2401  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitsyncom, can you please hire some employees, answer emails, and tickets? on: May 24, 2013, 05:09:24 PM
If any of you have the same problems with corruption inside of EMS in your home country you could be looking at having to pay 45,000$ or more in "special taxes" aka bribes based on the valuation of the package (If you receive it at all).
i'm guessing italy? Tongue
2402  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Would unpowered risers damage the x16 slots of a mobo? on: May 24, 2013, 05:07:42 PM
its a z77 extreme 6 so its a pretty decent board.  the first two are x8 / x8 when a second card is in the second lane with the last being x4.  the first 2 would be 7950s so over 200W probably :/  the last a 7790 so under 65w probably
if the size of the slot is x16, it's designed to have a graphics card plugged into it. you should be fine.

also would putting different clocks on every card be a bad idea?
no, not at all. cgminer can manage clocks differently so you can squeeze the max out of all your cards.
2403  Economy / Goods / Re: 750ml Colloidal Silver - $29 on: May 24, 2013, 04:53:54 PM
Not at all. My very point is by YOUR OWN LOGIC you are no more correct concluding it is ineffective than he is concluding it IS effective. Since neither position can be proven according to your standards, you are just as erroneous concluding it is ineffective, and therefore you are a hypocrite.
you do realize in medicine, the null hypothesis is that substance x does not cure/prevent/diagnose any known illness, right? therefore, without any conclusive proof, it's assumed that substance x does nothing. (inb4 you claim this standard is because of big phrama/government)

You aren't here to protect anyone. You are here to stroke your ego and attack people whom you do not agree with because it entertains you. A quick look thru your post history demonstrates this clearly. Stop patronizing this forum like they are all children incapable of critical thought to make their own choices.

2404  Economy / Gambling / Re: What do you consider a reasonable fee on your winnings? on: May 24, 2013, 04:13:28 PM
I voted for 0.5% because online gambling operations, especially ones done "on the chain", incur little cost for the operator. The only operational cost for a satoshidice clone is a cheap VPS running a bitcoin node. You can probably even run it on your home computer.
2405  Economy / Gambling / Re: BlockRun.com - Penny auctions on the blockchain on: May 24, 2013, 04:04:46 PM
just a small comment: your site updates its blocks way too slow. you should have some sort of push notification so incoming blocks are updated instantly.
2406  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Would unpowered risers damage the x16 slots of a mobo? on: May 24, 2013, 03:13:01 AM
how many lanes are slots 1, 2, and 3?

I run a 5850 (150W max draw) using unpowered 1x -> 16x risers without issue. as long as your motheboard is somewhat decent and your card doesn't draw too much power (over 200W), it will work fine.
2407  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Would unpowered risers damage the x16 slots of a mobo? on: May 24, 2013, 01:55:58 AM
x16? no, because that's considered normal use of the pci-e slot. powered risers are only useful for x1 -> x16 risers.

Riddle me this smart guy....
If you truly believe that there is no evidence unless there are RCTs conducted... what magical part of science allows you to declare colloidal silver INEFFECTIVE without any RCTs? Funny how your logic only seems to work for your argument but anything contrary just gets glossed over.
That's a strawman. All I said was that there was no evidence showing colloidal's effectiveness in curing, preventing or diagnosing any known disease.
2410  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Does list transsaction store the lists of transactions or the other way? on: May 23, 2013, 04:52:45 PM
only if you imported with rescan = true (which is true by default)
2411  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: It's time to sell GPU's? on: May 23, 2013, 04:45:22 PM
Mine Litecoins instead, they're still profitable for GPU mining (and if electric is free, CPU mining too).
lolno
http://dustcoin.com/mining

it's marginally more profitable than bitcoins right now. but if every gpu miner switches to litecoin, you can be sure that difficulty will skyrocket.
2412  Economy / Gambling / Re: BlockRun.com - Penny auctions on the blockchain on: May 23, 2013, 04:32:56 PM
Here's my testimonial:

Great site. Got my prize within 10 minutes of winning the auction! Everything couldn't have gone any smoother!

I'll even sign it:

ps. there's a good reason why I'm choosing not to disclose my motives. Lips sealed
2413  Economy / Gambling / Re: BlockRun.com - Penny auctions on the blockchain on: May 23, 2013, 04:16:54 PM
Just so everyone is clear, there was no shenanigans going on. I was the winner of the auction. My motive for winning the auction will be disclosed 7 days from now.

edit: the reason is to get the 0.5 BTC reward for testimony. (0.5 net profit for me)

I only accept SEPA up front.

lolno

also, 45 euro is worth about $58 USD. I don't see why anyone would pay a $8 premium AND send first.
2416  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Paying Volunteers to Test CoinGator.com Back-end! on: May 23, 2013, 02:44:03 PM
Ok I did two transactions for 0.01 BTC. The first one went through very fast and I got my payment in a few minutes. The second eventually expired since I sent the funds from Bitstamp and they delayed the payment a bit, but then I contacted MicroGuy and he solved the issue and sent me the payment himself.

In brief: great service, only the 10 minute expiry is a bit too low IMO (if more people like me send BTCs directly from an exchanger this will be happening quite often).
I think the 10 minute expiry is to prevent speculation based on volatile market prices. As long as you sent the coins, it will be accepted. No confirmations needed.
2417  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Paying Volunteers to Test CoinGator.com Back-end! on: May 23, 2013, 03:09:49 AM
I just placed an order on your site and it works very smoothly. Got my money less than 5 minutes after I sent the coins. Smiley

here are my suggestions:
  • Instead of changing the cursor to a disabled icon, just disable the textbox. The changing cursor is kind of annoying when I want confirm something.
  • typo: "BTC" should be "USD"
  • the order status page should auto-refresh
  • The navigation bar is bugged. When I go to another page, the highlighted tab on the navigation bar is always the home page.
  • for noscript users:
I enabled scripts for coingator, but not "areyouhuman.com". At the verification stage, clicking the verify button doesn't do anything. There should be a warning when scripts are disabled.
2418  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Paying Volunteers to Test CoinGator.com Back-end! on: May 23, 2013, 02:11:50 AM
To make this worth your while, we will pay double for the next 25 .01 BTC > PayPal transactions. Any .01 BTC transaction will pay double.
is this offer still active? if so, how many transactions left?
2419  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Able to convert server psu for mining purposes? on: May 23, 2013, 12:31:35 AM
You're asking about something like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dell-Power-Edge-1855-1955-Blade-Server-PSU-2100W-Power-Supply-RJ574-/350586085933

2100W, 175A on the 12V line, and absolutely zero documentation on how to jerry-rig that sucker into a bunch of PCIe 6 pin cables.

And this CRAP is from China meant for the China market , manufactured to the same exacting standards as their baby-food.

Just because it says  175A on it does not mean it is continuous........

they are dell branded PSUs. it's also shipped from the US. stop spreading FUD.
