241  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler's family action. on: November 20, 2023, 06:51:08 PM
1. Dis the family of this young man went too extreme in trying to help stop their brother from gambling addiction or not?
it's extreme move from his family members, when he is selling properties and losing hard earned money gambling then anyone's family will try to stop him, but this family did really huge move, like sueing the owner.

2. Assuming you are this young man and you had to run to a distant location to carry out your gambling as you are allowed to gambling within your neighborhood and luckily you won huge sum of million dollars. Would you share that money with your loved ones who were barring you from gambling or you will just stay off from them and live new found wealthy live alone?
here, his family members are trying to save him, and he already may being know that they are doing this to save him.
I would not cut my family off because I would know that they care for me and want to save me.
242  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this a good advice? on: November 20, 2023, 06:41:56 PM
I keep seeing gamblers advising themselves that you are one step closer to winning the jackpot when you quit too early,  it's sad that they strongly believe this.

Is this true?
this is good advice if you won something and you kept playing more out of greed to win more, then surely you will lose that winnings and may if you lose control on your mind/emotions you will bust your account.
stopping gambling after winning or quitting gambling both are beneficial to player. but I will say quieting gambling is more beneficial then stopping gambling because stopping gambling will save you from upcoming loses.
but quieting gambling will save you money and time. if you play for fun then stopping after winning is good to not lose more.

1 year ago when I was earning money from PTC sites, there were lot of ads were of bc game so I regularly used to click on those ads and get paid on ptc site.
unfortunately one day google auto logged in, with different google account, And  I didn't deposited anything in that different account.
the software detected same ip with two different account then their system blocked me automatically. I am not too worried about my account got blocked but I am unhappy with them because They took my balance and blocked me, they didn't refunded my balance. many members may know how hard it is to earn something from paid to click sites. and they took my hard earned money.

246  Economy / Gambling discussion / [POLL] Are you in profit? on: November 19, 2023, 06:26:25 AM
This is a poll for the thread quoted below,
I have noticed some individuals claiming to be successful in gambling.
but, my personal experience with online gambling platform over the past 8 months has been consistently unprofitable
I haven't broken even or made any gains. I'm curious if anyone in our community has actually achieved profitability through gambling. If yes, we can calculate that how much percentage of us are profitable.
I know most of the people pay to win and deposit to recover previous losses.

It should have been a poll if you wanna know the stats.  For me, I'm not in profit. Reckless bets because of aiming too high. If I have to calculate my loss, it might not be a very huge loss to decide to quit already. Its still good to keep it going. I win today the next day I lose, its the cycle that I'm in.

Gamblers show off only the bets that they won but don't know how much was lost.

Right I forgotten about the poll, I added the poll now not need to make a sheet.
also it will be anonymous voting no one can know that they are in profit in gambling.
And discussion will be continued here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5474628.0

250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Streamer wins seem too good on: November 18, 2023, 03:06:02 PM
I seen people winning 100x, 500x even 1000x on different games.
but I am playing for almost 8 months and blown my account too many times, and to date I didn't won a single 500x.
recently a day ago, after wagering too much I won 112x which was so normal that my account remained somewhat in green. I didn't played in fun mode will try and see I win frequently or not.

streamers may get free money to wager without thinking too much, means more wagering = more chances to hit slots or win big payout.

I liked BCgame a lot but because of automatic google signup, I unwantedly created two account with same ip, because of this they banned my both account and kept my balance on the site.
Well, this is the kind of attitude from some gambling casinos that I honestly always consider to be very unfair, when a user creates two account under the same ip address, the management of the casino are supposed to understand that this type of thing can happen by mistake, and give the user the benefit of doubt by allowing him or her to keep playing, if eventually the user deposits money on both accounts and tries to cheat on the casino by manipulation of any form, then they can go ahead and ban the user.

Did  you even bother contacting their customer care concerning this issue, what did they say? Atleast, they should have given you back your money.

I asked via their email support, because until then I didn't known the reason for my ban, after waiting a day I got reply that I broken their terms by opening multiple account with same device.
I said it was a mistake because google auto signed up on another browser. but after waiting 1 more day they sent me long list of KYC.
I didn't had the information they had asked for like deposit id or something which I am able to get when I am logged in into the account by my account was banned so didn't able to log in.
some of the documents they had asked for are not available at the time.
252  Economy / Economics / Re: Imaginary Future on: November 18, 2023, 12:50:52 PM
Do you ever feel like that being after saving or investing for future you forget to live in the present? You don't buy the things you want to or don't go after experiences you want because you'd rather save/invest for future instead.

I do this a lot, I don't waste money on unwanted things like buying mineral water from store every time, we can satisfy our thirst by water available in our home.
my mindset is becoming like not saving a penny just investing which is risky because anytime anything can happen.
Now I am trying to save money because it is hard for me, for many people saving is hard because they waste it on unwanted things, but in my case It's hard save because I invest them in bitcoin or altcoins.

I also do like this most of the time, when I see something happening bad or user complaining about a site, then I just skip it.
Also if I seen too many red review/low star reviews of the site, then too I skip it. I play on very few sites with kyc done.
254  Other / Meta / Re: [COLLECTION] Members With Custom Titles And Badges! on: November 18, 2023, 11:22:11 AM
Interesting collection, but I have a few questions though.

Why is Peter Todd on the list? He isn't wearing a custom badge, and his profile looks the same as mine or any other Legendary member.
I wouldn't say that hilariousandco and mprep have custom titles. They are members of the forum staff, and all of them mention the positions they hold on the forum. So, you will come across, Staff, Moderator, Global Moderator, and Admin. They are either all special (custom) or none of them is.
Removed Peter Todd now, don't know how it got added just was a mistake.

What is unique about certain members is the color of the fifth coin (if they are Legendary). You will notice three different styles: yellow-blue, yellow-white, and yellow-green. I don't know if this is exclusive to the moderators or you have the option to change that color if you are a Donator/VIP.
lol, I added them because there are only two global moderators on the forum.
255  Other / Meta / Re: [COLLECTION] Members With Custom Titles And Badges! on: November 18, 2023, 08:50:13 AM
I missed the most important member of the forum: @satoshi,
I think he needs an unique badge then any other profile, like the shiny coins are different.

you missed this guy too MoparMiningLLC, I don't see him on the "collection", the user has a custom title.

also, I just want to inform you, in case you missed it, that the image for Corrosive on the Original post is currently showing "bitcointalk.org image proxy: invalid image"

added him/her too!
256  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: An easy approach to Bitcoin on: November 18, 2023, 05:20:58 AM
This cartoon video is awesome! It breaks down bitcoin for newbies so well.
But you know, most people, like around 90%, probably did not stick around for the entire video.
I have noticed a bunch of people who have no clue about economics, stocks, taxes, and all that.
It just seems like some folks are not curious enough to dive into new stuff and learn about it.

That was a mistake by me and after knowing about it I corrected my saying here
It was my typing mistake I was talking about bitcoin you can check further sentence, there I talked about "bitcoin, not "crypto".

OP's question is like the bitcoin will become world currency in a blip and everyone who don't know about crypto and is not very educated will lost their job and become unemployed.
But it's not very easy to replace fiat or banks with crypto, if in future the world or government will make bitcoin legal tender than centralized banks and crypto will work simultaneously.
banks will not going to shutdown anytime in the future.

260  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Start with the little you have, you don't need millions of dollars to own BTC. on: November 17, 2023, 05:36:51 PM
It's kind of like when you keep away a bit of money every month after taking care of your everyday expenses. The only difference is that the amount can go up or down with the the price of Bitcoin.
It's a bit similar to saving money in a regular bank, but in this case, we are putting our part of savings into bitcoin. If the price of Bitcoin goes up, we could end up with more money than we initially invested.
Starting small is better than not starting at all. this is called DCA strategy learn more about this here.
