241  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terrence Crawford vs Errol Spence - July 29 on: July 23, 2023, 03:00:44 PM

If I were to collect opinions from boxers so I can use them in my betting analysis, I would avoid Shakur Stevenson, Tank Davis, Jermell Charlo, etc. Tank Davis is not just handled by PBC and Showtime just like Spence but both are very close friends over the years. I would be more interested if Tank Davis shows us a $5 million bet on Spence if he is really that confident, see if he is willing to risk around 10% of his last fight's purse. Or news that says Tank is now willing to stop cherry-picking and fight the real dogs at 135. Shakur and Haney are waiting for this cherry picker to grow some balls. Grin

Anyways, I already had a 1.77 ML bet on Crawford weeks ago. Thought of adding some but the odds are becoming more favorable to the turning 36 Bud Crawford.
These boxers are wrong most of the time when picking the winner. It could be just a statement to mislead us, but what's important is that we trust our own prediction based on our analysis. At the end of the day, it's still our money at risk. That 1.77 ML odds is already good if you are confident enough that Spence will win, but if you aren't too confident, then I guess Spence has better value.
I never include other boxers' opinions when it comes to my analysis too if they are friends with the other boxers they will go for them even to the point of favoring them for a knockout win, and if they have a quarrel with the other boxer they will show it on their opinion, and besides we have videos of their past fights and their records, from there we can do a comparison on how well they will perform, but on this particular fight its hard to favor one over the other, you can go with either one and your chances could be good or bad.
This is the kind of fight we all wanted to see two undefeated champions who fight dominantly in the ring, I think both fighters are now in Vegas we are now waiting for the press conference and of course their face-off, everybody's waiting for this.

Which is valid. There's no reason why you should be influenced by someone when picking a pick, as there are other resources
that you can use to weight your decision.

In terms of this upcoming fight, both are highly dominated type of fighter and with how we witness
them inside the ring, it will be difficult to predict which will be better for this upcoming fight.

It will be depending on the performances that they will be going to show coming from the preparation
that they've prepared to execute. It's your own take to risk here. Both fighters are capable of winning.
242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: People with quick rich attitude always mess up with alt coins on: July 23, 2023, 02:35:58 PM
It’s good that you are cautious and advising others to be cautious as well. It’s important to understand the reason behind prices moving up and analyze the benefits and demerits of the project before investing.
Well, if it rises due to some hypes and manipulations, you'll gonna be staying away from that project because the next thing that will happen is an abrupt dump. But if it rises because it really has the potential and has a use case, that something will tell us that the future of this project is bright. However, when talking about new projects, we really have to take extra caution because the majority are scams. Many projects have only had a good start but in the later part, it dump slowly until it was gone totally.
well thats the thing with new project, nothing much difference if compared to the new startups.
the thing is that definitely not all of them could always survive majority of them will just outright dump and lose their value.
when it comes to the new project I think the project that has some partnership with the other large institutional even reputed exchanges like coinbase which we know always list very few select token or coins.
are gonna be that massive of helps, it will definitely helps a lot in keeping the project from dumping to oblivions.

when it comes to alts, better choose a project that is backed by well-known company. because they won't just shelve the project because they will be investing their funds to take off the project. now, if they decide to stop the project, you can easily read their update as they will announce it in public. because if they will just abandon it without prior warning, it won't be good on their reputation. so they won't mess it up if they have image that they want to take care of.

Good thing to know about who's behind the project and what they are staking with it,

Reputations are very important for each business and like what you mentioned, if they are backing certain project they are not
just risking their money, but also their reputations. They will mostly refer on, as it will not be a good sign to have that bad reputation.
it will affect the whole business so they will be very careful about it (most of them if not all)
243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: People with quick rich attitude always mess up with alt coins on: July 22, 2023, 09:48:39 PM
people who want to get rich quick usually always invest in altcoins and the proof is that many are successful because the altcoins they hold go up to 1000% or more. but there are also many who lose as a result of investing in altcoins because the altcoins they hold fall by 500% or more, of course, that will result in losses.

In my opinion, in this case, we can invest in altcoins, but we must be prepared for risks and most importantly, we must be able to analyze technical, fundamental, and others.

And if you sum it up, the percentage of those who lost from this kind of investment is far higher than those who managed to earn.

It's really hard to pick and sort out the right project to invest. If you have a mindset that it will bring you big profits,
without doing deep research, more on how dedicated you are to finding the right project and you are not doing
a gambling type of investment, but you have deeper knowledge about the project that you support.

Even if you see something like that, it doesn't mean it's actually real.

The streamer could easily just login there with another username, and send money to himself, or a friend, etc, to create the idea that it's working.

It's pretty common actually to see things like that when they want your money. It makes it more attractive for a lot of people to take the bait.
We certainly don't know how the streamer plays gambling. Either he uses his own account or uses someone else's account or even the casino provides an account for him so he can stream his gambling games. We only know based on what we see and what they do. And that was enough for them to entice people to join and even use their referral link. And those of us who watch it shouldn't easily follow what they say, and if we want to join a casino, it's best to find a trusted casino and don't follow the streamer if you don't know him well.

We can't tell if how those streamers set it up, but one thing is for sure,

They are doing it to attract gamblers to use their referrals and bring more people to use the site. It will bring them viewers
plus the ref bonus that they will going to receive from the casino itself, meaning to say, whatever it is money will flow for
them, that's what matter for them and they will continue to seek for those followers to earn more.
245  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 22, 2023, 02:31:27 PM
Me neither, if they can set back their superiority, they could blend well but if not, then I can see they will change a team again after or before their contract expires. That is the problem of a so-called super team and the cons of stacking-up superstars in one team thinking it's a good idea. Not realizing, not all superstars can give way.

Blending superstars are a tough challenge for the team, the players itself needed to work together and build that trust with each other.

No offense, but if only Kyrie is not injured during the time when his KD and Harden are playing during the east semi-finals,
they've got a big chance of winning the title, sad to say that it was the injury that cause them not to make that success when
they form their own version of a super team, and again, it's a challenge individually for the Suns, if how they will form that
chemistry to have a same purpose in winning a title.
246  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight (july15,2023 on: July 22, 2023, 04:39:03 AM
Nonito's prediction that Fulton has a slight edge is a bit off. I don't know if he is telling the truth or still not convinced that Inoue is extremely good, as Inoue beat him twice, while Donaire has not even fought Fulton yet. What the public believes is what I believe will happen, so I'm all the way with Inoue here, regardless of how he'll beat Fulton, but I'd love to see a KO if possible.

Yes, it doesn't really make any sense at all because it will be more believable if he is saying otherwise because it was Inoue whom he faced twice and not Fulton. So, I don't really think that he's giving a concrete prediction about this fight, with what he is saying in public now, it seems that he got a grudge against Inoue because he didn't had any chance to defeat the Japanese boxer at all and even embarrassed him on their 2nd encounter.
Good point, as he didn't have that chance facing Fulton while he was beaten twice by Inoue,

Though it's just his own opinion and no one is being forced to follow or believe in him, I'm thinking that maybe he's using it for
publicity on this upcoming fight, but in the back of my mind he doesn't need it as the fight has been moved as an undercard with
the well anticipated meetup of Spence and Crawford, no offense to all the opinions but we will be able to conclude it once it
was done.
247  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: July 22, 2023, 04:23:59 AM
Anyone seen the video of Fulton getting a birthday cake from a Japanese?

But for sure, he want's to be cordial but he might be cautious as well. Remember Michael Jordan's food poisoning from a Pizza when he was in Utah? I'm not saying that this could be a trap from Fulton as it could be laid with something. But I guess they are wise enough not to consume that pizza from a Japanese bakery just to be on the safe side.  Smiley

I did not see that, but for sure anyone who's Japanese did that with no intention to harm. I think, It was just a way to appreciate and respect their country man's opponent.  Japanese character are known to be honest and respectful. So, I don't think that's gonna be the case, but to be more cautious I can't blame Fulton's camp if they refuse to consume that gift, I bet we all could understand. Nevertheless, if there will a food poisoning case, it will be easily diagnosed and I don't think Fulton will make any excuses here to cancel or delay the fight, because he already expresses his eagerness for this fight to happen in the first place.
This will for sure going to be an exciting fight. I will not expect anymore dramas between the 2 camps till the fight night as both teams are now in a deeper focus at this point.

This is what I found,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j857RzWiwsc

Yeah, I think Fulton is not happy with that cake, but what can he do, maybe the Japanese just appreciate him traveling to Japan and fight their national hero there. But he has every right to not accept or not eat it. It's up to him.

And I don't think this will create drama, I mean we are all been waiting for this fight already.

In that video you share he I think he still appreciates it as he still blows the candles,

But in terms of planning to accept and eat the cake, the video itself shows that he didn't take it and for sure no plan
of even tasting it. I also don't expect that it will create any drama as the fight was scheduled and already been postponed
and having him now in Japan and doing his routine means that he's all set to face the Monster.

It's better to be safe than sorry. He is preparing for a big fight, and he wants to make sure he is 100% ready, as that's the only way to beat Inoue. Some critics are saying that Fulton could win since Inoue hasn't really fought real boxers from the USA. Maybe the biggest boxer Inoue beat was Donaire, but the latter was no longer in his prime. Therefore, Fulton poses a significant challenge for him.

And counting the fact that it's his first time to fight in this division even though it's just a little weight up,

But still, the power and the strength might be different from those he fought before, and like you mentioned, the last considered
heavy was Donaire, but that's not in his prime and if I remember it right, the first meetup he almost been shaken by a coming back
Donaire, now, he will be tested in terms of trying a much bigger champ. Let's wait and see what will happen.

But at least with Leonard, they were able to reach the conference finals. Leonard already had injury problems when he was still with the Raptors, but they knew how to manage him, which is why they were able to utilize him in the playoffs. There are really players who fit with one team but do not fit with another team.
Leonard is a pretty great player and can be relied on by the Clippers and during his joining he managed to give enough points for every game that could result in a win.
In 2019 Leonard also became the 6th ranked player in NBA history for players who managed to score 700+ points in one postseason.
So that naturally, the Clippers can still use him in the play-offs even though he is injured.

No doubt with the talents and skills from Leonard the only problem is the injury that really bringing him as a liability.

We see his numbers after that trade from Raptors and he almost pushes Clippers to the West finals. It reminds me back how Doc
Rivers missed that opportunity. They are close to win that series against the Nuggets but lose it all the way. Most fans anticipating
the battle against LeBron and Leonard, but it didn't happen.
249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: July 21, 2023, 12:30:45 PM
Yeah, having positive mindset is important but having positive mindset in gambling for believing he can recover all of his losses is really a wrong mindset. Every gambler should know and aware if they gamble only for fun, if they can't find the happiness in gambling when they're keep losing, they shouldn't gambling at all. Gambling is a choice and each person has it's own interest, so not all people can become a gambler.

That's right, if there are significantly more losses than wins, then there is no point in continuing to do this. In this case, you won’t even get any pleasure even if the game is for fun, what a joy it is if the player constantly loses. Gambling is not the only activity that can bring what we are looking for, but this feeling of adrenaline will still pull back...

No sense if you are aiming to have some fun and you just keep losing your money.

For sure, even you are just looking to kill some time and enjoy, you are still trying to win. It will be an additional entertainment
if you will manage to win, the problem with is when you feel that excitement, the feeling of allowing you to cash out some money,
the adrenaline to keep bringing you back, that's the thing that will lead you to seek for more.

depends on how you're losing too but agree with you that gambling is different than trading in this aspect
you simply can't make it all back in one trade...

fixed risk bets solves the adrenaline rush of winning
staying calm even after big wins or big losses

If that can be executed, and there are no other things, that will affect you in doing that.

I can say that it will resolve everything, fixed bets and nothing to exceed, with a calm mindset and with a good setup
before and after you play the game, everything can be avoided if you know how to handle things the right way, only
exemption is when addiction already exists, and that's another thing.
250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Big is the online gambling industry today? on: July 21, 2023, 12:17:04 PM
Probably the strongest point of humans is our ability to adapt to the environment, and while the pandemic changed the way we did things this did not stop us from actually doing what we wanted, we simply had to find other ways to fulfill our needs, and for those that wanted to gamble but were unable to do so due to the restrictions caused by the pandemic, they found on online gambling the solution to their problems, so it is not surprising that online gambling grew so much in such a short period of time.

Online gambling was already well developed before the pandemic, this was not only due to the fact that restrictions were introduced, it’s just that online gambling is easier and accessible to everyone. You do not need to go somewhere, you just go to the site at home, or even go to the casino from your smartphone in any convenient place and play as much as you want. This is just another stage of development, no more, no less.

It's already exist and established just so happen that during the pandemic the usages of this online services were fully maximized,

and with people acknowledging the comfort and that quick access, they are now adopting and really
utilize the services. Gambling industry achieved more in terms of online access, and for sure with
the kind of setup it will earn more traffics and visits from every gambler who wanted to lessen the
hassle of visiting any offshore casinos.
251  Economy / Economics / Re: Should I Use Emergency funds or Sell my Assets ? on: July 21, 2023, 11:23:53 AM
Emergency funds are what you must use if ever you're in immediate need. If you wanna sell your assets and you want to be liquid, you can sell them as well. You get the point why we're having assets and that's for us to have a cash flow whether we will gain through capital gains or through having a passive income out of it. But if that asset in generating income and you've got an emergency funds, don't sell the asset as it will continuously going to make you money and since you have a back up fund through emergency funds. That's all you need to have.

You always need to weight the situation, like what you have said if you have savings that you can still use better to leave your assets, especially if the assets are providing decent passive income.

Or, if you are expecting good bounce from your asset and the chance of making money in the long run,
you only need to touch that asset if there's no available option, and the situation is something that you
can't ignore and there's a call of urgency.
252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Polygon (MATIC) to $20? on: July 20, 2023, 12:50:50 PM

Agreed it all depends on how and when bitcoin runs.  If bitcoin goes to $500k then Polygon can easily go to $20, it would be an almost equivalent increase in price.  Definitely a bright future ahead for polygon but calculating usd is difficult because a lot of it depends on the bitcoin usd price.
Polygon has different natural and many time its price remain stable with the increase of btc price but still i am agree with you. when btc reach 500k that's mean a large money will be entered into crypto market which will also migrate to top 10 coins and matic will be best choice for trader but this will not in short term because there is no sentiment of happening this. despite btc price soars to 30k ,matic is still struggling Below 1$ which show the less interest of buyers.

Still struggling, meaning to say that for those people who are still believing that this coin will still be pumped,
they still have time to buy and hold.

More on how you think the market will support the project and how the developers will continue to provide
good updates that will gain the interest of long-term investors. It's tough to invest if you are unsure, so make
a good habit of researching and reviewing the project first.

I thought that there is a trade already involving James Harden.

Someone that I talk last night says that he is going to the Bucks in exchange of Holiday. But so far I can't find any news of it so maybe he is just playing with me. Nevertheless I'm going to see him tomorrow so I'm going to tell him that it's not true, Lol.

In any case though, do you guys think that it's a good trade for the Bucks to let go of Jrue to get Harden?

If the bucks is willing to break the chemistry and wanted to re-arrange their system, then it might work out.

But in terms of individuality, I still pick Jrue over Harden, more on a 2-way role player who can shoot and play good defense is
how I'm gonna describe Jrue, while Harden, more on individual stats though there's a slight change since he's more in a passing
type now, but in terms of defense, that's what he's missing, as per my opinion.

256  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight (july15,2023 on: July 20, 2023, 09:53:22 AM
It may work, if Santiago will start slow and observe what style Donaire will use against him.

He might have that chance of beating Donaire if he will not engage in a toe-tot-toe confrontation, though it may boring the
fans if we will see more on defense with a lesser offense.

But, if that's the way how to win against the former champ, why not try your luck and use it? We will see what style
Santiago will use once the fight already takes place.

Santiago could emulate what Rido has done to Donaire when he beat the former, run, run and more running lol.

Rigo is a former Olympian (if my memory serves me right) and his speed is admirable so he could hit and run but i doubt Santiago could do the same, though i have not seen a fight of him but i speculate that he is not that fast.

Donaire is a counter-puncher and yeah, this fight will turn into a snore-feast if Santiago won't come out of his shell but i don't think he would do that as Mexicans are known to be warriors in the ring, they don't run in a fight so expect this fight to be explosive as usual for Donaire and hope the old guy's hand will be raised after the fight.

Unfortunately, Santiago's style differs from Rigo's. He is an aggressive fighter, so I believe it will be hard for him to adapt to a new style and that will give Donaire a chance to execute his game plan effectively. Santiago is a warrior, unlike Rigo, and I believe he has the confidence to potentially knock out Donaire, so he will surely attack.

Taking a chance to aggressively push his way might be good if he converted his attacks.

For sure, it will be tough for both fighters as they'll going to fight each other without really knowledge of what to expect
from one another, surprise attacks or slow start, then attack aggressively when you already weight the opponents' capabilities.
More on how they review old fights and assess if what potential strategy will be executed during the fight.
257  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terrence Crawford vs Errol Spence - July 29 on: July 19, 2023, 11:05:55 AM
^^ Most likely two scenarios,

a. fans who bought the ticket for the Donaire vs Santiago will be refunded full.
b. or they are going to be given the chance to watch it on the reschedule fight.

So everything is building right now, the fans of both in social media are hyping the fight and have their own predictions on how the fight is going to end. I still haven't decided yet. But I might bet as the fight gets closer to the date.

Spence vs. Crawford is practically sold out so option B is out of the question. Donaire vs. Santiago was only a supporting bout, the main event still happened so technically fans got the event they paid for and aren't eligible for a refund either. The only option would have been to resell or transfer your tickets through the Ticketmaster app.

That poses a significant inconvenience for the fans who have already purchased tickets for the Donaire vs Santiago fight. I hope their situation will be taken into consideration. After all, it's not their fault that the fight has been postponed. Valuing the fans should be the top priority, especially when unexpected changes occur. It's crucial to ensure that no issues arise that would upset the fans.

Indeed, it's not the fans' fault, and they should get that consideration.

Though the chance of getting the chance of watching the fight, it's slim as mentioned, the ticket might be sold out now as there are
many fans who would like to witness the unification fights against Crawford and Spence expect that a refund may be the option for
those fans who already bought the early tickets, chance that they will only watch the fight thru PPV.
258  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 19, 2023, 10:46:59 AM
What do you guys think of all this Zach Lavine rumor stuff going on?  I would say it's nonsense, but I listen to Chicago Sports radio on a daily basis and they are starting to say "where there's smoke, there's often fire".  So I think there's a legit chance he does get traded... but what I can't figure out is why on earth they signed Nikola Vucevic if they plan to trade Lavine?

Bulls basketball starting to look real ugly again. SMH

https://sports.yahoo.com/keep-eye-bulls-zach-lavine-170015705.html
And I thought they are now okay with their roster and adding a new point guard will be their only key to restoring their greatness. They got the disabled player exception which is 10 million, I don't think they need to trade him for someone else. Besides, the duo of DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine is getting better in their chemistry, all they need is a bit more patience. It's not their fault they are undermanned without Lonzo Ball, it's part of the game.
Surely, this will wreck their roster if they trade him. He had been the face of their franchise, it's just a matter of time and the right players to make them great again.
I think the Chicago Bulls management is drooling over the Harden and Lillard opening for trade. Trading LaVine + the $10M will give them the possibility to get one of them.

If that's what the Chicago Bulls were thinking, they should think more deeper. Both Lillard and Harden won't gonna help them win a championship. Yes, they're a great offensive player, but not as much defensively plus either of them will mess up the team chemistry.
Trading away Lavine will be their first mistake if that happens.  Instead they should focus on getting a legitimate big man and a spot up shooters who can also play defense, to add more depth to their current roster. Trading away one of their key players will not going to help them win a chip.

I agree to that, they already doing well and break again the chemistries by trading one of their main star is a big mistake.

It's better to have an additional big man and a legitimate shooter to add up and help them in their
campaign, for me, Lavine and DeRozan just need a good role players who can adopt the way they
play and help them in executing both their offense and defense. It's a decision that the management
needs to think twice if they are going to push in trading away Lavine.
259  Economy / Economics / Re: Should I Use Emergency funds or Sell my Assets ? on: July 19, 2023, 10:03:54 AM
We don't know when the emergency will come up, but with the experienced we will start to
anticipate and we will allocate a certain amount to save.

It will help to avoid using your investment or your asset as you have dedicated savings
for any emergency it will cover the needs.

During the Covid pandemic, many people did not have emergency funds for their necessities of life and they hoped for financial assistance from the government to help their finances, due to the poor food conditions and high inflation that occurred in several countries.

So this condition is a warning for us to save funds for emergency purposes, I suggest that savings be kept in gold investments to provide price stability and avoid inflation, gold investments are easy to sell again whenever we need them for emergency purposes, we must have a savings fund 40 % of the total funds to maximize financial management, also to prevent selling our assets.

Good point, but there's always knowledge and understanding that you should carry when you invest your money.

I think in terms of saving or having an emergency funds, you should always think ahead of time,
emergency cases are unpredictable, so saving your spare money is really needed to cover those
possible expenses, take time to read and review all the possible venue to invest in if you are aiming
to grow your save money.

Usually that's why the potential opponent is going to watch the fight live, he is not there to be entertain, but rather see it have either Fulton and Inoue fight and maybe his team can try a strategy or see some weakness that they can exploit.

Indeed, not as viewer but more on a researcher, together with his camp they will be able to find some exploit weaknesses
from both fighters, and they will be able to prepare in case the said unifcation will be deal out.

Watching the fight will give Tapales camp a first hand experience of how Inoue fight and it will greatly enhance their perception in analyzing the videos of previous fight of Inoue.

And I do believed that it will be a setup, that once the winner is announced, Marlon is going up in the ring maybe and ask for a fight.
We will know that after the fight, it's interesting to see him announcing his willingness to unify all the belts.

It is really interesting if either of Inoue or Tapales announce the interest of unifying the belt and become undisputed champion of 122 lbs.

So we will see, I"m seeing a lot of media coverage for this fight and maybe in the final stretch, they will do everything they can to reach fight fans so that they are going to watch this fight.
Yup, media hypes will be expected after the fight, they will attract more viewers to watch out for the next scheduled fight.

Inoue's road to unifying the 122 lbs titles is really a hot trend since he just recently unified and became a undisputed champion of 118 lbs so it is not surprising that the media is fully in attention to this fight.  This is the first step of Inoue's goal of unifying the 122 lbs and the mass media is very interested if he can make such first step.

I believe there is a reason why Marlon Tapales will watch the fight live up close, apart from having the first hand experience to know Fulton and Inoue's strengths and weaknesses, it is still about business because regardless of the result, organizers are already expecting an undisputed fight up next while the hype is still there, especially if Inoue will be held as the new champion at 122 and defeated Fulton.

More on that kind of publicities, enticing the fans after these upcoming fights.

Doesn't matter whoever wins the fight as mentioned, unifying the belts are expected, so Tapales presence will
add hypes when they announce the winner and announce the possible next opponent/fight, with the kind of
hypes. For sure, fans will follow that trend and will push the unification schedule.
