2401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's going to make it? on: September 25, 2013, 04:27:13 AM
OSC, NAN, DGC, SRC, ARG, MEC, ANC, CAP, FRK will all make it. the rest will all wither and die because they have no real dev support other than people paid to work on them
2402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Nanotokens 3.0 Info Thread on: September 25, 2013, 04:21:41 AM

2403  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Easiest way to get btc? on: September 25, 2013, 03:33:14 AM
scamming is the quickest way to get bitcoins. the second quickest method is extortion. the third quickest method paypal. the fourth quickest method is moneypak. the 5th quickest method is coinbase or campbx, the 6th quickest method is mining the seventh quickest method is faucets, and the final, slowest method is Mt. Gox.
2404  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Same Hashing Power: Bitcoin or Litecoin? on: September 25, 2013, 03:30:28 AM
Which one yields more profit? With same hashing power, mining Bitcoin or Litecoin?

bitcoin obviously.

litecoin- 1/100th efficiency of bitcoin because litecoin uses the inneficient scrypt algorithm. bitcoin: asics use far less power per m/h than do gpus. therefor bitcoin is more profitable. anyone who says otherwise is a waste of air.
2405  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Satoshi Forest shows potential power of BTC community! on: September 24, 2013, 08:57:27 AM
this is a great idea. i for one would like to see bitcoin as a whole take up a charitable cause: all tx fee's, or 1% of block subsidy paid to homeless and other charities, similar to the way devcoin works.

That would be bad feature, let the people decide what to do with their BTC !

greedy pestulent fool, please recognize that paying it forward goes along way to paving the road to legitimacy and mass adoption of bitcoin that we all dream of. people love a good story

am i banned from future loan requests(in light of my recent confessions)
2407  Economy / Services / Re: Get paid weekly for your signature on: September 24, 2013, 07:18:59 AM
i think some of my fellow participants in this signature bounty are shills. i think an investigation needs to be made. the posts of half of the accounts here look as if they were made by bots

I think a lot of people do that, unfortunately.  It would definitely be a pain in the ass to search through everyone's posts and then weed out the spammers, though.

Yeah, the 'no trolling' policy was to try and fight against that... its just that it would be a massive effort for me to look through everyones posts and police it, I don't have time to do that every week.

I'd appreciate it if anyone called out these suspicious posters (PM would be fine, i'll keep you anonymous)

Witch hunt time? Witch hunt time.

I'd start with the confirmed scammers advertising your link. Like, r3wt (thanks buddy for suggesting this!)

if Seal's got a problem with my trust rating he'll talk to me about it.

i've seen it. it just wasn't interesting enough for me to care about or recall a dialogue from Pulp Fiction on the otherhand, i can quote it word for word from the opening scene.

"But you know what's on my mind right now? It ain't the coffee in my kitchen, it's the dead nigger in my garage."

"You feel that sting big boy, thats pride fuckin' with ya' "

"click-clack"

"toss the weapon and step to the counter"

"listen, mr this don't concern you."

"toss the weapon, take your foot off the nigger and step to the counter"

All green of skin... 800 centuries ago, their bodily fluids include the birth of half-breeds. For the fundamental truth self-determination of the cosmos, for dark is the suede that mows like a harvest.

What the HELL does that mean

2415  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nanotokens: Help Needed on: September 24, 2013, 02:51:38 AM
Just throwing this out there. r3wt you are actually one of the most active devs I've seen here. You seemed to have learned a lot through the coins you have made. Each One has been significantly better than the previous. Osc actually looks and functions pretty nicely. If you wouldn't always come off as being shady and seem to always be trying to get one over on people I think your projects would do much better. Not that it matters, just my opinion.

your opinion does matter. i think that the most active dev is probably Gavin Anderson and i would say that Kimoto is very active as well(pretty smart too).

When it comes to the perception of me as being "shady" t's a very simple concept that perception equals reality. I've done dirt, don't get me wrong, but i think that perception is often skewed and in most cases around here rooted in fallacy and hearsay. people like to hire us for dirt cheap to make their scam coins and boss us around all day long, like we aren't earning our keep. the sheer time i spent on gascoin and the time constraints that were placed upon me to get it done by x date, led me to dropping that premine in there. i never agreed with the concepts of the coin nor the technical specifications that were more or less demanded, so my only possible other motivation was monetary gain. sure i did wrong, but there is two sides to every story and two sides to every persons face, whether it be on a forum or in real life. I admit to what i've done because i simply do not care that it be known.

Often times when i've took advantage of people ie attempted to scam them, it was because i didn't like there attitude or how they conducted themselves in the forum. i'm a man who believes in respecting others whether they be dumb as a box of rocks or sharp as tack. as long as i am shown respect by others i will respect them, no matter whether i agree or disagree with their opinions, religion, moral leanings, sexual orientation, political allegiances, the coins they support, the coins they have made, the music they listen to, etc.

beaocoin sounds like B.O. coin= body odor coin  Smiley

be-ao-coin

be (pronounced b)

ao (prounounced ot)

= b-ot-coin, or the chinese term biot which means fiat. google translate is wrong.
2417  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nanotokens: Help Needed on: September 24, 2013, 01:50:42 AM
Have you offered a bounty? That might help motivate someone to help you. It seems you have a lot riding on nano tokens getting fixed.

no. i don't have any money. what i'm asking doesn't require any work. maybe 5 minutes spent typing an answer on the keyboard. lets be clear here,  i do have alot riding here, but i won't let that dictate whether i offer a bounty. i'm already fixing it out of pocket anyway, which is a thankless job. i don't have much i could offer anyway. got about .01 btc, 11,000 pennies, 400 OSC and 4 litecoins, so i'm not exactly rolling in the dough.

Didn't you have almost 1.2 BTC from your NAN premine?
It's pretty profitable, I say!

ummmm.... no commment  Grin i'm earning my money by continuing to support this coin. i believed i was paying muddafudda to deliver a professional coin, he told me it would be the best. i was clearly being misled. live and learn i guess.

lost it on just-dice?  Cheesy
how's osc coming along btw?

OSC is stable and doing fine. time to fix NAN now.

have you had a chat with shake or ahmed yet ? as I believe they know how to solve the problem Smiley
shake does the windows builds for me. the problem seems to be that the clients will sync on linux but windows throws Assertion Failed! uint.... we're all using my github https://github.com/r3wt/nanotoken.git so it can't be differences in the code. i've even tried what alphacoin did by distributing the blockchain with the windows client and adding --reindex to the desktop shortcut on install. still doesn't work

Try restarting from scratch.  Not to be offensive or anything, but isn't it just a copy and paste clone?  Try forking from another coin and then finding and replacing everything you need.

already have, that was my first move. next suggestion please
