Try this out. Buy stablecoin, stake it on Binance savings, their current APY is 5% buv sometime tend to change and increase with your budget of $5k you can secure a 0.5 to 2% of that fund on monthly depends on the progress. I've specifically used their own exchange stablecoin busd and having a good and decent profit. But don't expect a big one's since this is just like saving on a bank with a higher percentage.
@cryptoaddictchie. I am interested with this one. Well, I am currently exploring the Binance Savings platform and I am seeing various type of savings account, which one of these type are you talking about? I am planning to save some of my USDT that comes from the commission I get on doing freelancing works and I think it would be a good idea to stake an X amount of USDT per month which will serve as my emergency savings account that is based on crypto. Would you mind giving us some more information regarding your experiences? I am seeig " Locked Savings" and " Flexible Savings".

I haven't tried using Trezor wallet but I have been using my Ledger Nano S for quite a few months now and have never encountered such security flaws when it comes to connecting your Ledger device to my personal computer. As far as I know, the private keys that has been generated by your HW is protected by a specialized secure chip called a " Secure Element" in order for your private keys to never leave the device and to protect it regardless if you accidentally connect it to a compromised computer.. [1] https://www.ledger.com/academy/security/the-secure-element-whistanding-security-attacks/I also don't see any articles or news yet regarding this kind of issue.

I think you need to know how crypto trading and how crypto behaves since you have the funds, I can suggest you join some legit ico's( initial coin offerings)
Though I agree with learning on how trading works and how it can actually produce a significant profit over time. However, I think it would not be a sound advice to let someone who is a beginner and has little to no experience to invest in ICO's. It can somehow produce some good results but the probability of finding a project that has a practical use cases and is not subjected to pump and dump is not profitable at all. It would take a lot of your time and resources in order to take advantage of those vapourware projects.
I agree with @jossiel though. Dollar cost averaging is the most basic strategy you can use to at least grow your momey over time regardless of bitcoin's price. As for the tools you can just use Ledger Nano S and integrate it with Electrum to serve as your wallet interface after purchasing on a weekly or monthly basis depending on how you plan your DCA. $2k - $5k is a lot of money for me that's why I recommend using HW. Yeah this sucks a lot. Its even worst when you have plenty of amount in your wallet and you just think that if the price moves up then we might loose more profits.
This is true especially if you are holding 100% of your bitcoin holdings way back 2017 which is a lot cheaper as compared to current price. Also, one thing that keeps holding me back is that I still don't have ample knowledge when it comes to reading charts. Well, perhaps I will just be focusing on learning T.A in order to not let go of this opportunity again, this rally makes me look like a helpless kid ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) who can't take advantage of the market.. Anyhow, thank you for letting me know that this feeling actually exist LOL... However, recently I have trained myself, no matter what if I have suitable profits then just close the trade and be happy. I sold my coins 18k USD and BTC kept surging upwards upto 22k USD being ath. But I already minded that I don't want more, so I'm not feeling bad at all.
Wait? Does it mean you are negative in profit? How many percentage of your total portfolio have you lost?

Does anybody have some long-term stats over the bankroll investment?
Check some of the bankroll investment of other bitcointalk members below. They have recorded ther loss and gains on a specific period of time in order for other people to assess the risks involved. All of which have different risks as well as different reward whether it be for long term or short term. Take a look at the graph to help you assess what you are looking for. [3] https://yolodice.com/#stats/investor

To be honest, this bitcoin rally bothers me a lot. I am newbie trader and I just recently started studying about the basic concept of trading and was planning to short the upcoming dowtrend if there is any. This led me to become confused whether if I should sell based on the other traders speculative price or just leave the market temporarily and start learning a more in depth T.A.
This is driving me nuts!

Thank you for the correction but I don't get the idea why do you consider volume as momentum when FOMO appears.
I think that he is not referring to the volume but rather the relationship why there is a momentum that occurs when FOMO is happening. Let's just say that for example that bitcoin is rapidly gaining traction due to a lot of financial institutions who are jumping to BTC which perhaps causes a lot of excitement to every trader to jump into continuous upward trend which result to a so called "Momentum" right? That's is how I understand the concept though.
Anyways, thank you for all the reply posts in this thread. I have realized that some of the reason why we avoid such trades with respect to volume as the indicator are just common sense based on the supply and demand. Might as well continue on the other basic concept. Thank you so much!!

@Boysen,
Sa susunod na transaction na gagawin mo, make sure na nag double check ka before doing some deposits sa kahit anong wallet or exchange yung gagamitin mo.
Remember that USDT is a stablecoin that mimics the function of a fiat currency which is the US Dollars and it is notably different to Ethereum (ETH). In fact, maraming variation and USDT na yan at isa na yung USDT-ERC20 na based sa ERC-20 protocol ng ETH network, mayroon din na USDT-OMNI, USDT- TRC20 at USDT EOS. Lahat yan magkakaiba ang hitsura ng address kaya please make a habit of double checking before doing such transaction or else hassle ang pag contact sa support or madalas mawawala lang yan nang parang bula.

Hi, maraming salamat sa pag sagot. Pwedeng malaman kung paanong minsan ay walang bayad na natatanggap? Dahil ba ito sa walang halaga pagkatapos ng campaign ang mga narereceive na coin?
Basically speaking ganoon yung nangyayari. Kapag naman sumali ka sa mga bounty campaign like signature campaign, social media camp, blog writing and what not, most of the time nagbabayad naman yung mga campaign manager. Another point is, if ever na nagimg successful ang project, nalist sa exchange at may value; madalas namam biglang dump yung price kasi ang habol lang naman talaga mg tao is to take profit and then abandon the project. Although may pera sa basura (shitcoins) mataas pa din yung risk na wala kang mapapala kung hindi ka magaling pumili ng short term potential project.

Wait? What? Hindi mo pwedeng itransfer and USDT ERC20 sa ETH ng coins.ph kasi hindi naman supported ng coins.ph and ERC20 based protocol ng ETH. Tanging mismong ETH lang and pwede mong isend sa coins.ph and nothing else.
Although identical sila ng format in terms of their address na nag start sa "0x" hindi mo pa din pwedeng i-send from binance to coins.ph. Unfortunately, hindi mo na yun pwedeng ibalik kasi as far as I know irreversible ang cryptocurrency transaction and of course hindi supported ng coins.ph and ERC20 based token. Wala na yun.
Much better kung ipinalit mo muna yung USDT ERC20 mo sa ETH and then saka mo nilipat sa coins.ph.

Unfortunately, you cannot find any legitimate telegram cryptocurrency group that has little to no scammer lurking around the group unless otherwise you have joined a community who does not focus on earning bounties and infinite shitcoins on the market or created a channel where you and other people resides on the same nationality or perhaps you know them personally. Moreover, there is an existing discord server for bitcointalk created by Cyrus. Try visiting the group and see if it satisfies your standards of a cryptocurrency community. short selling for beginners is suitable. because buying at a low price and selling at a high price is a good step, because now I think I have to take advantage of that moment even though it's only a few percent profit but if done regularly it might be maximal
Wait? Isn't it that opening a short trades means that it is the reverse of creating a long trade in which you are buying at a lower price and selling at a higher price? Thus, if you are making a short trade what actually happens is that you are selling at a higher price first and then buying to a much lower price right? Or I just misunderstood the concept?
