2421  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price will reach $4000 after halving ? on: June 27, 2016, 11:02:03 PM
I think the most wise investment is to invest money that you don't need for your so called " real life", this means doing a cost average by purchasing a reasonable amount monthly at whatever price the BTC price is at. This way, you can end up with a decent portfolio that may be worth a lot in a long time.
2422  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have u ever received BTC accidentally or randomly? on: June 27, 2016, 10:58:18 PM
I guess I am not that lucky to receive free bitcoins out of the blue. No such things never happened to me.

I had to always earn my bitcoins. Be it from trading, mining and signature campaigns. Nothing came free to me. I had to spent a lot of time to earn my bitcoin. Instead I received less bitcoins few time than expected. Cheesy

Same, I have never recieved anything out of nowhere, it all took hard work. This makes me appreciate my bitcoins more and this is why I don't waste them on stuff I don't need.

I have had a few dreams where I received BTC randomly tho lol.
2423  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in the year 2100 on: June 27, 2016, 10:57:03 PM
The more time Bitcoin survives, the stronger it gets and more chances that it will keep living since having a long solid blockchain makes it more valuable than any new coin.

So any new system will need to have some game-changing technology to ever try to challenge Bitcoin. So yes, its not reasonable to think that BTC will still be very relevant in 2100.
2424  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Anonymous Enough For You? on: June 27, 2016, 10:55:36 PM
It can be anonymous enough, but you need to take annoying steps like coin mixing and whatnot, which doesn't make it very user friendly. Once we have stuff like confidential transactions, it will be way better.
2425  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's stopping people from using bitcoin? on: June 27, 2016, 10:47:16 PM
I think one of the major drawbacks is for the newbies, and even for the experienced, it's very easy to make a mistake and end up paying a lot of money, or not enough money, but mistakingly adding or subtracting a zero or moving a comma, and BTC has no way to get refunds so..
2426  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is your money aim? At which point you would go in "retire"? on: June 27, 2016, 09:50:27 PM
I think a hard but realistic goal is trying to reach the 21 BTC milestone. Once I have 21 BTC I will finally feel relaxed thinking I am in a good position for long term holding. In fact I will not enjoy spending BTC until I reach 21.

2428  Economy / Speculation / Re: 400 will not hold on: June 26, 2016, 12:15:20 PM
OP is being a big bear again so it shows that you can't trust him. Keep buying and who the fuck cares if it goes to below 500 again, in the long term it will be 50000 so only braindead zombies that are short sighted aren't stocking on BTC at whatever price.
2429  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is de-facto new asset class and Brexit confirmed it on: June 26, 2016, 12:08:47 PM
Bitcoin is better than gold and all other assets ever combined, a lot of people hate this fact so they manipulate it. They are manipulating its rise right now again to make people think this is a bull trap and trigger a selling phase, but the truth is the whole thing has been bullish since the last 150 dollar floor in January 2015.
2430  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will one BTC ever reach the value of 50k? on: June 26, 2016, 11:58:46 AM
50.000 dollars is a realistic figure in the next decade. Take into account that bitcoin is still a tiny 10 billion economy with potential to reach the trillion dollar marketcap, 50k dollars is perfectly reasonable if things go as expected.
2431  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1 BTC = 1000$ in 2016 on: June 26, 2016, 11:48:54 AM
BTC is holding strong on 600's territory, we have had a bit of a fall last hours from 680 but in the bitcoin world 40 dollars means shit nothing, so we can still go to 700's in the next month and then work from there.
2432  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Oh Fuck! - This asshole published my private key! on: June 26, 2016, 11:45:03 AM
Im assuming what this guy did is just generate a bunch of keys and then he published the private keys and the public keys of said newly generated keys... and the chances of your key being there are lower than an asteroid falling from earth and hitting you on your face.
2433  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is CHINA CONTROLLING Bitcoin? on: June 26, 2016, 11:30:20 AM
The chinamen has a strong influence in Bitcoin since the are the kings of mining due their cheap as hell electricity, they also are in one of the biggest volume exchanges in the game (huobi) so yes its very reasonable that they have a strong impact on Bitcoin economy, but saying "controlling" is simply too strong of a word to claim.
2434  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will never reach $700 again on: June 25, 2016, 04:30:47 PM
It's funny because we have been above 700 and below 700 a couple of times now, and it seems it's a matter of hours before the 680 resistance is broken and we start going to 700+ again, so OP has been wrong on this prediction multiple times now.
2435  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do Hashocean company will close on: June 25, 2016, 04:29:35 PM
Well if I knew I would invest, but im too paranoid about Hashocean disappearing overnight, which is what I think it's reasonable to think as an inevitable outcome.

Sooner or later they will take their profits and leave. It's fundamentally a ponzi after all.
2436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can people be buying eth right now? on: June 25, 2016, 04:13:02 PM
People love to gamble, and ETH is the biggest altcoin right now, which means is a good place to take some risks and try to get advantage of all those price swings and big liquidity. Some people take longs with margin trading and they are risking big amounts like 10 BTC. So if you go from 10 BTC buying at 12 dollars, and then only a 2 dollar increase can give you very good results. This is why there is a lot of action in ETH: speculation, its people trying to get more BTC.
2437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Monero Gang : G T F O on: June 25, 2016, 04:10:51 PM
I think Monero is a legit project and they are not trying to scam anyone, they are putting hard work into making a coin that is fundamentally different from Bitcoin.

But like I said before, in the future we will have Confidential Transactions and a better and incentivized CoinJoin thanks to Schnorr signatures. And this will make "anonymous coins" a lot less relevant since all markets will be using Bitcoin anyway.

I think Monero is planning on deploying confidential ring transactions in the next six months. When would you guesstimate Bitcoin would get it forked in? Six years?

Well you are exaggerating there and you know it.
Confidential Transactions as far as I know, only needed segwit deployed. I think we will be able to have this feature probably next year. Definitely not six years.

2439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can coins like Monero challenge Bitcoin? on: June 25, 2016, 03:51:13 PM
Coinjoin + confidential transactions in Bitcoin will be enough anonymity. Monero will have a harsh time to justify its existence and im holding some XMR myself. It will be thought trying to combat Bitcoin's huge network effect.

In fact all alts will eventually have problems trying to justify their existence.
2440  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell my stocks buy bitcoin... on: June 24, 2016, 12:58:34 PM
Two weeks later re buy..?

Good move imo, but we don't know if stocks will rebound. If more countries start going Brexit deep shit is about to happen. For starters we have in Ireland people wanting to make another referendum because they don't want to leave the EU, and they are considering splitting from UK to stay in EU.

And some countries are going to have elections soon so there is a lot of political doubt about what is going to happen.

Bitcoin and gold are the place to be imo but good luck with your gambles.
