2401  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2nd Part of the big bullrun is starting now on: March 29, 2021, 03:45:03 PM
Looking like we starting stage 2 of the big bullrun, target 89k
This thread should be moved on the Speculation board.

There's should be a resistance after a short fullback and here's now the most anticipated price position, it might the start of the bull run season that may have another new ATH.  But yet, it's too early to celebrate since we know that the market price is unpredictable, it's better to hold more and be patient upon cutting your profit.

I liked your Bitcoin price target, it seems we're heading on that price and it should be at $100k until the end of this year.  Giving prediction is very simple but it is more appreciated if you will also give your technical analysis to show how actually Bitcoin price becomes a target of $89k to this stage 2 of bull run that you've said.
2402  Economy / Reputation / Re: Let's take action against unpaid Signature/Bounty campaign together. on: March 29, 2021, 02:39:33 PM
How long this will run?
As long as there are bounty hunters that willing to take a risk and to receive a fancy token from the bounty project, this cycle will not stop.  So my point is, stop joining bounty projects running by newly created accounts and not by reputed managers.  Because they are most likely going to scam even they had complete documents like whitepaper and roadmap, high potential to be scam will be occurred in the future.

Joining a bounty campaign is always has a risk and here my rate on the risk upon joining.
  • Joining with a newbie manager is about 75% risk
  • Joining with an old bounty manager that has a red tag on profile is about 50%
  • Joining with a reputable manager is about 30%

So, it means even though they are reputable managers as long as the project isn't listed yet, there's a potential that the project becomes a scam at the end and the member got nothing or being unpaid, and even them, there's nothing they can do once the project turns out to scam.  They are also a victim.

The reason I stopped being a bounty hunter a long time ago because it seems you're gambling your effort to them for how many months, but if you got lucky, truly reward will come to you.
2403  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buy Bitcoin at Safeway on: March 29, 2021, 12:01:17 AM
I'd rather choose to purchase Bitcoin online exchange rather than buying on the ATM machines.  If you annoyed with the Coinbase high fees and feel sucks, Bitcoin ATM's sucked harder.  It might you have a problem upon inserting the bills because I have heard they accept only larger bills at one transaction.  It's about 20-30% fees when you compared to the online exchanger.

Bitcoin ATM is good when you're in the travel and want to purchase Bitcoin as a payment and blindly accepting the high fees.

What about "laser eyes" like almost anyone has on Twitter? (I don't like this "trend" to be honest, but that was the first thing coming to my mind).  Cheesy
Alternatively, theymos could announce the new forum layout.  Tongue
We don't have faces here in our avatar unlike our Twitter profile, I can't imagine if that's a prank is applicable in here or how it will work, unless throughout in our avatar that has face images.

Yes, that was very trending now in Twitter, the laser eyes and here is the list of those Twitter profile that has laser eyes.
https://knowyourmeme.com/photos/2026857-laser-eyes-bitcoin-trend-laserrayuntil100k

Look at Michael Saylor's Twitter profile.

It's two days more to go, let's better wait for theymo's prank.  Cheesy
2405  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Blockchain Phishing site on: March 28, 2021, 05:04:02 PM
It's taken down now, I can't able to access the site.

Just a quick reminder not to fall into any phishing sites that may lead to our assets vulnerable.
Always check the domain name properly to avoid domain spoofing made by scammers, it's obviously misspelled or they modify the domain name into a look similar one, we should be careful on that.

Only naive people will fall into this kind of trap, those types of people don't have proper research, it's very easy to employ common sense before handling any link that you click.  Might also help if you have Anti-Virus in your device.

Anyway, that a good warned to them OP, that's good input.
2406  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: I got my old file (wallet.dat ) on: March 28, 2021, 04:45:59 PM
How can I get Transaction number It does not appear with me at all, because all transfers are in 2015
What wallet that you've used?
The Bitcoin receiving address should be there, try to hit the button "Receive" in your wallet and click "show address", it's either QR code or written in characters.

There's a 3 Bitcoin address format used by now and should be 26-35 characters long, consist of alphabetic and numeric characters.
  • P2PKH (address starts with the number “1”)
  • P2SH (address starts with the number “3”)
  • Bech32 (address starts with “bc1”)

Even how long Bitcoin transaction is, there supposed to be on the history list and recorded on the blockchain database, it's a record-keeping behind the Bitcoin network, and you can trace the transaction anytime using the link given above, blockchair.com.
2407  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Which wallets offer the lowest transaction fees to send BTC ? on: March 28, 2021, 04:25:42 PM
If you could give a range where the fee falls within , between x and y ....
Instead of guessing which the fee falls within, there's a tool that you can use to calculate the fee, this Bitcoin Fee Calculator is a simple tool that shows a chart with current mempool transactions ordered by fee value.  You can use the suggested fee and there's a given estimated time and depend on the mempool current status.

And I tend to agree with the comment above of this post, as you can see on the link that I was given, it's typically ranging at this time around 7 to 17 sats/vbyte and you can see the total of mempool transitions including the number of transactions and the amount of fee they paid.
2408  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: bad week mojo lost on: March 28, 2021, 04:07:31 PM
..but I dont trust myself now.
No, you should trust yourself and stay away from the signal group, they will distract your game plan and make you confused and not decide very well which way to follow, your game plan or them.  You should trust your capability in trading, as you have said in the first paragraph, using your own judgment by using your own TA.

You might need to use the stop losses strategy, so if there's a huge drop of the coin that you have picked, it will automatically cut your loss.  There are automated tools also that will execute the stop loss on behalf of you when you are AFK (away from keyboard).

That's good news on your side you can able to manage your losses, again, there's no need to be greedy and be careful in every decision.
2409  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don’t Panic IV on: March 27, 2021, 11:59:28 PM
You can go on the 100th chapter about a don't panic thread, but you can't stop people from selling, they are selling for many reasons, they are selling for profit, or because they need money badly or they want to experiment on a new coin, just glad that we have many buyers than sellers and hopefully it will stay the whole year.
And for long term people, they don't have to panic but some are really cutting it down before they wholly see a huge loss from their potential profits. Although most are probably in profit already, they just don't want to cut what should be for them.
And most of them are relatively new in Bitcoin investment, they don't fully understand yet how Bitcoin investment will work and should have wait for a perfect time to sell.  And yet, I tend to agree that there are various reasons why people selling their Bitcoin in the middle of the correction, there could be mixed emotions, and it might come of them afraid to lose the potential profit that they could be earned if there's a bull trend.

The market now has a resistance after having a short pullback, probably it's a part of being volatile nature of Bitcoin.
2410  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What can I do to safely use bitcoin on: March 27, 2021, 11:28:54 PM
If you buy 50$ worth of Bitcoin, then you should know that bitcoin transfers cost money (pretty much lately) and also the exchanges ask pretty big withdrawal fees. So if you buy from an exchange and not your friend, you may want to check the fees and consider keeping the money there until you have more and it worth withdrawing. Also keep in mind that you will need KYC/documents on most exchanges.
All are being well said in this post above but in addition to this, that I quoted, here is my opinion.

For now, as a small investor, it's being wise if we consider that transaction fee first.  In that way, we can save fees at least even $2 in one transaction because that amount in my place still valuable.  You can monitor and check the mempool network for the fees, there are 3 choices there that depend on the transaction speed you need.  But if you're not in hurry, even you will pay 10 sats/vB that's fine using the Electrum wallet that given the official download link above.  Nonetheless, don't forget to save and keep safe the recovery seeds in a safe place, that's very important in Bitcoin wallet recovery.

The next thing is an exchange platform that has a low fee, this time I want you to have your own research.
2411  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: When is Authenticator code needed? on: March 27, 2021, 11:00:54 PM
I could not access Coinbase or Coinbase Pro on my phone, but could access both on my tablet, and could only access Coinbase Pro on my desktop.  If any of these would have had occasion to ask for my Authenticator code it would have failed and then I would have no longer have had access.
Because the 2FA that supposed to be your second layer protection is protecting to sign the unrecognized device, which means that if you didn't use your tablet for the Coinbase pro, it will always ask for a 2FA verification since it is the unrecognized device.

In other purposes, enabling 2FA verification code is good for security because you can't able to transfer fund without 2FA, but the problem if you lost it, it needs for your to contact the support team.

You might need to read this article from Coinbase.
2412  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Retirement Funds Starting to Buy Bitcoins Nasdaq Say on: March 27, 2021, 10:50:49 PM
5% allocation for retirement is not that risky, as long as they understand the risk, it's always worth a shot.
That's good input!

In fact, if you will look at the previous price of Bitcoin back then until now, you will see that there is a great improvement and the Bitcoin price was increased at the end even how volatile it is.  It will probably do the same in the future, though there's no infinite growth but as you can see Bitcoin always ends up having a new ATH.  So, therefore, no doubt Bitcoin is good for the retirement fund plan.

There's always a basic law of Bitcoin, the demand and supply that makes Bitcoin becomes expensive, the more people have an awareness of this technology the more adoption we can get and it will vary the price in the market.
2413  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin value keeps climbing, make sure your old cold storage is safe. on: March 27, 2021, 10:42:17 PM
That's a good reminder DaveF!

It's proved that Bitcoin investment had potential when a year's come just like the next generation of 10 years.  Even in the year 2018 (IIRC) when Bitcoin price almost dug on the ground about $3k, it might a good chance of accumulating, and now seeing the price folded how many times, that's a great ROI for long-term holders.  Collectible coins made of precious metals will surely have a good value and storing them for the long term is also considering storing a good value in the future.

And yes, I tend to agree with you, our responsibility to take care of our valuable assets safe and don't leave them open or in an unsecured place.

Multi-sig or multiple back-ups for your Bitcoin wallet might good either.
2414  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion about Merit Pop up on: March 25, 2021, 11:51:22 PM
but leaving it blank would be preferred
That would be the best solution !
I tend to agree too.

But IMO, I don't have a problem with the current default value for a merit transfer (maybe because ain't merit source to send a bulk of smerit at once), it might not take too long for you to replace the default 0 to the desired amount that you wanted to send (asking my self, why it needs to be quick sending smerit?).  Probably that's for me but that's right and tend to agree among others above, leaving it blank would be a better solution to avoid the error of spending smerit or stay as is would be fine too.
2415  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you guys happy if bitcoin will dropped to $10k? Why? on: March 25, 2021, 11:29:03 PM
As I saw comments above, some of them are happy while others aren't.  Simple, just because there are two types of investors in the market.

Holders, will not happy to see the Bitcoin price will suddenly drop because they hold Bitcoin and hoping to double the price from the amount that they purchased Bitcoin.  No one will probably sell their Bitcoin under the price where they purchased it.

Buyers, will might happy to see when there is a dip in Bitcoin price because that was their anticipated event when there's a sudden dip of the price it means, it has the potential to grab and accumulate Bitcoin while it has a correction of the price.

Meh?  I'm happy when the Bitcoin price will drop so that I can accumulate a big amount of Bitcoin that less to the dollar.
2416  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: 5 Best Bitcoin Wallets for Android on: March 25, 2021, 11:13:06 PM
It's clear that the author of that article was shilling the unknown wallet, I don't even hear that Zengo wallet ever since.  So it's not convincing to use an unpopular wallet.

I tend to agree above that Electrum is the best wallet either it is on PC or android and why didn't include it in that article that OP showed above, when it comes to security, this is a good wallet AFAIK.
I rather consider this list of android wallet from Bitcoin.org, it includes the feature of the android wallet like most important is modifying the transaction fees, it has a rating of Control, Validation, Transparency, Environment, Privacy, and Fees..
2417  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why would someone just buy 14666 bitcoins on coinbase on: March 25, 2021, 10:54:43 PM
It's still an unknown transaction, either it's a purchase or a transfer of Coinbase from other wallets.  There are too many rumors that it could be Elon Musk or a businessman who purchase Bitcoin to buy Tesla because something like coincidence when Elon Musk tweeted that he accept Bitcoin to purchase Tesla.  Another reason might a custodial wallet that buying at the dip as the Coindesk article said.

Whatever reason it is, it's another hype of Bitcoin price.  There is still a big player that wanted to play the market price or another institutional brand company that follows the steps of other big companies that were accepting Bitcoin.  But still, nobody knows.
2418  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Someone with delays from Transferwise or Binance? on: March 23, 2021, 11:46:26 PM
I've researched also in Google but I dont see any similar issue that you'd face.  I saw in Downdetector site that most user of transferwise has the same problem of your and this might not only on Binance.  It might good if you contact their support as suggested above to have a clear answer of which the two of them have a problem.

I heard that it also effective if you post a comment on their Twitter account, @BinanceHelpDesk.
2419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what you think of this altcoin for 2025 on: March 23, 2021, 11:27:52 PM
Zilliqa coin i like to invest. what is your opinion on that ? any holders please explain
Give us any reason why you hold this altcoin?

AFAIK, any new altcoin is very risky to hold in a long period of time because you even don't know if they will abandon such a project and might become a shit coin.  I saw there are too many altcoins became shitcoin, I have a lot on that in my wallet and until now, they remain undervalued coin that not even worth it to sell.

There's no one will beat investing in Bitcoin, if I were you, just do the same what I have said.  Unless, if you willing to take a risk the amount of what you have invested.
2420  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nicole wants to give up her taxi in exchange for bitcoin on: March 23, 2021, 10:49:51 PM
You know much better about Bitcoin than your neighbor so I think, it's pretty good if you give her advice.

All I can say on this whole story is, "Invest of what you can afford", because investment in crypto or in Bitcoin need to be patient and it could be take in a long-run process of holding.

Could this be a brilliant decision or did she act without caution?
If she can survive financially in a long run, that could be.  Bitcoin investment might give a better profit but there's no time frame when it will happen.

Quote
Is it really wise to trade her funds in this direction?
Not so, if the amount that she willing to invest in the amount that I have mentioned above.

Quote
If she was to split the funds in purchasing other coins it would have been appreciated as well but all she wants to buy is bitcoin.
The safest investment, in the long run, is Bitcoin, IMO, there's no need for other coins.  Just focus on Bitcoin.

If she doesn't have another source of income aside from that taxi driving, it's better to secure first his daily financial needs with a stable source of income than gamble it is investing into crypto.
