That's --gekko-noboost
Check the top post Q. Does the NewPac/R606 support AsicBoost. Mostly. - If you receive shared rejected messages from a specific pool, you can disable asicboost with "--gekko-noboost".
AsicBoost on Win10 may not always work. - If you see the frequency drop as soon as it starts up, you can use a modified version of AsicBoost "--gekko-lowboost" or disable asicboost with the command above.

When my other NewPacs arrive, I just need to stop CGminer, plug them in, and fire the program back up, correct?
You should just need to plug the miners in and CGMiner will find them on the fly while running.

Can you share the rational behind the difficulty at 32? The instructions that came with the miner indicate that setting, but I have seen different difficulties on these boards. Appreciate it!
Don't get wrapped around the axle about difficulty of shares being submitted. Most pools adjust difficulty automatically to arrive at approximately 18 shares submitted per minute. You don't really need to set a minimum difficulty. But it's less load on the pool to do so until the pool does the adjustment.

I've been playing with my R606 the past couple of days and managed to set the freq to 900, set the voltage to max and she seems to settle at 800.
I had my Batch 2 unit up to 850Mhz and the performance was about the same as 750 but consumed more power. Sidehack suggested to not go over 750Mhz. So I'm now running my Batch 1 and 2 unit at 725Mhz and getting 1.9Ths+ out of the two. So I would recommend testing and comparing at the higher and lower frequency for performance and power consumption.

And because it's GekkoScience, it will have none of what that guy just suggested.
I certainly wasn't making a suggestion. I'm not at all on the IOT bandwagon. I still turn my lights on and off the old fashioned way, with a switch. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Sounds great. As long as it has WiFi and an IOS app to configure it.

So I contacted the the ISP provider and they confirmed me that I was hacked by WiFi although I’m not sure how since the SSID was hidden.
Hiding an SSID is NOT a security feature. It just keeps the casual person from seeing your network easily. Clients still need to know the SSID and that information is passed in the clear over the air. So anyone sniffing for WiFi can easily see your SSID even though it is hidden. I seriously doubt that a hacker in China was connecting via your WiFi. Make sure your using, at least, WPA2 with a very good and complex key. Disable uPNP and Bonjour and reboot it. If your using a Ubiquity router make sure you disable Ubi Discovery. Os2Sam, I wanted to ask you. How can I check my network for the level of security? What type of software do I need to load up to be able to try to hack my own network even when the SSID is hidden? I thought that it makes it pretty safe when I hide the SSID ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) What other modern safety measures people take these days to protect their network? Thanks! You can download wireshark to scan your network traffic. WPA/2/3 with, a good, high entropy key is important for wifi. uPNP and Bonjour allow apps in your network to open ports in your router, whether its wired or wifi, and gives you NO notification that that was done. Also you can check TCP hardness of your router by using ShieldsUp at grc.com and scanning "All Service Ports" and verifying that all ports are at least closed at best stealthed.

It is about that time, isn't it.

I'm not sure what those commands are supposed to be for, but I have 2 R606's running great on a Pi4. Make sure you have the latest build of CGMiner as it is a different version for the R606 than the older stick miners. But the new version does include support for the sticks too. There are instructions on the top post explaining the installation process. There are more detailed instructions, which I used, here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5053833.msg50968875#msg50968875.

GekkoScience NewPack Bitcoin Miner is not accepting shares.
Best share: 485
[2020-01-18 13:51:58.115] Pool 0 difficulty changed to 500000
Your best share is 485 and the minimum your pool will accept is 500,000. So until your miner finds a share equal to or higher than that the pool will not accept a share from you. Just be patient you should be able to submit one after a half million Diff1 shares, but it may take a long time. If your pool accepts it you add "--suggest-diff 128" to your command line for CGMiner. Edit: It's not your mining hardware that's not accepting shares it's your pool that's not accepting shares from your miner.

Yes, of course I was mining in SLUSHPOOL During above mentioned period. All miner just mine BTC
Slush, I'm pretty sure, merge mines altcoins. So if you were mining only through slush than that could explain it. Or if you are mining through Nicehash to slush then your hash rate gets redirected by renters which usually mine new altcoins for brief periods. If you have questions about how Slush operates then you should be asking in that thread. If you want to mine here don't expect to be finding 17 Bitcoin Blocks in 2 weeks with 220Ths. This pool is a great solution for a backup pool. Maybe try using the main ck pool with this solo pool as a backup.

C'mon you Christmas block.
i need a present. i know we barely at diff": 46.6 but c'mon lady luck
Hi what is the meaning of this diff value? i know that current diff is 12.95 someone can explaine please? The pool itself has submitted 46.6% of the shares require to reach 100%, which is 12.95 Billion Trillion shares. Thanks for the answear. so if i want to rent some hash , its better to do it near to 100%...of course if we didnt find any block till then It doesn't matter really. The 46.6% is really just gee whiz information. This is a solo pool so the higher the hash rate the more chance you have of finding a block.

Thanks to Eyeboot, I finally received a perfectly working Terminus R606! It’s nice and very quiet running at 700GH/s +- 100. Now, it’s just very hard looking for a very easy step by step instructions to setup on my Raspberry Pi 4. I’ve looked into pages of forums and I just couldn’t find one...
These are the instructions I used which are in the support thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5053833.msg50968875#msg50968875

Is there any way to specify the starting diff?
You can use the CGMiner command line option "--suggest-diff 128" or whatever diff you want.

Thanks Cohenpol. That was very helpful.

Thank you
Why did you delete the instructions on how to keep the Pi screen from blanking? I had been fighting that for a while and had given up.
