Ahem, unless the browser only replaces the address when the amount is large enough, only when it is being used for the seonc time in N minutes...

Why would you copy the address from the browser again if you just had a successful bitcoin transaction?

Anyway, this address replacing issue is a much bigger problem than for just the Trezor, and that's why the payment protocol was created. I'm not sure if it's supported yet by the Trezor, but it's in the works at least.

Why are people reusing addresses anyways? Do you like to reduce anonymity for yourself and the people you transact with?

apparently they aren't interested in selling hardware anymore?

back to the good old days of average slush luck = exceptionally good

today we have btcguild with twice our hashrate and slush with twice their blocks

Got my Trezor today. Grin

I have successfully set up the multi-passphrase encryption structure.

It appears that every time that I access the Trezor, I have an opportunity to create a new hidden volume.  Out of curiosity, is there a limit to the number of volumes?  If I reach the limit, how will the Trezor behave when a new volume is attempted to be made.

My real question is about the no-passphrase entry.  I tried it, and it appears that I have no access to anything when a passphrase is not entered.  I recall reading somewhere about different behavior based on whether a passphrase box is checked.  Does anyone have any clarity on pitfalls to watch out for?

Overall, I'm very impressed with the Trezor!

There is no limit for the number of "hidden volumes". Trezor does not keep their list. It just can recover all those account addresses  when you enter that particular passphrase again. I don't understand the "no-passphrase entry" question. Can you please rephrase it? You have two options for setup: You either create 1. passphrase protected Trezor or 2. Trezor without passphrases. In the latter, you will never be prompted for passphrases. What does "no access to anything when a passphrase is not entered" mean? You are able to store your BTC on Trezor in second setup (without passphrases) as well.

When I plug in my Trezor, I always get the password prompt.  If I hit the "x" in the upper right corner to close the popup window without hitting "Enter", then it appears to give me no access to anything.  I have also noticed when I do not enter a password, and press "Enter", it appears to give me a new volume to work with.  So I assume that I have three volumes on my Trezor.  The first one is with my serious password.  The second one is to protect from the $5 wrench.  And the third one is a null password.

Am I understanding this right?

Thanks

yes.
it will only show the trezor label you gave it by closing the passphrase dialogue, but you can access any of your hidden volumes by clicking the add account then entering what ever passphrase you want to use.

Man, diff. is rising too fast! SLOW down with the miner purchases, hahaha

If everyone continues to add hash power...the difficulty will increases will only be that much sooner and possibly greater percentage increase.

you just figuring this out now?
246  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Cluster performance way up...my share way down. on: August 18, 2014, 04:26:25 AM
News Flash: Slush's hash now 6085910.842 Ghash/s

my share is now down to 0.0125 per block...used to be more like 0.0145 just recently when total has less than 5000000 ...no es muy bueno!

That's not even the biggest worry.
Bitcoin price falling rapidly and a huge difficulty rise on the way.
We may need a new hobby. Flute anyone?

I feel sorry for the many people who are waiting on thousand dollar hardware preorders for September  Kiss

ouch!

You do know that BIP44 is an extension of BIP 32 so the custom path will not work...

Armory is not BIP32 compatible, the root key that armory uses is not a BIP32 key, plus mnemonic seeds require some extra hashing as per BIP 39.

Let me remind you, what you did instead:
1. You contacted support and did not provide them answers to the question they needed.
2. You demanded fix to your problem immediately. It is understandable, because your money are blocked (please note the difference between blocked and lost). But on the other hand, it does not work like this with fixing errors in free web wallet with error being in another free third party library. The fixes do not fall out of the sky on the next day.
3. Then you alienated all the people who can help you by yelling at them and putting negative trust feedback on them.
4. You also rejected all the workarounds thrown at you.

I'm sorry, but there is no help for a guy like you....

slush pool found 12 blocks in the last 24 hours. beat btcguild for the first time in many years

I have read the documentation, but still have these questions:

1 With Multi-passphrase encryption (hidden volumes), can I have one without a passphrase and one with a passphrase?

2 Assuming i keep the seed well protected, can the passphrases be short?

this is what I do, a few different passphrases and no passphrase

252  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: [ESHOP launched] Trezor: Bitcoin hardware wallet on: August 16, 2014, 08:15:21 AM
can you advise how to do this? electrum does not seem to see the Trezor

It's in git master (not yet in stable release). Instructions for using development version are there: https://electrum.org/download.html

Then there appear new wallet type "Trezor" on the wallet creation/restore dialog.

Thank you for such prompt response! unfortunately I am windows boy ;( **cking Microsoft, and my laziness)
253  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: [ESHOP launched] Trezor: Bitcoin hardware wallet on: August 16, 2014, 08:03:03 AM
so if we have hardware issues, we can now restore wallets through electrum?

Electrum added support for Trezor hardware, which means you can use Electrum instead of myTREZOR. But right now you cannot recover Trezor's seed directly to Electrum without Trezor device.] However, Wallet32 works like that.

can you advise how to do this? electrum does not seem to see the Trezor

speaking of metallic trezors... The plastic case will be damaged if it's opened. How is the metallic one built / assembled?

lets open one and find out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wO30PaPGKeY

speaking of metallic trezors... I will give you 300.00USD worth of BTC for one. can you do this?
256  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [5000 TH] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + VarDiff on: August 16, 2014, 12:35:33 AM
at least the BTC to USD price is dropping enough to make some people stop using their old unprofitable hardware now
257  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: [ESHOP launched] Trezor: Bitcoin hardware wallet on: August 16, 2014, 12:27:09 AM
just got my trezor today from first day of eshop launch. it took exactly 2 times as long to deliver than the preorder one I got, from start of delivery to delivered.

edit: also, it is as awesome as I had imagined.
...and the dents on the buttons are good to distinguish between the two devices, as they are on opposite sides :/

Pay me $250 an hour and I will gladly add it. Sorry I don't work for free Wink

You said its quick fix. I'll give you $100 in bitcoin for pull request fixing it.

good call! this supercoder needs compensation for his quick fix

Hopefully we can get a bit higher to 100%.

Just curious but does anyone know why slush stopped with mergemining?

If you search back in this thread, you can find out for yourself. But iirc it is because namecoin is not supported by the devs anymore.

Free power or not if there is no work then no one is making money.
