241  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the best welcome offer for you? on: July 22, 2020, 06:44:24 PM
If the site has a poker room, a ticket to a weekly/monthly freeroll is a good option.. In that way, newcomers can play against newcomers, so the field isn't that hard for them.. So free spins sounds like a good idea as well..

These 100% bonuses are hard to get if you need to wager $X to unlock X% of the total bonus..

Therefore, it is best to make a gradual unlock every $X of bets will be unlock X% of bonus funds.
If you are a beginner, then it is obvious that such a system will be more convenient for you, because there is a high probability that you will not be able to open the entire bonus without losses.
The same goes for the poker welcome bonus, gradual unlock, which can be attributed to temporary rakeback.
242  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Jetwin casino is stealing over 30,000 dollars in winnings from me on: July 22, 2020, 05:23:47 PM
Now provide all the possible evidence. Screenshots of your withdrawal attempts, and screenshots of responses from Jetwin.

30,000$ is a large amount, perhaps you started sounding the alarm early.
But nevertheless, if you want someone to help you here, first provide evidence of your story.

One of the users created a thread Jetwin casino is stealing over 30,000 dollars in winnings from me

I ask you to take a look at the thread or give any explanations about this, or write to him directly.

In any case, I'm sure the forum will be interested to know the result of your interaction and what kind of case it is.

Thank.

We need to see more evidence from the one who create above thread.
No offenses to the player who claims to have won over $30,000 at Jetwin, but he is just like telling a short story without any evidence which can be done by anyone in this world.
So it would be better if he can provide valid evidence, otherwise there will be no one cares about his story.
It is just a standard thing to do when someone want to open an accusation thread against other in this forum.

Of course. Without proof, nobody blames anyone. What is true and what is not will become clear in the very near future.
Let's wait and see the development of events. If what the guy says is true, then it will not be difficult to provide screenshots of correspondence and transactions.
244  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Jetwin casino is stealing over 30,000 dollars in winnings from me on: July 22, 2020, 05:11:42 PM
I don't know how to move the discussion to stam

Simply look for the "move topic" button (located on bottom left of that page).

Don't forget to remove the tick from "Post a redirection topic." on the next window.

It is better to move the topic to the Scam Accusations or Reputation.

After all that remains for you to give more information and answer the questions asked to you.

I have won over 30,000 dollars at Jetwin casino online over the last 2 days. I have broken it down into about 13 different withdrawals they paid 1 withdrawal the very smallest 1 yesterday for 250 bux. They have responded a couple times but I dont know what to do. Does anyone have a contact number for them or can you help me

As you can see, their phone is there.

It would be nice if you could provide more information.
What exactly did they answer you?
Why did you split the conclusion into 13 parts, are there any restrictions?
Is your account still active?

They have their own thread on the forum https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=355484.0.

One of the users wrote this message.

247  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why bitcoin never a ponzi on: July 22, 2020, 04:39:16 PM
Usually, bitcoin is called a ponzi scheme by those who lost on bitcoin and do not understand what bitcoin is, how it works, and often do not know what a ponzi scheme really is and what are its signs.

It is very easy to distinguish a ponzi scheme. Any such scheme promises you something. As a rule, these are constant passive payments, or an increase in your income, or the promise of an increase in the growth in the value of an asset in your portfolio. Bitcoin does not promise anything, you cannot wait for any payments and you are not guaranteed income.

On the contrary, at every step we are warned about the risks associated with investing in bitcoin. Nevertheless, Bitcoin has already shown that it can generate income in the future. But everyone is forced to draw their own conclusions, nothing is promised, nothing is guaranteed.
248  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin doesn't reach $500K in 3 years.... on: July 22, 2020, 04:25:53 PM
The fact that media people are not able to predict the price of bitcoin has been known for a long time. An example is Arthur Hayes, the head of Bitmex who, at different times, predicted different prices for bitcoin.
His last prediction was in March, he said that by the end of 2020, the price of bitcoin will rise to $ 20,000.
Nevertheless, Hayes said in one of his interviews: "It's my job to predict whether the predictions come true or not, I don't care."
249  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Upgrade Stole My Bitcoin on: July 22, 2020, 04:05:39 PM
3.5 BTC ... It's really not nice. A bitter lesson for life. We always try to improve our security to the maximum, and in this endeavor of ours we often forget and fall into similar traps. When it comes to safety, it is worth working out certain paths that you will walk on from day to day without changing them. For example, downloading updates only from an official source whose link you will check every time you try to update, because the source itself can also be compromised. Sympathize with you.
250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Physical Casinos Decoded : on: July 21, 2020, 01:50:40 PM
I think it depends on whether what makes you happy is good or bad. That's why it's important we derived our happiness from good things alone. There are certain fruits and vegetables that lighten ones mood and create a happy feeling. Fruits/vegs are generally good for our bodies especially when consumed the right way.  They do other good things to our bodies beside creating that happy mood. Or they have more advantages than disadvantages/side-effects. The disadvantages are normally very little or very negligible

Becoming a vegetarian was a big missed steak

I think we can make it even easier to see the difference between the good and the bad. The good is everything that makes you happy or at least happier in the long term (preferably, for lifetime). On the other hand, the bad is anything which undermines your long-term wellbeing (and happiness). In this way, drugs are bad even if they can make you happy for a while. Casinos (since we are talking about them here) can be both depending on our personal inclinations and attitudes. They can ruin one's life, but they can also make one happier for offering enjoyment and fun (with a bit of adrenaline)

If you look globally, casinos can be attributed to bad things, because as you said, it ruins the lives of some people, and as we know most people are not successful in casino games. In addition, here you can add the fact that people who lose in a casino become temporarily unable to provide for themselves, their family, as well as pay for services and taxes, of course, everything depends on the degree of wealth of the individual. All this leads us to an even greater degree of deterioration of affairs locally around each individual, and globally between all of them within the framework of a separate state and, if you look above, the world. Add money laundering and other delights with which it is connected here, we will get a far from unambiguous result.
251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker site on: July 21, 2020, 01:43:02 PM
If I play poker I play on PokerStars and there you can indirectly deposit with cryptocurrency. Just create a Neteller account. You can deposit bitcoin to Neteller and then simple deposit to PokerStars with Neteller. Works like a charm.

However, this is not entirely convenient. Firstly, as far as I know, Neteller does not work with all countries. Secondly, this is not a direct deposit.
If I am not mistaken, then you will have to withdraw funds only where the deposit came from, the question is whether there will be difficulties with the neteller-bitcoin reverse conversion when withdrawing?
Nevertheless, I agree that it is better than nothing.
252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: IDEX Market Google Store SCAM ALERT on: July 21, 2020, 11:53:02 AM
Scammers are everywhere, they are on social media and play store and almost everywhere, they can only steal from your coins if you are negligence on the security of your wallet and not updated on the latest news on what is happening around us, we have this wallet scam and just lately the Twitter hacked, scammers and hackers are really good in perpetuating their bad deeds.

I would like to know about the damage that this application has caused to users. The number of stolen private wallets and the total amount of funds on them.
And then show this data to Google so that they think what the hell they have so often scam applications appear and are not blocked for months.
Are applications not going through any moderation? We can find almost all cases of scam applications in the Google Store.
253  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Allegedly Coinbase prevented 1,000 customers From Sending Funds to the Hackers on: July 21, 2020, 11:33:35 AM
I have to tell you, I am not a big fan of centralized services, because I think they are destroying Satoshi Nakamoto's original vision for Bitcoin... but when I see things like this happening, I think Satoshi would agree that it is a necessary evil for services like this to exist.  Roll Eyes

Everything is correct. Basically, we don't have much choice. Centralized services occupy most of the crypto market, which means that we cannot just get rid of them, and most likely in the near future they will continue to increase their influence. All we can and should do is to provide such services with an appropriate level of security. In this case, Coinbase intervened in the personal affairs of users, but thereby saved them from mistake.

Bitcoin is a payment options, so there will always be criminals that would exploit or scam people and it is no different with any other kind of payment option. (How many people have been scammed with cash payments, compared to Bitcoin?... answer... Millions)  Wink

Bitcoin, like many cryptocurrencies, expands opportunities for everyone, both for ordinary people and for criminal elements. This is a side effect in our culture.
We do not know how high the turnover of these elements is, but we can assume that the turnover of drug money laundering in our usual offline casinos can easily exceed these amounts.
254  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Allegedly Coinbase prevented 1,000 customers From Sending Funds to the Hackers on: July 20, 2020, 09:47:51 PM
Crypto exchange Coinbase has said that it prevented little over 1,100 customers from sending bitcoin to Twitter hackers who hijacked high-profile accounts to advertise a bitcoin scam last week.

If Coinbase didn't take the step, these customers would have collectively sent 30.4 bitcoin (currently worth about $278,000) to hackers, the exchange's chief information security officer, Philip Martin, told Forbes. Notably, this amount is more than twice the actual amount ($121,000) that hackers collected via victims.

https://www.theblockcrypto.com/post/72200/coinbase-says-it-prevented-over-1000-customers-from-sending-280000-worth-of-bitcoin-to-twitter-hackers

Excellent operational work. If all exchanges had taken such measures in time, the hackers would probably have received significantly less.
What do you think?
255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the best welcome offer for you? on: July 20, 2020, 11:18:11 AM
First, let's jump ahead to welcome offer and skip the legit or not legit. Let's just assume that the site is legit, so for me the best welcome bonus offer is I am not picky as long as the welcome offer is decent and does not require more requirements except depositing crypto which is what most people do to get bonus.

As a rule, a welcome offer will always have certain conditions for wagering in the future. Nobody gives bonuses without conditions, otherwise you would simply deposit the crypt, receive the bonus and withdraw it without hindrance. It is important for a casino to bind you to itself, this is what a bonus exists for. Until the moment it is fully unlocked, you will already bring a part of the casino's profit. So don't overestimate the bonuses.
256  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Vietnam bursts an illegal casino who used to handle bets worth $3 billions on: July 20, 2020, 11:11:21 AM
For sure there's actions that will be taken place, if there's someone who can provide any information or updates
to whatever extent that being implement to those illegal facilitators of gambling business, it's really a big money
behind it, impossible that the exposures will not hit any news around this country.

In countries such as Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos, the gambling industry is mostly owned by the Chinese nationals. In mainland China, gambling is banned. And therefore those who can't travel to Macau normally come to these nations to visit the casinos. It is a mutually beneficial relation, but there are some negatives as well. Growth in organized crime and money laundering are some of the negative side effects.

The most negative side effect of all this is that during such machinations the level of corruption in the country increases at the highest levels, which further spreads to other spheres of government.
Even developed countries face this, but in less developed countries it is a much more serious problem because these countries themselves are poor and the living standards of the population are low.
257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: IDEX Market Google Store SCAM ALERT on: July 18, 2020, 09:41:51 AM
The most unpleasant thing is that this application was posted last month, on the second of July. And the fact that this scam was revealed quite recently. 500 downloads is quite a lot, considering that among them there can easily be clients of the exchange itself who are waiting for a mobile application. Another reminder that in the crypto world you need to check absolutely everything, several times.
258  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker site on: July 18, 2020, 09:36:48 AM
Which conditions on Pokerstars are getting worse? Personally I don't haven't notice this. But maybe thats because I am not playing constantly there so don't have a lot of benefit in the leveling reward system.

Several times there was an increase in rake in a variety of disciplines, such as MTT, CIS, hands-up tables Zum and so on. The player has repeatedly tried to "boycott" innovations, but as a rule it is even.
But once they succeeded, in December 2015 the poker stars refused to raise the rake, but they raised it after a few months.
As far as I know, there were certain changes in the necessary conditions to obtain the highest status, which guaranteed a high rake.
How it is now, I can’t say for sure.

IMO the major problem with playing at PokerStars is the players level, not the rakes.. As PS is the #1 room, you will find solid players even in microstakes STT.. and things get harder as you go up..

Even, and especially, if you play just for fun, it should be better to play on other sites..

Due to the worsening conditions for regular players, Poker Stars has systematically improved the conditions for recreational players, which are becoming less and less every year.
And as you noticed, more or less strong players can be found at virtually any limit. 90% of the rake is done by regular players. But without recreational players, regular players would have left the room long ago.
Therefore, the policy of PokerStars can be understood, and judging by the fact that they are still in the top online, they are probably right.
259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Physical Casinos Decoded : on: July 18, 2020, 09:14:19 AM
That may actually be the next project of these physical casinos, create their own online sites and setting up/managing it would not be hard on their end. So yes, online gambling will boom in no time. They can get their players easily as they already have their own patrons so they will just send a message to these loyal patrons that they have online site and they are on the way.

However, this is a rather laborious process. Just as when moving from one place to another, we risk losing some things, so when moving customers offline to online there is a risk that they will be lost. When a large casino announces the creation of an online cell, a lot of scam clones appear that will disorient and lure some customers to themselves. And given that the level of preparation for working with web applications is different for everyone, the percentage of trapped clients can be quite high.
