241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SC coin keep dumping - :( on: July 02, 2017, 05:52:47 PM
Its heading down for a couple of days, but a lot of coins in the market did.
A lot of panic sales, just HOLD.
242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin In 3 years on: July 02, 2017, 05:43:25 PM
The fact that it's still alive also says a lot.
And i think in five years every crypto coin that is in the top 50 will be a big deal.
And personally i think Dogecoin will remain there.
For long time i saw it as a joke, i still do, but it has a a lot of support and users so that's a good thing.

Head for the Moon.  Kiss
244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [MOON] Mooncoin 🌙 35000+ funded addresses. LTC, then DOGE, then MOON! on: July 02, 2017, 05:29:49 PM
Also subbed on reddit, hope for Bittrex coming soon that will be great.
Everyone is saying that there are to many coins right?

I have understood that they are being released slowly, does any one know how much is in circulation at this moment? Not everything right?

It will slowly grow back to 1 dollar, and then beyond.
246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GTX 1080 or GTX 1070 ? on: July 02, 2017, 04:51:26 AM
Things must be rough where you live if you consider $540 for a 1080 and $460 for a 1070 a great deal. You could buy two of the RX 470 4GB mining cards for $500 or the gaming RX 570 4GB cards for less than that, if you can find them and get roughly 20-30% more hashrate for the same price.

Nobody is selling the RX 470 mining cards for $250 - the NewEgg postings were mistakes, they don't even have the cards yet - and the rep I talked to was pretty sure they were NOT going to actually sell the things at MSRP or even close when they DO get them.

If you can get GTX 1070 at $400, GRAB THEM - that's bloody cheap at current pricing, and is the same ballpark they were in a month ago before the started getting impacted by the "mining caused GPU shortage".

Last time I checked NewEgg (yesterday), for example, the LOWEST they had a "in stock" GTX 1070 listed at was well over $500, and most were $600-$800 of the VERY FEW IN STOCK options they had at all.

BTW - they didn't have ANYTHING in an RX 470/480/570/580 for under $500 at all, and only 1 or 2 options under $600 - at current pricing the RX line has ZERO advantage in reaching ROI over the GTX 1070.

Trying to call those cards "$250 cards" is not valid and hasn't been for a month or two now.

The rep you spoke with is incorrect. The mining cards were in stock at Newegg and limited to one per person for $260 for the Samsung cards and $250 for the non-Samsung version. They are still listed on the website and you can sign up to be notified when they come back in stock.

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202283

This morning Newegg also had Nvidia 1070's for $399.99 and others at $429.99, limited to one per person. Several places have had the regular RX 570 4GB cards at less than $250 over the past week. You need to act fast because they sell out quick.

http://www.nowinstock.net/computers/videocards/amd/rx570/

these are 4gb cards. you can find 4gb anywhere. for mining, ideally would be 8gb at least. today i bought 16 evga 1080, i'll post later how they perform.
I noticed amazon sells 1080 cheaper than 1070. Suppose you find 1070 and 1080 at the same price, which one would you buy ?

That is not true. The Dag file won't be even close to 4GB until 2019 and the diffrence in hashrate between the the 4GB and 8GB is less than 1 MH/s. In fact two of the Powercolor Red Dragon RX 570 4GB cards that I bought for $190 each less than 3 weeks ago will do over 29 MH/s and I have 8GB cards that only do 28 MH/s. Just because you think it's a good deal to buy overpriced cards for the performance they have in mining compared to ther cards doesen't mean they are a good deal. The fact that you would buy 16 1080's without even knowing how they perform in mining only shows you don't have a clue.

And what if we are on dag 199 with those 4gb cards?
The 8gb versions don't seem effected but the 4gb's will hurt a lot.

I thought 64cent's was already a good price.
Love the coin and the project, bought a lot with that price.
To bad it dropped 10cents, could have got many more with this price difference.
But i won't sell and hold long term, if i can get some extra money i will buy more at this low price.
248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [MOON] Mooncoin 🌙 35000+ funded addresses. LTC, then DOGE, then MOON! on: July 01, 2017, 07:50:07 PM
When will the new wallets and logo's be finished and used?
It sucks that i can't help a lot with things because i don't have the knowledge.
But i'm here to support because i believe the coin has a lot of space to grow in the upcoming years.  Cheesy

Btw: When i was talking about a new forum i was not talking about a new tread on Bitcointalk.
But one on the official website which a lot of coins have, that will also be interesting and not to hard i guess.  Undecided
249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★★DigiByte|极特币★★[DGB]✔ DigiSync v6.14.2 - DigiSpeed - Segwit -DiguSign on: June 30, 2017, 04:42:44 PM
Hello guys,

It is a very interesting discussion. May I say two words about it.

I can say only about sha256 algo. The diff of the network is about 17500 th\s =  1000000 dgb ( app. ).
We have 5 algos , correct me if im wrong, this is means about 5000000 dgb . Through the mining , every day. It means that the amount of coins on the market is +0.05 % per day, in case if all the 8723000000 dgb takes part in CryptoCurrency Trading.

There are three ways how miners stop effect on the market. 1. Miner become an investor and don't sell them. 2. New investors coming. 3. DGB coin market grows faster then inflation goes.

As you see over past month, the main is #3. But in case of DGB it was just words about future markets. Now future has come and the only way for DGB to grow up is to FIX all the products it has or supposed to have.

So this is an organic way of coin development. No products to spend your DGB, New investors see this and don't buy, Miners and Investors, who decided to close positions, are selling.

So the only way to 2000 sat. is to FIX all sites, wallets, mining problems. To finish something another words.

Say am i wrong?

Agreed, hope they will put some work in it soon..

251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: June 30, 2017, 03:24:44 AM
I agree with the view that we should not pay more than MSRP for the cards. One way to look at risk is called "value at risk". Taking the worst case scenario, how much money will you lose (example, crypto all crashing 80% tomorrow).

Those who went with 480/580 at $400 USD will find their cards worth $100. Even if their GPU can make $6 a day for 66 day ROI, their value at risk is 75% of their upfront cost.

Those who went with 1080ti at $700, but make $7 a day has a 100 day ROI. However if crypto crashes 80% tomorrow, their cards are worth $600 at least. That's only 14% of their upfront cost, value at risk is way lower.

If a person can put $10K value at risk. He can buy $71K worth of 1080tis, or he can buy $13.3K worth of 580s. For the same amount of money RISKED (not in upfront capital), he gets much much more hash.

After doing some calculation, including rig costs and estimating difficulty of resale, 1080ti are the best. 1070s has to $350 or less for me to consider. 1080tis do suffer a bit more in depreciation however.

Some of my 1080ti rigs Smiley

Very nice setup!
How is airflow, because of that GPU has 1 fan, any problems with overheating?
Planning to buy the same model

The ones where you can see the moon craters are amazing!
And to the outside world they still look professional, i would love it to be like that!

Also, maybe an idea to make a official MoonCoin forum on the official website?  Huh
253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AMD Vega frontier released! on: June 29, 2017, 03:14:28 PM
Really wan't to know more about the gaming version.
Now i'm thinking of the 1080ti's, but if the gaming has almost the same power at a lower price it will be good.

Wish i was here from the beginning..
I see people voting with 4k coins and more but what if you don't have a amount like that?

What if you only had 100, or a couple of 100 can you still vote?
And it costs 1ark, so do you lose money or what?

You can vote with as little as 2 ark....since it costs 1 ark to vote the first time.

Find an active delegate, and start voting....keep accumulating if you can as well and it will increase your voting power and rewards.

Thank you for the fast reply.
I was looking at some and really don't know what to choose from, just the ark pool?
Because that's the one i see on top a lot, is it wise to choose that one?

Also i wan't to be in for long term and don't wanne change every now and then.
Do i have to vote every week or does it stay like that forever once you put a vote?

And as someone with a little amount of coins how long does it take before i earn a ark back?
Let's say i have 150 coins and i put one vote for ark pool how long does it take?

I have seen it here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1FGo3FkC3uSWXGHatPQyny2brMWjAIJsHFCR-Lhkl_m0/edit#gid=0

Bioly also looks good, but i don't know where to start and how to make a profit and not unvote and just lose more..

Today i found this topic, which made me doubt what i'm doing again.
I wan't to get in to mining after reading a lot and just because it seems like fun.

Was thinking of building a rig with the Pulse RX580 8GB.
Planning to mind Eth, and zcash, siacoin.

What i'm hearing is that Nvidia 1080Ti's aren't as good as AMD when it comes to ETH.
But will i do good with the other currency's like hash i'm reading, and zcash, siacoin?

Just really doubting between the pulse and this 1080Ti's.
And if i took them i was thinking about the MSI GeForce GTX 1080ti Gaming X, is this a good option?

Also in mind, i pay nothing to a few cent for Electricity.
And if i go for 1080ti's there expensive but for me easier to get also wan't do this longer.
Later resale them for other card maybe..

Hope to hear some good advice, thank you guys.  Cheesy

Now already climbing again..
