How do they select the the chairman of ICC ? Doesn't all the boards have have a say in selecting the chairperson of ICC ?
There should be a mechanism of voting among all the cricket boards so that no one can influence on the decision of selecting the chairman of ICC.
As far as i know its goes something like that, i might be missing the details tho.. -Each member of ICC board ( they are called directors) nominates the candidates. Board is made up with 12 Full members+ 3 Associate members. -The ones who gets the majority of votes (minimum 2) from the Full members goes into election process. If they have such a organized process in place for the selection of chairman for ICC, why some people complain that incompetent people are selected on this seat or politics is involved in selection. Aren't this process transparent ? If any minor uses his adult friend/cousin/relative to pass the KYC, this is morally not correct. Although the gambling site may not be able to trace it but it is not good for the minors to play gambling. They are not mature and can misuse the funds of their family.
I concluded that the KYC procedure is necessary, although I personally do not like it. Rather than Ganguly, I would like to see Sachin Tendulkar as the chairman of the ICC. Ganguly is already holding a powerful position (as he is the current head of the Board of Control for Cricket in India). I am sure that ex-players such as Sachin and Saurav are a hundred times better than businessmen such as N Srinivasan, Sharad Pawar and Colin Graves. How do they select the the chairman of ICC ? Why is Raina targeted like this, i thought he was just a cricket player, are these political attacks or regional discrimination, why would anyone attack someone from Kashmir. Srinivasan is the owner of a team and if he is spending money on a player he has the rights to comment on his investment and during a pandemic phase they will find it hard to find a player to replace them.
Some of the media sources are claiming that the motive was robbery. It is highly suspect, given that the village was located in a high-security zone. Also, even the relatives of the victims were kept in the dark by the cops, who refused to divulge much details about the attack. And talking about Srinivasan, he has the right to criticize the players. But not at a time when they are mourning the death of their loved ones. I would regard that as inhuman behaviour. If the motive was robbery, then those who died must have resisted against them and they killed them. Two of his family members are dead (his cousin passed away today), and another relative is on life-support. But most surprising is the fact that very few people are talking about this incident in India. Media is not giving it any sort of importance. BTW, N Srinivasan has refused to apologize for his vile statements targeting Raina. He did not how they were dead ? Were they killed by someone or passed away due to some other reason. The investigation may come in few days by the PunjabPolice India but this is really a shocking news. Someone might have taken revenge with Suresh Raina🇮🇳  |

well it will be hard for third world countries to cope up and recover after this pandemic..especially nowadays that there were continuous recessions and many workers were affected.. yes we are grateful for some companies that can do worm from home set-ups.. but the other companies can not adopt this kind of work set-up...or if they will then they need to restructure and provide budgetary for work from home set-up.. I believe that people will find ways to cope up and survive this pandemic.
Many companies learnt and adopted new ways of working remotely. Even after this pandemic, they can still allow some employees to work from home and safe the company costs too depending upon the nature of the work.
