Just discard coins with premine.
Premine is not always a bad thing. But this onyx shit was fucking obvious. His premine seems small but would actually take so fucking long to mine considering block reward and pow length. People called it out in the thread and it is simple math to figure out that onyxcoin was pure shit and the premine structure screams scam. |

Really seems like a good coin so far. Wallet is different and works flawlessly. No issues with mining or anything.
I am having a hard time wondering why this coin is not getting as much attention. I suppose it's alright as the network rate is such to where even small miners are getting nice chunks.
Perhaps it is the name and catchphrase...which do come off a little lame.
I hope things pick up even more. Seemingly good dev and coin. GoGo BoomCoin!

Whatever this coin is...this thread if full of fucking whiners. It would literally cost you .02 btc to have 250mh/s on this coin for a few hours and you fucks cry about not being able to keep up with rentals. You think you are competing with whales that have 1000's of btc on rental? YOU AREN'T. Second...the coin hitting an exchange is giving the coin an opportunity to grow or even function in the first place. OR we can go your route. No rentals...only tiny miners on coin. It doesn't hit an exchange from fear of it being delisted a month later and the coin never gets to place to expand it's user base at all. And the only people that have coins at all were those who decided to risk mining this for zero profit rather than just mine DarkCoin or some other x11 coin that you can sell. In summary, your argument isn't based on what is actually happening with the coin and hashrate and you think coins should not get a chance to distribute via exchanges because the coin will just die in a month anyway. could anyone summarise what's special about it?
were basic aspects ready at launch - wallet, blockexplorer, website, whitepaper and/or features, etc. - or is the [ANN] promise-heavy?
have the devs delivered on their promises?
Any hidden problems -
premines?
instamines?
well distributed? is there a rich list?
buggy code?
are these are hard core programmers, not "copy-paste" devs or middlemen? When bugs/fork challenge pop up, are they fixed quickly?
dev squabbles?
dev complacency?
missed deadlines?
any "proof of developer"? Is the entirte dev team anonymous -- and even if so, does it at least have a solid reputation here on bitcointalk?
How does the coin production/distribution setup provide insulation from the risk of massive miner/whale dumps? Is there an estimate out there of the max # of daily BTC trading volume that might be needed to absorb mined coins?
Anything to worry about?
When is the next significant development update (code, screenshots and/or whitepaper/proof-of-concept or something else?) expected to come out?

payouts on http://sd.minerpools.com/ are not working! i have about 27k sdc stuck in there. i have 2k auto payout but it stopped paying out automatically today and now about 27k coins are stuck and even manual payouts now are not working. is it a scam pool or do you think that payouts will be fixed? a scam pool but they do seem to have alot of issues move to pool.mn imo |
