How?

We're a cryptocurrency gambling site. The typical high roller signs up using a throwaway email address and uses TOR or VPN. They deposit, play and withdraw and then never use the account again. Sending people an email asking for information is not something that happens in this industry.

Edit: I forgot to also point out a lot of our older accounts don't even have an email address as it wasn't required for the first few years and accounts were only created by BTC address.

~

You seem determined to ensure we don't have any genuine customers left.

Can't you exclude them from a re-lottery if you just exclude all IDs with ID number > 15xxx that have lottery tickets between 23k to 27k or something, I bet you have the better insights to the numbers. Of course one or two legit users will also be excluded that way, but well.

Not just one or two legitimate users but thousands of them. We don't want to punish people for being new customers.

or you never pay them

That.

There are only 10 accounts to check after the lottery so it isn't very clever of them to think they'll go unnoticed.
2425  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Contest with $30,000 in GUARANTEED PRIZES now live! on: August 27, 2018, 11:32:15 AM
What about a lottery by deposit in a certain period or have you found that the bots deposited?

At least one of them tried that but I don't think they will again.  Wink

I suppose what ever the suggestion to redistribute sadly will have a botting potential as it's something of monetary value.

The only thing that kind of doesn't have monetary value is the reward points.

1 Reward Point = 1 Satoshi. You can sell directly if you have more than 100,000.

I'm looking for something that can't be gamed by the botters.
2426  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Contest with $30,000 in GUARANTEED PRIZES now live! on: August 27, 2018, 10:54:25 AM
Or you just redistribute the winnings for the bots to the other lottery ticket owners of that week, a re-raffle.

That was my first idea then I realised that with the ticket database being full of bots we would just end up with another set of cheats winning.

2428  Other / Meta / Re: Account Hacked on: August 27, 2018, 09:04:48 AM
It might take a while but I hope you can recover it.

I wouldn't have too much hope looking at all the other threads requesting recovery of hacked accounts it looks like the admins gave up doing it many months ago.
2429  Other / Meta / Re: Mod, please check new plagiarism: Reporting copy/pasting, please permban on: August 27, 2018, 08:32:11 AM
Am I right or should I report this in some other way?

It's up to you but I always use the report to moderator link first and post here if either it doesn't get handled or it is too complicated to explain in the report text.

Edit:
Also always check on BPIP https://bpip.org/profile.aspx?p=maremostro

This one is already banned.

Well, this sounds nice. A lot of the people have been playing the Lottery for months and they have not won a single Satoshi. It will be a good incentive to give them some kind of bonus to reward their loyalty. In my country, our Lottery has a lot more small winners at the bottom end of the prizes, so there are always some kind of hope for these people that they would win something bigger in the future, when they win small prizes at the bottom.

That's true of all the big lotteries. I'll put that on the list of long-term suggestions but I don't think it will work as a way of giving away this bag of loot. It'll just attract more bots for the week we do it as it will be a big +EV event.

Feedback from wetsuit on the suggestions so far: "I was looking for something more exciting".

add more coins Smiley

We're going to be doing that anyway. I'm looking for an exciting way if giving our genuine customers a one-off bonus.

If the bots don't get the prices will they be re-distributed to legitimate users?

Yeah, we're trying to work out the best way to do. I asked in our main thread for suggestions.

It's quite a big pot with the amount we confiscated from cheats over the last 3 weeks.
2434  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FreeBitco.in - Contest with $30,000 in GUARANTEED PRIZES now live! on: August 27, 2018, 06:53:58 AM
Not all 15xx things are bot.

That is very true, we do still get a large number of genuine customers joining us all the time. However, those 4 were part of a botnet and didn't receive those prizes. It was a much smaller network than the ones we got rid of so far and we are continuing our work on weeding out the rest of them.
2435  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FreeBitco.in - Contest with $30,000 in GUARANTEED PRIZES now live! on: August 26, 2018, 06:11:37 PM
do not worry))) are bots! they will not be paid

Yeah, I have to wait to hear from wetsuit on that but if it is another botter they didn't get the memo. Anyway, 754 million fewer tickets (63% reduction) means we cleared most of them out and now we can have a look at what is left and adjust the anti-bot system accordingly.
2436  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Contest with $30,000 in GUARANTEED PRIZES now live! on: August 26, 2018, 04:07:38 PM
Bots are actually exist since the first days of freebitcoin, at least I know there were many people abusing freebitcoin by creating many accounts to claim the free btc. If those old abusers are not banned yet,

Very unlikely they survived that long.

Instead of splitting the lottery, it is better if freebitcoin find a better system to avoid those bots so bots wont be able to join the lotteries.

That's what we did.
2437  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Big wins at FreeBitco.in on: August 26, 2018, 03:36:04 PM
Nobody believe in the freebitco.in lottery anymore. This week may not the lowest price... so sad.

Actually, it is great news as it is because we got rid of the botnets that were exploiting it.

You can read about it the correct thread. FreeBitco.in - Contest with $30,000 in GUARANTEED PRIZES now live!

And so on. Coincidence? I think not. Probably a user who just write his posts in advance then just quickly posts them over his two accounts in one go. Could be more but nothing stands out on quick inspection.

Can't find anything with addresses but both accounts seem likely to be hacked.

So, if it is no problem to ask, what is the oustanding balance in everybody's accounts? As in, if everybody were to set automatic withdrawal, what would the next payout total be like? I bet it's huge!

You can see that on the stats page. 'User savings' means the total balance of all accounts and it is 1,262.449 BTC.
