2441  Economy / Exchanges / Re: I need to ask you guys this question on: January 11, 2023, 05:49:09 PM
If I am trading on a centralised exchange and I decide to close an order that's not executed yet will fees be deducted?
What platform are you trading on and what type of trading? If you mean to close is that you "cancel" the order before it is executed, then most likely no fees will be requested from you.
Either if the order is executed or you close a position, a fee will be deducted from you.
To avoid all of this, read the fees page of the platform and avoid any platform that does not explain to you how to deduct the fees accurately.
2442  Other / Meta / Re: Users with highest Merit/Posts on: January 11, 2023, 05:19:06 PM
Nice initiative from you, the age of the forum is older than 2018, and there are many topics/accounts that deserve thousands of merit points, but they were not highlighted and they could have collected a lot of merit points in a short time if they continued to post.

Therefore, I suggest adding the time factor so that it becomes active highest Merit/Posts, who are no longer active.

Edit: It looks like @DdmrDdmr made it
2443  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I'm starting an exchange | Need some help with features/ideas on: January 11, 2023, 05:05:53 PM

Thanks for the advice and feedback, it means the world!
How will the data be logged? Do you intend, in the current period or in the future, to connect to centralized platforms? Or what is the mechanism to ensure that?
If the data works using blinded bearer certificates or anything similar then I'd be interested.

In general, it is difficult to guarantee privacy, with the possibility of connecting to several platforms (CEXs) and with cheaper fees, and therefore the combination of the two terms may not be accurate.
2444  Other / Meta / Re: Turn off warn for new replies made while posting on: January 11, 2023, 04:45:15 PM
So I am sharing this topic with everyone. Hope this post will be helpful especially for new users who are new and don't know about this . And now those who do bounties. they know that the bounties are limited which makes it a barrier to post POA quickly.
Personal opinion:
If you feel annoyed by such warning then you are trying to post AFAP and not trying to add new value to the topic you are trying to respond to.
Reading above comment, which was posted while you are writing a response, will help you improve the quality of the responses, and therefore disabling this feature is not a good thing.
2445  Other / Meta / Re: Why are account farmers still left to roam free in the forum? on: January 11, 2023, 04:36:53 PM
If it's easy for them to collect merits, then it's easier for you to rank-up 3-5 accounts, and then join signature campaigns instead of selling those accounts.
Most of the accounts that are sold will be either pre-established merit system or have very low merits rate.
Add to this all the risks related to the possibility of exposing the account, obtaining negative trust, and other problems.
Only idiots would buy those accounts *if they were real and not scams*
2446  Economy / Services / Re: Renting with Bitcoin? on: January 11, 2023, 04:06:10 PM
Does anyone know of a website or service that offers rentals such as houses, apartments, or rooms, with the rent paid in Bitcoin?
Please share resources if you know some.
Is bitcoin the right currency to use in such a service or are there obviously better ones? (less volatility/more open/public / ...)
Be more clear to get better answers, but in short, all you need is to know if the site accepts gift cards and then you can easily buy them, and this is mostly in applications that do not require KYC.

If you are ready to do KYC, then you can order a Bitcoin credit card and then top up the balance with bitcoins.
You can order from your friend, or ask here if someone will pay for you.
Annnnd many other options.

Is bitcoin the right currency to use in such a service or are there obviously better ones? (less volatility/more open/public / ...)
The answer varies according to the country, taxes, and the store's need for liquidity. If the store does not intend to sell Bitcoin within the next 10 years, it may be an amazing deal.
2447  Economy / Reputation / Re: I've been hacked on: January 09, 2023, 06:21:15 PM
Sorry to hear that but you need to work hard to restore your reputation, you will start by trying to pay this amount over a year as the average campaign costs are $400 per month or $4800 per year.
Pay that amount and convince @[banned mixer] / [banned mixer]  to do so, and you will get a natural trust with a pledge to stop running any campaigns in the future.

Most importantly, has all the money been hacked? Do you know how it was hacked? Do you pledge extra money to other campaigns?

Sometimes, bad days are there to remind us that we have good ones to look forward to. Sad it happened, we'll run new campaign soon managed by Royse777.
Personally, I do not advise you to do it (to the reputation of the forum.) @Royse777 is a great member, but currently he is temporarily banned, and he had an old trust problem.

@Hhampuz offered you to do this for free you can hire him and you  can get an extended list here ---> Overview of Bitcointalk Signature Anti-Spam Campaign Managers

All those are best:

2448  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I think it's wrong on: January 08, 2023, 01:09:20 PM
No one can predict what will happen in the future, but taking what happened in the past as an indicator to predict the future is a good thing. Forecasts give a range of prices between 10k and 100K, which is a wide range to say safely that it is possible since we are not talking about expectations between 40k and 50K. Or between 50K to 55K.

So determining the range is what will determine whether it is true or false
2449  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Exchanges lie to you! on: January 08, 2023, 12:59:09 PM
It is their way of promoting their products, and in fact, for the continuity of the work of these platforms, they need the money of the users, just like the banks, as they need the money of the users to continue to work, the only difference is that the legislative systems force the state to force the banks to return your money (even if it has lost its value) and this feature is not found in the platforms central.
An additional problem is how they use depositors' money.
2450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is a good and functional mobile wallet for Tron and USDT? on: January 08, 2023, 12:10:56 PM
Most of wallets that are recommended above are closed source, so they are safe for now, but no one knows what will happen in the future, so if you do not plan to invest large sums or for long periods, they are fairly good.
you can also try -----> https://unstoppable.money/
But if you want to store a long time, it is better for you to transfer your stablecoins into cash, given that stablecoins (USDT) may not be stable in the long term.
2451  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: US regulators warn banks over cryptocurrency risks on: January 08, 2023, 11:56:34 AM
Almost all central banks around the world are issuing such warnings, and therefore there is nothing new about them and they are not related to FTX, although such scam/hack renews these claims.

As long as they are warnings, nothing new has been taken, and they may have a bad / good side by speeding up the legal frameworks and imposing taxes instead of wasting time in the courts to prove who squandered the users' money.
2452  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are there truly crypto whales and what are your takes on them? on: January 08, 2023, 11:50:44 AM
I came across a topic asking if people can really change their name to Bitcoin for 200btc here
and my answer was yes speaking for myself.
That very topic reminded me of an issue my brother had as he was scammed of $2000 worth of BTC but we had to track the transaction using the transaction ID on Blockchain and when tracked, we finally found the coin in a wallet containing over $600m(36754.6) worth of Bitcoin after several transactional movement.
How was the tracking done? Sometimes scammers mislead some by sending money to other people's Binance accounts or mixing them with some of the addresses belonging to Binance.
If you are sure that the money was sent directly to Binance, then your chance of recovering it is great, just be quick and contact the support team.
Other than that, perhaps if you post transaction ID , we may be able to give you more information.

and yes, Some whales (+10K BTC) post their bitcoins for commercial, tax or other reasons.
2453  Economy / Reputation / Re: Did NicNacCoin account get sold or hack? on: January 08, 2023, 11:38:48 AM
The main reason behind this is that I had access rights for multiple members of this account and everyone could publish announcements from this account.  After the project is completely dead I'm not sure if I'll use this account for monetization, so in 2021 I'm looking for ways to monetize the forum.  I keep joining various places on the forum especially the bounty and signature campaigns.
Whoever was creating that posts is the one who will determine whether this is acceptable or not. If there are other members who are creating those posts, or most of the posts are not by you, joining signature campaigns may not be allowed due to the different quality of the posts.

If you were not the one who wrote the replies (other than those related to the project), it is better to declare that publicly and leave the choice to the campaign manager to either continue paying you or remove you from the campaign.

You will also get negative trust if the quality of the posts differs greatly, and you did not declare that, given that the account has been hacked.
2454  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Giving customized Bitcoin-themed Gifts to my clients on: January 07, 2023, 02:47:44 PM
I am happy to buy it because it has a modern design and is suitable for those who have information about bitcoin, so it will leave a good impression on customers if you give it to them as a gift, and it may be a kind of free advertising if they give it to their friends.
2455  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Deposit as an Act of Giving: Judge Rules Celsius Customers Don't Own their Money on: January 07, 2023, 02:27:12 PM
Even if all the terms of use are in your favour, reaching a final ruling in such cases may take many years, and then, most likely, your currencies will be covered in dollars, not in bitcoins, and therefore you lose money that you could have doubled easily if you bought bitcoin and forgot it instead of getting interest at 18.63% APY.

It is also rare to find terms of service that stand by customers.
2456  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I sell motorbikes to buy bitcoins on: January 07, 2023, 02:22:19 PM
What you did can be a successful investment if you develop a plan for when you will sell the bitcoin that you bought, and what will you buy with it, meaning will you buy a new motor with it after three years, or will you reinvest?
In general, if you develop a good plan, it may be a very successful investment.
2457  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why these types wicks there on: January 07, 2023, 12:58:08 PM

This is not normal wicks, so why like this? it because of low liquidity??
So, more than 3 days, you got some responses without giving us any additional details, this screenshot does not show anything, there are no additional details, and therefore all responses will be far from what you want to get.
Candles alone and for a short period will not tell you much, but when used with trading strategies, you will get a better ability to predict the long term.
2458  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Intersango owes over 50 million dollars in Bitcoin to thousands of users! on: January 07, 2023, 11:26:11 AM
Did you mean Patrick Stratman aka phantomcircuit? Who was an old developer and stole some bitcoin about 8 years ago? Also, the Intersango code has not been updated for several years, and therefore advising users to avoid that site will not change anything, as the code is old and most of us have not heard of that platform. Huh

Or is there something new about that case?
2459  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin What is the probability of 60 K+ again? on: January 07, 2023, 11:11:04 AM
2022 In 22 trade I have never had to accept so many losses since the advent of cryptocurrencies. Those who are mainly dependent on trade are now on the verge of destitution. Before 2022, it seems that trading has not suffered so much loss2022 is a cursed year for traders. If anyone has any idea on when bitcoin position will turn please share it will save many traders like me from losing.
Most of those who want to see the price of 60,000 are those who invested in the year 2021, when the price was close to the levels of 40,000 to 60,000, and they expected that the price would go to a hundred thousand, and thus the easy profits without effort.

I do not think that we will see these prices soon, so if you are one of those who bought at that price, it is better to consider that the value of your investment is zero, and then wait about 5 years to years, and then you will be sure that you will see those prices.
2460  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Hash Power Fee to a Reflection ID on: January 07, 2023, 08:05:51 AM
I am on the receiving end of a bitcoin transfer. I have received a message that I need to pay a fee called "hash power fee to a Reflection ID" before the bitcoin will be deposited in my wallet.  Is this a legitimate fee or a scam?
For deposit or withdrawal? If it was for the sake of depositing, then I think it is stupidity of these scammers, when you deposit your money to them, they have the full right to use it.
Either if you got *free money* and need to deposit or request data, they are scammers.

Generally, try to use a well-reviewed, open-source wallet such as Electrum, and use platforms known to have high trading volumes.
