241  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The blackRock Bitcoin ETF on: November 01, 2023, 08:59:18 AM
...would make it easier for investors to gain exposure to Bitcoin without them having the hassle of storing and buying Bitcoin. Do this make any sense?

Well, it is making a lot of sense, I guess otherwise nobody would be vigorously filing for an ETF in SEC...and there are many applications right now just waiting for the final approval. With an ETF one can participate with the growth of Bitcoin without directly owning one. Many experts are now saying that an ETF for Bitcoin can be the next big milestone for it and can push its price astronomically or should I say...to the MOON?

Oh yea, that's true because Bitcoin would have more exposure than it is now. Currently, everyone is just waiting for when will the ETF be approved. I wouldn't want to miss the trend as I am already buttling up with my smart trend
242  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Importance of emotion while trading on: October 25, 2023, 12:00:34 AM
There are many people who trade on BitcoinTalk forums. Those who trade must control their emotions. If not, you will have a huge loss in trading. Why emotion is needed while trading is as follows:

1. Profitability: Profitability in the crypto market is very dynamic and variable. Traders' emotions create interest and excitement about their profits.

2. Volatility: The crypto market is volatile, i.e. prices can change rapidly. Having emotion with this position can help traders as it is important to make timely diagnosis.

Here are some ways to control these emotions:

1. Don't expect much profit. For example: You think that you will become rich by investing in a coin.
2. After you have invested in a coin, you find that for some reason it has gone down in the market. At this time, without being emotional, you first look at the condition of the token, what condition it is in, and then take a decision with a cool head.
3. Avoid revisiting a coin after investing. You place a sell order with a specific target.
4. Trade according to market conditions. Don't immediately invest in someone's words.
5. Stay calm and try to control temporary emotions.

I believe this would also help others to learn. I wrote it few days ago out little experience I got while navigating into trading

243  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance is Rolling Out Copy Trading? on: October 24, 2023, 11:57:48 PM
did Binance just announce they're finally jumping on the copy trading feature? I mean, kudos to them for catching up, but seriously? Copy trading wasn't a thing on Binance before this? I genuinely thought Binance had this feature ages ago.
Yeah, it's just that Binance uses 3rd party services that are integrated directly into your Binance account. If you want to use the feature, you must first move your futures funds to that service.
Regarding the new futures feature you mean, I think Binance will launch their own and remove collaboration with 3rd party apps so you don't have to take funds out of your account anymore.

Oh yea, that was part of the reason I didn't really try copy trading on Binance. I use it on my other exchange that doesn't require a third party before trying out the copy-trading feature
244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Centralised exchange getting better than Decentralised exchange? on: October 24, 2023, 11:45:25 PM
Centralized exchanges are needed for trading, decentralized exchanges are needed for swap, where you use your wallet. It's safe and fast, but expensive. Centralized services are prone to scam and hot wallet attacks, decentralized exchanges are prone to vulnerabilities in smart contracts and rug pull scams in liquidity pools. I can't say any platform is better than the other as they both have their advantages and disadvantages. There is no perfect solution.

Actually, I think exchanges are venturing into swapping. Like the one I use Bitget has a swap for different tokens and also has a cold wallet. I don't really know much about other centralised exchange because I haven't researched deeply to know if other exchange supports it as well.
most of the exchange also offer swapping like you said like mexc and kucoin literally has a way to convert instantly without the need to make orders.
but of course they will take fee and even sending money to the exchange itself is already charging you fee so basically its the same thing.
the different as mentioned is that using cex, if one is trading their assets frequently, they could save a ton, if only ethereum blockchain or any blockchain thats popular like bitcoin are cheaper i think dex could become popular
but right now, people prefer to save money from fee, since its not some small amounts either.
I guess both would still thrive though for upcoming decades.

Yes, I think every cex differs in how they charge their fee. I haven't used the swapping yet but those who have said is quite easy to navigate especially when a token is about getting listed. Most times, it gets to be there first before the listing. I don't know if Kucoin does that too
245  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ETF $IBTC REMOVED IN DTCC WEBSITE!! MANIPULATION COMING OUT? on: October 24, 2023, 11:26:23 PM
JUST IN: The ticker for BlackRock's spot #Bitcoin    ETF, $IBTC, has just been removed from the DTCC website.

https://twitter.com/WhaleWire/status/1716837831413317965?t=EydGLZZcFp8A-mNL-rlweg&s=19

Another FUDs have started to emerge.

BTC's rise this time was full of drama and manipulation, first fake news ETF Blackrock then listing $iBTC on DTCC. Is this what whales do to manipulate BTC prices?

After the news (https://www.investing.com/news/cryptocurrency-news/blackrocks-spot-bitcoin-etf-now-listed-on-nasdaq-trade-clearing-firm--bloomberg-analyst-3206311) regarding $iBTC listing on DTCC BTC price was able to rise to the $35K range and penetrate MA200 which means switching to Bullish mode, will there be a fakeout and it will fall back into a bearish direction again?

My worry is that there will be many tricks like this that will continue to emerge and give rise to distrust.

Oh yeah, this is what they do. My first instincts came in when this fake ETF news surfaced on Twitter. Seeing the incredible move proves that these whales are ready to do anything to manipulate the market using ETF as their escape root.

Well, are we going to go out of the market? No! Because everyone would have gotten a strategy they did use to follow up on every trend. I have a few in some of my posts already
246  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Know When to Stop. Lesson for Everyone, Particularly Investors on: October 24, 2023, 11:21:30 PM
Knowing when to stop is also like knowing yourself more. Greedy people often do not achieve success but failure and that is a lesson learned that we must know how to deal with our emotions and much more about controlling our greed. Well, for newbies it seems not easy to know about it but for experienced traders or investors, we probably know when to stop.

 - stop if we already exceed our limits
 - stop if we feel uncomfortable and out of the plan
 - stop if we never understand that market situation
Just learn to stop when everything that is happening is not on your side. Even professional traders sometimes experience this kind of feeling, so they just take a pause and eventually come back in trading when they're not exhausted anymore. But no matter how often you take your breaks but still the same result is observed, I guess you need to change your strategies in trading. Develop a new one and then work on it. And if it's still not working, assess yourself if you can still bear your future losses because if not, change your plan and change your career. Sometimes we need to separate our habit and interest to our own career, if it's the only way that we can stop ourselves from experiencing the same failures and losses that already happen repetitively.

Very good point made. I just hope many more will see this. I have done this exercise severally and it has been helpful. I'm glad this post I made has also brought out so many people to share their perspectives hence others would learn from this
247  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin In Bullish or Bearish Trend? on: October 24, 2023, 11:10:27 PM
At the moment it's neither in a Bullish or Bearish Trend as the current gains we seeing from Bitcoin are a false positive that was caused by a rumour of the Bitcoin spot ETF being approved, but seems we still going with the flow as markets haven't backed down from this temporary momentum...but sooner or later I expect price to consolidate and reflect the real price of BTC. So if  you plan to buy try buy at a discounted price not a premium as price will retract before going up again.

So, what is your perspective: Do you believe we are currently in a bear market, or is this merely a manipulation to discourage some individuals from Bitcoin?

I would say its a bit of everything, though the manipulation stands out as this is what has lead to the bullishness after the fake news  Roll Eyes but it's good to see what to expect on e the approval comes in.

I agree with you. Though I got my dual investment ready to leverage the opportunity. We just hope this manipulation in Bitcoin will come to a minimal
248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Centralised exchange getting better than Decentralised exchange? on: October 24, 2023, 11:02:37 PM
For me centralized was better than decentralized at all times and never got below and if you look at the numbers that would support the idea as well. I think it should be noted that we are doing something that would be a lot better for the long term without a doubt.

The difference between the volume is staggering and has always been like that and never changed, it was like that during the bull run and it is like that during bear, it is always centralized that is used more. That alone should provide enough proof that people prefer that but if that's not enough then we could look at the hacked stuff, sure centralized places got hacked before there is no doubt about that but they are owned by people so you either get your money or they go to jail, so there is a response to it, whereas if it is a decentralized place with a malfunctioning code, they are going to get hacked too and there is nothing to be done. In both cases your money is gone, but at least in one of them people go to jail for it.

You've said it all. This is just the truth and is because is decentralised, any slightest hack couldn't be traced compared to centralised

250  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Common mistakes by unskilled traders on: October 22, 2023, 06:40:27 PM
Many newbie and crypto enthusiastic think trading is easy until they lose on the first day, 1 week,1month, 1year and they finally quit.
There are common mistakes they usually makes which are,

_ Not planing there trades: there is a popular saying that he who fail too plan, plan to fail.
Before entering a trade, an entry point and exit point must be spotted if you want to succeed.

_ Don't make emotional driven decisions: Emotions like fear and greed can cloud our sense of reasoning and leads to impulsive action, just stay calm and stick to your plan.

_ Not managing risk properly: this protect your capital, by using stop loss other, It minimize potential losses.

_ Not doing enough research: knowledge is key in trading , knowing the craft is very important, take your time to study the market, analyse chart pattern, and stay updated to news that can impact your trade.

Remember trading requires not just strategy, but discipline

Literally wrote something about this. I think it will help new investors and traders along the line. Some new traders tend to rush trade just to avoid missing the trend

251  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What Reward for a Trading Mentor on: October 22, 2023, 06:20:42 PM
I have a fair knowledge about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. I can hold down a good conversation in it however when it comes to trading, I have come to the point where I need to up my game. After using a mock trading app for some time, I stopped and tried the live environment. I lost money. Since then I have done some trading again. I feel I need to get back in the game. Right now I am coming in with a different strategy which is a mentor. Yes, I need a mentor in this renewed trading journey who would teach me the practical aspect of it. Because any of us can easily quote the theoretical knowledge of trading.
What is the best reward for mentorship? How do you think I should reward the mentor when I have one? And how often should this be?

If you guys can give me some ideas, it will help me to take charge of the conversation when I meet with the potential mentor.

Thanks.

Meeting potential mentors is hard to come across these days because some claim what they're not. Honestly, I understand this feeling. At some point, I started using copy trading to fill up the space of my earning while I learn. You could find a mentor but I scaled through learning from those who are better than I'm, and joined a small group of good traders as well. I wish you luck in finding a mentor
252  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: App for crypto indicators on: October 22, 2023, 05:46:38 PM
I try to find some apps for indicators. To alert me when indicators for some coin reach some value but I could not find any apps for that so I am trying to create one.

Here is the app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kec.crypto.alert.indicator

I just start working on it there are tons of stuff that needs to be added so every suggestion is welcome.

For now, I just add RSI and MACD signals(that are the main signals that I am using for trading) and maybe MACD can be updated to work in multiple ways. If anyone has some suggestions I am open Smiley

I am thinking to add a third signal but not sure which one. Thinking about Bollinger bands.

So what do you think?

I thought exchanges have this. How do get alerts from my exchange though when I set a particular range for my entry. And yeah these other indicators are also good you can try them out
253  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin kwoledge is not complete without bitcoin investment on: October 22, 2023, 05:37:29 PM
I am not suppose to say this here but i want forum members to advice and tell me on how I can go with my bitcoin journey as a newbie and become successful in it without losing my bitcoin. My Dad is late and he left us a building which I and my siblings inherited. I rented my own apartment because I stay in a more civilized area. Whenever my tenant pays me my rent, I just keep the money in the bank and sometimes it stays there for more than six months in my account because I have a job that takes care of my responsibilities. This year when I joined this forum, after reading through topics and comments from forum users on bitcoin investment, I said to myself that it will be wise if i give bitcoin investment a trial and see how it will feel like holding a bitcoin.

Last week Monday, I recieved my rent, but guess what I was scared of investing it on bitcoin because I was having so many thoughts in my head telling me to invest and not to invest. I continued with my forum activities and kept on reading, at a point, I got to realize that what will I gain, if I have the knowledge of bitcoin and I don't invest in it to have the experience on using bitcoin and to also have the experience of holding in long term, so that i can talk about bitcoin from experience. This means that it is important for me to buy bitcoin to acquire more knowledge, and this will be an advantage for me  to buy bitcoin now that the price is dip, before it pumps back. Yesterday, I used 60% of the money my tenant paid me to buy bitcoin and I was relieved and happy. I have also created an electrum wallet which I have transfered my coins into, the reason why I chose electrum wallet because it is noncustodial with RBF and Ligthening Network features, which can allow you to double spend, incase the network is congested and your transaction fee is low, since sometimes bitcoin blockchain used to be congested with dust transactions.

I intend to hold by bitcoin for long, because I just started my bitcoin journey and, I know that it isn't going to be an easy one for a newbie like me. I will use 10% of my income to DCA every month, because I also noticed that fiat currency is depreciating due to inflation and that it is better that I save in bitcoin than to keep it in fiat. The moment my bitcoin reaches $1000, I will look on how to transfer my coins to a cold storage wallet for safety. I couldn't keep this to myself and I said let me bring this to the forum for advise from experienced members on precautions I need to take for me to achieve my bitcoin goal target.

If you haven't invested in bitcoin yet, you should try and do so, if you have the resources so that you can feel the vibes that am feeling right now.

Let's discuss.

It seems we both have similar reasons for investing in Bitcoin but slightly different. Mine all started in 2019 when I started looking up what Bitcoin is all about and how to get on the game. Because I really wanna live a happy life with no stress, things weren't that cool as of then because some people discouraged me that BTC could be another scam that pops out from nowhere and dupe people. Guess what? I invested anyway, and now look at me, glad that I did and even tend to use some other earning means mostly the products I find on Bitgeto support my ministry

All Im trying to say is, be calm and do it, follow your instincts. I promise you, you won't regret it

Which is the best crypto exchange for P2P transactions ?  I am looking for a good alternative to Binance P2P.

Have been using both Bitget and Binance. Both are good, haven't had any issues using any
255  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin EFT income reach BTC 100 thousand dollars? on: October 22, 2023, 05:24:25 PM

In the early days of September, well-known cryptocurrency expert Lark Davis commented that the approval of the spot Bitcoin ETF could increase the price by 350%. Matrixport, the cryptocurrency platform of Chinese billionaire Jihan Wu, compared Bitcoin to gold and predicted that the ETF approval would trigger a serious increase in value.

Is ETF Approval Already Priced in?

Analyst Joe Edwards from Enigma Securities stated that if ETF approval comes, this will only bring a short-term increase in value and then the Bitcoin price will fall. Edwards stated that the recent fake spot Bitcoin ETF approval news gives important clues about how the market will react in the event of a real approval.

Analysts at K33 Research are of the opinion that in the event of a real confirmation, there could be an increase much higher than the reaction seen after fake news. However, they added that they expect a serious decline if spot Bitcoin ETF applications are rejected.

Do you think it will really be 100 thousand dollars? What happens if it is?

To answer your question, I believe Bitcoin would reach $100k due to the hype of this ETF surrounding it. You know, to make people believe it was always worth it. Is just like when the fake news about Bitcoin ETF surfaced twitter, we all saw how the market went all up. Don't also forget, There would be a lot of manipulation too. Hence, the reason I use Dual Investment from time to time not to get caught up in all that happens in the market
256  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When Did You Meet Bitcoin? on: October 22, 2023, 05:18:37 PM
I was introduced to Bitcoin in 2014, a friend of mine told me about Bitcoin, believe me, it didn't sound like a smart thing to my ears, I wish I had listened to my friend, I would have bought it in 2014. Unfortunately, I got to know it late and decided to buy Bitcoin in 2021. When Did You Meet Bitcoin? how much was the price ?

I met Bitcoin in 2019 when Ethereum was trending then curiosity caught the cat. I saw people talking about BTC I was wondering what that was. Took my phone immediately and started searching for it
257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am 19 years old boy living in South korea. Please give me an advice on: October 22, 2023, 04:44:43 PM
After graduating high school, I saw bitcoin on youtube. At that time, it was about 60,000 dollar.
I had some research about Bitcoin. I specially watched videos of Michael Saylor. For me, he sounded very logical.
I checked the price, and I could see that Bitcoin is up 45950334.26% since 2009. I thought I am very late to start invest to Bitcoin, but many people said it is early. So.. I am really confused. I receive about $100 a month from my dad. I am planning to use them to buy some bitcoin.
Please give me an advice to be successful Bitcoin investor in the future.

Well, I won't say you're late or early. I knew about bitcoin when it was around $40k still yet I wasn't able to buy any as of then. At that point, I was still doing some little surveys that earned me LTC XRP and Doge but now I am proud that I have levelled up in owing some units of BTC and it feels like I'm early in having them. Why am saying this!

You're lucky to have an allowance of $100 monthly you can diversify your portfolio and get Bitcoin partly. Because, yes! You're still early to own a bitcoin now it hasn't reached up to $100k. I use different methods to help me out. Still, Dual Investment is my best

So good luck owning your own Bitcoin
258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think? Selling all or not on: October 22, 2023, 04:37:34 PM
Have seen a lot of threads talking about the bull market, and everyone making comments.
I don't think selling all bitcoin in the bull market is a good idea. Why? Knowing the fact that the next bull price will still come as bitcoin continues to grow, so I don't think selling all my bitcoin in the bull market is the best.
Everyone is holdle bitcoin in the bear market and planning to sell in the bull market, now, when finally, the bull market comes should I sell all my bitcoins and prepare to accumulate from afresh in the next bear market again? or should I keep some percentage to continue the accumulation?

That's why we have diversification. You see when I talk about using Dual Investment it also leads to this. I can buy BTC using the strategy when is low and sell when it gets high also in my other portfolio I have BTC stacked that I not selling. That's the beauty of all this bull and bear market. We earn why we still hold BTC firmly
259  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin is different from other means of investment on: October 22, 2023, 04:34:14 PM
Even though some people will argue that Bitcoin was not created primarily as a means of investment, it has become obvious that Bitcoin presents a good investment opportunity. Many people even use Bitcoin as a hedge against fiat is plagued by inflation. One aspect that have created much argument is real estate with many saying it is more reliable than Bitcoin that they claim is risky.

I know several threads have been made in this regards with most of them moribund. I created this post because I feel so bad regarding what happened in my country. As you can see in this post and the video in it, the state government demolished an entire estate with several buildings and properties inside. This is peoples investment that just got destroyed. This was a property approved by previous administration but demolished by new government...another risk many people do not put into consideration in real estate and some other physical investments.  This is a confirmation that Bitcoin is safer and better than many conventional investment portfolios.

Anyone still doubting the freedom, comfort and peace that Bitcoin offers is probably yet to embrace reality.

Estate business is also a good business and is true that Government tends to demolish an estate and claim the lamd is for the government. That happens a lot here in my country.

That's why Bitcoin is so different from this, it makes you the owner and also lead to a safer earning means as well either by participating different events like snowball or trade to add more to what you already have. You see that's one sweet thing about owning a Bitcoin and also doubling the money by adding more units to it.
260  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Know When to Stop. Lesson for Everyone, Particularly Investors on: October 22, 2023, 10:53:16 AM
Ok, why I said this relates to DCA is because Dual Investment allows investors to buy crypto assets at a lower price or sell at a higher price. No matter how the price moves, you can always earn interest at the settlement time. Actually, this is one of the Bitget products I use most times when markets fluctuate to earn from it
For DCA, I often used it last year and also this year when I wanted to buy cryptocurrency assets, but if you say there is a product from Bitget with a dual investment concept and it can be almost similar to DCA, I will also try it in the next few days when I have the opportunity to do just that. Because I still use old exchanges like Binance when I want to buy DCA without thinking about any products or other supporting features for such things because I consider my goal to be very simple.

Alright man! Just follow up the procedure and you will be good
