241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: mining EFFECIENTLY with GPU ??... on: January 10, 2021, 10:07:54 PM
Hi guys,

am mining with nicrehash on my 1080 Ti, do i need to make any changes to the CPU Core or Maximum power draw as i was told by some people to reduce the core -60%, is that necessary and why ?...

plz note i overclocked the GPU (stably) by around 900 MHz extra...

thanks,
So I'm guessing you are mining with CPU as well? The reason why you are advice to drop the core is because of disturbance that will happen between the CPU and the GPU if you are mining at full power of the CPU, the GPU still need a processing power from the CPU to assists the GPU to reach it's highest potential

no CPU mining, just GPU, am mining also with nicehash, when it mines ETH i cant get past that 36-40 Mhashes on my 1080 Ti, i thought this card can do 50  ETH ! spite being liquid cooled and really running cool ! not sure why !...

hi guys,

am new to mining with ETH, what pools do you recommend with minimum BS and user friendly ? Smiley

thanks,
243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: mining EFFECIENTLY with GPU ??... on: January 06, 2021, 05:48:51 PM
I used to have some 1080tis in 2017, as if I remember well, you can overclock memory the maximum you can, I think +900Mhz is good enough
Reduce Power Limit, you can use MSI Afterburner, and reduce to 60%, your card will be more efficient, less power, less heat, more profits for you

This is the link to the newest MSI Afterburner: https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/msi-afterburner-beta-download.html

It's not necessary to change Core clock, it doesn't make difference

Just remember to use a recent miner with tweaks enabled to have a better hashrate ( used to be ETH enlargement pill, but now miners already have included this tweak)

thanks a bunch !...

i reduced the power target to 70% only, and core by -200 MHz to 1500~ MHz, but the question is that fine when mining with NICEHASH ??!...

thanks,

245  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: satoshi byte fees ??? on: January 06, 2021, 03:35:43 PM
Take a look at a website like https://mempool.space/ which also shows the fee in satoshi / (v)Byte
If you want the tx get confirmed in a matter of minutes, probably around 90-100 sat/vbyte would do.
If you can wait, pay less.

I'm not sure what you don't understand, since that price bar your have there is basically telling the same.

I was asking:
how to translate this to actual fees so i can pick what appropriate to me ?...

so 90 sat/bytes = how much in terms of BTC ?...

so i guess:

80 sat/Bytes = ($3.89)

Huh
246  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / satoshi byte fees ??? on: January 06, 2021, 03:27:33 PM
hi guys,

am on my exchange trying to transfer BTC from their cold storage wallet to their trading wallet to be able to trade with and sell,

its only: 0.012873

however they are saying i can specify the fees in Satoshi/Bytes
https://ibb.co/NTbqmqJ

how to translate this to actual fees so i can pick what appropriate to me ?...

thanks,
247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / looking to build a mining rig right now... on: December 31, 2020, 08:54:07 PM
hi guys

am looking to build my first rig right away, what is the best card first of all to go with at this point of time ?

no chance i can find any 3080's so ill have to stick with the older cards, how does it sound having multiple 5700 xt cards (maybe 7) ?...

what board mainly will i need ? and PSU for this many cards ?

the 5700 xt sells 600$ each over here ?

any finally my favorite mining app is nicehash (plz dont laugh) is that capable of mininf with 7x GPUs ?

any thing i need to be aware of ?...

thanks,
248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: mining with multiple cards on nicehash, on: December 31, 2020, 07:50:50 AM
thanks to all of you guys, and am sure SLI is not needed for multi GPU setup for nicehash !...

they will be hot in your pc case. if you open cover will be good heating the room Smiley but if they plugged too close to each other they will be hot.

actually i was gonna ask that !...

my rig consist of a single swiftech MCP650 pump (maximum speed) 1x 200mm RAD, 1x 240mm RAD, 1x 120mm RAD, CPU Block, and 3x 1080 Ti, is the pump capable and effecient for such a setup ?!...

thanks,

maybe

first  clock the cards to 60%

and check temps.

I have hybrid 1080tis that cool fine with 1x 120mm radiator.  but the rigs are open face so 4 cards set to 170 watts each work fine and do around 42mh each

clock the cards to -60% less core ?!? wont that mean less hashrate ?!?...

what about increasing the Memory Clock, is that fine ??...

250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / mining with multiple cards on nicehash, on: December 29, 2020, 05:09:51 PM
hi

my questions consist of two parts:-

1) can i have a mix of 2x EVGA 1080 Ti(s) and a single Gigabyte 1080 Ti (all cards watercooled) on the same system ?...

2) can nicehash mine with three 1080 Ti(s) ?...

is 1250 PSU enough ?

thanks,,,
251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best cards to purchase ATM for idle miner, on: November 10, 2020, 07:01:43 AM

not sure WHEN those will be available, are those better option that the 3090s ? when will they be available  ?...

Nvidia 3000 series are not for miners. At least the initial batch.

3080 heating issues

3070 not great performance

3090 way overpriced

so we'd better wait for the upcoming ATI cards ??...
252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best cards to purchase ATM for idle miner, on: November 08, 2020, 05:29:04 PM
hello,

i started mining since 14 Sep with nicehash using my liquid cooled and just recently OC'd 1080 Ti, i got 86 $ with 24/7 mining,

i need to upgrade to something more reliable (both software and hardware), my electricity is currently free but soon 0.1 kWh,

so should i get the 3080s, 3090s or 3070s ??

and should i keep using nicehash or anything out there more profitable ?...

any point from mining with 4x 6 cores 12 threads from intel ??...

thanks,

the intel is pretty worthless.

if you can find a 3080 for 700-800 it is a decent deal.

not sure WHEN those will be available, are those better option that the 3090s ? when will they be available  ?...

3090is 1499 i think pick 2x 3080 is better choose 699x2

i guess you are right, but the one am using is the 1080 Ti Waterforce, its the best in the market and doesnt go over 55c, so i like my card watercooled, sells for 400$-500$ on ebay, any idea when the 3080 or 3090 gonna be available and where to buy ?!...

thanks,
255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 3080s for mining... on: September 28, 2020, 08:51:18 PM
guys am the thread opener here, what do you think about keep mining with 1080 Ti, those are really cheap right now, half the price of a 3080, or should i wait once the 3080/3090 is available again ?...

am mining with nicehash, what platform is most profitable ATM ?...

thanks,
256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 3080s for mining... on: September 26, 2020, 05:24:52 PM
so guys any feasible alternatives to the 3080 or RADEON VII at the moment ??... or should i wait for the 3090 ?...
257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / 3080s for mining... on: September 23, 2020, 04:25:47 PM
am thinking of getting 3x 3080s since they seem really profitable ATM with nicehash, is it the right move ? or can i get a better ROI with different setup ?...

power cost where is love is 0.096 KWH,

thanks,,,
258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: so what to do with USDT ?! on: May 08, 2020, 01:22:31 AM
There is some others way to do cash out. Binance is not one of those, yet.

Their P2P market still really young. If you want USD just buy again an use another service such, hodlhodl, Bisq, Paxful or regulated exchanges like Coinbase, Bistamp, Kraken, etc to get money straight to your bank account...

unfortunately most of those regulated exchanges r either not supported in my country or look really suspicious to me ! no need to get into details, but i cant even activate my account on bitstamp because my country is not listed there ! coinbase is NOT supported where i live, so am down to kraken now and i have a simple question, is working with them as simple as:-

- create account
- get it verified
- deposit funds in BTC (they call it XBT)
- sell my XBT for USD (NOT USDT)
- my money is USD will show up in my kraken account (real Fiat)
- I will withdraw it to my bank account in my own country of residence, or even hopefuly paypal.

plz clarify this to me,

thanks,
If kraken is suitable for your condition and your country of residence is not restricted to use it, then you can go with it. It's a regulated exchange, old player in the crypto markey, safe, and no complaints against it as far as i know. There always p2p option available in marketplaces like Paxful, localbitcoins, localcrypto...
If you can tell what is your country, you will get better suggestions from users here.

Am a resident of the UAE, kraken seems to allow trading from where i live, but am just wondering, if i sell say huge sum almost 1 BTC on their trading platform in exchange for fiat (mainly USD) will kraken honor the withdrawal of the fiat to my bank account in my country or scam me just like someone might suspect ?...

My second question how to go about this USDT i ended up with >! how to get FIAT in exchange for it ?? Binance P2P wont buy ur USDT in small amounts, they need at least 1000 to exchange to USD  Angry
