2425  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit.com -- The Social Gambling Game (formerly moneypot.com) on: September 14, 2015, 01:37:37 AM
Sorry noob question here but what do you mean by TTM? when you look at his user history https://www.bustabit.com/user/Phoking the highest he went upto was 104+btc, he's now dropped to 61.41btc, the largest win i can see in his history is for i think 5 btc? does TTM not show on user history or what  Undecided

I believe TTM stands for "ToTheMoon" another bitcoin gambling site (http://tothemoon.me) based on the bustabit source
ah that makes sense thanks for clearing that up for me i was trying to figure it out for the past few hours, kinda had a feeling it was an abbreviation for another site..

No, the 17th, with 2128.
that's crazy The DCR Burn address is already 17th on the list, it's starting to climb up abit faster now that the price has dropped abit, hopefully we can stay around these prices for a little bit longer so we can burn more coins before we start to move up in price, hopefully gladimor can get his internet situation fixed soon too..

OMG Shocked  Just play 532 bet , Get profit 100BTC ++  awesome
How Much BTC  need to play like that ?

That is one lucky guy, hoarding 100 btc in that game site. Huga bankroll and balls made of steel for sure  Shocked
oh wow i was away from bustabit the last few days i completely missed this, must of been fun to watch haha, it's cool to see wins like this im sure he is one happy fella!!
And the fact he only bet 532 times and won +100btc  is truly mind boggling  Huh

He hit TTM for almost 50 BTC right after this as well, so he's probably up at least 150 BTC. Not sure if he hit any other sites.

some people seem to either really dislike the new design or they love it, maybe have it so you can have a few different layouts/ backgrounds to the site and have the (new design a side option for people that want to keep it) just an idea though, the background starts to hurt my eyes after a little while so a new one would be nice

What happens to the funds if nobody completes those challenges?
if nobody completes the challenge they will probably host another giveaway, i might be wrong though the 5btc was funded by Unibtc so if nobody completes the challenge  he might hold a different type of challenge/competition, but then again i could be wrong...

2438  Economy / Gambling / Re: try your chess skills for bitcoin on: September 11, 2015, 02:09:22 AM
An avid chess player cannot beat top-tier chess software, which is free. Stockfish has a rating of 3000+ and the top player in the world plays at a rating of ~2800
that's pretty insane but for someone to have programmed that wouldn't they have been able to produce a score that is 3000+ also? , or am i just completely wrong

Well, no, that's not really how it works. In this case, computer programs rely first and foremost in their capacity to quickly look ahead through the large number of available moves, analyzing every possible course of action and its consequence, within a set time frame (optimized with some clever algorithms, so they don't actually waste time checking any and every move) - something that a human player just can't really do as well, or as fast (even if they know how that process works in theory).

This is the reason it's hard to make any PVP based casino game. When people smell money they will spend long hours making hacks to take advantage of the system and PvP games need to receive a lot of input from the player's computer, which is a weakness.

There are at least a few ways to overcome the advantage computers have: one way could be to increase the number of possible moves in a game; another could be to avoid perfect information games (where both/all players have access to all available information on the status of the game).
ah, thanks for clearing that up for me, after that post i googled a little bit about the subject and found out pretty much what you explained, thanks though
