Probably another hype on the project just like on their ICO, though the project is good but saying to dominate the payment system might be too much for UTK. The price is still down and was not able to make a new peak last bull trend so I think something is wrong about this project that needs to be improve, if this is a real big thing people will use this eventually, they have good partners already though. Ukrainian Vice Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov demand crypto exchanges to freeze all Russian accounts so that the sanction can be effective, but most exchanges did not support this.
Ukraine has no power on exchanges that is not under there watch, not in their country and this is going to be impossible to achieve. Russia could've made early-stage plans. No immediate issuance of licences on cryptocurrency mining gonna impact or make big changes to get rid of the sanctions. Right now to overcome the sanctions, the right way is to end the war and make talks and conclude with some treaty. Did you miss the part where tons of companies voluntarily decided to cut ties with Russia? Bitcoin won't help in situation like that. And it's not needed or practical for trading with China or India. They could use it as a reserve asset, but gold has proven itself to be better.
More countries have come out of Russia. On the other side Ukraine have received more than $55 million in bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. In the received donation amount $15 million have been spend on buying military gears. So, this has been helping Ukraine in some means. The same doesn't assure of making Ukraine recover as before. Websites can't be banned in this day and age and that has to be a lesson for everyone. I mean our government tried to ban some places as well, but they failed miserably, because we all just used VPN and moved on. Even today there are some websites that are blocked, and we are still using it without a problem. So all in all there is absolutely no way to keep Russian people from using any of these websites, there is no way to keep anyone away from these websites, they will just use VPN and still reach it. Which goes to show you that, all these sanctions could be waltz around and find a better method, and not keep anyone in russia, stay away from rest of the world. The Websites cannot be banned if we use a VPN service. But what worries Russians most is the rumor that Russia will completely shut down the global internet on March 11, 2022. In March 2019, Russia ran a test of Private Internet, which will disconnect from the rest of the world but keep the Internet working for its citizens. The same way North Korea is doing with its own country. This is really terrible for citizens living in Russia.  This isn't terrible, because they themselves trying to isolate and test. If I'm not wrong every first world country will have this prepared and tested. Only Russia and North Korea revealed it to the world. Before making such tests countries need to analyse whether they can self fulfill their needs without foreign investment and imports. I think OP is reffering to using BTC as a mean if doing transactions in and out of the country since most banks stopped working with russia so i guess it's a great alternative i mean that's why it was created in the first place.
Maybe OP is referring to bitcoin as an alternate, but considering the prevailing situation it is hard. Most of support systems has stopped functioning within and for Russia. So, even if someone wants to buy bitcoin this is going to be a big problem. Even the mastercard and Visa services have been stopped. What we can expect is a long term recovery after the war. There is no immediate impact to happen with Russia's economy even if it goes full on bitcoin. |
