India vs England series isn't confirmed. If I'm not wrong the tournament will be scheduled to be played on England. In most of the matches played in England, it had got home ground advantage. Both teams are strong, and this series won't go one sided. I was looking for the game between Australia and England.

The England bowlers are in top form, and for the Indian batsmen this is going to be a tough challenge. On top of that, they will prefer fast and bouncy surfaces, in which the Indian batsmen (other than Virat Kohli) are not very comfortable. It would be good if the Indian team arrives in England at least 2-3 weeks before the series and get themselves acclimatized.

West Indies won a match against England and Pakistan came close to winning the first Test and India has a much better bowlers and batsman than these team, it will be really close if they play even in England and India has the world class bowlers to trouble any team. England beating India easily will be a dream and it would be interesting how Bairstow Morgan and Root will play against Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Shami, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Umesh Yadav.

It is just shocking to hear about the threats N Srinivasan made to Suresh Raina, after the latter decided to withdraw from IPL 2020.

Reacting for the first time ever since senior batsman Suresh Raina decided to pull out of IPL 2020 and flew back to India citing‘personal reasons’, Chennai Super Kings owner and former BCCI president N Srinivasan on Sunday said the left-hander will regret his decision and would want to come back. “The season has not begun yet and Raina will certainly realise what he is missing and certainly all the money (a salary of 11 crores per season) he is going to lose,” Srinivasan told Outlook.

Who is Mr. Srinivasan, and what does he think he is? Raina has already clarified to the media that he is pulling out of the tournament for personal reasons (his uncle recently got murdered). He does have the right to do so, although he may lose the salary for this year.

If this is how he treats a player who has represented his team (CSK) for more than a decade, then I really pity on Mr. Srinivasan. Perhaps this is not surprising from a man, who took part in match fixing during the IPL, and then got off with a lenient punishment thanks to his political connection.  

Any other franchise owner would have stood by the player, during this difficult time. But what to expect from Srinivasan, who has disowned his own son?

He is complaining that the police is yet to inform him what actually happened to his relatives. Two of his family members are dead (his cousin passed away today), and another relative is on life-support. But most surprising is the fact that very few people are talking about this incident in India. Media is not giving it any sort of importance. BTW, N Srinivasan has refused to apologize for his vile statements targeting Raina.

He did not how they were dead ? Were they killed by someone or passed away due to some other reason. The investigation may come in few days by the PunjabPolice India but this is really a shocking news. Someone might have taken revenge with Suresh Raina🇮🇳

@SaShiRaJaVu under normal circumstances he would have walked straight into CSK camp, but since we’re in a pandemic it’s not going to be easy for him to rejoin CSK. Also he’ll need BCCI approval before he can join CSK camp, and it won’t be easy getting that approval as BCCI feels that he’s battling depression, but if he can convince them that his reasons were valid, and he doesn’t have depression then they may just approve his decision to rejoin the team.

Raina's uncle and other family members were asleep at the terrace of the house, when they were attacked by an infamous criminal gang (locally known as the "kala kachha gang"). Raina's uncle Ashok Kumar (58 y.o) and his son Kaushal Kumar (30 y.o) reportedly died in the attack, while the other family members are still hospitalized. The criminals behind the attack are yet to be arrested, as they are rumored to be close to the politicians.

Earlier there were rumors of terrorists attacking the family (since Raina was the Kashmiri to represent India), but these were later proven to be false.

All that said, N Srinivasan's reaction was appalling. He should understand that cricketers are human beings and they too have families. This guy is blinded due to his greed for money.

The motive of the attack is unknown, and we cannot verify what exactly happened or was the family purposely being robbed. But should be any discrimination based I suppose because Raina has being for years now and nothing of this sort has every happened. But, N Srinivasan before he had commented should have just checked with him personally what happened and latter would have commented so such noise in media would not have arise.

This is bad news I was not aware of it. Things like these need to be addressed carefully but I assumed Mr Srinivasan might not been in his senses otherwise who will react with such stupidity to such a sensitive issue.

CSK needs someone who is capable of scoring at 1.5 runs per over in the middle overs and I think Raina is perfect for this spot. Even in the match against MI, they faced a lot of difficulty in stepping up the scoring rate. Both du Plessis and Rayudu had strike rate lower than 150. And without the fireworks from Sam Curran towards the end, they could have easily lost the match.

@Ayiranorea where did you read that Ms Dhoni has indicated that Raina is coming back, because there’s no update regarding Raina joining CSK anytime soon. Also all the media reports are showing that the former Indian captain (Ms Dhoni) has taken a dig at Raina, saying that as cricketers we criticise a lot, and here the we is understood to be directed at Raina, so I don’t think that now Raina will come back at least for this season.

I do not think there will be requirement for Raina but his experience in middle order and in crucial stages does help the team. At the moment if he comes back he will need to sit for sometime now.

Raina is someone who is capable of scoring runs quickly. CSK needs someone like him in the middle order. During the last match, both Rayudu and du Plessis scored the runs for them, but if not for Sam Curran they could have lost the match. Du Plessis in particular was scoring runs very slowly, as he made runs at a strike rate of 132. It is understandable, considering the fact that almost half of the squad is aged around 35 years.
