I did the math:
BTCFPGA bASIC $1069.99 ÷ 27GH = $39.63/GH 1 year warranty projected to ship in November/December of 2012
BFL Single 'SC' $1299.00 ÷ 40GH = $32.48/GH 6 month warranty projected to ship in October of 2012
but yes, competition is good.
Aren't these numbers estimates though? I think it may be a little too early to decide.

I am looking to obtain 20 bitcoins (as well as build some reputation on this forum since I am a new member). Since I am starting with basically no rep, I am willing to do this with smaller transactions (like 5 btc each).
I understand the risks of paypal transactions but I am unsure of a better way to build reputation on these forums.

I am looking to sell a used Asus VK266H monitor as I have recently upgraded. This monitor is 25.5" and has a 1920x1200 resolution with a variety of inputs (HDMI, DVI, VGA, Component) as well as built in speakers and webcam. Please note the quality of the built in webcam and speakers are both crap so don't expect much. As far as dead pixels there have been none that I have noticed after using this for ~ 2 years. This monitor is located in the USA (Seattle in particular) so shipping via UPS ground to USA only.
Review of the monitor can be found here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236046
For the monitor + original stand I am looking for ~ 15 btc However, I also have a stand that can be included which allows this monitor to swivel, rotate, change between vertical/horizontal positions. The cost of the rotating stand would be an additional 3 btc which mostly just included the additional shipping cost as I would need to ship it separately.[/size] Since I am new here escrow seems to be ideal and we can use a well known forum member who provides escrow services at my expense.

As a graduate student with access to high resolution microscopes and an SEM I am tempted to buy one of these just to examine it.
If you examine one and post your findings I will reimburse the cost of one coin plus shipping. Do you have a coin denomination in particular you'd like examined? Otherwise I will just look at the gen2 1 btc coin

I wish someone would pay me to gamble with their money so I could keep part of the profit if they win but have no risk at loss of my own money ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

Is there really a competitive advantage when they start acting like this? I never understood how you could make anything playing with such small amounts.
There's somebody who is running a scalping bot to take advantage of the spreads. This is pretty easy to see as trade sizes are consistently small and tend to lead the main trades by a small amount each time (often on both the buy and ask side). It looks like somebody else who knows his/her bots has come along and with a little help from excel has calculated the % variables used in the scalping algo. They've used this knowledge to write a script to take advantage of the original scalping bot... in effect, he's stealing the small margin from the original bot on each trade. Ha! I am new to Bitcoin and it just keeps getting more and more interesting. So much to learn and this world is much more accessible than FIAT currencies.

I understand that, I just don't understand the motivation. I haven't really followed the online gambling shenanigans. Is it more of US casinos worried about profits and lobbying to prevent any US gamblers from spending their money anywhere else other than US institutions or something else?
|

|
Out of curiosity, what sort of authority does the US have on a non-US based bitcoin casino? Even if you try to prevent US gamblers some will always get through somehow. Is my government really that hellbent on targeting casinos outside of its jurisdiction?

This post is from May, so I doubt the offer still stands. Also I get a feeling MtGox is giving away yubikeys to anyone who verified their identity. I don't even have money in my account and they gave me the free key coupon after I verified.

Looks awesome. Did you you intercept them from people earlier in cue by making a deal with Inaba? Are you a "quality assurance" and burning in the hardware and causing a slight shipping delay? Is there actually anything hardware in those pretty cases? If this is all shady deals, than you are a slick one my friend and I am quite jealous. Just being the skeptic that I am ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fstatic.fjcdn.com%2Fpictures%2FYou%2Breally%2Bthink%2Bsomeone%2Bwould%2Bdo%2Bthat%2B.%2BJust%2Bgo%2Bon_981b71_3201562.jpg&t=663&c=0cosnl4mirZYtg)
