mine for was around $220.
243  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how much you lost money in gambling? on: December 22, 2015, 11:09:38 PM
Lost about 1000-1200 EUR, can't really put my finger on exact figure. Thank god i don't try to take a loan and "win that back", and i honestly believe
doing so would only put me in a much worse situation than i was in. Just accept loss if it comes, trying to come back from large ones will
most probably force you to dig yourself even further down.

What kind of time frame is that 1000 euro loss? Mine is around the same but that is over a duration of 2+years. I am up from poker and sports but used to get to excited for bigger wins and play roulette. So about 3btc total losses but like above i have never got any loans to play more and that im happy about and im not addicted.
244  Economy / Speculation / Re: When to hit $10,000? on: December 20, 2015, 11:15:48 PM
These crazy 10k-100k per bitocin threads are amusing.

<my vote would be much longer but if im honest i believe never will it reach 10k>

how many of you would actually hold till 10k what would make you sell then or would you continue to hold?

if so how long would you hold?

Your vote thanks  Grin

Please an an option, 'Never'.

This is the most likely Roll Eyes but its rigged and we have no choice but to be a super 10k bull.
245  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you actively spend your bitcoins? on: December 20, 2015, 10:34:03 PM
At the moment there is nothing i want that can be paid for in bitcoin so no i dont use it to buy anything. i do hope that will change soon enough and then i can and will actually be able to buy things i need with bitcoin. so my vote is no i dont actively spend only trade.
246  Economy / Speculation / Re: Poll: What year will we hit $100,000? on: December 19, 2015, 07:07:18 PM
Glad to see so many optimistic if that is what you call it. In my humble opinion we will never reach $100,000 I have my doubts if we will ever reach even $10,000 and definitely not in 2016. So my answer is never.
247  Other / Off-topic / Re: DO YOU HAVE 1 BITCOIN? on: December 19, 2015, 05:53:59 PM
Yes I have
I bought it
but  scammer was Take it from me
(cryptof.com and bitcointrader.in )

Just like with any currency there are people who are willing to steal from you and bitcoin is no exception. Never believe promises of doubling your money/bitcoin quickly or things to good to be true because they always are. Don't be down though many of us have been scammed, I myself have when i first arrived i do hope that will not happen again lol

Yes i have btc more than one and no OP you can't have them Wink
248  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: 1 BTC Freeroll in 1 hour on: December 19, 2015, 12:31:00 PM
That's great! Congrats on your win man.

I might join this today, see how my luck turns out.

From the looks of it you missed it by 10 hours. I to missed it and knew it was going to run just didn't know what time. It would have been very late for me but if i would have seen it i would have played. How many players until its full? Will next week be the same time so i can put an alarm on my phone lol As above said, congratulations to the winners and and site for providing a very good freeroll.

As its name "massive weekly freeroll" so it should be the same freeroll every week. The maximum players are 90, so you need to be fast to register or you may not get your seat. Registration is open usually 1hour before the freeroll start.

Yeh I knew that because I read it that is why I said will next week game be the same time and not the same day. Same day is a given, time not so much so as many have said they missed it because their timezone so op may change time. Who knows except him. 1 Hour before start registration opens that gives enough time and 90 players is more than I thought. Thanks

Please share your ideas on role of money in gambling.

This is something I'm finding hard to understand. Without money or something of value to bet then you're not gambling but more like playing a video game like you touched upon, to me anyway. My idea of gambling is having something of value at stake.

Yes, it is something like a paid entertainment. Once you pay something for your entertainment than you will have more fun in the game and that too if one have a chance to make more profit than people will be crazy to try these games. That's money is everything in gambling.

yah that is why ppl r addicted in gambling. most of the time, ppl go is for the entertainment. the excitment level that gambling give u is more thrilling den other form of entertainments, and sometimes, if you are lucky, you can even win where you can use the winning to treat yourself a free nice meal. so i have friends who spend like hundred or even thousand to gamble per trip but they enjoy it and continue to do it often.

That is what it is entertainment you're right but many people cross the line when they gamble more than they should and then it starts to become an addiction. Small bets with what you can afford is entertainment, big bets hoping for riches is crazy and to me is no longer entertaining not even to watch.
I have this one friend i used to play poker with, he had control with the amount we played and had fun. Later he played the online sidegames Roulette and black jack and then started losing more than he could afford then every time he had money was trying to win his losses back. As we speak he is over $120,000 in the red All started from entertainment so need to be so careful Sad
251  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptsy going GOX? on: December 18, 2015, 07:48:11 PM
The Cryptsy exchange is showing an image in which it informs that all wallets will be put offline due to a much-needed maintenance...
Is Crypsty going GOX?

Maintenance for an hour or two is nothing and you have been informed of this via email prior. If in a few days it has not been complete we can come back and see whats up and the potential of shady things going on. Cryptsy does not have nowhere near the reserves of gox to pull that one.
252  Other / Off-topic / Re: bitcoin affects life a lot on: December 18, 2015, 07:19:56 PM
bitcoin has afftected my life a lot not only positively but also negetively.thats because there was a time when i use to walk run and even jump like a monkey with friends and all the outdoor stuffs but after getting involve in this bitcoin thing i am spending most of my time either coding or learning new programming languages or earnin btcs for somewhere . should i lower spending my time in internet or not and is there anyone who is facing this type of addiction here
Yeah, I'm having that type of addiction too.
The different is, I've experienced it since I did not know bitcoin.

I think many of us here are going through the same thing. The thing is op you should have moderation and make time for things that you used to do with your friends outside. It seems you have let it get to an extreme where you're kind of addicted to work and everything bitcoin. Programming and learning is really good and you should continue to do that but make sure you take time out to do the things you used to and create balance in your life. Bitcoin is awesome but life is better and bitcoin will still be here once you have had your fun.
253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Honestly, which is better? Monero or Dash? on: December 18, 2015, 01:04:16 AM
Without the funny business that Dash had when it started i would vote for that because of the development that coin has and community behind it. But there was funny business and i don't like that. My vote is for Monero.

255  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sports trading strategy? on: December 17, 2015, 12:25:24 AM
So in short you are talking about trying to arbitrage between sites. On paper that sounds like a good idea! In reality, you will need a very very big bankroll and top dog software installed to be able to even think about it.

You may see the chance on these sites to make a few dollars but give it a go and you will more than likely quickly find other arbiters are already there betting thus increasing your odds. They pay hundreds for their software.
256  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin worth to you or not... on: December 16, 2015, 09:32:47 AM
Bitcoin allows me to be my own bank and keep my savings safe from anyone that may want to take them. I don't trust banks or fiat so to me bitcoin is worth a lot.

That is not speaking just USD/Euro terms that is talking security. I use it as a currency in a small way but waiting for the day everywhere accepts it and i can pay my mortgage and bills with it. (without the need of a middle man to rely on to pay for me) Even until then it is worth so so much more than worthless fiat.
257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How 1BTC can eventually be worth $11M on: December 15, 2015, 11:53:33 PM
You have tried your best to put the numbers together but they will not show their self in reality. Maybe 10k in our life time which lets me leave a fortune to the kids so I'm happy. But $11million a coin NO Tongue
258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What wallets do you use and why? on: December 15, 2015, 11:04:40 PM
What wallets do you use and which one do you prefer and why?

I have 4 different wallets i use. Well three of them more than one. So i have a paper wallet, a ledger wallet that has a few bitcoin on. Electrum on a pc that doesn't browse the internet. I also have a blockchain.info wallet which i have a small amount of bitcoin that i would be using over the next few days. I've never held more than 2btc in there even though i think they're a safe online wallet. From them all my preference is the ledger nano, reason; super easy to use and very safe.

260  Other / Off-topic / Re: Worst mistake you did with Bitcoin? on: December 14, 2015, 10:01:41 PM
Worst thing I done with bitcoin which is not as bad or as much as some. I went through a faze of losing on every alt coin I invested in, within a year I had lost around 10btc. That may not be much to some but to me that was a very large amount! On the plus side I learned a lot and now I am scraping the losses back slowly.
