2401  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-04-18] Telegram Uses Bitcoin in Effort to Thwart Russian Authorities on: April 19, 2018, 08:03:44 AM
I'm watching this one closely
Durov announced that he would issue bitcoin grants to VPN and Proxy services that allow users to circumvent the restrictions
then today russian goverment said that there will be no witch hunt after users who continue to download and use telegram
the whole thing comes to one point: Russia is concerned about the possible Orange revolution scenarios, similar to Arab spring
where the coordination was organised through the social media and messengers
seeing that their country is under pressure now,I'm sure they will go through with  the ban, even if Durov claims it is technically impossible
security concerns are high,so ISP's and VPN services owners will be monitored closely and the only thing is clear-the user base will migrate to some different messengers eventually
Russian authorities wish to avoid orange revolution scenarios, of course, however they are able to supress any kind of rebel by military power, Putin has created his own troops so called Rosguardia (russian guards) for such scenario.
They constantly fight for people's minds, they reqruit mercenaries among inspired spectators of a military parade, I have seen it by myself. They have created shitty TamTam, which is messenger similar to Telegram, to pull the blanket on themselves.
However I doubt that Pavel Durov is fighting for people's privacy and freedom, if so then why Telegram application takes access to users IMEI, SMS, calls etc.?

if you believe that P.Durov is fighting for anything but his business and profits (or potentially, military agenices' contracts from the likes of ANB,CIA and such)
you are grossly mistaken, people's freedom is a myth and a pretext to try and protect his 7%+  share of the audience
as for Russia supressing everything by military power, you have to understand how these revolutions work
military power means nothing if the ones who command it and I don't mean Putin or Shoigu here
do not respond to orders, they say generals in Iraq  took 3 mil $ bribes and you can see the results yourself

2402  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-04-13] Billionaire Tim Draper Sets $250,000 Bitcoin Price Target for 2022 on: April 18, 2018, 05:57:00 PM
possible in two scenarios only:
1.bitcoin adoption is shooting through the roof, almost all major chains, companies, banks etc. accept bitcoin
most of the countries recognise it is an asset and it is traded alongside oil, gold, silver and so on
2.us dollar takes a grand nosedive due to a war, default or any other reason, fiat currencies are no longer seen as the only legal tender

both scenarios are higly unlikely in this short amount of time to happen, but never discount a black swan event that could change the whole landscape
to predict is to rule,so be prepared for any scenario
and of course,he is a bull,so it is his job to make outlandish predictions like that
2403  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-04-17] The Gvt Dilemma: How To Tax Something One Pretends Does Not Exist on: April 18, 2018, 03:54:57 PM
pretty easily, just get certain laws in place, define cryptocurrency as money or asset, tax
nothing too complicated, the problem is how to monitor that the taxes have been paid in full
for that the institutions like IRS and similar would have to trace blockchain and exchanges
and we see this process is going on as we speak-Coinbase surrendered client's data,Japan forces exchanges like Binance to comply with their new  more stringent KYC rules etc.
no way in hell goverments would pass on this golden opportunity to squeeze extra from the populace
some are doing it already, those that cannot simply banning cryptocurrencies, which is a stupid move from my point of view

2405  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-04-18] Suspect From Iceland Bitcoin Miner Theft Escapes Prison on: April 18, 2018, 02:00:42 PM
Hmmmm.. and the plot thickens. How can a big time suspect, one of the largest theft in Iceland's history was able to escape and was even boarded a plan, getting out of the country? Do Iceland's prison not that adaptable for criminals because there are few crimes in the country? LOL. I least immigration should be flag as well, because he is a high profile criminal{perhaps he change identify), but still I can't fathom how the guys escape and how the police is a tad late because he was able to get out of the country that quick. And why the suspect not considered dangerous? I mean he is a criminal so it doesn't make sense that the police can simply not think of him as dangerous and not have malicious intent to hurt those who pursue him.

fascinating indeed, the largest event in icelandic history and they manage to screw up badly
also 2 mil $ shows how much crime goes on in Iceland ,no wonder the guards were not sure what to do haha
lesson one: do not mine in Iceland, lesson two-if you pursue a criminal career, start in Iceland  Grin
2406  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-04-16] Buyer Loses $278,000 USD in Bitcoin Robbery on: April 18, 2018, 11:38:52 AM
not the first one and, sadly, not the last one,but the sum is somewhat outrageously high
this guy must have been nuts to carry that much money with him first place and you cannot just trade 278k$ in cash for bitcoins and expect not to be robbed
there were similar stories the place where I live, involving Localbitcoins traders
the scheme was simple yet very effective: a criminal rents an appartment ground floor with two exits
arranges a meeting with a buyer (cash only of course) then under the pretext of checking the notes, goes to the back room and disappears with the money through the fire exit
the sums were around 12k $ total
2407  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-04-15] Will Coinbase Report My Bitcoin Gains to the IRS? on: April 17, 2018, 02:30:19 PM
Coinbase definitely will report, have no doubt about it
this sector is too fat to be overlooked by the authorities
but I don't think you should run and pay your taxes unless asked too,for many countries it is a grey area
if you live in the US,then yeah, maybe you would be better off paying them
and even then it differs from state to state
2408  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-04-16] Coinbase Acquires Earn.com for an Estimated $100 Million on: April 17, 2018, 01:36:11 PM
IMO this acquisition will attract more people to use Earn, considering the number of Coinbase users out there. It would be interesting to see what will happen next ~ Coinbase + Earn.com

Coinbase blog: Welcome Balaji Srinivasan, Coinbase’s new Chief Technology Officer
Earn.com blog: Earn.com joins Coinbase

or maybe Coinbase will learn how not to congest the mempool
and not to undermine their own business due to incompetence:
https://btcmanager.com/coinbase-fire-bitcoin-mempool-spamming/
https://www.ccn.com/coinbase-criticized-spamming-bitcoin-mempool-ceo-responds/
but all in  all its a good move for both parties, although I would rather see more big players like Coinbase emerge so they won't not become a monopoly in this sector
2409  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com | The Bitcoin Casino | Plinko, Mines, Blackjack, Roulette + 8 more 👽 on: April 17, 2018, 10:20:56 AM
We're finally near completion of accepting altcoins at stake. We're doing final testing and will hopefully accept Ethereum this week! What coins do you want to see added?

Etherium,Litecoins,Dogecoins are the top ones to be added first IMHO
Monero and Dash would be nice to add,at some point later
not sure if there are new coins that deserve to be added, but for the owner I would look at the number of potential whales wagering in that coin(s) and the ease of integration
maybe have a look at Zcash,Peercoin and even, forgive me Lord,Bitcoin cash?
2410  Economy / Gambling / Re: Australia banned gambling. Who's left? on: April 17, 2018, 09:23:58 AM
Australia didn't ban bitcoin gambling per se,everything non-sport related betting was illegal long ago
so this article has nothing to do with reality
also even if it is illegal,it cannot be enforced if you want to gamble at home, unless they put some sophisticated ISP level filters
and snoop your traffic, which is outrageous in itself
but if there are australian based casinos, they must comply,i.e. they cannot get licensed there and won't accepr AU users (but none said you could not use VPN,right?)
2411  Economy / Gambling / Re: NitroDice.com - Welcome to the new era of DICE GAMING! on: April 16, 2018, 06:02:13 PM
-snip-

very nice catch,Darkstar, was pretty sure the new site like that would never get this much betting volume
you prooved it to me,lets wait for the owner to come and try to refute
I'm more than sure that there are less real players there, who would bother to rent a VPS to be able to bet if any reasonable whale would simply
go and deposit to a trusted site with proven bankroll (like Primedice,Yolodice,Bitsler,Betking etc. etc.)
2412  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲 DiceSites.com - List of dice sites w/ statistics, graphs & verifiers on: April 16, 2018, 03:10:16 PM
Why is PrimeDice not on your weekly top 10 now?

it is now, unless my eyes betray me
Primedice was upgraded to Primedice5 version during this week,so maybe their wagered total wasn't on par
other than that there should be no reson for it not to be top 10,it is topping the charts currently,by the way
wonder how Bustadice is 0.7% EV investors profit, they seem to be -5 btc down total, rough times

LOTTERY ROUND 150
This round, the winner with the lowest number of tickets is #1 with 246 tickets.
He won 1.92400046 BTC.
Woah!

Congratulation with that lucky guy. I cant imagine hitting up 1.9 btc jackpot can get through with just 246 tickets. Imagine? Shocked Have seen some cost millions or hundreds thousand of tickets but still can able to get that honey pot. What a nasty prize and what a lucky player.

Congrats to the winner! This is an unimaginable luck to win 1.9 BTC with just 246 tickets. It would be nice if he/she appeared here sharing their story, but I understand that not all people know English good enough for that and also maybe not everyone wants to brag about their winnings. Anyway, I've just purchased 300 tickets for the next round. Let's see what happens. Smiley

positive thinking Betwrong Smiley I have to check my mail more often, maybe it was me with 246 tickets... wait wasn't me,damn Smiley
but this kind of luck is what make others want to try and participate in this lottery
it doesn't cost much also you can enter captcha for free and get free tickets
almost 2 bitcoins can be lifechanging for some people, very happy for the lucky dude (or dudette)!

https://forum.stake.com/topic/7515-%F0%9F%8F%86-008-btc-power-of-the-pegasus-hilo-challenge/

2415  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin FREEROLL at Fantasy Factor on: April 16, 2018, 10:34:37 AM
$ 5? is not the gift too small? I think you should increase the number of prizes to be more interesting ,, I just go in and see the look of your site ,,. it looks good and interesting but I have not been interested to register ,, because the prize is too minimal ,, sorry I criticize about this

don't look a gift horse in the mouth Smiley
there are so many promos at the site and the entry costs are 0.01-1$ hence the low prizes
5$ is a small prize but it is free to enter and doesn't take more than 10 minutes to do so too
granted I'm not very familiar with the league so I took random players, haha you can click on auto lineup and it fills the positions automatically
p.s. never mind,it doesn't allow me to submit my entry, says I cannot perform monetary actions this time freeroll-what monetary actions are we talking about?

2416  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: April 16, 2018, 09:58:15 AM
Oh okay... so it is normal that I'm getting half reward. Alright. Thanks.
uhm.. can I ask another question?
How did I get this status of getting half rewards? Was it actually due to my use of rewards points? (I was getting full rewards before I used rewards points). Also, how do I get back to full rewards status? Do I just use the site normally and I'd get to full rewards over the course of time? or do I stop visiting for a while?

We made some changes.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=320959.msg33423133#msg33423133

In simple terms, we had to halve the reward to make it unprofitable to run botnets but if you gamble, buy lottery tickets and/or keep a higher balance then it goes up back to the old level.
I don't think it was due to using RP but you'll get more value from them if you get back to full reward first.

interestingly enough,2fa emails from freebitcoin are going to spam folder now
using gmail,no idea why is that
as for the changes, seems like I haven't gambled enough or had enough on my balance for it to go back to normal
wonder how much does one have to keep on his balance for it to go back to normal?
2417  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitGame.online | Bitcoin Casino | We've launched new game - Lucky 7 slot!!!!!!!! on: April 16, 2018, 07:50:37 AM
Nice site to play, Kindly increase the faucet Smiley Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

they have one of the highest faucets out there
what can be done though is to make it tiered like wager dependant
or league point dependant or whatever way you see fit,to encourage people to wager more
I can agree that the site is very nice to play at,but one thing is slightly annoying: you have to refresh after some period of inactivity
and Cloudflare takes a few seconds to refresh too, maybe it is just on my end it doesn't like my IP or something like that
2418  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE - 🎲🎲🎲 Treasure Chest Is Back! 🎰🎰🎰 on: April 16, 2018, 07:32:37 AM
Bitcoin seems to be getting the most big betting action lately:

thats the second 50.000$ + bet I see in a short period of time that was successful
the 12 btc bet was crazy, this one is not far behind
can't believe people are risking so much and frankly, not many sites see highrollers like that
even PD and other dice sites have HR bets way lower
what is the max bet amount at Bitdice again? 20 btc,40 btc?
2419  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | Creators of Dicing 🎲 | 20 Billion Bets | 112+ BTC Jackpot! on: April 15, 2018, 01:13:17 PM
I don't know about you guys,but my browser,magically
displays everything correctly now
no refresh after every bet is yay! one lil thing to fix- #getfaucetback! Smiley
just kidding, won't make any difference anyways, but think VIPS got to recieve some recognition,at least #getviptagsback

My browser still gives me the same problem as before. Can you tell us what you did to make it work as expected? I use chrome browser btw.

I'm using Firefox latest,I cleared browser cache and cookies that belonged to Primedice
after browser restart same things were happening= screen blackout after every roll
I did it a few times over and over,literaly 3-4 times,restarting everytime
then I rebooted my PC,after that the bug disappeared
not sure if the same procedure will help you,but it did help me

Seriously, why would we do it several times? If you clear the cache and cookies once, there wont be anything left for that and how do you do it multiple times? Do you access the site again after clearing it once? Doesnt really make sense to me . I tried to clear it once and restarted my PC but same thing happened and I felt tired accessing it again

I said it worked for me,no idea why
I didn't say it would for you or gave any scientifically sound explanation why it had for me either
why several times? because I checked after each time
clear cache,cookies-test,restart browser-test,remove extensions-test
nothing worked until I rebooted my PC,then it started to work, magically
after all I'm not Primedice's tech guy or a support,so don't vent your frustration on me
2420  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin makes money on: April 14, 2018, 07:54:52 PM
why should not I expect to get rich through bitcoins (or any new technology)?
the main reason that is driving this world forward is greed, new technologies and bitcoins
are one of the easiest ways to get rich, these are new money in the making, compared to the "old money"-banking,businesses,etc.
a simple example - bitcoin price went up thousands of times,if you invested in it early, you are rich already
same goes with everything that you have better information about than the vast majority of others
information is a resource in the modern world, those who control get rich or powerful,or both
