unfortunately we cannot give you any specific answer at the moment as we ourselves  are waiting for final comment from the Ministry of Finance on whether E-Money companies such as WC would be exempt from reporting. We hope it will happen quite soon and we will be able to clarify it for you as well.

244  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: February 05, 2017, 03:11:35 AM

I am only speaking from my cases. Usually my blockchain wallet, google conversion and coindesk.com rate differ by less then 0.5%. When I load my card I always get 5% less then the amount calculated by those exchange rates. I gave you exact numbers based on 200$ load in my last post.

even the fact that your 5% doesn't match the other users' "cases" speaks for itself. Do you think you are "charged" more than any/everyone else?

246  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: February 05, 2017, 03:07:01 AM
gosha fact is you take ~5% fees to load a card nothing complex here really

this is simply not true and definitely not a fact.
247  Economy / Exchanges / Re: 2017 Bitcoin Debit Card Reviews on: February 05, 2017, 03:04:46 AM
Hi does wirex card allows to verify paypal ?does wirex needs any ID?

1) yes
2) depends on what you want of it. You can use unverified card to load with Bitcoins up to the total limit of $2.500. If you want higher limits and/or additional funding options (paypal, bank transfer, etc), you need to verify the account
248  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Be careful! E-Coin/WirexApp may be turning to a scam on: February 05, 2017, 03:03:23 AM

249  Economy / Exchanges / Re: 2017 Bitcoin Debit Card Reviews on: February 04, 2017, 12:03:39 AM
Can you explain what "branded" means? Does it mean an individual can order a card featuring a custom photo in the background?

I hope it does, I want a card with a "shut up and take my Bitcoin" photo...

Branded means for example to have the name of the website you bought it like wirex , etc ...

Otherwise you take just a card from their bank issuer ...

correct.
in pure theory, it is possible to have your own branded card, but there would be a minimum order of a few thousand cards. At least, for now..

I HAVE 280 EUR BLOCKED IN MY CARD all my documents
were rejected again and again and again by E-coin NEVER LINK YOUR E-COIN CARD WITH PAYPAL

E-Coin Is SCAMM Confirmed

HEY i highly recommend you if you already have e-coin card (visa and master card) to link it with my choice then submit your document for verification
https://cardholderonline.com/wap/

otherwise your documents will be rejected by e-coin

i received this e-mail today Documents were rejected due to: Proof of identity - Match on public sanction list. Proof of address - Match on public sanction list..

for mychoice website my visa card is active with $ 0 balance  for e-coin the card is blocked by the bank

-----------

when the bank block the card they show you your old balance but the money is not in the card

who is the scammer NOWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BEWARE!

this is the most ridiculous conclusion.
E-Coin CANNOT and DOES NOT verify your documents, verification is done by the bank (MyChoice), we only pass their message back to you.
Please, educate yourself before making strong statements misleading others.
251  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: February 03, 2017, 11:58:47 PM
Why do you guy use worse exchange rate in your wallet than other wallets and other than what your site shows?

For instance I sent 197$ worth of btc from my blockchain wallet and in my ecoin account it is only worth 191$ and if I try to load the card it's worth something around 189$. Live rate at e-coin.io shows it's worth 197$ now. So basicaly I am losing 4-5% of my money when loading the card.

Is this your fee or?

Yes, they are playing with an exchange rate. Actually they are one of the most expensive ways to withdraw bitcoin. I have made a comparison last week:

XapoWirexCryptopaySpectrocoinUquidAdvcash
USD for 1 BTC911.38889.62883.85906.7907.59898.33
Margin from Bitstamp rate0.61%2.99%3.61%1.12%1.03%2.04%
Price and maintance of physical card for one year (in USD)2029272128.9914.99
Loading fee0%0%1%0%1%1USD
Final amount for 1 BTC (in USD)891.38860.62848.01885.70874.06882.34

The Bitstamp rate was 917.00 at the time of calculation.

So I would recommend you to use xapo or spectrocoin as it seems they have much better rate and fees structure

did you do your analysis in real time exactly at the same moment?

BTC exchange rate is a lot more complex than just looking at Bitstamp website. Firstly, not everyone works via Bitstamp, we don't, for example. Secondly, rates differ between different exchanges. Thirdly, when more volatile than usual, those differences in rates between various exchanges become even bigger.
So, really have to look into your methodology, but the conclusion of 4-5% being "lost" is grossly overestimated, that's certain

By the way, i would like to ask how much amount for the single card reach the maximum limit if i transfer money from paypal to my VCC?
Thanks.

253  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: January 30, 2017, 11:41:42 AM
Well, thank you very much for your replies.
Seems that is one of the best options you have to cash out some of your bitcoins. an of course all the alts you may have.
Very good card to have when you are going to travel to many different countries. i don't know yet the rate on conversion etc but i will search their website i think i will find the answer on that.

the rate of conversion, if you use the card in a different currency, is the Visa/MasterCard official rate (can be found on their websites)) +3% charged by Visa/MasterCard and issuing bank
254  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: January 30, 2017, 11:39:03 AM
Why is UK ATM limited to only £160 per transaction?

That's the limit for unverified accounts, indeed. It's not us who sets them, but regulators.

If you get the account verified, this will increase to £800 per transaction (£1,600 per day) with no monthly/yearly/lifetime limit

I got my issue resolve only after you noticing that I will complain on public forums and that states alot. You should work into fixing these issues of getting "Not enough funds" for 2 hours when trying to send a payment and randomly fixing itself later and making support ACTUALLY RESPOND when they are assigned to a case, not stay quiet for days only to get a response when I pm you Gosha on Bitcointalk Smiley You have a great platform, not gonna say otherwise, just please fix the transactions issues so noone else has to wait days before having their transaction complete.

TL;DR my issue is resolved.

working on it. things are improving and will improve further. Shouting "scam" on every corner doesn't help though, let's all do our best to respect each other.

Thank you for confirming, hope all goes smoothly now.
259  Local / Бизнес / Re: Биткоин дебит карта on: January 28, 2017, 09:02:49 PM

https://www.mastercard.us/en-us/consumers/get-support/convert-currency.html

Does Wirex selectively scam people? I have a transaction pending for over 2 days, had an agent assigned to my tickets made, but they never responded.

seriously, mate?) "selectively scam"?? We've been around for too long and developed the service way further than competition - why bother if not aiming for long term?? Come on, get real Smiley

the word "scam" is really overused here! Yes, there are issues, like with any service growing fast and offering new features all the time, but none of the issues is left unresolved. Please, look at the facts, not emotions and don't add to the group paranoia..

Please, check the reply from support and see if the issue is closed. If not
