that's why they invented "file".

"file sgminer_ubuntu64" <-- will tell you it's a binary.....   Smiley
242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: TRULY Custom RAM Timings for GPU's with GDDR5 on: January 20, 2017, 07:12:19 AM
Another important point I have realized (and suspected when The Stilt did not do it) is that Samsung Straps are arranged differently than the others in the bios and are not at all cross compatible.

True, and Samsung seems to be the biggest b*tch in case of customizing straps..

In comparison with Hynix... big difference.
Simple example: Stock speed with just a copy paste of the straps on a 480 4G (XMR) around 700h, while with my custom timing it easily hits 800h..

So far that i know, only 3 people managed to create custom straps..  but i could be wrong here :p
243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Smallest hardware that mines Ethereum, Zcash, Monero on: January 19, 2017, 11:15:55 AM
Pandaminer is probably the most compact for an 8-card rig, but you can probably build a 2-card rig in a very small "media center" type case with proper part selection.

Quite a few MicroATX boards around that will suppport 2 GPUs.

Indeed, but the efficiency? the cost?
The result would be equivalent to the pandaminer?

I am asking for the "smallest" so to be able to placed inside a rack

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1757132.0

I have also posted some results regarding speed and consumption Smiley

haha and what makes you think that its bullshit and I have not done any of that? Guess you don't like my stance on open crypto and calling out devs that go against the founding principles of it, but that makes me the bullshitter and entitled one right? My history in crypto clearly speaks for itself, but here you go for laughs

oh and I appreciate you writing love notes for me...its sweet Smiley

Not sure what's so special about that screenshot, your tonga's that are running so slow? Should at least do 190, easily..

If that would have been 10 x Ellesmere i would have said, ok, that's nice..

Still, if one goes down and your system freezes you have 9 other gpu's sitting there being super productive Wink

i honestly don't see the point.. but if that makes you happy, well, then i'm happy too!  Cool

amazing job Smiley what hashing speed / power draw you are able to get with with xmr / eth / zcash ?

Very nice work, would be interesting to post general pricing here thought Smiley

Will pm you since i wish to know  Grin

No way to buy just the image i guess ? (even encrypted or one use with a key or something ?)

Yeah, that is perfectly possible (only the image).

Greetings!

Update (3 Nov 17):

Seeing that this thread got some attention lately, i saw it necessary to write something quickly.

I decided only to support large operations.

This isn't something i decided today or yesterday, has been going on for quite a while now.
This is also the reason for my inactivity lately.

Again, only supporting large operations/farms.

For all the others out there, you have plenty of other alternatives to choose from....  Ethos, Pimp, etc..

Regarding VBIOS modifications, that is something i can still do from time to time Smiley

Cheerio!

Misschien handig om te vermelden wat je te bieden hebt. Ik heb zelf geen interesse maar ik kan me voorstellen dat mensen niet gaan reageren als er niet in staat wat je te bieden hebt.

Klopt, beetje meer info mag wel Smiley

Any new status update here? Do you have already a date Eliovp when you start to sell it? Smiley

Shop is as good as done.

Monitor/management is also 99% done.

Working my but off to get this finished Smiley
250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v11.0 (Windows/Linux) on: January 13, 2017, 08:49:55 AM
Claymore, We wait Linux v.11

me too...

Please do not make us linux users unhappy.

Us linux users have Optiminer for now, which is still faster.
251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Optiminer/Zcash v1.3.0 (GPU, Linux, AMD) on: January 12, 2017, 10:31:43 AM
it says expected speeds for 480 is 260 H/s... but i just get 240-250... is there any way to speed it up?  im using the auto i for level 5.  level 6 doesnt seem to produce any faster.

Thanks guys

On windows..?

Ubuntu 14.04, 280sol per GPU (480 4G MXM).

By far the best one out there (miner)..
252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Review of Panda Miner coming up. on: January 12, 2017, 09:05:00 AM
Here's a new one

2200+ sol with peaks up to 2260 at 1050-1070 watt (swings a bit).

<snip>

Greetings!

Amazing Eliovp!

This looks like optiminer - currently ahead of Claymore v10.

Have you tried claymore v11?

As said above, not available, i did try 10, max i got was 235 per GPU.. Big difference Wink

Greetings!

Edit: A friend of mine talked to AMD and can confirm that they will stick with the mxm design for at least 3-5 years, this will also include the upcoming vega cards.

So in other words, the panda is upgradable! Woop! Smiley

I just installed a fresh Windows 10 2016 LTSB Enterprise with my own key. Copied, the miner binariese back to the panda miner. Everything is working great now since 7 days. So no worry to reinstall the machine it will work again without any special modification Cheesy Now its time to switch to the linux version and see what I can do there with it Wink

By the way, I'm mining monero and got a stable hashrate from 5970 h/s.

sgminer can go higher than 6khs but that on Linux....

6400 @ 880 watt stable as a rock over here.. Smiley
255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Review of Panda Miner coming up. on: January 11, 2017, 02:32:43 PM
Just to be clear.
I'm definitely not interested in making this public, if you want an OS that's equally as good or perhaps even better i would suggest to go for either
Ethosdistro or PiMP.
They both have an awesome community and offer great support.
I do not. Smiley

Plus, this is not designed to support any other system besides the Pandaminer.

Can you elaborate on "I'm definitely not interested in making this public" ? Are you saying that you're going to only sell this software or are you saying that you're only going to sell it along with a panda miner you modified?

I missed a few pages of this post so this question may be answered already but I'm looking for clarification. I know I saw somewhere there was talk about reselling pandaminers you modified.

Great Work on this btw

The same question.

That is correct.
I will only distribute this together with a panda miner.

Greetings!
256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: R9 Nano Modded Rom on: January 11, 2017, 11:33:09 AM
I have my nano's running with a custom timing which also improves quite a bit.

Due to the work that i have already put into all of this, i'm not going to release this for free.

I will however release other things in the future Smiley

Greetings!

What speed and wattage are you getting with the new mod?

How much would it cost for the mod?

I should do some new tests as i have made new improvements regarding custom timings.

I will, as soon as i find some time :p

Greetings!
257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v10.0 (Windows/Linux) on: January 10, 2017, 11:00:36 PM
I am getting good results with my MintMiner:

1785 SOLs @ 1125W at the wall.  This is giving me 1.59Hashes per Watt.

Anyone else think the photo was just a giant spam post so people will click on his links to buy his miner?  Relevance to Claymore? The photo at least has no relevance. The sols/wattage maybe has some.

Mmmm do i smell some extra advertisement from your side as well ?  Wink
What is that there in your signature  Cheesy uhu..

btw.. just as some side info, the pandaminer does 1950sol while consuming 1050 watt.. (ok, modified .. but still :p)

woops, also advertisement..  Roll Eyes

A big thx to PiMP and Ethosdistro.
I combined the best of those two Operating Systems and learned a lot from them.

Impressive.... can you show how the selecting the miner works on the dashboard?

Apart from Claymore for ETH and ZEC, I also use sgminer-gm for XMR.

Depending on profitability of the 3 coins, how easy is it to switch from one coin to the other with miner of you choice?

Of course,

Change Miner
Select one

Sgminer is obviously included Wink

Wow, Optiminer really pulled ahead on this release.

His speedups don't really matter with the shitty stratum code he has compared to claymore...wont run more than a few hours before it loses connection and just stops mining and needs a manual restart.

True, it's not that stable as Claymore's, but everything is easy to solve isn't it?

Manual restart  Grin

crash=$(watch tail -n 100 ../optiminer-zec/log.log | grep "Share")
if ($crash -ge "0");then
   kill -9 $(pgrep optiminer)
   sleep 5
   ./optiminer-zec/start.sh
fi
