nice to get a block https://blockchain.info/block-height/399738not nice to have my transaction miss this block https://blockchain.info/tx/df60741e004f63c13d07eb422f89b3fbc1a2b270cccd35c05d0daeb35af5f20fnow 10 blocks have skipped the .0013 fee transaction due to it having 52 small parts of coin and 3 big parts. thus 55 parts of coin which takes up space so it gets skipped. even though the fee is .0013 I got skipped here for this block. These funds were sent to me and there are 3 big parts in the send about 7.5 and 52 small parts around 0.05 This is tough as small payments take up space and the large fee of .0013 is not big enough. This is fund sent to me so I can not control the fee. and the sender did a large fee .0013 This post rambles but there is a point. If kano pool send out 2 to 4 payments a day to my address in 20 days it is 40 to 80 payments vs 20 payments. When I go to pay from that wallet all 80 payments will need a big fee to clear. So I rather 1 daily payment. I agree with Philip, I am voting for a once per day payment.

They'll be confirmed when we find a block. At least one was before I added the last one Back to 4 awaiting confirm. I spend ~$1 per payout ... comes from my mining, currently avg about 1/3 of my mining reward. Yeah me spending ~$110 in the last month to send out the txns adds up ... Since we pretty much confirm our own transactions with our blocks, then can you do the payments as zero fee? Assuming we get at least 1 block every day, many more usually but worst case. I don't mind waiting if it saves you money. If the pool hash rates drops for some reason and it would take more then 24 hours (expected) then pay a fee to send those payments. Guess question is since we pick the transactions to include in a block, can you make payment zero fee and have them be first in the list to confirm ourselves? Yep I already do this with our payouts (but with a fee every time) As I say here in the thread, if no one confirms any payouts before we find a block, our block should confirm it. I simply prioritise the transaction as +1000BTC fee The "should", is simply that it's possible for it the be skipped sometimes (rarely) in the work, or thrown out of the mempool, especially when it's a zero fee transaction, and I have to put it back in. But that should be quite rare. Well, if it saves you money and doing a zero fee transaction and just having it sitting in our server waiting for next kano block to confirm. I think most people here would be ok with it. Only it it sits longer then 24 hours, then pay a fee to get it confirmed. Just a suggestion......

Well in case anyone DIDN'T notice that restart ... Since we did so well before it, that indeed determined that the restart would be a shocker. Pretty much everyone will have failed over. Sorry about that. All is back OK now and the hash rate is rising again - now over 21PH and still heading back up. Here's to hoping for lots of blocks caused by the worst full restart of all the nodes ever Pretty funny that the exact time you did the restart, my power went out for about 2 min and then came back. So miners did not notice the restart since they were booting anyway! Good timing

Sorry Delaying the restart for 5 minutes - was just about to and we got a block Restarts will be at 11:35 UTC Well I guess that means another block after the restart.....

DB restart, maybe? Did not see Kano post a notice and no stats on website.....
Just checking

Two of my S5s quit working 2 days ago. I can access them remotely, rebooted....
Connected but not mining don't have time to read page after page.... The are in different locations and different internet.
2 S7s are working and on S5. Am I alone here on this?
I think so, I have a combination of S7, S5 and Avalon6. multiple geographic locations in US and all are good and mining away.

Damn, welcome lucky!
Yeah he's the standard failover ... just seems to have stayed here for well over an hour so far ... He did find a block once during a 5 minute failover so that was ok Why don't he stay?? Thats a nice size miner to keep on board.... I was also thinking people are jumping on early to get ready for Block Friday, build up that 5N

Network hash rate slowing a bit, should help. I can't believe how much vertical movement we have had.
Pretty nuts how its goes from 1.3Eh a few days ago to about 1Eh now, someone unplugging just before diff change to bring it down? Then right after back to 1.3Eh? A few days ago, the next diff we almost 23% and now 13%.

Another +25% diff increase is the nail in the coffin for home miners looking to profit (if it isn't completely dead already) without a new ultra efficient cheap home miner coming out on the market within the next 30 days or so (unlikely).
In the past year I've been home mining (plus small data center mining) for an average loss of 30%. In return I get freshly minted coins from Eligius or p2pool. Still beats going to shit places like Coinbase to buy your coins and have them track how you spend them. The S7 has probably allowed me to extend my home mining operation for another 6 months or so. As long as the loss is not too much I prefer to mine my coins rather than buy them. If you had been mining at Kano for past year you would not be mining at a loss! Check the stats and you will see I'm right. The facts are easy to see. F2 after fees is just as bad as Eligius. Not to mention how bad they are for the long term health of the network. This is the Kano Advertising thread so of course I wouldn't expect to see anything less than another four pages of ads beginning again... Oh wait... Don't like Kano, that's fine. Use Bitminter or slush but don't support crap pools like F2, Ant or Eligius that are long term killers of BTC and do more damage then good. Unless you don't care if your coins are worthless.....

What hurts the prices is when 'somebody' rents like 3-4PH and raises up the prices, throws the profitability off for everyone (including themselves) and hoses the pool luck also.
I rented 2.5PH, but did so at a time when I could get most of it at 37-38. Only last for 3-4 shifts but thats fine. Pushed my entire 5N avg up by 90TH

Well the day to beat is 9/2, that day we ended at 542% PPS with only 3 blocks! I only went back to when I stated here on June 16. Could have been a better day prior. So we need 16 blocks today to beat 542% PPS. Anything is possible, but still an awesome Block Friday!
|
|
|
I'd say thats 1st place of the non-whale farms! I think 100-125 PH would be a good size for us and would make Kano a shit load of coin!
|
|
|
wow. really wish I had done the rental for today like I had planned.
I was on the fence this morning but we needed to kill that 200% red block so I did a 2ph rental for about 3 shifts. looks like it will pay off very nicely. Already paid 4X and still 45 shifts to go in the 5N. Should have done 5PH! Next week! I think we will be seeing a 15PH rise every Friday! NiceHash and MRR will be bone dry next week.....

Kano better upgrade his server fast!! That's a lot of FIREPOWER!!! Hope you get the next block ZOU....... Those Compac sticks are fun. I do not want to hit a block or i'll regret forever no leaving them on solo :p Lol That will never happen since the hash that finds a block here, will not produce a block anywhere else. (it has a one in 6.2x10^20 chance of producing a block somewhere else) So, what you're saying is thats it possible then..... Movie quote, forget which one. I think Dumb and Dumber Yes it is also possible for this pool to find 10 blocks in 10 minutes. I wonder how often that has happened ... ... Well 10 blocks in 10 minutes, after I saw the 2 in a row, I was hoping to prove you wrong and see 8 more. We can dream

Doing a 2.5PH rental hoping to crack this block sooner rather then later. Hope it works!
