241  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's Volatility Problem on: April 21, 2023, 02:55:35 AM
The value of bitcoin can fluctuate rapidly and dramatically, sometimes within a single day. This can create challenges for individuals and businesses that use bitcoin as a means of payment or as an investment.

For example, if someone were to receive payment in bitcoin BTC for a product or sevice, the value of that payment could decrease significantly before they have chance to exchange it for a more stable currency. Similarly, business that hold bitcoin as an investment may experience significant losses if the value of bitcoin drops suddenly.
This is the nature Of Bitcoin. When you accept Bitcoin as a payment method. You are aware of the risk and its volatility. It's possible to see a massive crash in the market, while it's also possible to see a good pump within a short time frame. You have to do the proper risk management for your business. You should be ready for a possible market crash. Also, You can expect a pump. This is how Bitcoin works, and we all know that. You shouldn't worry about it.

Overall, while bitcoin BTC has the potential to offer many benefits ,its volatility and lack of regulation can create significant challenges for business, governments and us people around the world.
Tell me where the regulations come from. What was the initial plan for Bitcoin? Bitcoin users are supposed to be anonymous, and they shouldn't ever be regulated. I don't care if businesses allow Bitcoin as a payment method. But, If regulations start to regulate Bitcoin, I will have to leave Bitcoin. I don't use Bitcoin to make money. I don't want to be regulated. You guys do not understand the concept of Bitcoin and its purposes.
242  Economy / Gambling / Re: This guy gave a whole prototype of "how live roulette scam us" on: April 21, 2023, 02:20:16 AM
Such thing is possible, remember movies wherein cheating is in form of a switch in roulettes? Quite silly but it is wlso possible. But what can we do? Move to other platforms or change the game you are playing or simply take a pause. Nit because a platform scams or fools you in roulette, it would already mean that other platforms as well would do so; roulette have not exist for years in this industry for nothing. There are people who enjoys playing it and that is I think an enough reason to not generalize. It is not on the game but on the platforms you are playing at. We just cannot order people to avoid a game just because of such possibility.

An Average Joe can't find out if some specific games are rigged. Highly experienced players who do some research can find out which one is rigged. I would appreciate it if someone could find them with proof and expose them. If such a thing is possible, as shown in the video, here is something to worry about. Every game is not rigged. The Platform behind it is doing such a thing.

The Youtube Channel RouletteMan shared the video. So, they must be experienced, and if they are aware of such things, Why don't they expose such platforms? Or they are making money from them too? If you know which one is rigged, suggest which one is not. So we can play on a fair platform.

I am worried now. Roulette is one of the most played games. It's been around since the 18th century. I don't know if there were some kind of cheating back then. I don't play Roulette that much. But, This game has a huge fanbase.
243  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: EXODUS + N.Exchange = SCAM | STAY AWAY on: April 21, 2023, 01:49:30 AM
Thank you everyone who supported me here and in private.
Finally after 51 (fifty one!!!) days I got my 2.7 btc back.
Oh Hell, Congratulations to you!

For sure my real counterparts refused to cooperate and reveal themselves to the NExchange ( who the hell is N.Exchange Huh )
In this case, You are the victim here, and you were forced to submit the KYC. Would you reveal your personal information on the internet for someone else? I believe you care about your privacy, and this is why you use Bitcoin. Bitcoin is supposed to help you remain anonymous. Now if you had to reveal your identity because of Bitcoin, this is bullshit. I am not surprised that your actual counterparties refused to cooperate. They are not supposed to reveal themself for doing a transaction. We all want to remain anonymous on the internet.

Wait a second. You first accused OP that its his own fault for not checking on exchanger that Exodus is using and that its not their responsibility (even though he explained that Exodus didn't allow him to see which exchanger will be actually used for the swap) and now you changed your tune and say that the way they are doing it is a complete scam.

I laughed at it. Exchanges and some casinos have some shady TOS (Now wallets too). Literally, you are not giving me any choices other than using this exchange, and you already said you are not liable for any shit they do with your users. At first, this guy decided to support the wallet company because they wrote they were not liable. Then realized how scammy this is. xD. So, he changed his mind.
244  Economy / Reputation / Re: How secure are you when unknown user chats you up? on: April 21, 2023, 01:13:28 AM
Scammer everywhere especially in telegram, In One week I receive at least 2-4 Scammer as you mention before. Sometimes I direct blocked and report as spammer, but If I have plenty of time I follow what he/she said. Just for play of course.
2-4 scam attempts a week? It's a pretty high number compared to others. I am wondering how many groups you are joined. Usually, those scammers come from Crypto and gambling-related groups. They follow the group members and target them. If you are in some groups where you are not interested anymore, consider leaving them. The number of messages from strangers will decrease day by day. Also, you may change your telegram handle as it's easy to do.

Sometimes they introduce themself and then talk about where do u live I usually answer southeast Asia and then if we continue chatting he will give some HYIP(High Yield Investment Program) and offer high APY and said that he got rich from the site.  Grin Grin What a joke.
HYIP Scam is the most successful scam on the internet (I assume). It's easy to fool new people who recently started searching for how to make money from the internet. Unfortunately, this scam still works, and people lose money for their greediness. I usually asked them how much they made daily in the old days. Why not invest yourself and double it every day? Why are you wasting time here?
245  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do you want bitcoin to stay? on: April 20, 2023, 03:43:19 PM
Everyone wants to get benefit from wherever they can. If someone doesn't get benefits from Bitcoin, they won't support Bitcoin for apparent reasons. The government is one of them. What benefit does the government gain from Bitcoin? Nothing. They get nothing from Bitcoin. They are losing income because of Bitcoin. If you hold your funds in a bank, they know how much money you have. They can charge tax over your holdings. Moreover, Banks give your money to someone else as a loan, and they take profits from them. So, If you hold your money in the bank, they can do business with your money.

Now, If you use Bitcoin and don't use Bank anymore, Banks won't know how much you have, and they cannot charge tax. They cannot do business with your money. You should understand why Banks and The Government don't want Bitcoin to stay. After all the point I've discussed, what do you think? Why I want Bitcoin to stay?
246  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Indian Premier League #IPL on: April 20, 2023, 01:46:30 PM
Royal Challengers Bengalore  vs  Punjab Kings
Bengaluru still has a chance to win this match despite the fact that their bowlers have had a difficult IPL season. With a solid batting lineup that includes seasoned players like Kohli, du Plessis, Maxwell, and Dinesh Karthik the club has the ability to give Punjab Kings a difficult target to meet. Bengaluru has given themselves a fighting chance in this match with their tally of 174 runs in 20 overs while losing 4 wickets. The match is still in play because Punjab Kings batting innings has off to a strong start with 56 runs in just 8 overs. Since it is difficult to anticipate who will win let's wait and observe until the match is over.

Yeah. They won the match already by 24 Runs. Punjab Kings lose their last three wickets in the last seven balls. Jitesh Sharma was playing well. They had ten more balls to utilize in the match, but unfortunately, they did not have enough wickets in hand. RCB had a flying start, but Punjab Kings' Top order batters could not dominate RCB bowlers. Only Prabhsimran Singh and Jitesh Sharma could fight back a little bit. They had three foreign batters, and all of them failed to score. Punjab Kings are now at number seven at the point table.

Their Top order batters should step up in the next match and do something for the team. Jitesh Sharma had a chance to finish the game once he got a chance. Kohli Could have been the villain today if Jitesh could finish the match. Kohli Dropped his catch in an intense moment but luckily Harshal Patel were able to remove Jitesh in the very next over without letting him score much.
247  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Rollbit disables account and seizes funds (10.2k)! on: April 20, 2023, 01:26:38 PM
Rollbit and stake have a connection. Some months back stake was hacked and user data such as email addresses were stolen. About 2 months ago almost all platinum+ VIPs got catered emails from rollbit with bonus offers, the higher the VIP level on stake, the higher the bonus was.

In conclusion, Rollbit bought the stolen data from the hackers, therefor a company that uses such shady things to promote its own business can't be trusted in the first place in my eyes. That's all I meant to say with it.

By the way, I also got the bonus, 100$ . They advertised it as "no strings attached", but in order to be able to withdraw you suddenly had to deposit and send document for KYC. Obviously I don't trust a company that uses shady tactics as well as having several scam accusations with my documents, so I rather told them to keep the money and logged out for good.

Aham. That's surprising. I wasn't aware of "Stake's Data breach or something like that. Has that happened? Are you a VIP member there? How are you confirmed that All VIP members received an email from Rollbit? How many Stake VIP's you know personally? How do you confirm that they also received a promotional email from Rollbit? Did you post it anywhere within or outside this forum when it happened?

Now come to the 2nd Point. They said No Strings Attached, and you had to make a deposit to withdraw the Funds? I have no problem with KYC since the casino requires their user KYC to verify, and it's on their TOS page. If their promotional email says No Strings Attached, then they ask users to make a deposit to be eligible to withdraw their winnings. Of course, this is a string. Did you post those anywhere?
248  Other / Meta / Re: The J.A.R.V.I.S AutoReply Protocol Initiative (JARPI) - Powered by ChatGPT on: April 20, 2023, 01:04:42 PM
hitting them in the wallet is the best way to get them to stop posting rubbish. (Which will make the forum better for everyone.)
From what I've seen over the years, getting rid of obvious spam makes some of the spammers switch to something that's much harder to detect.
When plagiarism got busted, they switched to a homograph attack. When that was made impossible (by theymos), they switched to word spinners. Now it's AI-spam. The main problem is: it becomes less and less obvious what's spam, and more time consuming to detect.

Then what could be the possible solution? Just let them do shit? Recently I saw people report some AI Written content that was not been removed yet. Officially they are not violating the rules yet. Plagiarism is getting more tolerance from Global Mods. I think a Perm ban is too harsh for mistakes like plagiarism, especially if it's done once or twice and done by someone who made some positive contribution. But these days, your plagiarism reporting thread got a bunch of reports where the same users are doing the same shit repeatedly, and Mods handled those reports without punishment.

Now, Come to AI Spam. It doesn't have a rule yet. I don't think reporting them has any benefits. I feel like I saw a thread from a Global Mod's alt. He was talking about plagiarism rules and punishment. Couldn't find it anymore. Aww, it seems I am going off-topic.
249  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The fall of crypto influencers. on: April 19, 2023, 05:12:12 PM
They are not influencers but clowns on YouTube trying to do everything they can to get profits. Their only weapon is greed. The more greed people have, the less they think, so they do everything they try to stimulate your greed, and thus your thinking becomes less.

The most accurate post in this thread I've seen so far. I don't think they are influencers! They want a commission from users signing up and investing, and at the same time, they are making money from a few more sources. They are making money by advertising the product and from views. All they care about is money. Even they promote Ponzi schemes knowing that their followers will lose money. They turn off the comment of their video if people start to complain.

Quote
To fight them, you must educate yourself by looking for the correct sources of information and reading books, and then you can easily distinguish between these clowns.

You can't fight them. Ignoring them is not a fight. You can ignore them because you know what they are doing. But newcomers always want to learn about Tech, Crypto, Bitcoin, etc. Unluckily, those clowns always get the first page of the search result. They will exist until the end of the world. Just make sure your people don't hear them.
250  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I still believe I am on the right path on: April 19, 2023, 05:00:52 PM
Many people are still constantly questioning their faith in investing their money in Bitcoin and accepting other cryptos to get rich faster.
The problem is can't wait to get a rich attitude. People want to invest in pumps and dumps. People want to get rich as fast as they can. So, they buy shitcoins and wait for miracles as Doge and Shiba Inu things happen. Look, there are hundreds of Shitcoins; these things happen occasionally. You don't know which coin will give you 100x. Whoever is Questioning faith in investing in Bitcoin, they don't know about it. They see Bitcoin as like other Cryptos.

Quote
Bitcoin may be technologically outdated, but the core value and original meaning of an inflation-resistant currency is the most important factor for us to believe.
Bitcoin is never outdated. Developers are constantly working on new BIPs. Can you please mention what features another crypto offer you that Bitcoin doesn't (Technically)?
251  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where can I buy bitcoin as a newbie? on: April 19, 2023, 01:20:19 PM
I suggest newbies to visit bitcoin.com and buy any cryptocurrency.
What?

Again you changed from Bitcoin to any cryptocurrency. Confusing again.

tranthidung, Please stop paying attention. This guy has another alt account (I assume) named JamesBorn. Both accounts are from Nigeria. JamesBorn was caught doing plagiarism. Both accounts create threads full of fairy tales (Most of them are sob stories) and leave the thread without any answer. People ask them many questions, and some users want to help them but guess what.

They never return to their thread to check what's going on there. JamesBorn created 62 threads out of his 100 Posts, while Godlovesyou created 49 threads out of his 81 posts. He doesn't even know what he is writing. You have more important things to do (I liked the hidden page list). Stop wasting your time responding to those spammers.

I know my old password was leaked in a mass password leak from a password manager the other year. So, they probably logged into my account without needing to change my password.

It's not so smart not to change the password even though you knew that the password was leaked over a year ago. Who does that on this earth? Of course, this is your fault. Imagine if anyone has some confidential data from your other accounts. They can use it for their purposes. You could be in trouble for your laziness.

Anyways, If someone hacked your account and logged in the last 30 days, You can find their IP address here https://bitcointalk.org/myips.php. I don't know you. But, If forum members Vouch for you and you can get attention from one of the Admins or Global Moderators, You might get a chance. I believe they can verify the claims. Good luck!

255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Indian Premier League #IPL on: April 18, 2023, 01:53:04 PM
@John Abraham it was an entertaining match, and on pitches like these the bowler's can't do much hence no point in faulting them because they did try their best but it just wasn't enough. Also I felt that RCB could go on to win it, but in the end they felt short by just 8 runs however I'm not upset because as a fan I got all the entertainment that I had wished for.

Yeah, That's what I was talking about. You can't do much as a bowler on such Batting friendly pitch. So, You shouldn't blame bowlers for not performing well. IPL Pitches are made batting-friendly to attract crowds so they can enjoy high-scoring matches. Chennai Super Kings scores 53 runs from the first six overs and loses one wicket. But Royal Challengers Bangalore scores 75 Runs by losing two wickets in the first Six Overs. It was looking good for them.

Royal Challengers Bangalore could chase this runs easily if one of them (faf du plessis or Maxwell) were able to stuck around. Wayne Parnell wasted five balls which was enough for RCB to hit two boundaries to win the match. Anyways, Good luck to them. I hope they will come back stronger.
256  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How Did You Learn? on: April 18, 2023, 01:34:44 PM
It's been many years since I have been in Bitcoin. Yet, there are a lot of things I don't know. Don't force yourself to learn everything. You don't have to learn everything about Bitcoin or Other Cryptocurrency to invest in it. First of all, Choose a small number of crypto currency that has some name in the market. If you want to play with pump and dump coins, that's a whole different things. I won't suggest pump and dump coins to anyone who is still learning.

Spend your time on forum. Watch speculations and technical analysis from others. try to understand what are they talking about. Ask question if you don't understand what are they talking about. You are most likely to get answers from them. If you choose blogs or youtube videos and make comments there, I don't know if you will get any answers from them. The chance is very low.

If you force yourself to learn everything in a short time. You could mess up with everything.

Isn't it forbidden to post AI-Generated content? I thought it was not allowed. But as long as it's already mentioned in each post that the Post is AI generated with a source, It should be fine. But, You should talk with one of the Admins/Global Mods before you start. I read the purposes, and it seems reasonable to me. It will reply to low-quality topics only and report them if it's spam or a scam attempts. That's great.

Now I am afraid of AI's. It's going to takeover us. Once Elon Musk said AI is far more Dangerous than you think. No one hears me. People will regret doing this.

It's not a forum related topic.

I don't understand your comment?

I understand his comment. He asking why this topic is in Meta? Shouldn't it fit better in Project development? IDK. Maybe Project development is for Bitcoin related Projects only.
258  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Indian Premier League #IPL on: April 18, 2023, 01:02:05 PM
Royal Challengers Bangalore batted very well in the match but due to poor performance in bowling Chennai Super Kings managed to score so many runs. If Chennai Super Kings team batsmen could have taken good wickets early then there would not have been so many runs in the match. But Chennai Super Kings team batsmen like  Played well in batting as well as good performance in bowling to win the match very easily. The game saw a lot of hard fighting between the two teams.

You can't blame bowlers, especially if you are playing on batting friendly pitch. If you tell Royal Challengers Bangalore's bowlers were poor with their performance, you should also tell the same thing for Chennai Super Kings bowlers. Look at the difference. It's only eight runs. All credit goes to both team batters! Siraj Bowled well from the Chennai side. On the other side, Tushar Deshpande, took three wickets even though he conceded 45 runs.

Cricket lovers like to watch high scoring matches like this. Conway, Rahane, Dube smashed RCB bowlers and they were helpless. du plessis and Glenn Maxwell tried their best they were unable to say till the end. The result could be different if one of them could stick around.

I wonder how many people still fall for those types of scams nowadays? Without a doubt, it must be bringing in some sort of income for them otherwise they would have disappeared. The medium changed from emails to instant messenger and scammers still attempt it trying to stay one step ahead of the curve.

I assume the Number is not tiny at all. Suppose you see a scam method working for a long time. That means it has a higher success rate. They must make good money out of it. They target crypto users, Gamblers and traders. Most people are smart now. But, every day, crypto users are increasing and new people are joining. They might never see such an offer before, and they might think it's real. It's easy for newbies to fall into these type of scams. Scammers updating their communication script so they can manipulate their targets.
260  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I love Bitcoin on: April 17, 2023, 01:15:22 AM
At first people hate it or stay hesitant to invest into bitcoine. Over days scenario used to change, because the real-time experience only can give the best understanding and gives an opportunity to know well about it.

I won't say people hated Bitcoin. The early adopters have a better understanding of Bitcoin Technology. They knew how it worked. They had to run nodes to use Bitcoin. People understood the concept of Bitcoin, which is why they were convinced to use it. Would you believe a random guy on the internet forum to use his technology which is a currency? Well, The early adopters did. They trusted Satoshi not because he convinced them. They tried to understand the concept of Bitcoin and its technology and started using it.

In current days, You don't have to understand how Bitcoin works. You don't have to run a node. All you need is to download wallet software and create a wallet, and you are ready to go. But yeah, Governments and banks Hate Bitcoin. You know why they hate it.
