Bitcoin is returning the power of the money back to the people, as the begining, after banks appear and countries get their rules, people exchange anything without any tax or fee between those transaction, bitcoin does charge a small fee if we do see the current fiat system. Bitcoins give me freedom, to use and invest my bitcoins where i do wanna without ask for permission from the bank.
![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) What about use paper money? So you don't need banks... If it's your money, you don't have to ask for permission btw.

It is fast enough in my opinion to be considered one of the best options out there so for sure it is fast but it would still be far better if somehow it could be faster and go to about 6 mins for confirmation-sometimes I wait 10-13 minutes for confirmation which is still nice but it could be really better. It's still good anyway.
Can you imagine the queue in a market if everyone wait 10 minutes? Instead of this, you can put yours Bitcoins in a debit card and do it asap.

Não bate os 800 e todo mundo começa a vender e o preço volta pro que tava... Isso ainda em 2016, na minha opnião se mantem estável em 2017, abaixo do preço atual de 700.

I think the most of us talked with the same amount of people and the aception is very low, me too, I talked to 5-6 people and I think none is using until now, looks like the bitcoin don't have anything to add in their lifes... Also the hacks on exchanges left a bad view(media fault or whatever).
Nice to ready some historys here, people that start to use or well, the simple fact of talk to someone is good.

same question of subject... For how many people you introduced the Bitcoin? And how many still use?

Today I saw some GSM shop that accepts BTC. There are some cafes accept BTC payments. I think world is ready now!
The world neither knows the bitcoin yet, probably the owner is a bitcoin fanatic or something like that. Unfortunately, the world isn't ready and maybe bitcoin isn't ready too...

Actually they can pre-mine the coin and well, if they are creating a coin, for sure they will make things like put your name on the wallet and track all your transactions, don't matter how the future will be, for sure the government will regule your life and you will have to pay taxes.

I'm not saying they are wrong, but I do want to address a problem with those claims:
Alarmists have been saying for centuries (no exaggeration) that technology will wipe out jobs and make it impossible to make a living. Each time, they have been wrong. Technology has lead to increased standards of living and more job creation. Yes, outdated jobs are destroyed, but they are replaced with new, often better paying, ones.
I'm inclined to agree with you, that the alarmist warnings about job destruction are overblown, but the trend is certainly real. Automation and technology reduces the need for human employment. The economy shifts and people find new industries, but this shift is not unlimited. There will not be new jobs simply because there are more unemployed people, there has to be economic need for the employment. Manufacturing jobs are decreasing, and the American economy has adapted with an increase in service jobs, but there is not an unlimited need for service jobs. I think you're saying that with lower than average employment participation rates in the American economy, even though the economy has largely "recovered" and continues to improve. With that said, I think the alarmist warning is overblown because this is a trend that, while accelerating, still takes decades to play out. We're not in danger of having massive unemployment on account of technology in the next 10 or 20 years, though it certainly gets incrementally worse as time goes on. I dont know why do you want to sell everything to gether i dont know why you want that because selling everything means that you cant hold some for later when the price of the bitcoin is going to rise allot you know! You can invest this money in other thing more rentable and well, we never know, tomorrow Bitcoin can disapear or the price can go to $1 USD again also some people need this money for some reason and can't hold it for a longer time...

it was an experiment that went right bitcoin was created as an alternative to fiat money blockchain technology in itself is more important than bitcoin,IMHO as it gave birth to many more ideas and businesses besides bitcoin
I have the same thought, blockchain is always more important than Bitcoin... Bitcoin is just an example of what blockchain can do. And well, now we can make transactions in a fast way without banks.

Is bitcoin one new step for success? Well, for users that are hard worker, have patience and if they wanted to it, i would answer it as yes. Yes bitcoin can be one step to be a person become successful, but it only depends on a person if he wanted to be successful. Bitcoin is a one way on how to be successful because it is a great source of income nowadays.
Frankly speaking, bitcoin is not a source of income, it was created as a currency and not a job, whatever we are earning here, that is because a certain company that we are promoting is paying us bitcoins for our effort, and anyone can do that and even pay us fiat if they prefer, beside most of us here when we receive bitcoin we are just going to convert it to fiat. If you are earning money with trades or just holding, yes, it can be a source of income... We are just converting into fiat because we can't find places to spend bitcoin, like pay bills, and others basic things.

People talking about casinos... Well, maybe it can give a profit to you, but it doesn't give anything new...
Maybe you can open exchanges in countries where it doesn't have it yet... Or make something new, that's what the Bitcoin need.
