241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No ICO, Mining, Exchange, etc. In John McAfee's Freedom Coin, What Use Is It on: July 08, 2020, 06:36:54 PM
John McAfee is planing to launch his own freedom coin according to this news https://www.cryptoinformers.info/news/154-john-mcafee-plan-to-launch-his-freedom-cryptocurrency but there will be no ICO, no Exchange and no mining, please I want to ask, what use is it?
You know he is a big influencer in this sector and he knows how to attract money from all these kinds of ventures and coins also he has private investors that can invest millions on his name, you saw recently he launched a privacy based coin solely with partnerships from other networks people were unsure of that coin being accepted by the market but everyone saw that it performed well so being a brand and influencer means alot in this space.
242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stablecoins are never perfectly stable on: July 08, 2020, 06:10:09 PM
A cryptocurrency being a stablecoin does not mean that the price is literally perfectly stable. It means that there's an effort to stabilize the price as much as possible. Different stablecoins use different methods to stabilize their price. Some peg the value to some other relatively stable asset like the dollar, gold or sliver. Others attempt to stabilize the price themselves by regulating the circulating supply in relation with market capital so that the price stays stable.
Stablecoins that are not regulated and backed by govt would face some hard time in future as every country will be coming up with their own central bank digital currencies and they will act as the official stablecoins so all other stablecoins will be in trouble then. I think it is high time people be a little cautious and try to stay in crypto untill situation becomes clear regarding stablecoins.
243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: NEW STYLE OF CAMPAIGN on: July 08, 2020, 04:56:10 PM
I was going through the bounty session and saw this campaign https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5254541, on the signature campaign, it says you should give 4hrs gap between post, I feel this is not too good for signture campaigners who have always been use to freedom to posting and spreading across 3-5 days. However, with the WhaleHavens rule of 4hrs gap to post, one can still make 6 post per day. Reducing it to 3 post per day spread over 12hrs is still very possible and viable but limits one freedom to make meaningful contribution on the forum. I feel the clause of only 4hrs post gap will be eligible for stakes count should have been specified. A look at the signature spreadsheet shows that about 90 percent of applicants were rejected.

What do you think of the rules of the BM? I understand he is trying to curtain burst posting and spam.

Earlier it was 12 hours gap requirement after complains and low participants they have reduced time but i think if the purpose is to stop burst posting then 1 hour gap between each post was more than enough. It is quite tough to follow such harsh rules when you know reward is going to be low so encourage people to join and ease participation for them rather than discouraging them with dictator like rules.
244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will it take for crypto payment to go mainstream? on: July 08, 2020, 02:52:21 PM
From careful observation, it's becoming clear that it may be hard for crypto to go mainstream without the involvement of the payment sector. Whenever we talk about cryptocurrency payment, we quickly want to adopt Bitcoin. I think we are all getting it wrong here considering Bitcoin's high transaction fee and relatively longer confirmation time compared to other crypto stablecoins or other faster crypto assets.

My personal take, however, is that, for crypto to go mainstream and the impact felt, the focus needs to pivot a bit away from Bitcoin. Yes, it is the first crypto, but at its present state, it definitely cannot fit into every area. This is my opinion, if you have something contrary, I will definitely love to hear them.
Although we are moving towards this goal but to speed the process up, the potent stimulants include:
Regulatory approval of cryptocurrencies all across the world.
Investor and user condfidence in this tech.
Easy to use applications that make payments as easy as 1 or 2 clicks.
Ease of business and mass awareness to businesses and retailers about crypto and crypto payments.
No or low crypto taxation and simple rules to fill crypto tax.
Easy to use interfaces and member accounts. People do not like complex or technical looking paltforms so simplest apps needs to come up so that common man finds it easy to use.
245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why is Cardano so ignored on Bitcointalk? 2020 will be the year for Cardano! on: July 07, 2020, 02:24:33 PM
Is there a reason why Cardano is so ignored on Bitcointalk.org and even bashed by times? I have done years of research and picked Cardano among a number of other altcoins to invest in and was never worried of "failing deadlines", a "narcistic Charles Hoskinson" or "no use-cases but only a wallet" statements.

Ask yourself the question, why would one invest in something? The golden rule regarding investing in something is that it is (or should be) able to add value to the current value of it, e.g. stocks, real estate, commodities, etc, etc)
Investing or speculating in an altcoin is a highly risky investment with on the other side a potential enormous reward. Mass adoption is still not the case and it will take years before some adoption from the wider public and more investments from institutional investors will drive up the prices of some altcions. Eventually only altcoins with the best tech, best use cases and best marketing will survive and will work together with companies, governments, banks, etc, when it comes to adoption and the value of these altcoins will rise dramatically.

So, now Cardano. Why is this project/altcoin so ignored while it
- has argumently the best underlying tech of all altcoins including one of the most TPS
- is peer-reviewed by the highest standards so every product roll-out will be flawless as possible
- is finally delivering in 2020 (Shelly, partnerships, possibilty of creating smart contracts, etc)
- is rolling out marketing end of 2020

Is it really beacuase Charles Hoskinson left Ethereum and started Cardano and this sub is Ethereum minded?
Don't miss the opportunity when you missed the bitcoin train; Cardano has a good chance to become the new standard for crypto technology and adaption by DEFI's and smart contracts.
You are right, Cardano is gearing up for big updates throughout this year, recently they have implemented 'Shelley'which is considered a success so overall i am really bullish for cardano and remember previous all time high was around $1.2 so this time around new peak can easily be around $4-$5 easily. Coinbase custody has already announced staking for ada later this year and i think it will also be available in general coinbase wallet so we can expect more pumps soon.
246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Identity Features in blockchain technology. Has anyone tried it already? on: July 07, 2020, 12:49:29 PM
We already have a lot of dApps and projects related to id verification and kyc purposes but a separate blockchain network for this purpose sounds innovative and especially if it gets implemented at mass level including banks it will be huge and will also have a positive effect on crypto market due to its underlying technology which will be same as crypto.
247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Back then and Now, lesson learnt on: July 07, 2020, 11:45:20 AM
I don't know if some newbies are still doing this today, if you are you'd better stop right now. Many new coins can be easily mined through a single CPU or GPU but 90% of them are trash coins, you need to understand how important use cases are.

In the old days, three to four years back I was so obsessed with new coins simply because they are easy to acquire, mining them is easy and difficulty are low, this got me blind so I started mining coins without getting into good research first, I ended up with coins like

1. MarketCash
2. NiobioCash
3. Worktips
4. Spotme
5. Gadcoin

And so on.....
These coins are all dead or useless right now, few are trading back then but I was too dump to sell and buy better coins.

Today I asked myself why did I do that back then, I guess it's because I never knew the difference of high quality projects and why some coins make it to top 100, If you are reading this make this your targets

The importance of real use case

I remember how i used to tell friends about these new and useless coins back then and they were also excited to mine or invest in such coins but i always suggested them not to do so because these are just superficial kind of projects that will just take your money and nothing else they are also regretting now and the best thing, i agree is to stay in top coins atleat 90% of your holdings should be top coins and with 10% you can try new good looking projects.
248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Extraordinary performance of ether price on: July 05, 2020, 07:11:01 PM
It is july here mate and you have posted an old post from june i guess, anyways i fundamentally agree with the point that eth is potentially much more bullish in coming months especially considering the upcoming pos and eth 2.0 launch so i place eth as a high return coin from here on.
249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [Bounty]Felicium - Up to €300K to be distributed - 🔴Direct buyback after sale🔴 on: July 05, 2020, 04:37:41 PM
I think you need to come up with a comprehensive bounty campaign just like you must have seen in this section of the forum, as this thread lacks clarity about the tasks you are interested so i fear this way you will not be able to attract a lot of active users, just my suggestion.
250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A public chain born for DeFi on: July 05, 2020, 02:59:57 PM
Hi,

I have been engaged in blockchain-related development since 2013, and some projects are very successful; some are not.

I have been developing my public chain in my idea (for some reason you understand: Product manager rush for quick success, or just do not understand and blindly command) due to that It's a bear market and not busy with work, It is a  public chain born for DeFi.

The public chain has been developed for one and half year now. I also learned from MakerDAO, BinanceDEX, DASH, Here is a big thanks for their developers. Smiley

The biggest feature of the public chain is to manage the wallet  by Threshold Signature Scheme and very simple cross-chain.
Of course, there are many other features, which are not listed here, and will be given in the subsequent white paper.

Now that the development is basically reach my target,It's time to say hello to the world. Cheesy

Please leave me a message if you like it.
Questions are welcome.

By the way ,I am in Australia.

Thanks all!
I will just suggest you to come up with a complete blockchain and project to standout from other projects and then as soon as you will announce your project it will be received well. Also work on the registration, licensing and legal aspects of your project, i am sure it will do well as DeFi is a proven new trend in the crypto space and it is here to stay.
251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is cost-reduction attractive enough for businesses to use blockchain? on: July 05, 2020, 01:10:27 PM
In an uncertain economy when every penny counts, even the smallest increase in revenue or reduction in expenses can have an impact on company profitability. It's often simple, common sense steps that improve the bottom line, especially for a small business.

Recently, Symbol from NEM will allow businesses to tap into a next generation blockchain ecosystem that helps to reduce costs, while also maintaining the highest levels of speed, efficiency, security and flexibility. Features such as Consensus Mechanism, customization and flexibility, etc. The good thing is that it retains the community focus and character of decentralization that NEM has become renowned for, therefore making their new token (XYM) to reach great potential.

As we approach mid-year, this is a good time to step back and have these businesses look carefully with their practices. Is this the perfect time to get them introduced to blockchain technology?

Absolutely great time to research about blockchain technology and how it can benefit their businesses, once entrepreneurs and business houses understand the underlying tech only then they will move to adapt it and it is not only about cost reduction it can help improve efficiency, it can help reduce corruption as you can track each process so it makes business transparent also by use of blockchain tech you can automate several procedures etc. So it is the best time to upgrade to blockchain technology.
252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Brave browser CEO apologizes for automatically adding affiliate links to cryptoc on: July 05, 2020, 11:16:53 AM
This is the type of act that causes everyone outside of this community to judge that everything in the cryptospace is a scam. This is very embarassing because it was reported by a mainstream website and a very deceiving act from a for privacy browser.

Brendan Eich, founder of Brave

Brave, the open-source browser designed to prioritize privacy by blocking third-party ads and trackers, is facing criticism from users for redirecting URLs from cryptocurrency companies to affiliate links that Brave profits from, Decrypt reported.

A Twitter user spotted the redirect when he typed “binance.us” into the Brave search bar, and the browser autocompleted it to “binance.us/en?ref=35089877.” Both URLs go to the same page, but the affiliate link at the end can be used to track users and generate income. Many websites, including Vox Media and The Verge, use affiliate links, but most are transparent about doing so.

Although almost all of the media outlets dot hat but brave being a browser should not have done that i mean it is just a very big platform and it has its ad ecosystem and revenue generation so why would they even be looking to capture affiliate income which would be pennies considering the scope of brave ecosystem itself, anyways we should give them the chance to correct themselves now.

254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your thoughts on DeFi fund losses? on: July 04, 2020, 02:35:00 PM
Few DeFi projects still lose money due to security hacks for each example balancer lost 500,000 worth of ETH to a hacker weeks ago, this shows that not all DeFi projects are capable of keep users funds safe, this is not the only problem I'm worried about, scammers have not even start building fake DeFi projects yet, maybe this DeFi story will end up like ICO hype of 2017? What's your thoughts on this?
Yes dear, there is always risk involved in any kind of new financial ecosystem especially when we talk about DeFi projects although they are good addition because community wants to see decentralized projects taking over but at the same time they are risky because they are not regulated and the game depends on codes and contracts when any hacker or breacher can take advantage, the best thing that can happen is that all these DeFi projects come up with an advanced security protocol or layer where they can be safe of all kinds of threats.
255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: should i invest to this project ? on: July 04, 2020, 11:29:28 AM
Hi , I have never invested for a project , i need to invest for a project and i have an idea to invest on this project - https://curioinvest.com/car/4
But i need your opinions about this project ? Is it a Scam project ?
Will it be Profitable for me ?

As a newbie and having no idea where to invest i would suggest you to be extra careful because there are alot of fake or scam projects out there so it is better for you to stay in btc or eth at the moment untill you find a high quality project to invest.
256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Justin Sun and Oikos Price Dump!!! on: July 04, 2020, 09:41:04 AM
Hello Guys, few days ago there was a Tweet from the founder of the Tronix Blockchain Justin Sun talking about the new Defi project launch in Tron blockchain.... Oikos, he said he has no connection with the project and warn people to be careful with their investment, now oks price went really down after that tweet,

-Do you guys think this is the reason why price is down?

-And do you also think crypto space is very fragile even something as simple as a single tweet from someone like Sun is enough to cause damage to a project?

Please share your opinion.
Absolutely, market has been like that from start that even a tweet or announcement can cause market to pump or dump for a specific coin but i think oikos is an independent project just like there are hundreds of tokens and projects on ethereum network that does not mean vitalik buterin endorses them or even knows them same goes for tron network, i am not following oikos if you think it is a quality project hold on and price will recover.
257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CRYPTO.COM Listing on Atomars Exchange on: July 04, 2020, 09:04:41 AM
Crypto.com, a known pioneering payments and cryptocurrency company that aims to encourage the world’s adoption of cryptocurrency gets listed on the Atomars Exchange. This listing is probably one of the best the exchange have had so far, because of crypto.com's goal to bridge the gap between digital currencies and their application in the real world which also a problem that the crypto world has yet to solve.

Supported trading pairs are RO/BTC, CRO/ETH, and CRO/USDT.
You can trade it if you go to https://atomars.com/
Official News: https://t.me/AtomarsOfficial/193

Never heard about atomars exchange, is it established and reputed exchange? If they do not have bigger volume than where cro is already listed then there is no real benefit of listing cro at a small new exchange, in my opinion.
258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beware of fake gold backed tokens on: July 03, 2020, 10:43:56 PM
I'm forced to create this topic today because it's getting annoying how some new developers are creating gold backed tokens on this forum, please listen to me, some use cases are foul play in crypto space and gold backed tokens are one of them, many so called devs are building tokens but they have no proof that those tokens are backed by any gold yet some investors believed them, it's all lies, open your eye people...

The only way I can trust a token that's backed by real gold is if the project is from a gold company, verified and certified, I'm talking about well known real gold companies like

1. Kinross Gold
2. GoldCorp
3. Agnico-eagle mines  e.t.c

These are examples of real life gold companies, stand for the truth and stop promoting or patronizing unrealistic crypto projects
I think it is high time that such fiat or gold backed tokens should post the registration certificate with local SEC in there country and also the confirmatory documents that prove that the country is holding fiat or gold against each token that can be verified. If these steps are not taken scammers will keep taking advantage of the situation and will keep scamming the community.
259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Emotion management is one of the key to successful trading. on: July 03, 2020, 10:30:17 PM
Trading requires having a solid guidlines and discipline. One of the hardest thing to overcome in trading is emotions because it mostly lead to many losses. This is a bigger problem than trade going against you. An important thing is to  only trade with what you can afford to lose,  accept that trading is not getting a quick rich scheme.  When you deposit money on an exchange, you accept losing it all but also you’ll do your best for it not to happen knowing how much  it will take for you to get that money. Fix your risk per trade percentage  and don't go all in a trade with your full capital. Do not be pushed to increase your trade stake when you are in profit to maximize it or recover your losses. This is the emotion that you should curb to make it in trading.
I have tried to trade different markets but to be honest you just cannot put emotions to a side and i have noticed that as soon as you enter a trade a good level of stress surrounds you and you literally start checking price every minute which is not a great thing for that reason i have switched to crypto market where we can just invest and hold good coins and wait for market to give us good results.
260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Cash A Better Crypto To Invest? on: July 03, 2020, 10:10:32 PM
Well!! Bitcoin cash is one of the most popular crypto in the cryptocurrency market, as a lot of experts have been predicted on bitcoin cash.

According to Several experts bitcoin cash price prediction the price will go up in 2020 and investing in bitcoin cash gives a better return on investment.

What's you
r take on this?
To be honest bitcoin cash is continuously losing value since market has realized that it is not the real btc in the start Roger Ver presented it as the real bitcoin and hyped it up with super marketing and i still remembered it pumped over 4k which was insane, now only if he comes up with some dramatic tactics only then it can grow otherwise things seem difficult for bch.
