sender says the bitcoins aren't available on their wallet anymore.
The sender should re-broadcast the transaction. If his wallet can't do it, he may be able to copy the raw transaction and use this Broadcast link.
24002  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: January 18, 2018, 10:10:15 AM
What did you expect, if:
- the only exchange with liquidity, where you can trade Byteball (Bittrex) has 0.4 BTC withdrawal limit and they DON'T accept new users
~
People with deep pockets (like me) just can't put money into byteball without locking them on exchanges or then spending months to withdraw them.
My daily withdrawal limit at Bittrex is 100 BTC (enhanced account). I hate the requirements they put up to get it, but after jumping through all their hoops it works fine again.

Quote
New people cant buy and withdraw Byteball at all (no access to Bittrex, no withdrawals on Cryptopia)! They can only get Byteball via free distribution. How do you expect Byteball to gain value then?
True. That makes Byteball's untapped potential enormous. I expect a price jump if it gets added to a bigger exchange.

I swear the team to apply to KuCoin:

Please take action on Yamato Tarasihiko for copy/pasting.

Copy:
Cost. Is it free? What are the drawbacks of using this wallet?
Security. Does the company have a track record of security excellence?
Mobility. Is it easy to keep and difficult to lose? Is it accessible anytime, anywhere?
User-friendliness. Is the wallet UI intuitively designed? Can I store a range of altcoins?
Convenience. Am I able to make a fast purchase when the time calls for it?
Style. Do I have a weakness for cool tech gadgets?

He has at least one more post copied.
24004  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: HELP.. bitcoin transfer between my wallets big problem on: January 18, 2018, 09:07:21 AM
Having investigated the issue, I am working with a specialist to address it properly. We will follow-up with you as soon as we have an update.
That looks good indeed, and it makes sense the helpdesk guy doesn't have the authority to credit your account with such a high amount.

Separately, (LoyceV?), Since yo suggested it can you advice the best way to claim my bitcoin gold and the airdroped bitcore
I used Coinomi for both. I created a QR-code for the private key to sweep both chains, but you could also just type it.

Quote
if there is anything to add to me just using them
After exporting your private key, never ever use the same address again to receive Bitcoin.

There are more forks to claim, I'm still working on my "LoyceV's Bitcoin Fork claiming guide (and service)"-thread.
24005  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: January 17, 2018, 06:13:04 PM
Tony Churyumoff, Founder, Byteball, added: "By partnering with Jumio, we bring identity to the distributed ledger, both for ICOs and other financial transactions, creating strong connections between the crypto and the real world.
I assume this can be used to airdrop coins on unique individuals, right?
But I doubt many people will be willing to share their private information for some Bytes.
24006  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: sending Bitcoins from Kraken to my wallet on: January 17, 2018, 05:33:50 PM
I'm using Electron Cash
That explains your problem: Electron Cash is NOT a Bitcoin wallet, it's a Bitcoin Cash wallet.

You can fix this in several ways, I recommend you download Electrum.
In Electron Cash, export the private key for 1KmQfQKXemUtDkJt9hN6w8Si984CM7JUTb. DO NOT show the private key to anybody!
Install Electrum, create a new wallet > Standard wallet > Use public or private keys > enter your private key into Electrum.

After this, your 0.044 BTC should show up in your Electrum wallet again.

Note that you got lucky: if you mess up Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash when depositing to an exchange, it's very likely you'll lose your money. Be careful not to mix up different chains again!
24007  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: sending Bitcoins from Kraken to my wallet on: January 17, 2018, 03:03:46 PM
Today my wallet tells me "Requests date 2017-12-15 11.27, amount 0.0440 Status expired, Balance 0.
The transaction was confirmed a month ago, address 1KmQfQKXemUtDkJt9hN6w8Si984CM7JUTb contains 0.044 BTC.
Confirmed Bitcoin transactions don't expire. That only leaves your wallet as a possible problem. Let's start with the obvious: which wallet do you use?
24008  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Can anyone confirm/ drop this Tx in next 24hrs? on: January 17, 2018, 12:40:58 PM
that tx has 4 more previous unconfirmed parent txs  Lips sealed
Thanks, I missed that. I didn't know Blockchain.info doesn't consequently show "(U)" for all unconfirmed transactions.

@Freebitcoreal: Since all transaction use the same fee, I assume they're all yours. What you should do, is double spend the first unconfirmed transaction of your "chain".

For your future transactions, you should not make multiple transactions the way you did on December 16, you should use "send to many" to send Bitcoins to all receiving addresses in one transaction. This saves data, lowers the total fee, and reduces the backlog of unconfirmed transactions.
How you can do this, depends on your wallet. If your wallet doesn't allow it, you should switch to a different wallet.
24009  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Is there any way i could centralize my bitcoin addresses to one address ? on: January 17, 2018, 12:34:38 PM
Is it possible to do with Blockchain wallet ?
I don't think it allows you to set a very low fee (people will complain their transaction doesn't get confirmed). But you can of course just try it: try to send your entire balance, and before signing the message, check carefully how much fee it makes you pay.
24010  Other / Meta / Re: Mod, please check new additions: Reporting copy/pasting, please permban on: January 17, 2018, 09:16:52 AM
User aannnttoo is the typical spamming bounty hunter, and he copy/pasted into a thread that I follow:

Copy (archived):
Gbyte reached an important price in July 2017. From that moment that coin was neglected by everybody and the exchanges sold the coin mercilessly. Probabily too many airdrop and too many coin in the wrong hands (exchanges). Since november 2017 something has changed, the airdrops are almost finished, one of the last will occur next march 2018 and the coin is starting to be adopted by many people.

Original: https://www.tradingview.com/chart/GBYTEBTC/qAUikbBl-GBYTEBTC/

Update: aannnttoo sent me a PM, he claims he copied his friend at trading view, and says he knows he "wrote this". He also says he'll delete his post, hence the archive. I'll leave the decision to the Mods.
24011  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Byteball's Marketing Fund. Make your contribution to the development of Byteball on: January 17, 2018, 09:09:00 AM
At the moment, LoyceV agreed to keep the fund's money. I see no objection to appointing LoyceV to this post. Therefore, we decided to appoint him. Now we only need to discuss the remaining questions. For our part, we are ready to give him 1% out of 5% of the fund's money for his working, that consisting in checking the expediency of spending. This value can be increased up to 2%, depending on his participation in the project.  You can find more details about spending 5% of the funds in the topic header.
I think you misunderstood me:
I suggest a 2 out of 4 multisig escrow, for instance
I don't want to be the sole fund keeper. The reasons to use a 2 out of 4 multisig are:
1. No single person has access to the funds on his own
2. No single person can lose the funds by getting his wallet compromised or losing access to his wallet completely

With only one fund keeper, both points are at risk.
24012  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Can anyone confirm/ drop this Tx in next 24hrs? on: January 17, 2018, 07:34:40 AM
To get it confirmed: use https://pool.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/ at exactly the whole hour, but start with the unconfirmed input 186718ef18cf767a108ecfcc253d955a7f9a014431dc0925cc6900d7a4d62752.
To get it canceled: double spend it to another address with a much higher fee. If the unconfirmed input is your transaction too too, double spend that one.
24013  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Is there any way i could centralize my bitcoin addresses to one address ? on: January 16, 2018, 10:17:46 PM
The only way to consolidate Bitcoins is sending them all to the same address in one transaction.
Basically any wallet can do this, what wallet are you using now, or better: how are your Bitcoins stored now?

If you use a wallet that lets you set the fee, you can choose any fee you want. If it's too low, you can take a long time (up to "forever") to confirm, so choose wisely.

If you want lower fees in the future, you should create a new SegWit wallet.
24014  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Segwit question on: January 16, 2018, 05:45:02 PM
I will be using segwit, but I will still remain paranoid until we have a big amount of adoption for a couple of years without no surprises. Yes, you can call me extremely paranoid and how I make no sense and I hope that is the case.
I have the same feeling, just like when I create a paper wallet. Encryption isn't very intuitive, so I literally have to trust it.
What helps (and what I actually do sometimes) is using different wallets (or Bitaddress.org) to test restoring addresses from my private key (on an offline LIVE Linux of course).
Basically it's the same as testing your backups once in a while, to be sure you can use them when needed.

I still haven't tested this for SegWit yet. I plan to make a short howto once I'm confident enough.
24015  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: January 16, 2018, 05:39:10 PM
Can anyone lend me a little bit of GB? I stupidly exchanged mine for GBB but now I need some GB in order to change back to GB... PM me and I'll PM you my address. I'll send back the funds once I did my trade...
Thanks!
I've sent you a whopping 20,000 Bytes textcoin, should be enough for many Blackbyte-transactions.
24016  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: BetKing.io Weekly Wagering Contest on: January 16, 2018, 03:23:06 PM
Terms:
"BetKing reserves the right to cancel the promotion at any time or change prizes for any reason.
To qualify players must wager 0.001 BTC or more during the week or the equivilent for the LTC, ETH, BKB leaderboards.
"
Participants (myself included) should have known and accepted the risks into our decision to play.
Just as a FYI: This part of the Terms was the reason I didn't join the wager contest (with BKB). I especially like EV+ promotions, but this part I can't control.
It could be that more people didn't join because of this.
24017  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: btc to my exchange bch addres on: January 16, 2018, 03:10:35 PM
I sent in a accident from binance btc to my bitstamp bch addres, are the coins lost or is it possible that bitstamp exchange can fix my coins ?.
Coins don't get lost, you can check https://blockdozer.com/ to see if they were moved again.
That being said: Bitstamp has the private key, and it will be entirely up to them whether or not they recover this for you. Some exchanges do, some don't. It might also depend on the amount you sent.
You should send a message to their support and ask.

Quote
(my english is not 100%ok sorry Smiley
If you post your message to Bitstamp here before sending (leave out private details), I can help you with your English if your message is unclear.
My advice: keep it short and to the point.
24018  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Accelerate please. on: January 16, 2018, 01:32:26 PM
www.confirmtx.com please use this website ur transaction will be confirmed
Unlikely. This 69381 bytes transaction is sending close to dust to about 1000 different addresses. A miner can earn a few thousand dollars more mining other transactions, so a free accelerator won't include this one.
24019  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Pattern 101 on: January 16, 2018, 12:38:18 PM
Bitcoin fell about 40% from the peak, just like it did a few more times in the past year.
You're looking at that graph in the wrong way, I prefer the log-graph:

Of course I don't like seeing it drop, but on the logarithmic scale it had grown more than my imaginary long-term straight line. If the long-term line continues, it'll be worth 10 times more again in 2-3 years.

We can reach to 5k levels provided we see something like South Korea decision affecting other parts of the world and start banning it.
The whole point of having Bitcoins is not caring about what any government thinks about it.
24020  Other / Meta / Re: Account Locked and No Reply from Cyrus and Theymos on: January 16, 2018, 12:31:18 PM
Someone who has time should maintain a list of these phishing sites, and we can encourage all new users to update their hosts file.
Someone already did that: https://github.com/StevenBlack/hosts (scroll down a bit to see many different categories hosts files). The one mentioned above isn't on it though, so I've added it by myself.
