Please let me know when the coin was launch, and maybe the progress  Maybe I can help you to promote your coin  that is very encouraging, thank you.. i want to re-create the FUN people had when using bitcoins earlier like 2009-2011 just using old miners and mine my coin. i am not going to monetize it in any sorts. i will rather create campaigns for fun. since i am a photographer, i would be giving away my works for some of my coins. just making it fun for everyone. as far as i understood bitcoins, mining at home is not very productive anymore considering the level of difficulty it has reached. i would be giving away some stuffs in the attic for some of my coins, just like having fun amongst everybody who wants to. nothing about money nothing about making a price. as i noticed, everybody or almost everybody on this forum now is just like rushing towards gold. when bitcoins at first was meant to be monetize but before the pizza story, techies used to have fun with bitcoins. i want to re-create that. i still need a lot of stuffs to gather, i am still in my learning phase. but once its on, you can be sure i will notify you about it |

If your friend understands Linux and says he can do it why don't you ask it about that too? Yes, at least one VPS (or a dedicated server) is required to create a full node for your coin. Shared hosting doesn't allow you to install SW including the daemon. I'd recommend you to grab a 2GB VPS, it may work with 1GB, nothing less than that. There are several places where you can get a VPS like DigitalOcean, BitVPS, CoinsHost among others. Several users here in the forum offer it too. If you're not close to being an expert on crypto-currencies and Linux I guess it would be difficult for you to offer a brand new feature in your coin. In that case I recommend you to reconsider creating a new coin. Your trust doesn't help either. wasnt going to monetize it anyway. just having some fun knowing how to mine and stuff. my own pride i should say. as for my trust, it was red numbered. when the person look after all my post, he removed it and it left a neutral trust. and the reasons of my selling and buying are all explained. but thank you very much for the help. at least now i know where to head to |

Yes. Something about free money makes us lose focus on what's actually going on. We all want a get rich quick scheme but they are usually too good to be true. When you do the calculations and convert to USD you will see how little you are actually making with faucets. But still we do it - probably has something to do with human psychology and maybe related to gambling.
Some people hope, that one day satoshi would be worth a buck - so if it's that easy to get some now, why not? Holding and investing (or gambling ) your satoshis are the only reasonable way to use faucets - trying to cash out that pennies is definitely not worth effort. Indeed. We are enslaved by money and we're usually trading in time of our lives to earn some. It is what it is. I've stated a pretty valid point though. It is much better to do a hard job outside than to sit inside and use faucets. Satoshi won't be worth a buck. That's just too much. It might be after Bitcoin gets adopted by all the aliens in the universe in the year 75 463. if somebody says bitcoins one day might be worth a buck, many amongst us will believe it is possible. but SATOSHI worth a buck.. damn i get 1 bitcoins and am super rich  enough to make my grandchildren not work LOL |

amasingly i might turn to faucets in general like 10 of them the best in order to have 20 dollars a week or soo becuse my ptc sites are mostly scams and faucet are not
agreed. pay to click is just a huge scam. i dont even try those. basically useless. faucets are ok but the number of satoshis you need to get to 1 bitcoin makes the effort you can give all by yourself stupid and worthless.. you need to have about 10 laptops in your room, to click on the best faucets to get approximately 0.5 btc per 10days.. its just useless. I've tried PTC sites too. Absolutely not worth it. Way way worse than faucets in comparison most faucets are pretty straightforward. i have 1-2 things in the line. but with many bugs, and many problems. like an ebay-bitcoin website, its up, running, but 1-2 problems concerning the checkout page. have a domain : bitcoinloanbureau.com which i was planning to make 2-3 or more bitcoin lenders from this forum to be the lenders there and getting on a bigger market. the domain is still inactive, i havent done anything yet.. ive bought 3-4 scripts for casinos, oh well.. i gave up the idea anyway... am trying to learn how to make coins, so that i can set up a website and build coins for people who want their own alts... the number of things i have to learn is ok, i can learn. but where to get the tutorials. thats another problem. considering i am using a celeron laptop of 2.2 ghz, from the year 2005 i have an idea box in my head, but cannot really put them to work Search this forum and you will find various threads about creating altcoins (eg. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=217636.0) There are also threads of people offering the creation service or selling automated scripts.
