241  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is B2X already priced in? on: October 09, 2017, 02:16:57 PM
I think what we are seeing is pure FOMO where people are buying bitcoin purely to get their free segwit2z coins. Because the BCH fork went fine, they're treatin this as just another airdrop that they don't want to miss out on - even though this fork is very different, one chain aims to kill the other chain.

This is my fear. People are thinking it is like BCH, but at that time, there was replay protection, the addresses had different structure.

Now there's no replay protection, its the same addresses, hence its the same coin but on different chains. People will dump B2X in exchanges which support both coins and their BTC will de dumped altogether. Also coinbase will list it as BTC, and people will be buying B2X thinking its BTC.

Those who are not going to dump it will not lose their coins, but the price will be affected, as the massive dump of thousands of users will create a bear market and miners will lose money with it, as the difficulty will still be the same because theres no replay protection. Maybe the price will be even less than the costs for mining, which would affect China as well. Everbody will be affected, including the B2X guys, as their coin will be priced very low in relation to mining costs, turning their network slow.

Also there will be no lightning network, unless theres a complete change of POW where mining is turned irrelevant. B2X is a open attack on the network.

Exchanges should NOT list B2X as a separate coin until it have mandatory replay protection, as it happened with BCH.

So if they don't list it as a separate coin, what is the alternative? these scammers want to destroy the legacy chain. It must be measured in the market that B2X is refused and dumped into oblivion to crush the hopes of the forkers. Let's solve it in the market instead of the current nonsense of the hardforking corporations implying that everyone using Coinbase supports it. Let the market decide, otherwise Coinbase and co should be ready to face some serious lawsuits.
242  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How can we save Bitcoin from quantum computing? on: October 08, 2017, 03:34:46 PM
Bitcoin is not yet quantum resistant, but then again most encryption isn't yet. There are ways to make it quantum resistant, but it will require a hard fork. I think we have about another decade before we need to worry about any quantum computer being powerful enough and having enough qubits to be of any threat to bitcoin. So to answer your question we can readily save bitcoin form quantum computing closer to time of them being any kind of threat.

If a quantum computer breaks SHA256 (and this is sci-fi nowadays and will continue being the case for along time) then the entire baking system is geopardized.

All this "omg, quantum computer attack is coming" bullshit is just FUD from goldbugs, i've seen it a million times before. By the time we get anywhere near a realistic quantum attack, we can hardfork into another hashing algo, in fact we should have done this a while ago, the problem is we don't have yet a clear idea of what is the best move. Moving to any of the existing algos will just delay the inevitable again and will piss off all existing miners. It is a tricky situation, but in the risk of a quantum attack I guess we will finally reach common ground and all miners (except suicidal ones) will agree to change PoW algo. Hopefully by then we have some creative solution against ASIC centralization such as random PoW algo changes.
243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) ,IOTA(MIOTA)- is it good time for buy & long term Invesment -OCT-2017 on: October 08, 2017, 01:13:46 PM
NEM (XEM) coin looking very interesting to me .Coin rank shows 7 in coinmarketcap.com
Current market cap-1,907,490,000 & Volume -4,376,190

Please provide your suggestion . How is it good for buy and how long time need to hold this two coin

Im not sure about the details but i've seen IOTA being accused of being a scam by pretty smart people on the technical side so im not sure if you want to hold that one for the long term. I think the general hype in crypto things may make it pump on the next altcoin-wave/pump whenever that happens next.

Not sure on XEM so I will not comment on it. Just be very skeptical of alts in general and do due diligence.
244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 216: Ferguson vs Lee Info and Prediction Thread on: October 06, 2017, 12:47:03 PM
@Hydrogen. Kevin Lee will lose by submission. Look at the stats, Tony has 81% in takedown defense  and Kevin Lee has a tendency of making desperate takedown attempts when he sees his original game plan is not working. Tony could then submit him by means of the darce.

You can't never count Kevin Lee out. I think it will be a good match. Sure, Tony Ferguson is a beast and always the favorite, but Kevin Lee is an hungry young lion. He lost a year ago tho, while Ferguson didn't lost since 2013.

Anyway this card is a solid one for a change, so many mediocre cards lately in UFC. I want to see the winner of this fight Connor.
245  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN DUMP - CHINESE ARE OFFLOADING... on: October 05, 2017, 02:45:29 PM
Chink chank chunk, where is the dump? because we are doing pretty good. Right now we are on the right track to $5000. We didn't even test the $4000 dip that I expected. The price is primed for a pop. Any further news on people leaving the NYA nonsense will accelerate the rise. Im confident that yes, there will be a hardfork, but the legacy chain will win. I think we have enough hashrate for dumps to happen, and the exchanges not letting this feud be solved by the free market by listing both legacy and 2Xcoin better get their ass ready for an army of class actions.
246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NEO to $40 within 8th October on: October 05, 2017, 01:08:17 PM
Yes I'm calling it!
NEO at $40 within 8th October mostly because of Red Pulse ICO.

If NEO hits an all time high after being banned from China, it may be a good speculative move to buy further dips. I mean if a china based coin survives a china ban, then it shows it's pretty strong, but I would stay cautious, maybe that double top attempt is for whales to dump their last bags and say bye because they don't want any legal trouble holding a banned ICO, but this market is global after all... thought play. I should have bought this damn thing when it was cents (once again).
247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: My portofolio, thoughts and tips? on: October 04, 2017, 03:32:16 PM
Hi everyone,
I'm new here so if i posted in the wrong place please move my post.

I started buying cryptocurrencies 3 months ago, right at the wrong time, i know. I did have some bitcoin many years ago but that was during the mtgox period so lost it all and forgot about it.

I just want to have some comments and recommendations about the current portofolio that I have now. Please keep in mind that I'm actively using Bitcoin now so the amounts are not exact, but close. If I could use the other coins I would do too (and top up what I use of course) but the opportunities are just not there yet.

I would like to diversify into 1 other coin, looking at what I already have, what would you recommend?

I like to be 70% on Bitcoin and speculate with the rest. Remember that everytime that Bitcoin goes up altcoins crash pretty badly. There's always a random one that stays neutral or even pumps but that is irrelevant.

I would remove XRP only because it's not even a blockchain and I would add STRAT now that's pretty low at least looking at the historic price, it may be a good hold assuming devs don't sleep on more progress.
248  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin rise is over on: October 04, 2017, 02:40:10 PM
It could be the whales wanting to get in at a cheap price before LedgerX launches, which is an unknown and it may be as soon as this month, and im sure whales that are out have whale friends that are in and they want to get in at a discount. I expect a pump once whales start registering accoutns in LedgerX, Wall ST money may come this way.
249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The next Alt boom is set to launch after BTC fork on: October 04, 2017, 12:24:25 PM
What is the timeline for the next fork again?

I think we are going to have Bitcoin Gold on October 25th, followed by SegWit2xCoin in November, im not sure about the exact date but definitely somewhere along November, so get your Bitcoin Core ready to get the free coins and dump on these fuckers. Easiest money I've ever done. And the next boom are Bitcoin forks, I think we will see tons in 2018.
250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Stratis Rock Bottom on: October 03, 2017, 03:49:44 PM
Its chart looks like bitcoin's graph where it crashed from $1000 to 150-200 and I think it will be the same because only players change, game is still same.

But the market was less diluted back then, now you got tons of new projects everyday and it is becoming an act of insanity trying to keep track of all of it. For starters, STRAT has no competition with ETH, ARK, OMG, UBIQ, NEO, and a ton other "smart contract" things, and im still not sure what are the pros and cons of each one yet.

What could make STRAT pump if it's not deals with big brands? because that seems what all these smart contract coins are about, if they can't land big contracts they don't pump, and I doubt they will be able to bring technology new and gamechanging enough at this point.
251  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Can someone help plz on: October 03, 2017, 02:06:35 PM
Hi can someone help plz boost this transaction.

I will be really thankful to you..

https://blockchain.info/tx/13e0d698c852565061970e512bb55f2f231e3f1bdcd80ce2de5f38731f8e87ea

What wallet did you use to send the transaction? If you send a transaction with Bitcoin Core or any other client that supports RBF I think you can replace the fee with an higher fee to not have it stuck but im not sure since I've never used this feature. I've never had a problem transactions getting stuck using the recommended Bitcoin Core fee.
252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2X on: October 03, 2017, 12:55:06 AM
Everything is primed for success right now. We got economical-political turmoil where a neutral gobal asset like BTC, being the most liquid crypto, could benefit from.
We got big Wall St pockets interesting in getting in.
We got a pretty empty mempool right now.

This hardfork is so dumb and im going to be pissed if it kills the obvious recovery towards ATH. It is literally the only threat and it has to come from big blockers as usual.
253  Economy / Economics / Re: IS THERE ANY POSSIBILITY OF A PRICE REDUCTION FOR FUTURE BITCOIN on: September 23, 2017, 02:16:30 PM
Bitcoin approved and discovered in the world on 2009 and the first price is $0.

And this the history and bitcoin table when discovered in the world from 2009.[Using USD Rate 2017]
2009 [Discovered] - 1btc = $0  Huh
2010 - 1btc = $0.1 - $0.08  Cry
2011 - 1btc = $0.75  Angry
2012 - 1btc = $9.04  Angry
2013 - 1btc = $301.20  Angry
2014 - 1btc = $753.01  Sad
2015 - 1btc = $451.81  Angry
2016 - 1btc = $828.31  Roll Eyes
2017 - 1btc = $3664.25  Shocked

From this list we know bitcoin is not stable , frequently make increase and reduction on price.

Is there a possibility of a decline in the price of the bitcoin future , in doing so we must make a choice better invest a bitcoin or not ?  Shocked

The only thing that I see is an obvious and steady progress when I look at the yearly pricess.

2013 retraced compared to 2014 ATH wise because of the MtGox debacle . The next year of 2015 had a lot of other FUDdish news, and generally it took these 2 following years after the 2013 crash for the market to recover confidence of Bitcoin.

Of course, the moment I started learned about Bitcoin, I started buying every month, so I bought while the rest of people were bitching and moaning during 2013-2015, now im obviously up and I can take a lot of damage until I would see myself losing money, so in the case BTC enters a long term bear market you know what to do.
254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which ICOs/Coins would do X100-X1000 in 6-12 month on: September 23, 2017, 01:08:45 PM
You might as well go to a casino and at least get some real life entertainment. But if you still want to gamble with ICO's, try to find ones that get partnertships with big brands, pumpers love that. For example OmiseGo somehow tricked McDonalds into getting in on his team and the price pumped fucking nicely. Of course I wasn't holding any. I still don't know what the coin is about. I can't keep up with so many altcoins.

Remember to dump for BTC and get your gains when the opportunity presents itself tho. You don't want to be holding ICO issued tokens for too longs. Get your gains and call it a day.
255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Easiest Ethereum Wallet To Use? on: September 23, 2017, 12:47:43 PM
The last time I (almost) buy ethereum, I had to learn how to download a wallet for the thing in order to save the tokens safely on my computer and not on some exchange, and I ended up using Parity. The design is nice and it synced pretty fast. Too bad recently I saw there was some sort of glitch to it or some kind of exploit. Anyway I never ended up buying any ETH so im not worried. If they fixed it I would use it again.

The full Ethereum node simply sucks, you will never be able to download the damn chain.

I never looked into myethereumwallet but I guess thats another option, but for long term storage I wouldn't use that.
256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How are you hedging the upcoming Segwit2x fork? on: September 22, 2017, 10:38:36 PM
It is probably a baked in reality at this point the we will have 3 Bitcoins in a few months after BTC forks again into a Legacy BTC and 2x BTC. This fork is looking to be more tumultuous than the BCH fork and we don't even know the details of any upcoming fork yet.

How are you going to hedge this event? Buy LTC? ETH? XMR? DASH? maybe BCH?

I hate all this childish bickering, but we should all start to place our hedges.

You know the drill, dump the segwit2xcoin when the opportunity presents itself. This shit can't win, if it does im quitting bitcoin. If bitcoin can be coerced by bribing miners and exchangers with fiat money what's the fucking point? it's over. I guess I would just stick around in case someone comes up with a true bitcoin killer that can't resist vector attacks such as segwit2x and any other hardforks of similar nature. I would need a strong bitcoin to buy that tho, so lets hope the price doesn't go to hell.

I think segwit2x will end up like BCash. If bitcoin's immune system is strong it should get rid of it.
257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The advantages of bitcoin on: September 22, 2017, 10:21:46 PM
The ultimate advantage is that no matter how many times a government bans bitcoin, if you hold your private keys, you are going to hold your BTC and nobody can take it away from you. They can crash the price, but 1BTC = 1BTC. And after every government bans it, it would eventually recover due OTC market continuing no matter what, and the price would be listed in decentralized exchanges to keep track of it.
258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Theory: Satoshi Nakamoto is DPR (Ross Ulbricht silkroad founder) on: September 22, 2017, 05:23:14 PM
Today I was reading some theories about who is Satoshi Nakamoto, and it came to me, that DPR (Ross Ulbricht, founder of Silkroad) is Satoshi Nakamoto

Most people can agree that Satoshi:
* is American
* is a skilled programmer
* knows a lot about cryptography and economics

Guess what, DPR studied economics extensively in college, and we all know DPR can code and have a keen interest in cryptography.

The biggest hint is the perfectly lined up timeline:
The last time Satoshi was involved in Bitcoin was around January 2011, Silkroad launched in February 2011. So if DPR was Satoshi, this would explain why Satoshi suddenly backed off from the Bitcoin development, he was too busy developing and running Silkroad!

Then I digged a little more and found:
DPR moved 1000 BTC that was mined in January 2009, which can only belong to Satoshi or Hal Finney. We know Hal Finney isn't DPR, so there's only one possibility left.

Also this would explain why after DPR was arrested, Satoshi's Bitcoins were never sold or moved, Satoshi himself never showed up anywhere. Because DPR lost his freedom and is rotting in a prison cell.

DPR (Ross Ulbricht) is Satoshi Nakamoto, he was arrested and sentenced to life in prison not just for running Silkroad, it is for something much more.

Cool theory. In my view, he must be someone that is either in jail for life, or is dead, and ((they)) know for a fact that this is the case, otherwise they would have not appointed the Satoshi sockpuppet Craig Wright to try to influence the masses into thinking he is the real Satoshi. Why would anyone play the role of Satoshi unless he knew the real Satoshi wasn't going to show up and leave you looking like the biggest idiot on earth?

So like I said, Satoshi is in jail or dead, pick one.
259  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jamie Dimon targetting Dip? makes another fraud comment on bitcoin on: September 22, 2017, 03:07:19 PM
After his viral harsh comment on bitcoin, calling it a fraud, jamie dimon in a fresh interview on CNBC Tv, made another comment on bitcoin, where he stated..

It's creating something out of nothing that to me is worth nothing," he said. "It will end badly

Jamie said that the governments will crack down on cryptocurrencies if they happen to grow too large, whereas forgetting that some countries like switzerland government see the cryptocurrency as a new modern financial resolution.

Here we go again. You can watch the interview here:

https://www.cnbc.com/2017/09/22/bitcoin-jpmorgans-jamie-dimon-lays-into-bitcoin-again.html

It's clear that he wants a "digital dollar", aka a closed source coin that the government can control, and they can only see the code. The war on bitcoin has not even begun. Once it starts getting too big they will attack at full force, and if they don't it means it's not disruptive enough. Anyone that thought this was going to be a smooth ride is delusional. Get ready for ups and downs and get ready to hodl.
260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: OmiseGo ( OMG ) - falling down - good entry point on: September 22, 2017, 02:38:07 PM
Looks like Vitalik Buterin is dumping all of his OmiseGo shares. This is what happens when someone has too much media power in crypto. They invest in the project, then they think it's to dump, they dump, then they make the news, short it, make even more money... it's a mess. The money skeleton has betrayed you again. Looks like not even all of these big brands can't keep this thing from dumping.
