Hello everyone, I try not to spread FUD and welcome everyone to check my history that reflects this. I like trying to support as many alts as I can, but something here seems fishy. If I am wrong, I apologize in advance, and hopefully we'll all continue on our way. I will try to be precise yet concise in my questions to save everyone time. I will include links as well as screen shots of critical information of what I'm most worried about to make sure everything is available. Again, if I'm way off on this, I humbly apologize. Timeline of events: Dev begins a twitter account on July 22nd and sends a series of tweets about the new coin. Link: https://twitter.com/BIGBullion2014/status/491629401583284224 Imgur: https://i.imgur.com/sasXPmD.pngDev posts the ann thread on BTCTalk on July 29th with a short description of the coin. Link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=715904.msg8086588#msg8086588 Imgur: https://i.imgur.com/S297c3z.pngLater on the 29th, dev makes a post with links to Facebook and Twitter accounts for the coin on BTCTalk. Link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=715904.msg8090202#msg8090202 Imgur: https://i.imgur.com/xvcVt8q.pngThe next day, July 30th, dev makes a post with the specifics of the coin both on BTCTalk and Facebook. Imgur: https://i.imgur.com/yt0MyZi.pngOn August 5th, dev posts a link on Facebook with a link to the blockchain and official website. Link: https://www.facebook.com/BIGBullion2014/posts/1457724434486418Imgur: https://i.imgur.com/TYMWg0I.pngBlockchain: http://188.226.197.228Here is my question. The blockchain shows the first block being mined on June 24th with a reward of 50 coins and the second block being mined on July 26th with a reward of 36 coins which is consistent with the coins specs. Many coins began to be mined at 1 diff. Link: http://188.226.197.228/chain/BIGBullion?hi=19&count=20Imgur: https://i.imgur.com/PTsZDs0.pngAs of now, the link to the blockchain shows that the coin is on block 1618 with a difficulty of 788,578. Link: http://188.226.197.228/chain/BIGBullionImgur: https://i.imgur.com/RFfwlrQ.pngThe coin specs say no premine and have a specific release date yet the blockchain shows it being mind currently. So what's the deal? Wow, amazingly detailed detective work. Let's wait for the dev to explain. I doubt he would launch a coin that already has thousands of blocks mined.

Its kinda sad and funny at the same time ,, if the complainers expended as much energy helping to develop the coin or spread the word we would be further along the development path. To date we have received 0 donations and 0 development support.....and hundreds of complaints. So it seems we are footing the development costs of the coin entirely on our own. This was seen as a possibility and so we continue. The projected developments costs to implement everything we envision for the coin tops 11 btc. If the community doesn't want to "buck up" then its needs to shut up about the speed of our progress. Realize it will take more time without development support. If the community thinks it can raise the costs of development on its own then the source is open but without a premine the challenges remain .....who's paying for development time and services required ? So if its the QUID team alone without the community why do you expect us to be concerned with your time frame. If you havent put your money where your mouth is then shut up. We are working on it and we are paying for it. You cant demand 0 premine and then demand someone else pay for your development. We move ahead at the pace we move ahead. If you are expecting us to make you feel good every hour by blowing some smoke up your ass you should have supported the team. +1. On the other hand you can continue gradually developing the coin and buying this really cheap QUID. And when the time comes to release new amazing features that'll bring QUID to da MOON you will possess enough coins to be well paid for your hard work Excellent advice. This would simultaneously help the market and the development team.

Well said, the crypto world has really morphed into a strange place over the past couple of months. People expect devs to be available 24/7 and give updates every minute. If a dev goes a day without posting, the coin is instantly labeled a scam. So much entitlement by the coin holders, they don't realize that they are the ones causing the collapse of so many coins...sad.

price already below IPO level....lol
IPO wayyy cheap, not many miners mining this coin, low price, dev could of thought about this b4 he doubled the IPO ammouunt you got for 1 share....
this coin wont go far, investors know theres 17% IPO ...would you buy a coin you dont know that has an IPO of 17%... thats whats happening here...common sence dev..
lol, this silly kid knows nothing about crypto. Sooo many coins nowadays have POW periods between 3 and 5 days. Guess what, on ALL of those coins, 20%+ are distributed at a low cost to the early miners on the FIRST DAY! The IPO is no different. A coins success is determined by what it delivers, not what people acquire it at. Shadowcoin had a nethash well under 10GH/s for most of POW. The vast majority of coins were mined at a value under 1000 satoshis. Did Shadowcoin tank? No, because it delivered. The fact that we have people wasting their days trolling in this thread is a good sign. People let weak coins die. Strong coins they try to bring down...unsuccessfully.

Definitely wait on Bittrex. We had some decent volume on C-Cex this first few hours of mining. If the volume picks up a little, we will make it to the C-Cex hit coins list and Bittrex will take notice. Definitely feel this coin has the ability to make it on its own.

Best of luck with your launch.

Just a few more transactions and CRYSTAL is headed to the hot list on C-Cex.

Awesome service and a stand up individual. Used Maidak for a 1 BTC escrow of Crystalcoin. He sent my coins promptly. Second time using Maidak and he was a pleasant experience both times.

I could be wrong, but I don't think so. I've yet to see a single mod chasing users away from Bitcointalk. Bitcointalk needs the alternative currency section to stay relevant, aside from the revenue the traffic generates. There is a reason behind this silly rule - and I personally think it has more to do with SEO than anything else (I think the administrators are afraid of being penalized by Google for link spamming).
Quote for refrence: Wow. For the guys suggesting one post per thread, how exactly do you expect us to enforce that? There is no easy way to see how many times someone has posted in a particular thread. Even looking through the post history won't work because you can easily change the subject of a post to hide what thread you're posting in, not to mention that's too time consuming. Also all you'd have to do is delete the old post, since mods can't see deleted posts (and I suspect more than one of you who suggested this knew that).
And yes, you guys are right when listing the problems inherent with using this forum as the sole source of information about an altcoin, along with a thousand other coins. Which is the reason people spam in the first place, because there is no specific board for mining a particular coin, or for services for a coin, or whatever else. The only real answer is to setup coin specific forums, any serious coin will do this. The rest are pump and dumps, or scams that won't be around long enough, and we aren't going to cater to them. We won't setup coin specific boards here either. Spamming is a crutch people have used to get around these limitations, and it's getting out of hand.
Even BadBear suggests we could use another forum. Sure, not chasing users out of the forum, but this new rule makes the life of traders/miners harder. They will no longer be able to get updated the moment thei come in. My suggestion to those guys was that yhey should open an account in cryptocointalk (or any other suitable alternative) and lurk there as well. Neither I said that we should abandon the forum, just use a nother one at the same time but for different purposes. He didn't, as far as I can see. It was just a general speculative statement. Well, it's simple, if they don't allow us to do such an important part of our job which is posting in the forums for so many reasons, and of course this affects everyone in the Altcoin world, they're just chasing everyone out of here. I've never even touched Cryptocointalk before this happened, Bitcointalk was the only forum for me but not anymore. +100 As a miner and trader of altcoins, I need to know what pools and exchanges are supporting a coin. If that information cannot be translated quickly and easily in this forum, then myself and the thousands of others like me are forced to get the information through other avenues (i.e. different forums).

you do realise that 600 blocks is 6000 coins ? and the diff is 17 .. if i was insta mining it would be 20k blocks and the diff would be 500+ cause id just rent a few GH for the day lol why would i insta mine 600 blocks ?
Why did you "postpone" the launch if everything was live? You just mined by yourself for a day.
|
|
|
we are going ahead with these wallets there have been 600+ blocks mined from some ppl who connected ( somehow ) everyone will be compensated as i will payout those coins to the people in forums irc etc to make up for it
