I thought ppl said this coin could hit very high?

How much daily trading volume would you say is very low?  Would like $10000 daily be considered low or extremely low?  I assume coins that have say 3 figures or less are basically extremely low. 

Is it very bad if a coin has a low daily trading volume?  The known coins have at least 6 figures or more traded daily at the very minimum.  And of course btc and the top 10 coins are traded in the millions and even billions daily.

I know that there are many users especially those new users would post links up for others to click such as this is the electrum download etc and its a virus/trojan etc.  I notice some of the mods here who quickly delete any link they find suspicious etc to protect other users from it.


Now i notice underneath a lot of each poster's post, there is like a link/ad that is from this site.  Has anyone clicked on those links and if so, are those safe?  Because it seems like if you visit this forum, you probably should do it on a separate computer where you have no btc wallet or anything even like a password manager like lastpass or keepass on it because clicking on links like that could potentially be a virus/trojan where a hacker could see everything on your computer?

The price is around $3500 now.  Price has only went down.  If it does go up, it goes back down later on.  Does anyone here think there is no future for btc anymore?  When the price went to 5k then 10k then 15k and then close to 20k, i thought... wow i think by end of 2018 it would be 50k at least.  And then it dropped all the way down and now its even worst.  I had thought mcafee prediction of 1 million in few year was foolish.  But i thought by then, 100k would seem very reasonable.  Now... it doesn't even look like it will hit 10k even for a very long time.Does anyone here there is no future for btc anymore?  Anyone that has bought btc and held it for the last 1.5 year already is down a lot of money unless you are trading and even then most traders are losing.



I had thought wow if btc would go up to 50k, that would be a decent size of money.  And if it go to 100k, i would be happy.  And if it ever goes to 300k, wow that would be more than good enough.  I did thought about hey imagine btc goes up to 1 million, then well most people would be millionaires if they had at least 2 btc etc.  So someone with 5 btc would feel very good.  But now... it doesn't seem like any of this would happen anytime soon?  There is basically no progress at all for btc.. it keeps going down.



I thought to myself... wow if btc goes to a high enough price, i might not have to worry about money anymore.  Thus anyone here with a job or no job or low paying job or whatnot, btc might be enough to not worry about money anymore.  I mean i'm sure tons of people thought about this right? 

What percentage of people would you say that is?  Whether it is now or all the way back in 2009 etc.  Back then when people bought btc or got it, i assume people usually got like 10 or 50 or 100 or in bunches right when it was like 1 cent or 10 cents or even 1 dollar?  The thing is are there lots of people on this forum who held at least 50, 100 or more btc a while back like say 2012 and before?  I would have to assume some people probably had 500 or 1000 or even 5000 easily back then right when it was like under 10 cents and then using it or not caring about it?



Thus there probably are many would be millionaires even now had they kept the btc?  How much people around the world would you say that is around?  Are there lot of people back then who had say 500 or 1000 btc and bought it for like 10 cents and then sold it at 1 dollar and thought great i made a great profit?  Then they did not follow btc after that only to see how much it has went up later on?

Does anyone think there is any future with it?  I bought shift when it was below 2 dollars thinking it would do very good.  But now price is down very low but not only that, trading volume is very low.  I thought shift was going to be huge because of what others said here.

Thoughts on this?  I got some last time and price has went down a lot already.  Should i buy more to average the price or is there no point?  So many people were talking about shift back then and now price went down a lot... but the volume that is trading is very low as well...

Is there a picture that someone took of how the message looks like?  I saw another thread where someone showed a picture of it but it only shows like an okay to click on and no X on the top corner?


Also because i still have not claimed my btc cash and gold yet... would you say its probably better idea to claim those first... and then send the rest of the btc from my electrum to hardware wallet?  I ask this because if you do download that software, wouldn't that mean any btc cash or gold that you have and didn't claim, a hacker could claim that as well?  Also does anyone know if those ppl who downloaded the fake electrum from that message, did it infect their entire computer such as if they use a password program like lastpass or keepass, it infected that as well so all your password and accounts from a password manager is now infected?  Or its only the electrum? 

Hey all.  So just to confirm.  Would it just be fine right now if i open electrum 3.0.5 as is and then try to send the remaining btc i have in my wallet to somewhere else?  But if i get that message, then i close it.  Then i close electrum.  Then go to the official electrum site and download electrum? 



Right now i just want to get any btc i have in electrum out of it and do not want to use it until later on when there is very little concerns on it.



Also the message that does pop up if it gives you that message, is it a link where if you click on it, it automatically downloads it?  So if you click on it by accident, could you still immediately cancel the download or once you click on that link, that is it?  Or do you have to download it fully and also go through the installation process? 

You say if i try to send the btc and the server im using is compromised, then yes i would get that message to update electrum.  But i also have the option to x the message right and cancel the transaction?  But most likely the outcome is when i try to send btc now, i won't get the message?

How do i verify the pgp signature is legit before i download it?  Do i need to right click it or what do i need to do to make sure the link is legit?  Again this is complicated for someone like me that isn't that computer savy.  Though using electrum would be considered tech savy for most users.

okay so just to confirm this.  No one here has heard of anyone that went to the real electrum website www.electrum.org and downloaded the program and it being malicious?  I thought i was pretty sure someone mentioned this was a case with a few others?

I am using electrum 3.0.5.  I still have some amount of btc there as i previously transferred it to a hardware wallet.  I have not tried to open my electrum wallet on my windows laptop for a while after hearing people talk about all the issues with the update and those scams going on. 


1.  First off, if i open my electrum wallet now, will it ask me to update to the newest version via a message?  Or it only will show me this message if i try to send btc?  Or i might not even get this message and i could send the btc?  The other thing is if you do receive this message, i assume you can close that message as say no or x it out?  Is it clicking no or closing the message by x'ing it out?


At the moment, I want to send the btc i have in my electrum to my hardware wallet.  Thus that way, i don't want to use the electrum wallet anymore at least for now.  But i have not opened the program once due to all the issues with electrum.  What is the best method for me to do this right now?



2.  Should i just go to www.electrum.org and download the newest up to date electrum on the website?  As long as you don't download electrum from github or those other links, are you fine?  Someone mentioned that as long as you download it from the official site... you are fine.  Is this true or false?  Because i think i recalled reading that the hacker posted the fake link on their site for a short duration where anyone that downloaded electrum from the official site downloaded that malicious file?  Or is this not true?
