241  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: JustHack.net Trusted? on: October 12, 2014, 11:16:10 PM
Ask if they'll accept escrow. That will give you your answer on their legitimacy. Don't get scammed!
242  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Best miner software for Red Hat 5.0 Linux? on: October 12, 2014, 10:50:23 PM
It's hard to take this thread seriously. Running usb miners will make you bleed money.
243  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Upgraded internet and S1 wifi issue on: October 12, 2014, 10:38:46 PM
Why can't you just run it use an ethernet cord? Wifi isn't reliable for mining.
244  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Very new to bit coin mining on: October 12, 2014, 10:28:40 PM
Mining with graphics card has not been profitable for some time now. You need to buy dedicated miners, and even then, it's hard to justify with the current low price of Bitcoin. So unless you have free electricity, you're better off buying Bitcoins instead of buying mining hardware.
245  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Who made CGMiner? on: October 11, 2014, 11:40:46 PM
This is the first I'm hearing about Satoshi having custom mining software based on block patterns. Could you please link me to the thread where that is being discussed? Sounds interesting!
The idea is that the LSB of of the 32-bit nonce value of all blocks supposedly mined by Satoshi have a very strange probability distribution.

Awesome, thanks! Should be an interesting read.
246  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: October 11, 2014, 05:10:16 PM
So the coins people paid have finally been moved from the original wallet it seems. I find it very hard to believe they were stolen and that this is instead just a cover story to claim they don't have the coins anymore, but in reality, secretly control them.

248  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: question about selling mined coins. on: October 11, 2014, 04:33:59 PM
No. You can sell coins on Coinbase or any similar exchange relatively easily. You should be fine.
249  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: "..goddamnit ghash found a block with 30BTC in fees" on: October 09, 2014, 03:45:17 AM
Wow, that's ridiculous. How can you make such a huge mistake. Lucky that ghash was nice enough to refund it though. So crazy..
Wait a minute, before you all go praising ghash... where did you see the owner of those fees come forth and identify themselves and when did ghash return it?
Ghash just said they did in post 7. Scroll up and see.

Edit: Seems like the person hasn't identified themselves yet, but maybe they'll show themselves eventually.

As I mentioned in Alex's thread, anyone who has sent bitcoins to BlackArrow, check to see if those coins are still in the original wallet you sent them to, or if they've been moved (stolen) as BA would like you to believe.

252  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Proposing new feature in Bitcoin protocol to reduce the number of thefts on: October 05, 2014, 10:13:21 PM
Anyone who has bitcoins tied up with black arrow, check to see if those coins are still sitting in the original wallet you sent them to, or if they've been 'stolen' like BA is trying to make it seem.

Also, just for fun, since this isn't a self-moderated thread:

Alexandru Ion Sovu is a Romanian scammer running a fraud of a business by the name of Black Arrow.

253  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Call to arms! on: October 05, 2014, 09:50:43 PM
Well this can't last forever. Pretty soon the price will be too low for even large mining outfits to continue. Then, and only then, will the price recover.
254  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow Customers - Consumer Complaints Links on: October 05, 2014, 08:00:52 PM
I sent an email to bitcz about joining the lawsuit a couple of days ago, but I haven't heard back yet.
Can anyone please tell me what the status is on this?
Maybe bitcz is actually BA... They collected all the complaint data from us and binned it.
Should not accuse anyone unless we have a solid prove. Worse case , Forum moderators could help to provide IP addresses if required by LAW.
I don't see how useful this info would be. They could easily be using a VPN or Proxy to mask their IP, so the info would be worthless.

Still no news on BlackArrow being shut down? How much longer will it take? This has gone on for too long.

I love reading his articles on TorrentFreak; he has some of the best arguments against copyright, etc.
257  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Call to arms! on: October 05, 2014, 07:12:15 PM
How the difficulty is still going up, I don't understand.. If I had to pay for electricity, I wouldn't be mining right now. But I have free electricity. Cheesy
258  Other / New forum software / Re: Two factor? on: September 27, 2014, 02:14:32 AM
This is a great idea. It's much better to use something bitcoin related for 2FA versus relying on Google. Hopefully theymos considers this.
259  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [NEWS] Butterfly Labs - Shut Down by US Government on: September 24, 2014, 04:20:30 AM
I can only hope that this is just the beginning. Plenty of other manufacturers need to be taken down.

Thanks guys! I finally got it working! I had to add the http:// to the address and specify my btc address.
