I don't know if everyone practices installing "uBlock Origin" as one of their browser add-ons. Though I am fully aware that this is not an ad-blocker, however, based on my experience it can effectively help solve these kinds of phishing attempts in a form of ads that is not carefully filtered by Google Roll Eyes. Been using their services for quite some time and fortunately, I never encountered such scam attempts up to this date.

2442  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I have found a good Trading Course on: December 03, 2020, 05:20:58 AM
Ok, bookmarked the youtube channel OP, and thanks for sharing it. I am impressed by visiting the channel. The man is working har do to make tutorial videos every day. Basically from the last one month, he is uploading videos quite every day. I did not see any video yet. I will try it soon and try to share feedback here about the channel. Smiley
Hey @sujonali1819, the videos that are uploaded by almost every day is a full course that he offered that was once a paid course in his website. He just decided to give the paid course for free and uploaded those pre-recorded videos every day.

Watch this video why he decided to give one of his paid courses.

Actually there are quite a lots of course that he offered and all of them are something that is quite high in price  Cheesy. Future of trading is just one of the prerequisites  if you are really want to dig deeper into technical analysis, so for now, it would be best if you are just going to to utilize and learn from all the free resources that he uploaded in youtube.

1. Need ba ng KYC sa binance if you are just a low time investor/trader?

https://news.bitcoin.com/6-cryptocurrency-exchanges-that-dont-require-kyc/
Quote
For now, though, spot trading can be accessed without requiring KYC, and you can withdraw up to 2 BTC per day.
@mirakal is correct. You can always trade without being KYC verified unless otherwise you are going to utilize Binance P2P Platform. Doon nagrerequire sila ng KYC for security and safety purposes for both buyer and seller pero kung mag te-trade ka lang nang hindi lalagpas ng 2 BTC yung withdrawal mo -- you can trade your coins freely.

2. Safe ba gamitin na mag send ng xrp (or even other coins such as eth, and bch) to Coins.ph?
As far as I know safe naman unless otherwise you are constantly transferring coins from gambling site to coins.ph or vice versa. Kasi based sa mga nabasa kong previous cases dito sa local section natin, may ilang members na nasuspend yung account due to transactions which involves gambling activities (galing sa gambling site.) Though I've never experienced such case kahit na nagtransfer ako ng BTC from gambling site to coins a few times. But still, I do not recommend to do it lalo na kapag madalas tapos against pa sa TOS nila.

Ako kabayan may utang ako as of now dito sa isang kapwa Pinoy natin pero wala akong pambayad pa , pero never kong isiping takbuhan kahit gipit ako ang ginagawa ko is nagbabayad ako ng interest kada buwan sa kanya
Thanks you sa assurance @bitcoin31. Kahit sana ganitong gawin paraan ni @asu para mabigyan niya man lang ng comfort si @DireWolfM14   Undecided

Are these people truly appreciate what bitcoin and this community has to offer for the sake of their benefits? The heck! Mas okay na mag leave na lang ng forum nang walang atraso sa iba instead of faking yourself that you are a truly trusted and reputable member of this community tapos in the end lalabas din pala totoong kulay . L O L.

@asu -- Pwede ka naman magpaliwanag at makiusap dito sa forum kasi para din naman yan sa ikagagaan ng conscience mo and of course sa local natin. We can't afford to have another TYM loan scandal here. If in any case that you are silently lurking in our community, explain mo yung side mo and certain din ako na may makakaintindi ng side mo assuming that you are being honest.
2445  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: asu's loan default on: November 30, 2020, 04:43:50 AM
Ang masaklap lang kasi bago siya mang-scam, ang ganda ng trust record niya na hindi mo aakalain talaga na magagawa niyang mang-scam.
Ganon naman talaga diba? You need to workout first your reputation before taking advantage of someone else's money or help para mabilis mo lang makuha yung intention mo. Walang magpapautang sayo kung puro shitpost lang laman ng post history mo at walang kwenta yung account na gagamitin mo. If you could look at @theyoungmillionaire's case, makikita mo na napakadami niyang contributions sa forum which led him to become one of the well known bitcointalk user internationally and locally. Ang pinagkaiba lang biglang nawala si TYM after he took his loan for about few months.

What happened::
theyoungmillionaire (u=1180530) has borrowed bitcoin from me, and agreed to adhere to a payment plan that consisted of 6 partial payments.  The whole of the loan plus interest was due to be completely payed off by June 4th, 2020.  In early January theyoungmillionaire contacted me via PM and informed me that he would be unable to make the payment due that month, but would instead make arrangements to pay off the whole loan by the end of the month of January.  As of this point in time I have not received any payments toward his loan.  theyoungmillionaire has not logged into the forum since January 6, and has not responded to any PMs (3) that I have sent since that date.

But then, I still hope na mali ako ng assumptions kasi hindi rin maganda yung mga nangyari this year at nagsabay-sabay yung pandemic at bagyo. Maybe being on a signature campaign is just enough to sustain his/her family needs amidst pandemic kaya kahit papaano understandable naman yung situation niya ngayon.

Pero sana at least kahit ung simpleng pagpaparamdam sa inutangan eh gawin niya, nakakacomfort sa lender yung assurance na pwedeng ibigay ni @asu na mababayaran niya yung loan.
2446  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 🛑 🛑 If Your Cryptocurrency Hardware Wallet Is Lost, Stolen then what to Do? 🛑 on: November 23, 2020, 05:39:18 AM
Can we restore seed phrases from a hardware wallet . Just like trust wllet or other if we allready login into it and the we have a option to restore or see phrases again.. Huh
Yes! This instance commonly happens when you accidentally or manually reset your hardware device.

The option "Restore from recovery phrase" from your Hardware device is pretty similar to how other wallet operate like Electrum, Bluewallet or any non-custodial wallet that lets you hold your private keys. If for instance you are using Ledger Nano device, what you'll do is to just connect the device to your computer and navigate thru the said option, enter your new PIN code and then finally enter your mnemonic phrase.

There are lots of guide that ca be found on the internet though.

2447  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 🛑 🛑 If Your Cryptocurrency Hardware Wallet Is Lost, Stolen then what to Do? 🛑 on: November 23, 2020, 04:58:19 AM
In case your HW wallet is stolen or was damaged. You can just import the mnemonic seed phrase to a non-custodial wallet like Electrum and create a new standard wallet with an option "You have already a seed". Based on my experience though, you need to remember what type of address you are using in Ledger in order to verify the "derivation path" for your Ledger device.

These are the default path:

/m/49'/0'/0' == Segwit Address (starts with 3..)
/m/44'/0'/0' == Legacy Address (starts with 1..)
/m/84'/0'/0' == Native Segwit (starts with bc1)

Just to add.

You can also use [1] https://multisender.app/ if you wish to send ETH tokens to multiple addresses at once. One important reminder though, use a throwaway wallet instead of using your personal wallet for privacy purposes.

Here's a good read to familiarize yourself about bulk sending.

2449  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Please Help on: November 23, 2020, 12:24:28 AM
I'm using Wallet Connect
I think what @Bitcoin_Arena means is the wallet interface you are using to manage your ERC20 token not the function that can be found on UNISWAP for connecting your wallet. If however you are using metamask as an extension to your browser. After loggin in, you can easily spot your wallet logo at the top right corner of the extension. Go to

Settings --> Advanced --> Advance gas controls (set to ON)

The only problem when using UNISWAP is actually the expensive transaction due to the small cap projects that polute the entire Ethereum network causing a massive network congestion which result to an expensive transaction fee especially if there is GAS war happening. Just a tip though, in my experience, if you really want your transaction to be broadcasted quickly, you need to have at least 10 USD equivalent amount of ETH in your wallet in order to avoid "failed" or "reverted" transaction due to low gas price. It'll cost you more if ever your transaction gets stuck and eventually failed  since the gas fee you've paid will never be refunded.

Thanks for the little fun.

2451  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Live Update on: November 22, 2020, 08:12:57 AM
Yes, its totally safe as long as you are using the latest update regardless if you've skipped some previous updates, it is not the same with electrum and so far I haven't seen such kind of malware/virus attached on the Ledger Live update. It's kinda irritating though since almost every time they have a new update and still you can notice some bug especially on the transaction history and their graph  Roll Eyes.

Anyhow, you can see all the update on their github.

Turns out my computer (windows vista 32bit) isn't supported anymore and can't run electrum.
Unfortunately I'll have to stick to online exchanges, which is the best in your opinion? (low fees, good convenience, sigwit,  security etc).
Exchanges are not wallets. You don't actually own your bitcoin if you store it there. Why not spend more money to buy new hardware or upgrade to a newer version of Windows? Or buy a USB and install a live Tails OS for managing your crypto? That is way better than trusting exchanges.
I never thought that installing a bootable Tails OS is possible  Cheesy. Agree with @joniboini though if you don't have a full working and updated WINDOWS OS. You can try following this tutorial in order to manage your crypto using a different operating system. It'll be also a good experience for you even though you are just starting out.

I am not quite sure how my suggestion would be of any help but aside from directly making contact with coinbase support, you can also get some help by reaching out with their reddit moderators.

[1] https://www.reddit.com/r/CoinBase/about/moderators/

Moreover, there is nothing new with all these abrupt account restriction especially if there is an ongoing bull run happening. Take a look at their sub reddit and you'll see a lot of complaint about restrictions issues on their account. If, however, your issue has been solved -- you might want to transfer your funds to a non - custodial wallet if ever you are just going to stack it for a long period of time and then transfer it again to an exchange if you are planning to sell.

Wait? Did you mean storing your bitcoin to an a centralised exchange? Though it isn't a bad idea if you are using it as a temporary place to store your bitcoin for day to day spending or for daytrading. However, it would be the worst idea if you are planning it for storing bitcoin for HODLing puposes.

If you do not have any functional desktop, why not install a non-custodial wallet like bluewallet or Electrum in your smartphone instead of directly jumping into an exchange?

As per @mk4, the link below will explain why keeping your bitcoin to a centralised exchange is a terrible idea.

Instead of taking these courses, I think you should diligently discuss trading at Forexfactory.com
I have examined the website a bit and I find it interesting to see another trading forum with a lot of reading resources and active member participating on it. However, Isn't it that forex trading is a bit different to how cryptocurrency trading works? I doubt forexfactory would help in terms of learning curve?

I have a glimpse of what he teach on one of his videos and guess what, I understand nothing lol. I can't comprehend on how and why he is connecting points.
Yes, you should start watching the free course from Beginners --> Advance --> Future of Trading. Take note that the Future of Trading course is a previously paid course in his website but decided to give it away  Shocked

Greetings Everyone,

Well, I am very much new to trading and I've been reading and watching a lot of post in this section lately. Fortunately, I found new concepts and terms that I am not familiar with in the first place. As a result, I research for more resources regarding trading especially with those materials that has a nice examples of actual charts since I am more inclined to learn with the aid of visuals. With that being said, I want to share with you guys a great but underrated trading courses in youtube. However, I am not going for a more detailed info though since I want you to personally check out his videos and give some comments about his contents.

2457  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING]FAKE ELECTRUM WALLET on: November 21, 2020, 11:41:34 AM

Is that the right one? Or should I uninstall and install the version from Electrums website and restore with seed phrase?
Yep, that is the original.

Why not try using Electrum in your desktop computer so that you can also practice verifying GPG signatures using Kleopatra?  Having the right knowledge of verifying GPG signature will allow you to not fall from fraudulent phishing application that swarms the internet, it'll also add additional skill whenever you need to encrypt or decrypt messages...

But anyways, just make sure that you will not download any application from random websites and back up your seed phrases safely away from other people's eyes.
2458  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING]FAKE ELECTRUM WALLET on: November 21, 2020, 05:07:02 AM
Even though that this Phishing attack is expected among bitcoin wallet. There is also another electrum wallet with the same name and also offers a good UI compare to the original but you can clearly see that this is an attempt of fraud and could cause some confusion for bitcoin newbs  Roll Eyes.

Surprisingly, the application has a lot of good reviews which can cause people to be enticed with this wallet LOL.

2459  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Reputable exchanges for a newbie to start with on: November 21, 2020, 04:15:27 AM
Should I remove it and reinstall from the main Electrum website link and restore the wallet from my seed phrase?
As long as the developer of Electrum is "Electrum Technologies GmbH" right before you install it in Playstore -- you'll be fine.

Reference transaction fee's, whereabouts is that in settings I'm not able to locate it?
I assume that you have finished creating your wallet and finished backing up your seed phrases on a piece of paper. You can easily see the transaction's reference under the Send Tab

2460  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Reputable exchanges for a newbie to start with on: November 20, 2020, 12:29:17 PM
I'm now looking to try some reputable exchanges. I'm in the UK if that makes a difference.
I often see most of my Facebook friends and any other cryptocurrency trading tutorials in Youtube use Binance as their platform to perform their trades maybe because of a lot of perks they can get when doing some trades. It is also worth mentioning that they do not require KYC (Know Your Customer) policy when doing some trades unless otherwise you exceed the withdrawal limit of 2 BTC and you are planning to use P2P Trading (Peer to Peer).

Currently, I think Binance is the most used platform right now but still take some precautionary measure when using their platform since there is no such place that is not susceptible for hacking incidents.

[1] https://www.cnbc.com/2019/05/08/binance-bitcoin-hack-over-40-million-of-cryptocurrency-stolen.html#:~:text=Hackers%20have%20stolen%20over%20%2440,breach%E2%80%9D%20which%20occurred%20on%20Tuesday.

Also, I know not to leave BTC on the exchanges, but as far removing BTC goes is it best to send straight to hardware wallet (assuming you have one), or should you send it to say a mobile wallet first, or does it just not matter?
It depends, If you plan to stack some bitcoin for long term hold then withdraw it directly from the exchange to your Hardware wallet, if not and you needed your profit for day to day spend your hotwallet is not a bad choice considering that it is not a large chunk of money.
