241  Economy / Speculation / Re: Heavy BTC resistance at $20k on: November 30, 2020, 05:03:40 PM
just as expected, the big wall to break at $19,8k, too many sell orders at this price to pull bitcoin back to below $19k in a relatively short time.
Nonetheless, I won't sell bitcoin at this point, just wait until it reaches a little over $20K, probably $20,2k.
I have bought altcoins since a few days ago, so it's just a waiting game for bitcoin to reach the ath, following by altcoins, then sell it all.
242  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese Police Seize 1% of Bitcoin’s Total Supply on: November 30, 2020, 03:35:11 PM
People should stop to give too much attention to all this China FUD. To stupid reason for dump as for me
It's not a FUD, it's a FACT.

Nope, anything that shows even a little bit of something negative towards bitcoin is FUD.

is anything negative towards bitcoin categorized as FUD? Pardon me, all this time I thought FUD is false or misleading information that is spread deliberately to deceive. FUD is generally a strategy to influence perception by disseminating negative and dubious or false information and a manifestation of the appeal to fear. source. But yeah, negative and dubious is a manifestation of FUD.
However, this news mentions the fact that 194,775 BTC and all other coins worth over 4 billion were seized.
243  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Climbs Above $19,000 – Heading to New All-Time High? on: November 30, 2020, 02:58:59 PM
Many people predict the same thing, even more than 30% correction but it seems no more than 17%.
if bitcoin could surpass the next resistance at $18,5k, then we might see $19k tomorrow, there seems to be a massive reject of $18k and if bitcoin fails, probably will fall to $17k again.

I didn't predict it, more like hoping for it, but yeah, probably more predictions against than for from what's publicly available (another sign to me that this is a very different period from 2017). Don't think the possibilities for a bigger retracement are off the table though, we'll just have to examine if we get weekly lower lows, lower highs, methinks so.

Yeah, me too. Most of us expect the same goal for bitcoin and today it is proven that bitcoin is getting back on the rally so it managed to break through $19.8k almost reach the ATH at $20k. I guess we will bitcoin surpass the resistance level of $20k, then what may happen? whether people decide to enjoy the ATH or let it climb even higher to $21-$22k within this week. Refrain from selling bitcoin until at least it reaches $25k by the end of the year.

It's not a FUD, it's a FACT.
They seized too much and could dump it to the market anytime they want, as no statement that those coins will be aucted but forfeited to the national treasury.
Cryptocurrency is banned in China, in this case, it is possible not to auction off the confiscated proceeds.
We can speculate that the last correction caused by China as well, or they will wait until bitcoin reaches a new ATH to sell all of it.
245  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In my school, Bitcoin is now becoming a subject on: November 30, 2020, 08:47:59 AM
Bitcoin and Blockchain become recognized in financial technology since several years ago, hence many schools and university introduced bitcoin and blockchain to their curriculum especially countries in the EU, US, and Australia. However, only a few countries in Asia have introduced information and guidelines on virtual currencies  such as in Japan, Thailand, and South Korea.

The University of California is just one elite US establishment now offering a course on digital currencies, along with Pennsylvania, New York and Stanford universities. source

246  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People still don't know about Bitcoin on: November 30, 2020, 07:20:37 AM
There are many people who still don't know about bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies. I don't know about others I am talking about my country and about my society. Whenever I ask from people about or talk about the Bitcoin. They ask what is this?

How much there is who face this problem?

Its common thing in all crypto irregulated country. There has some reason:
1: Government : First of all government dosen't tell about this technology to their people. That is why lots of people dosen't know about this.
2. Education : lots of countries people dosen't know because they are not aware about online or online share market. They don't understand blockchain.

In my country it is also same.

Many people ever heard about cryptocurrency or bitcoin through news or ads on the internet but only a few who really interested to learn more about bitcoin, we can assume probably around 1-2% of people worldwide know and own bitcoin.
Only a few governments that issued regulation about bitcoin in their country, such as the US, Japan, and Ukraine which recently the Ukrainian Ministry of Digital Transformation educate its citizens with the launch of an education cryptocurrency and blockchain television series.
source

With one study suggesting ~25 million cryptocurrency traders outside the USA & Europe, it seems quite likely there are over 100 million owners of bitcoins. If true, it means about 1.3% of the world's population owns bitcoin.source

247  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Climbs Above $19,000 – Heading to New All-Time High? on: November 29, 2020, 11:59:58 PM
Tsk. I was really preparing for a dump more massive than what we saw. But I guess asking for more than 20% in a few days would be too much, even if the gains have been piling up week after week. I'm refusing to believe the bears are giving up though, and plenty of weak hands I think have yet to be shaken.

Markets back in the green right now but I have a feeling we're down for some more surprises come the regular week.

Meanwhile. Corn be a-popping.

Many people predict the same thing, even more than 30% correction but it seems no more than 17%.

248  Economy / Economics / Re: The pandemic did push the world towards a more digital age. on: November 29, 2020, 03:20:02 PM
I agree, the only good thing that happened due to the corona pandemic is that our work environment changed drastacially. Many jobs where it seemed impossible to do home office, now have an open policy to wards it. Communication is key here, with everybody being able to afford a cheap headset/webcam there is no limitation towards virtual meetings.

At least in my company, it was noticed that the employees are more productive now (while working from home) than the pre-pandemic period (when we were working from office). I hope that the management notice this and make a flexible work from home policy even after the pandemic is contained. The employees are happy as well. Most of us have seen our expenses getting reduced by up to 50% (salary has remained the same).

Yeah, working from home is one of the positive sides of this Pandemic as the environment is less nerve-wracking and the person's stress is decreased.
However, not every job can be done from home, people also need to attend the workplace and many people have lost their position as well.
For them, there are plenty of jobs and the opportunity to work and earn income through the online market, including crypto related business.
249  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin at risk of regulation? on: November 29, 2020, 02:31:19 PM
Regulation and KYC doesn't harm bitcoin nor the community, no problem.
Most of us who have registered on exchanges that require KYC have done it.
If the government wants to supervise cash flow in exchanges in order to be cautious and alert to the dangers of money laundering or any other illegal activities, they can do it just like we have been using bank service for years. However, everyone can choose to register on exchanges that not require KYC if they want, or never do it at all, using bitcoin without a third party to buy or convert bitcoin into fiat currency.
250  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what successfull trading tips have worked with you so far ? on: November 28, 2020, 11:46:33 PM
what trading tips that actually worked with you so far?
and by worked i meant that you are making profit rather than losing money ...
PS: buying a long time ago is not a trading tip

Simply buy low, sell high.
Depending on the price right now as bitcoin and altcoins have the potential to reach a higher price.
I bought several coins a few hours ago which I assess will follow the bitcoin path to reach ath in December.
Waiting for the correction and then buy back in the dip.
251  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Climbs Above $19,000 – Heading to New All-Time High? on: November 28, 2020, 10:58:15 PM
It seems price started to recovery back from that hard dump of 19K to 16K now it is swinging in the mid 17K range for a while, hopefully we can see the bullish trend starts again and this also happens with the last bullish trend if I remember it the price falls from10K region to 6K then it went to 20K all the way.

There's still a chance for all time high this year we are still a month away, and anything can happen all I know is the momentum is still there, it never loss it's momentum, Coinmarketcap has an all time high contest it's a good motivation for people to buy Bitcoin and I'm sure not only Coinmarketcap there are other organization and individual doing this, they just don't announce it.

Yes they have and offers pretty good rewards as well, I think it may be achieved within 1-2 weeks if bitcoin going sideways for a few days but in the last 24 hours the btc-usd crypto chart seems to be increasing positively above $17,5k. If bitcoin price could maintain its position without any corrections below $16,8k until Monday, then we will see $20k in the next week.
252  Economy / Economics / Re: Here is why btc will die as a crypto on: November 28, 2020, 08:20:33 PM
So you're all arguing whether bitcoin will die or not because this dude tried to send 0.3 USD through blockchain? What's the point of such a transaction, what would you even buy with that? A cup of coffee or even a pack of chewing gum is more expensive. You even pay more than that for taking a piss in a public bathroom.

He paid an exaggerated fee as the pic shows the transaction will be confirmed within 10 minutes with 13 sats/byte, instead he paid 32 says/byte. it could be confirmed with only 1 sats per byte if he checks the mempool when there are only a few unconfirmed transactions and sets a manual fee although it takes longer to be confirmed. However, when there are numerous unconfirmed transactions on the mempool, we don't have many choices but to pay higher fees or wait for a long time.
253  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The dangers of buying bitcoin thru Paypal - real life example on: November 28, 2020, 04:45:48 PM
They don't know how things work in the crypto-world, Paypal should hire some people who understand how to manage the business 'buy and sell crypto'.
If they don't want all of the hassle to handle buy at a lower price and sell at a higher price, they should announce that people are not allowed to trade, but to spend crypto on the merchants.
254  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin reach 20k $ in 2021? on: November 28, 2020, 04:12:29 PM
Bitcoin has a 90% chance to reach $20k by the end of this year, no doubt about it.
Although it was corrected after failed to break the resistance level at $19,5k and fall to $16k but it seems slowly recover at the moment, probably gain the momentum to push to the barrier once again, hopefully could reach $18k tomorrow.
255  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Follow a trading process. on: November 28, 2020, 02:08:37 PM
When you are in crypto trading, patience is the most important thing. If you set yourself a goal and if you find a good strategy that could work, as long as you do not deviate from your path and keep grinding for a long period of time, you will eventually make a profit. In real life, there will be people who make more money, but remember there are tons who would lose money as well, so making a profit no matter how big or small should be the goal here.

If you look at people who make 10x and be upset over your 20% profit, you are going to ignore the people who lost 50% during the same period. Do not try to be like the people who made 10x, but try to avoid being like the people who lost 50% instead, if you focus on that part, you are going to be successful in crypto trading.

The typical mistake for traders is impatience, if the price of bitcoin or altcoins declining, they follow the fud to sell out even though there is still a chance for the coins price to increase in the next few weeks.
Yeah, we need to create our strategy, then create the portfolio to note the entry price, how much profit to acquire, at what point to sell. All of that is very important to improve capabilities in terms of risk management and financial management. Furthermore, the percentage of profit we get will encourage us to keep going on trading and become an experience for making further decisions.
256  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Real purpose of Bitcoin on: November 28, 2020, 01:21:50 PM
When you talk about Bitcoin first thing which most of us thinks either it's a get rich quick scheme or an investment scheme. Did Satoshi Nakamoto created Bitcoin as an investment scheme? No, it was supposed to be a peer to peer payment transaction across borders without involvement expensive money exchangers or regulators but it has been turned into an investment scheme, where are we heading ? Do you think Bitcoin is losing its original purpose of its invention?

Most of us in this forum have been using Bitcoin as a medium of exchange, we pay something using BTC, we receive wages from signature campaigns in BTC. This explains that bitcoin is still used as a peer to peer payment transaction across borders without the need for a third centralized third party.

If we talking about people out there from institutional investors or companies who drive the price to increase rapidly, therefore regulators have to make laws to supervise them, something applies for a reason but doesn't mean it change the real purpose of Bitcoin.
257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins price pump influence bitcoin price Negatively ? on: November 28, 2020, 08:48:08 AM
I have the impression that every-time bitcoin starts climbing steadily, the XRP pumps like crazy 100%+ within 24h, causing doubt in the entire market!
Are altcoins like stellar and xrp harming the bitcoin price by their manipulated pumps ?

Obviously not. They have separate community and there's a reason why XRP is pumping same as BTC. Most of the Altcoins don't have any news to sell for hyping the market. The airdrop occur on Uniswap that give tons of free money ignite the hype on XRP that many investors hoping to get same profit on it.

I don't see why the price of XRP gives a negative impact on the crypto market since they are really doing good. I will agree if a Bitconnect like project pumping like hell.

Yes, altcoins do not affect the bitcoin price but it seems whenever bitcoin price starts to increase, altcoins very likely to follow. This phenomenon occurs because traders are looking for alternatives coins to purchase as the price are cheaper and a small percentage increase can provide decent profits.
Xrp free airdrop on Uniswap should influence the price negatively, isn't it? Because people tend to sell what they've acquired for free. The price will plummet after the Flare Network, give the airdrop tokens to XRP owners in December.
258  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Bitcoin Playbook Double Digit Rally Double Digit Sell off Pump Again on: November 27, 2020, 02:51:31 PM
The price of bitcoin drop to $16,200 which means 17%, many people expect it would fall 30%-35% but it seems no more whales want to sell their coins as bitcoin tanks above $16k and gradually recover to $17k. The graph may be going sideways this week but the rally isn't over yet, bitcoin still has the time to comeback in December to take the crown. Consider the current price as a brief dip to buy more coins before it starts to rise again.
259  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin in Freefall, What to Do? on: November 26, 2020, 07:21:31 PM
So bitcoin is down $3,000 today and it seems to be getting worse.  Do you think this will be like 2018 again when it went to $18,000 then tanked and went to as low as $5,000 in the next year or so?  What would you do in a situation like this now or in the future?

it just a brief dip, nothing more than 17% correction so far, $18k supposed to be the lowest support level, but many people triggered by the fud which resulting the whole crypto market went into panic-sell to secure their profits before it's too late. So the main support levels are $16k right now and if this trend still continues, we may see it drop to $15k tomorrow. The market is more mature these days with many institutional investors with the intention for long term investment, so there's no need to panic.
260  Economy / Economics / Re: Different online business we can involve in on: November 26, 2020, 02:11:15 PM
The covid-19 has brought so many hard times in many families because companies are shut down, majorly due to lack of returns to pay salaries. This has led to downsizing of work force and some total closure of businesses.
The job loss is witnessed in every country of the world and some countries are predicting serious recession now and in the future.

Above the jobloss and hard times in the real world, those who are in the online businesses have not felt badly compared to those who depend on others or government for salaries.
~

During the Pandemic, the online business provides a good opportunity for everyone who lost their job, all they have to do is learning a new thing.
among the list, probably the easiest one is dropshipping, there are plenty of options out there for getting started and register on e-commerce.
Even with limited resources, someone could start doing it with just a smartphone and internet connection.
